321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Viewpoint of a fan gambling on: February 01, 2024, 09:43:38 PM
I am talking about the boxing match between former champion and big star Anthony Joshua and mma star Francis Nganou. However, I remember not long ago I refused to place a wager on Real Madrid because I desired Girona to win La Liga. In addition, wagering against the Los Angeles Lakers when matched with the best NBA teams is difficult for me.

I want to find out if there are individuals like me. What percentage of the gamblers in Bitcointalk are wagering and not wagering to their dearest star player, club and team?

If my team is incompetents in any game, I will never wager my money on them. I'm loyal to them by love but not to be foolish in making decisions that will bring in money for me while they do their rubbish. Just imagine Arsenal current form are having match with current form of Liverpool, and then I decide to stake huge amount of money on Arsenal to win. That's gambling suicide because I know that Liverpool are going to give them brutality of their lives. Now, knowing these as a fan big fan and then I still went ahead take Arsenal as win.

When you want to wager money on any games, live emotion aside, forget what they are going to do to your favorite, you are not after the statistics this time but your target is to see your prediction comes true. Let's even say your favorite win and you predicted them to lose, you will have something to rejoice over even after you have loss your bets, its better than having nothing at all.
322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: January 29, 2024, 05:19:39 PM
I see a lot of traders who fail in this field, because they do not have patience and consistency in learning, that they are successful traders who study for more than a year or even two years so that they can have the ability to analyze the market and can have their own methods in making profits from trading.

Some people failed not because they lack patience, don't generalize everything with your opinion when you know that there are lots of factors that can make a trader not live up to there expectations. Some people don't really know what trading is about until they start it and one thing some of them don't understand is trading is but not as simple as we discussed it.

Quote
Many who have just learned one month to one semester they give up and no longer want to trade, please note that naturally fruitful trees are trees that grow with a long period of time so that they can bear heavy fruit and can provide benefits for both the owner or others.

Don't give up quickly in trading, there are many mistakes that you have to take lessons from, walk slowly and with principles in trading with risk management that you can control and not overdo it so that you can take advantage for yourself.

Just like I said, trading is like any other things that need your time, attention, your experience but time is the most required and lots of people don't have to give. Do you know that if you are addicted to trading, you might start having challenges of going outside frequently? You will like become an introverted person even if you afr not before and not everyone can give this for trading and hence the reason for reaching the aims and objectives.

Other things you listed are secondary, what I mentioned are primary.

Quote
Focus, be consistent, learn from your mistakes and think that building an empire takes time.

What are your additions to understanding the learning time for someone who is learning to trade? I think sharing here will benefit those who may be close to giving up in this field.

One thing about trading is that if you are not ready for it, even if you force it and you are not ready, it is going to yield nothing.
You need yourself to be ready. Learn things that you need to learn, get fund and utilize that basic to try your skills, you will improve with time if you continue like that because only by experience you can understand what trading is about and not by reading this, watching YouTube videos and Udemy videos, that's wouldn't help you so fast.
323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No one has gone broke taking profits, always take profits. on: January 29, 2024, 04:58:59 PM
I started learning how to trade and my teacher just told me this advice that no one has gone broke taking profits when trading. I have always wanted to earn Bitcoin but I have been confused how to start then decided that I'll learn how to trade. I have been reading through the forum and I see lots of advice about holding and it's looking like if you sell you're not doing the correct thing. The first advice I have received is that I should always take profits. My teacher said the profits you take is better than all imagining profits you'll think that you can get in the future if you keep holding. He didn't say holding is bad but I got advice not to neglect the profits that I can take. I got this advice and I want to share it with everyone, always take profits.

Determinations are different I must say, if you open a Bitcoin position at a particular price and you want to take profits, where I want to take mine might be entirely different from where you might want to take yours, so it's all about profits determinant because I don't think there is any trader that will trade and watch his profits hits his target and allowed it retrace back without selling. Let's say the trader wasn't aware when the price reach his target and when he check he found out that the price was below there, he is going to sell and take profits unless he is a greed type of person or inexperienced trader.

