It's a trivial clone. It can be done on a weekend for a programmer familiar with forking bitcoin, maybe a few days more to get familiar with ppcoin. Most of your touted innovations were actually done by me, with ppcoin.
Yes, credit is due for the truly innovative ppcoin, you are a great developer, but BitBar really put the pieces together for me, a super high value/rare scrypt PoW+PoS coin with no pre-mine fiasco.

The p2pool interface now shows 25% stale rate indeed. Maybe there are some settings I could tweak to improve that...
looks like you found a block?

just got out of the Newbie forum and i want this to be my first post. This BitBar is truly fantastic . love the idea of a bar over thousands of coins. This Bitbar makes it easy to Consolidated your digital wealth. i have tried them all trc,ppc,nvc,ftc ,chc but this is the first thing that makes real headway and gets e exited about it. i don't even have a BTB to my name but i believe in The BitBar
i might be a newbie but this BitBar is easy to digest and that's what a cryto-currency needs to get the main stream in the game. Main stream needs the BitBar
I agree, I was super excited about NVC's innovation, but the launch was tarnished by alleged pre-mine and the coin was under attack all the time, so I couldn't really get into it. Plus I was interested in creating a coin that was super rare, but that project never got off the ground. So this coin is really a two in one for me, I'm standing behind this coin 100% and will put my meager mining efforts to exclusively mine this coin for the foreseeable future.

this thread has been derailed quite a bit. I would like to point out that we are still missing a pool of any kind Seems NVC type coin pool are really difficult, there isn't much NVC pool neither. There's like 2 or at most 3 working pool for NVC.

I post output here so its easier
"version" : "v0.4.0-nvc-3-g64c0ed4-beta", "protocolversion" : 60005, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : x.xxxxxx, "newmint" : x.xxxxx, "stake" : 0.00000000, "blocks" : 4240, "moneysupply" : 2316.79421700, "connections" : 38, "proxy" : "", "ip" : "23.21.25.65", "difficulty" : 0.97787162, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1367519413, "keypoolsize" : 102, "paytxfee" : 0.00010000, "errors" : ""
When u mine say u got 3 bars and then newmint is around 5 then goes to 4. I am thinking are they some kind of shares?
My guess is since this is proof of stake, that's some parameter on when to start calculating stake, I could be wrong.

Isn't this exactly what it looked like yesterday? also it was created using a github template.

So I'll get nothing with 800kh starting now, huh? Dammit..
If you can get even 1 block in a day, it'll be much better than mining BTC. 1 Bitbar are worth about 0.5 BTC right now.

Bitcoin was and still is the one and only mover. All other cryptocoins are more or less pathetic copies of it. None of them added anything significant over Bitcoin.
LTC has already proven you wrong, with significant hash power and market cap, tons of services for it. LTC has done the job of proving that alt coins are viable and has its uses. LTC has almost NO real services compared to bitcoin. What can you do with LTC? Buy webhosting and drugs. That's it. Other then that it's just a way for GPU miners to convert an alt coin to BTC. Well apparently MT.GOX disagrees with you, as it plans to support LTC trading. Trollbox argument, good one. How does MT.GOX legitimize anything? It's a damn marketplace! Just like BTC-E they would list their own moms public hair if they could make commission from it. Almost all the recent adopters of BTC are also accepting LTC, the most prominent being thepiratebay.se, face it LTC will become just as popular as BTC in the near future.

That's how every coin gets started, Bitcoin included, it starts with 10 or so people, then grows. Bitcoin was mined for a long time by 10 or so people, before it had more.
You have no clue. Now go and join mr_random and other pathetic profit oriented retards in your crusade to increase the value of your newly acquired coins. No you have no clue, why does Bitcoin have so much value? that's right because it was the first mover, if Bitcoin was released today, it would have nearly zero value and be bashed by you. The cryptocoin market can only support so many coins, all these coins being released recently, many of them will be the "first movers" of the cryptocoin markets, in a while new coins will not cause excitement any more, and the "first movers" are the ones with value, like Bitcoin.
