1241  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 09, 2023, 09:22:47 AM
The problem with lending is this....

If there are a sudden spike in the price and you have borrowed your tokens to someone else, then those coins are inaccessible to you, until the loan are repaid.

Now, on the other hand.... if you hodl your coins, then it is accessible at all times and you can capitalize on all the short-term spikes that might happen on the way to the next ATH.  Cool

What if the lending happens in a bear market where the market crash like it wouln't recover again, I think any bitcoin that is borrow in this periof will only favour the borrower, because when they borrow btc and sell for USDT, they will do whatever they have with the bitcoin and when it is time to pay and price of Bitcoin prices crashes, the borrower only need small usdt nto pay back because he will the price crash as advantage to buy Bitcoin price at lower price and if the borrowers are clever trader, they can borrow when the price is low, sell when the price is high and buy back when it is low again to pay back, they will earn more USDT with this strategy.
1242  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: June 09, 2023, 08:40:05 AM
With the current issue in the crypto world between Cz (Changpeng Zhao) Ceo of binance and the Sec, I support Cz with reasons that binance has done alot to earn it's communities trust, helping millions of users in the crypto ecosystem, and has more durable marketing strategy whereas the Sec is government driven and wants to control everybody.
It's unfair that the sec is suppressing a private cooperation that's helping to grow & build the crypto world, binance is helping everybody including crypto whales and newbies and a fight against binance is against the world.
What's your say on this?

I want crypto market to win, CZ might be fighting for crypto but I think they are fighting for the company reputation, CZ and Binance.US must have one way or the other did something that violated SEC rules and regulation but looking it more on Gary Gensler side, his statement yesterday seems like its now a personal fight between him and CZ because the Lawyer representing Binance said in 2019, there is a report that Gary Gensler applied to be Binance Advisor and was rejected and after he became the Chairman in SEC, he is abusing the power to take down Binance by all means, the statement annoyed him yesterday that he call crypto a scam scheme, this fight is personal, I am only concern about how the market is hurt by there statements.
1243  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is never enough! on: June 09, 2023, 08:24:22 AM
Think of when you hit a jackpot, and some cool cash slide into your pocket, you feels better and step up some pride and involved arrogance, you feel like you can buy the world with your peanuts lol, bro, I little shopping out of it can makes you look like a poor man again. There is this oil dealer guy in my community who happen to be hot market pro in the oil industry, he owns an oil well but this guy it gets to his head and start contesting for political power which he has lose twice now and the worst of it now is that the oil well is dried because suck the money into politics, loss everything. This money is never really enough, no wonder even the President of nations still fights to get money after office.

The dealer guy in your community lacks management and he is a cheerful givers that doesn't think about tomorrow, I beleive any sensible person that doesn't have money before will know better on how to spend when they hit money they have never touch before in their life time. Your dealer guy failed to planned tomorrow and hence the reason why he is broke even when he had money to escape brokeness.

Money is easy to maintain if you have a good adviser or friends, the real ones will never tell you to spend and languish everything as soon as you hit the jackpot, only the unserious ones will want you to live an expensive life you cannot continue later in the future, though its a good thing to have fun with people in your free time but it doesn't mean you should go out to impress people, if that money finish, you will go back to square one without any backup.

1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 08, 2023, 09:30:24 PM
gambling is never a steady income, although there may be people living through gambling(which are called "professional gamblers") people should realize that those people are most likely just a small percentage of the people who gambles worldwide.

Even the so called professional gamblers are rich people who gamble what they can afford to lose. They do take a lot of losses but because they have deep pockets it doesn't show, plus, when they win, the win covers most of their loses because it's usually a high amount. There is no way you can see gambling as a steady source of income and not lose massively. It might even wreck you so bad you'd be deep in debt. Gambling is like alcohol. Drink, but drink responsibly. Gamble responsibly.

