1241  Other / Off-topic / Re: SMOOTHIE HEALTH & FITNESS WORKOUT JOURNAL on: July 05, 2016, 08:12:34 AM
@smoothie, I noticed your earlier pics or vids do have free weights. Bodyweight works, but there's still something about anything weighted. There's strongman type stuff, or dinosaur style. 5 gallon water containers. Slosh pipes. Sand bags. Back packs for weighted push ups. Rope climbing. Running up the escalator the wrong way (LOL, make sure no one else is there.)

Free weights are still most bang for your buck, especially if you get them used or free. I just bought myself a brand new bar.

Can't lift it yet though. It's bigger than me. (no, wait, that's my son. hehe.)

This is a cute picture!

How old is your son? If you don't mind sharing.

Recently hit a low of 208lbs.

Down from roughly 265lbs.

Do the math...it's life changing being healthy and fit physically and mentally.

People are too stupid to drive...yet they are allowed to be on the roads.

I've never seen so many stupid drivers in my adult life of driving and since I started driving in my teens.

1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 200: Cormier vs. Jones 2 on: July 05, 2016, 04:26:29 AM

Cormier almost won during their first fight but i don't think he still have that chance this time. Jones have already prepared much now and probably had been watching his lasts fights for his game plan.  but who knows everything can happen inside the ring Smiley perfect example is weidman vs silva Smiley

Daniel Cormier is a tough guy, and he can win this fight, but I don't see anything that makes me think Jones can't run through him again. But Jones is just the better fighter. He's bigger, faster, stronger, and younger.

jones also have long reach advantage.

I totally disagree. Cormier lost unanimously. It was pretty clear Jon got the best of him in that fight. Even Daniel admits this.

LOLOLOL XMR GOT OWNED - REVERSE TROLLED.....

Sucks to be the guy that gave TheDashGuy a few hundred $$$ for thinking he defected hahahahahahaha - how does it feel to get a taste of your own medicine!

So you condone such behavior by one of your own supporters?

wow
Not normally. Read the op and my post. A taste of your own medicine.

A taste of my own medicine?

What are you talking about?

So are you going to answer the question directly or continue to deflect away from condoning such behavior?

Well do you condone the monero community toxic trolling strategies all day long look at ice breaker etc. Dash just gave the Xmr community a taste of what it feels like in reverse. I do not normally condone these activities but in this instance it's well warranted. Maybe the Xmr community will gain a sense on humility and understand that we are all in this together rather than the sick trolling campaigns that are ongoing.

I guess by your own inability to answer that speaks to your intensions and mindset.

@TheDashGuy,

Your actions are just noise and will ultimately make no difference in the end.

I look forward to Dash's peer-reviewed white papers that contain no mathematics.
And I look forward to Monero's leaders standing up and publicly denouncing the wretched behaviour of their band of trolls that serve to make all of crypto look bad, not to mention hold Monero back. Alas, that will never happen either.

We need to end this. I'm definitely not the only one who feels this way. I hope you are in agreement on that point.

I will absolutely not denounce anyone. They are intelligent individuals who are welcome to say whatever they want. If I am to denounce them because they are critical of some other project, where does that end? What if some community members decide they don't like sushi, which I love - should I denounce them too? What if they have different moral beliefs, or religious beliefs, or they don't love dogs as much as I do?

Your call for "Monero's leaders" (such as they exist) to denounce members of the community for this is a disgusting attack on free speech.
It's kinda not free speech when you pay them to troll others.
Nice try though.

It's also not fact when you have no proof of your claims.

Wow the irony

1250  Economy / Services / Re: Design a physical Bitcoin - (CONTEST IS CLOSED) on: July 04, 2016, 11:40:29 PM
Hello all,

I am still catching some flak for being late on paying out this bounty. Even though I paid out more BTC than I said I would, and paid the losers of the competition even though I didn't have to. At today's market price, I paid out over $5696 US dollars for a graphic design (this contest)...

I apologize for taking so long to pay the bounty, but I feel like I have made good on my obligations, and do not think any actual participants of this contest still feel wronged.

I urge any PARTICIPANTS of this competition to come forward if you still feel like you have been wronged, and I will do my best to make good by you whenever and however I am able.

Thanks and take care,

William

Should we compare dog turds vs cat turds?

This is basically what is being done here.

No offense.  Smiley
So in your view BTCD and DASH equal to turds?

That's just one analogy.

Both have huge issues.

1253  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: CoinJoin: Bitcoin privacy for the real world on: July 04, 2016, 08:53:00 AM
Couldn't you just use poloniex to get monero bought with BTC, then send it to yourself with a mixin of 5 or 100 or whatever you choose, then convert it with XMR.to back to BTC?
That's centralized and you lose control of your coins even if temporarily. Coin Join allows for mixing without ever giving out your coins or control of them.

Any exchange or gambling site or online wallet will do what you suggest. You just have to trust them to be online long enough for you to withdraw, and/or not get hacked, shutdown, or whatever.

I've actually seen a few people deposit to my site, wait a few days (when I "join" all deposits to the cold wallet), then withdraw, without ever playing. Works the same way. But now their coins are "tainted", so don't go try going to coinbase directly from any gambling site. Our wallets are all tagged.

I'm speaking in terms of privacy. What's to stop someone from being all the "other people" in coin join transaction?

Essentially being Sybil attacked in terms of traceability.

The topic was privacy Not security.

The issue you bring up comes back to, how did you acquire the bitcoins you want to "wash" in the first place if you didn't mine them?

Pretty sure there was a "not being in control" aspect to the acquisition of the Bitcoin you are trying to use in a coin join Transaction. Kind of goes against what you just said in terms of centralization and security of your coins.

Concerning your comment about your bitcoins being tagged.
That cannot easily be done in monero due to its protocol based fungibility via ring signatures.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: July 04, 2016, 07:33:59 AM
You should make a cold storage paper wallet.  But don't risk loss of the private key.  You should give a copy of the private key to a trusted third party escrow agent so if you lose your paper, you can get the coins back.  I can be your escrow agent if you like.  I know a lot about bitcoins.  Send me the private key in a PM.

A prime example of why this user ^ shouldn't be taken seriously.

Wow, lol "send your private key to me in a pm"

One thing to consider with your auction is if sniping is allowed or not.

I know what sniping is, but what would be the technical way to distinguish sniping?
How to allow or disallow?

Allowing it is setting a hard date and time.

Disallowing it would to either:

1) allow for time increments between bids near the end of the auction and after that time increment has expire with no new bids the auction would end.

2) another option is to say "the auction will end at or around x day"

This way you can end the auction randomly at a moment's notice.  This way people are forced to put in their highest bid and there isn't a rush of bids at the last minute.

It's all dependent upon your approach.
