Why do you want to change from quark to x11? Whats wrong with leaving algo as is J

So, how exactly are the 100,000 other miners using a gpu (0.5-1MH max) supposed to join in? I mean even with 6x1060gtx rig with scrypt i think they manage only about 8 MH....even the very best previous gen asics only managed 100MH, but at massive power draw (1500W), so what actually is there in this for anyone but the existing 11 miners in that pool? Seems a very small market. You might want to re-read your own "Eddie against shitcoins" bit. I believe this to be a genuine coin, but, what's new? New Algo, nope. New features, Nope. Any way, just my thoughts...i wish you well, and i'll pick it up again in a few weeks when its all been dumped and they're on the next scrypt coin Anyways beside the dig (which is more at the idiots hitting it with massive hash for no good reason), i do actually really love your artwork and wallet...and wish you great success.

Try something like scrypt-n:15 (or any of the cpu only algos) and get rid of the asics, then watch the user base grow exponentially, rather than a few farmers milking it all

Love the wallet. Amazing graphics, but
why on earth hit it with 12GH/s when we are only on block 1342? Makes no sense whatsoever, how can anyone other than a farm now mine this coin?
Bad choice to use scrypt, but also, if you are going to choose scrypt, don't open a pool for 1 month, make it solo only then the hashrate will stay low for a least a short while allowing many new miners to compete. After all, we have a choice, either all mine fairly, or be greedy and let the big boys wipe out all new coins. Remember the difficulty on scrypt retargets very well, so we could all be having just as much fun mining at 10MH, when a large miner hits it with 1GH+, all they actually end up doing is competing with themselves, burning electricity...and killing the coin, crazy...
There are scrypt coins out there if you know where to look where a few hundred of us are mining them, and have been for months and the net hash still isn't over 100MH...

Make me a sensible offer if you wish.

Also, note, Cryptopia requires 200 confirms

Solo no pool, doesnt need any pools. Pools will kill it. Use a pc with an ssd not a hdd...dont ask, just try it

This coin works absolutely fine. Been mining it for last 6 months, just very gently.

Dynamic coin is the main reason. They are trading at $1 / coin not $0.04 a coin as the other sites. But you need to give full id details to be able to withdraw, and i think even be a US citizen (which i'm not) Shame cos i just want to get the best price for my coins...Perhaps some one will help me out.

Thanks J

Hi,
I'm searching for a windows binary of a SHA512 miner. I'm up for trying any. Would prefer GPU version, but CPU will be fine to. Must be able to solo mine.
Anyone know of one, please let me know
Thanks J

Why can't you guys just leave older coins alone.
There was nothing wrong with this coin as it was. I was happily cpu mining away along with only a handful of other people on an old nas box. There were no sync issues, the algo is fine, but oh no, someone has to come along and make it a token...why ? Nobody wants a coin swap, it just needs a few more miners and to get Cryptopia to take the wallet out of maintenance.
Why do peeps have to meddle. If you want your own coin, why not simply make a new one? At this rate there will be no old coins available...everything will either be waves or ethertoken.... -1 vote from me

Ok Thanks,
Roughly how long are you finding it takes to get a block? Is there anything you can do to increase your chances?

Hi,
can someone please explain to me how this wallet works.
I have version v2.0.0.0-RC6.2 open I have settings/options compete for block rewards by mining (POW) checked I have gen=1 in my .conf
getmininginfo reveals this
13:34:01  { "blocks" : 62472, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.00024414, "errors" : "", "generate" : true, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 1126, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }
Should i not have some hashespersec? What do i do to gain coin? Do i simply leave wallet open for days.
Confused J

Try mining something that not everyone else is mining, much more fun, much more profitable. Just not necessarily here and now. One of the best tips i can tell you it to jump into the pool the pooh hoppers have just left...difficuly suddenly drops, and you can mine some serious volume, then when they return the price goes up.... As with all things, it takes a certain "nack" but it's so much more fun.