One good thing about this professional gamblers is that they are not greedy type of gambler, when they bet, it will be in an amount that will be huge with small odd like 2.5, they can used that probability event to turn millions into millions and there games are always selective, they also don't gamble on matches that are demanding and popular like final matches, they pick there matches in leagues that are not too serious and not too lazy, this is how they make their millions. However, if it were to be an average gambler that want to bet, he will go over 100s of odds to play a thousand to win millions, they are usually blind by greed to see prosperity.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: June 08, 2023, 08:20:38 PM
The main issue is that gamblers do not admit that they are addicted to the gambling and this is the main cause or reason that they are unable to quit gambling because they do not consider themselves addicted. When you are not willing to accept that you are unfit, how will you take steps to make you fit?
This is exactly true with gambling addicts. They think they are just gambling normally and hence they will never take steps that will make them gamble less or take a break from gambling. They keep losing money and think it is only because of bad luck and still not willing to accept that they are addicted to gambling.
Another reason why they do not improve is that even if they recognize they are addicted to gambling, they also understand the road to their recovery will be very hard, so when given the choice between keeping their addiction going on or to stop, they prefer to keep it going as it is easier, besides when they think of all the people they have offended or let down they are afraid that when they finally take the decision to stop there will be no one there to help them, a real possibility if they have been addicted for a very long time.

Gambling addiction is a psychological battle where people can become hooked without even realizing it until someone points it out, it's akin to thinking you're doing the right thing when, in fact, you're at fault. So many people fall into this trap, oblivious to their addiction, only a handful of ones recognize their mistake or acknowledge their gambling addiction and when they fail to address it early on and deny its existence, it becomes increasingly challenging to overcome.

I believe that doing too much of anything is bad in life, gambling should be scheduled and rules should be followed so that as a player, temptations do not cause you to play games you are not supposed to play, or wager amounts you are supposed to use for upkeep; there are some players who will use their dinner money to gamble and sleep on an empty stomach; this is the level of addiction that gambling can cause some players, and it is very bad.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 08, 2023, 07:59:30 PM
I'm so sorry to hear that. We always say, have to be responsible with our own money. We should not bet with someone else's money at all. Even with debt. But as a failed amateur bettor, I know this myself as betting draws people into bigger holes with its hidden hopes on top of the damage . Thats whats make you gave up or makes you end up the situation you don't wanna be in it rather being not alive anymore. So sad. We should live responsibly and bet responsibly. Talk to someone when somethings wrong. Rip

I am not sure what the boy intentions were but I believe this was not his first time, an amateur bettor wouldn't take his school plus that of his friend to go gamble if he is not experience, for him to make that bold step and use his school fees means he has been betting before but what went wrong is what they need to investigate, either the friends or someone closed to him must know what he is dealing with if suicide have been on his mind, he cannot wake up one day and decide to take his life for something he knows that the parent can make up for him, the parent can't kill him for such mistake.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 08, 2023, 07:26:15 PM
Basically the Champions League final is a big dream for European teams and thus, any team that can reach the Champions League final is of course the best team this season. Therefore, these two teams should have the same quality but unfortunately, because Manchester City this season has a big chance to win the treble winner. So of course, Manchester City will maximize the great potential that each player has and if that is successful, then of course Manchester City also has a great chance to win the Champions League title this season.

over the last 10 decade, Manchester City has dominated the Premier League, securing a remarkable 7 titles since 2012 and they have achieved great success domestically under the management of Guardiola, but they have yet to conquer the desired Champions League title, considering their outstanding performance and accomplishments this season, it is reasonable to believe that they deserve the forthcoming victory that awaits them in just two days.

However, looking at Inter side, just because Serie A does not enjoy the same level of popularity as the Premier League, it would be unfair to undermine their abilities, they have has also has performed admirably to some extent, just that they simply do not possess the necessary qualities to match the prowess of Manchester City, they will surely lose this match.  Cool
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 08, 2023, 06:41:03 PM
Yeah, i just feel so disappointed with his decision. He was picking the worst club in MLS. I don't even expect with the come of messi in intermiami will be able to change everything. Intermiami is now placing at the bottom of MLS.
It's a bit make sense if he was moving to the nashvilla or cincinnati but intermiami. What the heck was wrong with him. Im feeling curious what's his main motivation to pick it.