However, to avoid problems of not getting exact target, you can build a Trailing profits on your trades by setting up a point where you will like to take profits. Like for example, you bought a coin at $3 dollar, you can set your Trailing profits around $5, $7 and so on depend on if the coin already has a support and resistance formed in the previous candles or how far you think the coin will reach and the allocation will be in percentages. This options is not available in all centralized exchanges but top exchange like Binance has this and you can explore it if you are a good trader.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the possibility of discovering a memecoin that could change your life? on: January 28, 2024, 07:36:45 PM
Honestly, I did make some money trading those, but not the life-changing fortune I aspire to. So, I'm still on the lookout for that meme opportunity that could turn my vacation dream into reality! 😄 Recently, there's been a buzz around $Troll and $Smiley, and I thought of throwing the question here.

The momentum appears robust, with indirect support from Elon Musk for $Troll, while $Smiley boasts a large and supportive community. I'm pondering if it could pull off another Doge. Any meme experts here? What's your perspective on this?

I remember reading some ICO overviews, some mistakes and how it blew up then. Your post made me remember criterias investors look before they invest in coins are the kind of products they offer, the real use case of the coin, how the team want to see the coin in some years and also other stuffs like decentralization, some were even using masternodes back then and how coins are stakes for security before they invest but now, it's all about where to plug money from one project to another harming each other in the name of memes coins.

A day will come that we will have nothing innovative about altcoins other than lying for each other to buy and the get dump on another people and if this nonsense continues, we will not see new investors or get anything to convinced them because it will be obvious that's crypto or altcoins are upgraded scams that developers are hiding under to mik people without reasonable thing to show. Just pump and candle green in days to bring people with hype and then reversed candle to sell everything. Didn't you even see the trend compare to 2021, it's fading away with time.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chances for a Litecoin (LTC) ETF? on: January 28, 2024, 07:20:37 PM
I doubt LTC will be accepted by ETF after BTC and ETH, simply because there are so many other altcoins, if there are other coins that will be voted on by the SEC, I predict Solana will be next, there is no particular reason but Solana has demand higher.

You think those are the criteria US SEC used to consider an ETF to be accepted? You need to understand that once a coin is consifer as a security by Security exchange commission, you are in big battle to with them because you are about to lose money to the government because of the sue that will follow after. Any coin that is term as security always have issues of breaking the SEC law and you want to categorized Solana because of demand? No, Litecoin will get that approval before Solana get one.

You didn't even consider what has happened to Solana with FTX and pending case of security that they have been avoiding. What about the $1.16B of Solana they have to liquidate to get back the exchange running and to say that this worth was around September last year. The coin has pumped massively due to their underground things and you think Solana will get such a quick approval? I don't think so because if it took Bitcoin 10 years since the first time of fillings to 2024, Solana application might just get it's way into the junk yard.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump sells $2.4 million worth of ETH on: January 28, 2024, 07:04:44 PM
Presidential candidate and the most popular leader of the United States, Donald Trump is unsurprisingly not a huge fan of crypto but it's found that he has been profiting from the crypto riches.
The Ethereum came from a NFT on Trump theme. Though trump was not associated with the project, he got royalties from it in the form of Ethereum. The project is licensed from the Trump's company to use Trumps name and features. The royalties were over 1075 which the trump team recently sold for $2.4 million.
The use of crypto by presidential candidate is a sign of easing up with crypto and we could further see candidates accepting donations via crypto.

https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/01/36743035/donald-trump-sold-2-4-million-ethereum-smart-move-or-big-mistake

This Trump thing will only exhausted the energy you have in you. You need to understand what is happening behind the scenes. Trump might actually knows about this NFTs and Ethereum thing but I hope you know that this activities are not carried by Trump himself, it is govern by some of his campaign group and some people who are using all these to do campaign things, you don't expect a whole person like Trump to be doing all these activities of NFTs and others.

You need to also understand that election is fast approaching, his party needs money for campaigns and election proceedings. All these sell offs has a purpose and it is going to be channel into that election to make sure that man wins because you see that battle between democracy and republican, it's not a fight that will end very soon as Trump don't want to lose this time and Biden will like to continue.

