1223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] FIRST Feature-length Documentary on Bitcoin, 100% BITCOIN FUNDED! on: March 12, 2013, 05:41:12 PM
Based on the trailer you have zero qualifications to be making a documentary about anything. Maybe a documentary about not knowing how to make a film. Hey wait if I watch the trailer under the assumption of it being about not knowing how to make a film then you are really bringing it home. Rock on.

True. I hope they can pay a talented editor with the funds raised.

I have to admit that we patched this teaser together in a hurry to stay within our schedule Roll Eyes
Its not done with the same amount of attention and skill that the final movie will. We are in exams period right now, thats why we had to rush things a bit. An overhauled version will be published shortly!

I also encourage everybody to make their own version of it. This is the spirit of the project. Free use and free to distribute, no rights reserved!
If somebody is interested in all of the unedited material available, let me know and Ill send them the files before the public repository is ready.

good
I would like to have those raw footage and make my own remix Cheesy

Hi rudrigorc2,

Pls give us some days more to make an upload with all the content so far, because we are pretty busy right now (interview arrangements'n'stuff).

We'll have an announcement on this site when everything's ready. Make sure to check back in the coming days!

Can't wait to see the first spoofs Wink

Where are you putting content? Do you need space? I could give you some GB in one ftp.

I wonder if you guys heard of Casey Neistat Grin

Also, you could dramatically reduce the budget only by asking people to submit their own videos like they did in the awesome Life in a Day
No need to travel far.
I think this is the way to go. You give some instructions, ask some questions to guide them on what you are thinking of, then, you get tons of footage, use the ones that fits better.

@topic

I would like miners, from the high datacenter owner tech guy to the guerrila one.
I would like to see a live transaction going on between two guys actually making a deal in real world, differente language and countrys too.

Yup, difficulty does not change instantly, it changes about once every 2 weeks.

adjusts every 2016 blocks, target is two weeks, right?

how many orphaned did btcguild get?
1232  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Mercado Bitcoin fora on: March 12, 2013, 04:22:03 AM
MtGox joga contra o bitcoin, dá muito gol contra viu.

Os devs se matando pra resolver os problemas e o MtGox querendo mais ver o circo pegar fogo.

perai!

MTGOx fez parte dele!

1233  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Soft block size limit reached, action required by YOU on: March 12, 2013, 04:00:26 AM
My paranoid concern is that lots of thought has gone into recommending an option that is incompatible with BDB. Mike, I understand this comment is most likely bullshit, but you should understand it is legitimate. Even if bullshit, it teaches us a valuable lesson, and that is to not trust people who rush is into tweaking the system without due dilligence. That is exactly what happened, regardless of Mike's intentions.

For something as important as Bitcoin, testing is crucial. 0.8 didn't even have a second release candidate before it went live.

But sometimes we have to realize that cohesion is even more important. If something is rushed in, like 0.8, we should immediately all switch to it. In fact, 0.8 didn't introduce any new bug. Instead, it revealed a bug present in all prior versions of Bitcoin. Merchants and miners should have upgraded immediately after release, rather than delay the upgrade so late.

Today we see the WARNING RED LETTERS on all the big sites and news.

 - If its healthy to upgrade, why the hell we dont get same media space and attention from system operators to tell everyone they should do it? thats a shame.
1234  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Action needed by mining pools. Merchants should hold transactions. on: March 12, 2013, 03:31:31 AM

In china one avalon prob gets you 3-5 people for a month. As long as not in a major city i suppose where wages have not skyrocketed.

This, give me one avalon now Ill keep answering all support issues I can

Actually I sent them an email stating that I can help with their custom service and support issues during my free time, for free! But I guess my email was handled the same way as thousands of other emails  Wink

when was that? should I quote the email I sent too? Wink I guess they got tons of proposals like thatand yet the bold part remains true for everyone
lets hope for the best.
1237  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We are as gods and might as well get good at it. on: March 11, 2013, 10:57:04 AM
Cool! I heard of those some months ago but could not find anywhere.

I would be glad if one could ship a well preserved sample to me

What should alleviate the hysteria is pools not responding to the clamorings of a few repeat trollers to enable faster block growth with an agenda of gambling more cheaply.

Yep, but sadly that battle has done been lost.

So now we're left with full disclosure of all pools to see where they are at and why!!!!!!!!!!!

Sam

In this new size, could you spare smaller room for satoshi transactions and more to catch others?
Is this the right way to do it?

so what happened, why did the firmware need to be reinstalled/upgraded?

due to early shipment. they release a patch after that particular unit had been shipped.