I can imagine that Lionel Messi couldn't care less if he joined a top club from the MLS or a club that is usually at the bottom of the table, because everyone knows that the only reason why he is going to the US now is that he can earn an ridiculous high amount of money now even in comparison to his salary so far. I am pretty sure that Messi does not care if Inter Miami can fight for the title or not because for him that MLS title means nothing anyway because he has won all the really important trophies in the world of football already like the Champions League and also the world cup. He is there to make some huge bank and that's it. I am not a friend of such transfers, but it is what it is.

Messi is smart, ignoring Europe and Saudi Arabia money bag would worth it more in the future, what some people don't understand is the future benefits Messi will Get from Inter Miami, having a stake in a little club he will revive with his hands is something any courageous player will do, either in relegation or not, there is an assurance that Messi will get them out of the Relegarion and go further among his other teams.

One of the co-owner of Inter Miami is David Beckham and he left PSG to become one of the owner of the Inter Miami, Messi is following the same path and have gotten a stake in the club with some other benefits, I'm very confident that his presence and good midfilders supports will revive that club and the success of that club will become his own success, the world will know for sure the existence of Inter Miami as similar to how Ronaldo help Al-Nasir to get fame in other part of the world.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 07, 2023, 09:42:48 PM
Inter Milan aren't really an attacking team, of course they have their own way of approaching games and getting goals, but they are not the kind of team that holds possession and attacks constantly, they do not have the necessary quality in their squad to do that. Having said that, there's no doubt that Inter would park the bus against City, even most of the best clubs in the world would do that, when you come up against City you have to respect them and accept the fact that they would control most aspects of the game, Inter have to do one thing, defend and wait to hurt City on the counter.
I agree with you Inter Milan may not be well know for a team that like parking bus but playing against one of the best and most informed team in the world right now which is Manchester City, they will do nothing but reduce in attack and focus more on the defense else they will have themselves to blame because City will run them down. I think Manchester City will have total control of the midfield, possession and ball control but Inter Milan will capitalize on getting a goal through a counter attack then park the bus because City will focus on attack so if they fail to defend after launching an attack that will be a good opportunity for Inter Milan to penetrate them a score.

Manchester City forward has been the main focus of teams they have met from Quater final and Semi Final and I tell you what, other clubs are more focus on their center forward, I hope other teams will not do the same, they should focus on the mistakes they made and improve on their match, perhaps this time they will get Manchester City this one time and win the Champions League, I feel they need more need to study that because that was what Bayern Munich did and the same with Real Madrid, but they always find their way out of the loop and score goal, Haaland shouldn't be their only problem, maybe if they spray across every player, it will work this time.

There is another strategy apart from that, Manchester City becomes dominant of the field as soon as they score, I think if Inter were to able to have a starting goal to lead Manchester City, maybe it will help them stay ahead of Manchester City throughout the match.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 07, 2023, 07:36:37 PM
I saw this online and thought maybe i should bring on to bitcointalk for discussion.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?

The concept of feeling remorseful after a bet can vary depending on the individual and their specific circumstances. Personally, I would experience remorse if a single event caused my bet to fail while the others were successful. For example, if out of 10 bets, 9 of them turned out as predicted and the one I thought would be the easiest to win did not go as planned, it would leave me with a sense of regret but I don't think the amount of money wagered should not be a part of this discussion because every gambler understand that the fundamental principle of gambling is to only bet an amount of money that you are comfortable losing, to eliminate future regrets, managing risk and being responsible with one's finances are the basic rules every serious gambler should know.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 07, 2023, 04:17:51 PM
It is just money that rules football now. Anything that you everly thought will not happen in football is happening now. You can see how every super star wants to go Saudi because of money. It was actually money that took Ronaldo to Saudi and today Messi wants to join him there because of money and I bet you that Kylian Mbappe may remain at PSG throughout his career if the Paris side are willing to be paying him outrageously.
On the worse scenario, you can still see Mbappe going to Saudi at his young age if the money is overly much offered to him. Nothing surprises me anymore when money is involved.