These two men shouldn't be an option but seem Americans love the only two parties the most while the rest are just there to fill spaces and waste resources over nothing. After this election, watch how they will abandoned this NFTs things on people and focus on their government if they later win that election. I heard same thing from Biden campaign back in his last election but change immediately he got to office.
327  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto: a place where everyone makes money, but few secure it on: January 28, 2024, 06:55:23 PM
I was reading coinconfessions, and it occurred to to me that most of those who are in crypto go through a phase where they make lots of money, but eventually lose it all or most of it due to wrong decisions taken due to having lack of financial knowledge.

Some start fresh with lessons learned and make it back, for some having huge unexpected money come and gone creates a downward spiral that they feel hard to get out of, almost like they were better off not having this unexpected wealth come in first place.

You see the way we have poor people and rich people, use that scenario to describe this your thread and you will understand better. Some people fell in the wrong side of history due to war, slavery and unfair nature, that's why they are where they are but some manage to make it to the good side, crypto security of some people is the same thing as fallen to the wrong group of orientation.

You are in these forum, you are a lucky champ. Trust me, there thousands of people that are into crypto that doesn't know the existence of this forum to have adequate information and the ones they get don't tell them these. What they teach them is registered in this centralized exchanges, do this and that, set up your kyc and then buy from p2p and you are good to go. These is why many of them don't understand anything and even cry bucket of tears when there investment in meme coins crashes over and over.

Don't worry, if you value your investment, money and time then they will do the proper things, they will learn it hard way or soft ways because to can't change people or tell them everything.
328  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: January 28, 2024, 06:44:34 PM
All young people, understand that time an money are linked. It is not the same to invest early than late, it is not the same  to invest more early that try to invest more later. 100 is worth 100 today, but 800 in 20 years if you play it safe but well. Make no mistake, you will need to start creating your wealth.

If there is a way I can turn down the hands of time back to when I was young or not to this level I was, I will gladly accept and if I have the opportunity to go back in time, I will beg to be back to 2009 where I can see bitcoin been traded at lowest price then but all these are fantasies I love so much but they are not coming back again, this is sad but that's the truth and the more reason why we should never joke with time particularly when things are rossy for you.

Invest when you are young if you have the means to and if you are poor, double your husle to get out of that financial status, anyway you want to define it, the the world only recognize people that have money and not people that has nothing. So you have the option to invest if you are young if you are born with a silver spoon or try and legitimately hustle and get money if you are poor and stop chasing ladies here and there. I'm not sure is there is any man that has been awarded for having the best chock in the world, we have many of them everywhere including the ones that will like you for who you are and not till you break a bank.

The world is even revolving rapidly, things are now like air in the sense that if you are into a work that deal with trend and you don't quickly rebrand and upgrade yourself as the world is going, you might even loose out on what you are doing. Yesterday, Nokia and Blackberry were everything the world ever wanted but where are they today? Other people has took over and has use their lesson as motivation, things are changing that if you think tomorrow is assured for you, you maybe lying to yourself.
329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies how do you feel when your post is criticised. on: January 27, 2024, 07:53:14 PM
In a forum like this where so many intellects are contributing to a particular discussion there is always a room for criticism and the ability for you as newbie to absorb it as a learning process makes you unique and smart . For me Criticism is a process of learning because when ever I am been criticised I usually seize the opportunity to add more knowledge because I often see it as a corrective measures to widen my horizon .
Given that it's a forum and everyone has the right to voice their opinions on any subject under debate, there is room for criticism.
Almost all of the members of this forum have received criticism in one form or another, whether it be constructive or detrimental. High ranking users have also experienced criticism because this is a forum where everyone is subject to criticism.

Both positive and negative criticism is crucial to learning; the first will boost your happiness while the opposite should push you further because nobody is an expert, so the main purpose of negative criticism is to motivate us to study more and build our self-confidence.
330  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are newbies afraid to comment on threads of highly ranked members? on: January 27, 2024, 07:42:30 PM
I want to give my opinion on some threads when I read threads of senior, legendary, or ranked , but being a newbie, I am afraid to join discussions with seniors, (legendary) members. The scary thing is (though it may be completely wrong to think), I think, can tell me, how a newbie engages in discussions with seniors, wants to give advice, what I know and how little I know. Also, I have a small number of threads that have no merit (that's my main fear). I even stopped commenting on some posts, thinking I might be wrong in my knowledge, even though I was right.
Note that, your opinion has nothing to do with your forum rank. You as a newbie can enguage in any discussion going on if you have valuable contribution to add that's the reason the place is called forum, everyone is subjected to their opinion and newbies are also not exempted because there are newbies that have good knowledge that they will be willing to share with others, if the forum put rank requirments before posting, we cannot learn fast because newbies also ask questions and needed to be replied.

This forum is welcoming everyone; we all started as newbies including the high reputable members which are the legendary guys and other higher ranks, if there was a restriction for newbies to post or express their selves, no one will grow in this forum, take any fear aside and learn.
331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Know why the exchange wallet are not safe on: January 27, 2024, 07:33:00 PM
1. protecting our seed phrase: We can start protecting our coins the first day we protect our seed phrase. It is very important to do this, because with this seed phrase, we can no longer access our Bitcoin when we don't have any means to log in to our Bitcoin wallet.
Not just protecting your seed phrase to know how to use it when you want, also know that it is important to make sure no one have access to it. You can be hiding your seed phrase where someone will see, they might not steal it but it can be copied and that's all. Therefore, make sure you are the only that have access to your seed phrase by hiding them in a secrete place where only you will have access to.

Quote
2. Do  not keep bitcoin in an exchange wallet: This is also important to be aware of. A lot of people only think that after protecting their seed phrases, their coins are secured.
Exchange wallets don't have seed phrase, your bitcoin will be in the exchange total control if you keep them in the exchange. Take exchanges as a market places where you will only buy and sell, keeping your bitcoin with them is very risky because you have no control of them.

Quote
However, if you do so, it can be secured when you store it in a safe wallet like an electrum. A Bitcoiner might think that he can not get scammed if he did not click on suspicious links on social media, but that's not all. One thing is to keep your bitcoins in a good wallet and protect them. What if you keep your coins in an exchange wallet and you try to protect your coins and then the exchange collapses? There will be no way to get back your bitcoins. That's why I have said earlier that storing Bitcoin in a secured wallet and protecting your seed phrases are some good ways to protect your Bitcoin. Instead of keeping them in an exchange wallet.
In general.
Avoid clicking phishing links.
Not your keys, not your coins.
332  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: January 27, 2024, 07:21:18 PM
saving alone is not enough to be rich when you are old, young people must also be able to save and invest the money they get from their salary. because when someone just saves without thinking about investment, their savings may decrease in value due to inflation every year and they won't get any interest from it. whereas when they invest, it means they invest their money in assets that can give them returns that can increase their assets.

Sving fiat currencies in countries that did not have strong economy is a waste of time and effort. Saving money generally is not a good idea and at the same time is not a good plan to be rich in future. If you only save money, after some years the money you save will not have the same value it use to have, therefore investing the money at early stage is better, but let the investment be in a something very profitable lie real estate, or bitcoin.

Quote
even though it is quite difficult to save and invest at the same time, if young people can reduce their lifestyle and start using their salary wisely, they should do this. because after all, saving and investing is one of the best ways that young people can achieve prosperity in their old age.
Sometimes, this lifestyle of a thing is due to peer pressure. If at a very young age you are able to understand the benefit of saving money, you will not be influenced by you fellow friends, you will focus on investment because it is the best.
333  Economy / Economics / Re: The savings problem on: January 27, 2024, 07:08:36 PM
Another reason for this problem is that expenditure is higher than income.  When a person earns 3$ and spends 4$, he has to borrow the remaining 1$ and pay it back with his salary. This is how the debt started. This is how people continue to borrow. This is how he  No more saving.  There is an overpopulation problem with it.  If there are 8 members in a family and only one earner, how will that person save money?
This purely inflation. If the amount you are spending is more than what you are earning, you need to take some balance to check your spending limits, your demands, your needs and your wants; reduce your wants and focus on your needs so as to get balance or you will be a debtor for life because your salary will only be use to settle your loans so that you will be eligible for another loan. That is why wise people says that if your salary is your only source of income, then you are just one step away from poverty, that is why it is advisable to have a side hustle apart from your main work.