There are still footballers who uphold their dignity and maintain their reputation. Reflecting on the past, there was a time when China was actively recruiting European players, which garnered huge attention in the media. However, the current status of those players' careers appeared to be stagnant, as they no longer receive the same level of attention they once did while playing in Europe. Some of them even regret their decision to move to China, as the level of public interest and recognition in that region is comparatively lower than in Europe.
It seems that Saudi Arabia has aspirations of building a football empire similar to that of Europe. However, establishing a football empire requires more than just financial resources. It also necessitates a robust football culture, infrastructure, and the ability to attract top talent and retain public interest, Saudi Arabia may strive to achieve this, time will tell whether they can successfully replicate the football success and fan fervor seen in Europe.

The possibility of Messi moving to Al-Hilal is still uncertain, the latest updates from Romano indicate that there haven't been significant changes in the bid or negotiations. and it seems unlikely that Messi has a strong inclination to join the Saudi Arabian league, as it may give the impression that he is motivated solely by money or a desire to compete with Ronaldo. It would be prudent for him to wait and assess any potential offers or developments from Barcelona before making a decision.
1253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your favorite season to trade cryptocurrency? on: June 04, 2023, 09:30:14 PM
Cryptocurrency is risky, and while we are aware of the basic requirements that must be in place in order to profit significantly, not all of us are aware of an appropriate season to trade. Most professional traders prefer the bear season, which, in my opinion, is the best period to conduct critical study on crypto projects, uncover ethical road maps, and invest in them for a possible solid future. The bull season is most likely harvest time; we reap what we sow in the market. Which season is better for trading, the bull or the bear?

An experienced trader will tell you that there is a lot of money to be made in the market, whether it is in a bull or bear market; it is how experienced you are that determines how much money you will make in the market. As an average trader, I will buy and hold coins during this period because it is very easy to understand the market by holding coins now and trading during the bull market, times like this are difficult to make money in spot trading unless you want to add futures and margin into your trading strategy, which I would not advise because they are very risky.
1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Know the Next PEPE on: June 04, 2023, 08:36:24 PM
In 2021 i wrote an article on medium and created a YT tutorial on how to spot a memecoin project that will become something.
From that teaching, here are the two key factors to look out for.

Therefore in researching the next memecoin project to degen in, these factors should be your priority.

What other factors do you think influence memecoin projects?

I will tell you to be careful of meme coins.

Have you check the history of last meme coins, they are down badly and nobody knows exactly when they will break all time high again because the hype is no longer there again, the investors that made money already left and the people that are left are only there because they are waiting for the next pump that will come so they can get out from the cage the previous investors left them in; meme coin is just a place where investors are trying to outsmart each other, there is nothing much happening in them, just pure hype without any good thing to show the world, look at Pepe and how it has crash from the vert first day Binance listed it on the exchange, stay safe my friend.
1255  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: June 04, 2023, 08:19:53 PM
most people who already have a lot of money or more than enough can buy pleasure, on the other hand money can change human nature that lacks human norms or bad relationships. because this trait is like a ruler where everything becomes easy life doesn't want to be complicated because money is always there. it's just that money can't buy a long life or lasting pleasure

Every human that has bloos running through their vain has this inner character and they don't show until money comes in, that is when people display their character and show what they are made up of but however, there are some individuals that don't show bad side of them when they have money, especially when they are brought up with a silver spoon, nothing freak them, they just leave a normal life. Though that don't stop them from doing anything that will bring more money to them, nobody want to live where they are and comes down to where is not comfortable for them, money still remain the factor.
1256  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: June 04, 2023, 07:51:43 PM
Everyone really wants to be rich, of course it's true that no one wants to be poor, but the connotation of being rich can of course be different for each individual. keeping up with developments by buying needs that match current trends is of course fine, but if you go overboard with the aim of being able to show off it is something that is not exemplary even though you can do it and it is legal for those who can do it.
but I agree that instead of buying things with the aim of showing off, of course it's better to spend on crypto as well as make an investment. once again everyone's thinking power will be different, some really like the trend of showing off because there is satisfaction in itself.