Tech, web development, and other skills can earn us more money to stop relying on our salaries; if we have side hustle, we will have chance to save money for investment and for future use so that we cannot be debtors for life. Let's use our time to learn skills that will help us in the future.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2023/2024 on: January 26, 2024, 06:44:11 PM
Multi bet if you choose Chelsea and Man City with the odds owned @3.68 but if you place a single bet both will be more because I think the curiosity between Chelsea vs Aston Villa is still doubtful even though Chelsea has won several times but because playing at home there will always be motivation to win again for Chelsea.

I will choose Chelsea single bet @2.00
Man City @1.80.
Why do you have so much confidence about Chelsea at stamford bridge this night? Remeber the match is against Aston Villa that is on form this season.
Playing a single ticket carying both Chelsea and Manchester City to win will have a good odd, and it will likely come, but if we remember that any of these teams are hungry of any trophy this season, then we will know the risk behing staking a handicap game for them; Play both team to score instead to reduce risk and avoid losing money if any of these teams fail to win.

335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 26, 2024, 06:26:58 PM
After watching Osimhen play in the African cup of nations,I just think the striker is overrated,I mean I didn't see anything so special about him,he misses chances so much that I cant see him cost upto 100 million pounds. The only thing I see good about him is that he is tall, and he controls almost all the ariel balls that come upfront. He is also a nightmare to defenders but he is overrated. If he gets to England,I think he won't be able to get this recognition he is getting in Napoli. He will flop because England pattern of football is just like the Africans own where they play phisical football,so if you aren't strong phisically, you won't Excell.
Every striker miss chances, and he is not overrated. His performance is a bit low compared to his team performance because it is a country's game with different players that you only train once in a while, unlike your team players that you all train daily, how do you expet his performance to be the same? If he signed for any England team, he will perform well based on the Premier League style of football. Any team that will be able to raise huge amount od money to sign him will have good good playmakers that can create as much chances as possible for a striker to convert, and Osimhen is good at converting chances, he is just having a bad form in the AFCON competition which might end soon.

England Pattern of football is not the same with Aftcan football man, there are alot of professionalism in English football which is not in the African football. We have seen so many players that couldn't play well in their country side but they are playing well in their club side, this is normal.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 26, 2024, 05:45:19 PM
Even though many say Real Sociedad can beat PSG because they are not a farmer's league, I still admit that PSG is much better than Sociedad in terms of team quality. I am sure PSG will be able to beat Sociedad and advance to the next round. I don't underestimate Sociedad because we know they are performing quite well in the league and are ranked 6th in the standings. But with the quality of players both have, I think PSG is clearly far superior.
Once a big team, always a big team. PSG is far better Real Sociedad in terms of everything including the quality of players. Some people are thinking that since Messi, Neymar, and other big names players left PSG, the team will not be up to their standard, but Mbappe is capable together with some of their signings to make the team a great one, and surprisingly, they can win the Champions League with these players Shocked

Real Sociedad is performing greatly in all competitions this season, I think this turn around in the team is about to give a high rating in the eye of their fans because they shoced them by toping the group D of the Champions League this season ahead of Inter Milan, Benfica, and Salzburg. Nevertheless, this should not be the reason why fans will underrate PSG just because they used to be eliminated in the Champions League more often. Only big teams will eliminate PSG at this stage, Sociedad will be eliminated by PSG.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 26, 2024, 05:30:39 PM
Klopp says that Liverpool needs a coach of the highest level, and he is not that young anymore and cannot be that way. It’s very weird to hear this from him, in my opinion, age can only add experience and skill to a coach, maybe he’s just tired and wants to rest. He also mentioned that giving six press conferences a week is incredibly difficult and he dreams of a day when he won’t do it, that is, it all comes down to the fact that he is tired and wants to rest.
He also said that he would not coach any team or national team next year, just rest, and also said that he would never coach another English club, so he would definitely not return to the Premier League.
Perhaps Liverpool want to take the same or similar decision as Arsenal did when they were tired with Arsene Wenger, the fans were tired of his management style and pattern which was why they called for his resignation in the year 2018; for Jurgen Klopp to make this statement, the manageent probably need another manager with fresh mind to take the team to the next level, and that can be the reson why they will not wants to renew Klopp's contract as there will be other managers they will be eying outside the Premier League which can be either Alonso, or any other manager out there.