There are two type of Rich individuals, the ones that are super Rich, they can spend much money on what they want and need, and will still maintain there wealthy life and there are Rich individuals that are Rich but are not concerned by luxurious life, they only spend on what they need but what the poor people don't understand is that, they are always ready to spend their last savings on what they don't need, they will do anything to be out of their comfort zone just because they want to belong and show their peers that they have the money to afford a life style that is difficult for them to maintain.
1257  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake support? on: June 04, 2023, 07:39:46 PM
well, as usual, they are very good at manipulative economy, so it's only natural that China occupies the position of the No. 2 strongest economy in the world, even a little more than almost beating America. but if they china reopen the legality about crypto project i think crypto will be greener than now because this big country economically will have big impact for crypto trend in the future if that happens.

A country that is rule by arms of government and largely populated will hardly settle for crypto because they know for real that they have influence in the market, if today they announce that they have legalized crypto, many people will be trigger to join the party even the people who have little knowledge about it will want to join and the government will harm its people by this action.

What I think is that, even if they allow a room for crypto adoption, they will want to regulate it to protect the people and the investors because looking at Defi and Cefi, none of them are safe for investors, only few exchanges that has reputation and some long term defi has proven to be worthy of this trust, and if this happen, they will not be too different from the US because we don't need regulation in crypto.
1258  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for newbies on: June 03, 2023, 07:23:52 PM
Know the Market learn the Market and it's very important to know it's financial and big instutions playground.
U got to know their rules of game.
I know the rules of game and i make all the moves according how the big guys and big funds moving.
Follow the rules of funds and wall Street sec and Fed and you Are good here.

You are a equally a newbie as well, so I believe you also need this advice, and your post doesn't seem to be conveying a message; it lacks proper detailed information because it sounds like you are speaking with an experienced trader. It should have been well explained and broken down as if you were demonstrating to novices how to understand the fundamentals of trading, rather than something like Wall Street and the Fed without further explanation.

There are basic rule for every trader, and that is what I think any newbie needs, not this big thing you are calling, is that they can start from there, and when the time comes, as they spend more time in the trading space, they will understand the game better, how to win with the big traders, and likewise, Wall Street's effects on the market.
1259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A opinion on regrets on: June 03, 2023, 06:57:12 PM
We regret about missing Bitcoin, then about XRP then about Ethereum then Doge then Shiba then Pepe (these are some top of my head and from what I've come across in my crypto term).

Point being there are always new opportunities and dwelling on regrets is futile.

I have seen a similar discussion in another board but since this one is in trading discussion, I will cheap in my small opinion also. Throughout 2021, I closely monitored the market, and now I regret not purchasing promising projects like Solana, it frustrated me to witness how undervalued Solana was, yet I failed to take advantage of it. However, when FTX manipulated the price and caused a huge increase, some people profited while some also suffered losses. This experience made me realize the importance of patience in this market. There are always opportunities available, and if you carefully examine market, you can use them at any time.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Keep Buying Bitcoin Alone if I Have Limited Resources? on: June 03, 2023, 06:19:13 PM
snip

There is opportunity in every projects and altcoins, they depends on how you use it and when you use it, it is no longer new that Bitcoin is the king of all, people with big resources prefer to put their money in BTC but I will also tell you that there are some people that had the opportunity to earn the same profit bigger investors earned with less capital in altcoins, this is the power of altcoins because when they want to grow, the hype and market cap gives room for wider growth and everyone always have interest especially when there is fomo in the market, do the research that is necessary and buy with money you can afford to lose, you will make moeny from altcoins in the bull run.