If Liverpool change manager next season, it might affect their performance next season because the new manager they will sign will come with hisown pattern of football which may take some of the players time to adapt, as a result, it will affect their performance before the manager and the players get to know each other's tactics. Alonso, and De zarbi will be the best option for Liverpool, but their chance of having any of them is limited.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What strategies do you adopt that can help to make millions in sport betting on: January 25, 2024, 10:26:04 PM
After going through the thread below titled "Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting?"
I think it's possible using some sporting strategies. I wish to know which strategy have you been using to win big as a gambler.

The way you guys talk about winning money from gambling is really funny to me because how do you comfortably win a million. Since you know the strategy and you want us to share within us, why don't you go first and let's start from you.
There are many strategy and combination to win a million but that strategy also involves you losing millions, it's a predictions and it's not guarantee that you will make it for the first trial, second trial, third trial continuesly, some people are even suggesting using huge amount of money but the same strategy can make yo lose everything, it's good we all admit th loss so we don't mislead people.

Whatever type of sport you choose to play, understand that it involves some level of risk, the same way you can win it is the same way you can loose it all but if you have the mind to pursue it with good strategy you can win it more than you can lose but surely, you will lose many times too. Don't be consumed by greed of gambling that because you know your strategy can win you some millions and you will stake high amount of money. You will only regret doing that after you have loss.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 25, 2024, 10:16:57 PM
If we look at the remaining matches in the Premier League this season, of course there are many match remaining so liverpool must be able to perform consistently to be able to lock up the EPL trophy. Even though Liverpool is in the leading area to win the EPL trophy, But Manchester city and Arsenal will definitely put strong pressure on liverpool this season. For this reason, Liverpool must focus on their goal in the carabao Cup final match where they must be able to maintain the quality of their neat game to become champions.

It is true that Liverpool has have 3 hopes of winning trophies this season, But it is still uncertain whether they will be able to do it perfectly. In the European league they still have a long way to go to reach the final and in the Premier League it is also the same because there are still many matches left. But yes, in the final match of the carabao Cup, Liverpool are more the favorites to win the Carabao Cup trophy because they are stronger than chelsea.

We have crossed the middle road of the season. Most of the teams has played their 21 games, that means we are left with 17 weeks to go, that's going to be like 4 months and a week down to go to finalize this season and Liverpool is 6 points ahead of Manchester City but Manchester City has a pending match, if they play it and win that game which is likely for them, then Liverpool will only be 2 points away from them in the table, that's some shame because I don't understand why Manchester City will have to win this league every season, let's have some changes this season and give room for other teams to enjoy the League too.

I'm not sure how Liverpool are going to survive without him because after carefully checking on the goals that each player has scored, I realized that Salah and Haaland both have 14 goals which means Salah will be dragging for golden booth and same as Haaland and now that he is away, Haaland might come back from injury before him and if he play well, he might not only push Salah away from been the highest but Liverpool might risky losing some match because clearly, he among the heart of Liverpool right now.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 25, 2024, 10:04:06 PM
I noticed that as well. I think it’s because of the Premier League's Sustainability Rules and profits. Clubs are being very careful not to break these rules. We saw how Everton were deducted 10 points in the early part of the season for breaching the rules, while they and Nottingham Forest have been charged recently for the same thing.
FFP is on everybody’s Asses. I think a lot of clubs are just observing and the last thing they want to do is break those rules and potentially be deducted points now that the season has gone far.
But apart from that, we should not forget that the January transfer window is normally pretty quiet every year, a lot of the big business is usually done in the summer.

Everton and Nottingham forest qwre just pulpit that were use to show a good example to other teams that voided the FFP and Premier League rules. You want to tell me that it's only these two clubs that are guilty of this rule breaking? There are many of them but I think it as easy for Premier League to dealt with Everton and Nottingham Forest than other teams. If I remember some months ago, Manchester City was been accused of doing the same thing, some people were happy that if 10 points is deducted, they will be demoted in the table but today, it's has been silent, there is nothing money can't do in football.

January usually is quite transfer period, some players might have been signed by some clubs but they might not make news like the way other club will do until when the market is close and performance start showing you wl realized. Some discussion of some players are also going on and will not be finalized until some days before the transfer window closes, that's when you will hear that a particular club has bought this and that player for this amount of money.
