1021  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase profit in business on: July 03, 2023, 08:38:49 AM
From what you mentioned about customer retention that is a good one because seriously today what most businesses that are thriving today are enjoying is referrals, if you get one customer and you relate well with the individual that person can bring another 10 customers and such will also bring another 10 from there you have more customer to buy your products and that means more income and profit

This strategy is good and simple to apply but in reality, the result maybe different. Reason is that you may relate very well with customers and they spread your market to their friends but if the need is not there, they will not come and the price is also another key to consider. The customer you sold am item to might be interested in what was sold to him and the other might not be interested in the price, they will want to make research about price in another location and if they found out that it's cheaper than the amount you sell, they wouldn't come to you and even the first customers you sell to wouldn't come back again.

Your logic can only work in a situation where you sell goods and services that has a uniform price, it wouldn't be a problem to get customers to come and buy, in this case using discounted price shouldn't be your next move but how to win them over like society interested, like relating to what they like, get to know them and if the customer is a public person, talking good side of their family isn't bad and also religious aspects if you share the same believe with them.
1022  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter ad sales down 59%, company valuation down 66% on: July 03, 2023, 08:06:47 AM
He says that Twitter is being scraped by bots and it slows down the system, but users have found a bug that causes the client to fire unnecessary requests. Also, immediately after buying Twitter Musk was talking about some inefficient API use, even though the Twitter engineers publicly disagreed with him. A lot of them got fired. Seems like Elon decided to have his way and "fix" something that wasn't broken.

I'm not his fan from day 1 and never liked his behavior since he became the sole owner of that micro blog. The limit thing is clear to everyone that Elon is only trying to make people subscribed to his $8 thing in favor of making more revenues. Remember that some money were borrowed in addition to what was use to purchase Twitter and they have deadline to pay back plus interest and the plan was to pay from the interest of the company, they also have staffs to settle and that is why I see this as a milking opportunity by Elon Musk. There is no way you will explain this in technical term to layman that they wouldn't see it as a business strategy but regardless of his tactics, people that are less interested will live and also reduce number of users.
1023  Economy / Economics / Re: No petrol/diesel car sales by 2035/ Reality or dream? on: July 03, 2023, 07:59:04 AM
The correct answer is this:
- In highly developed countries, there is a high probability that there will be a dramatic reduction in the production and sales of PERSONAL vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. There are all the conditions for this - an acceptable income of the majority of the population to replace/buy hybrid/electric cars, a developed infrastructure for electric cars.
- In other countries, there will be a trend, but there will not be a quick transition. The reasons are exactly the opposite - insufficient income level of citizens, lagging behind the infrastructure of generation and delivery of electricity for cars of mass use.

There is more to why this adaptation of electronic cars will be difficult in less developed countries, it's not that some individuals don't have the money to purchase this vehicles to follow the trend but where to use it becomes a challenge due to bad roads. Most of these hybrid cars can only be use where there is good roads and source of electricity and the less developed countries are always having this problem of having 24/7 power supply, how will they use these cars, they don't have good infrastructure to begin with, I can't imagine cases of emergency and no source of power in the car, it will be a terrible thing to observed.

The dream of no petrol cars might be effective and soar in developed countries but I don't think so for third world countries that are struggling to feed and cure poverty rate, because it has been proven that Electric cars are even more costly than petrol cars. Many people will settle for the lessers price even in developed countries where the trend will be available.

I’ve turned $1,000 into $100,000
I’ve turned $6,000 into $80,000
I’ve turned $11,000 into $550,000
and recently I’ve turned $4,000 into $90,000
With nothing to show for it…I’m a sharp sports bettor, but I always end up going all in. I can never be satisfied until it’s too late. I always need to go all in.
I’ve been reading comments from my last post (turning $4,000 into $90,000 and losing the entire $90,000), and I can’t help but feel like shit.

How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.
Turning 1,000 USD into 100,000 USD is quite impossible. If you manage your profits till you gained 100K grands then how come you lose after all? I think it is because of greediness. If I were you, I will secure 90% of my gains and turn into a real investment. Because risking your money in gambling is just burning dollars on your hand.

But he almost did it, by betting $4,000 to $90,000 but the mistake he made is that he didn't measure his risk, he blindly went all in and it back fire at the end. It is not that hard to split games to reduce the risk, in 4 independent bets, there is no way to lose everything if he is sure of how he turn the previous games and with that, more money can be made with those bets and continuesly but he put all his eggs in one basket and everything is all lost, indeed greed will make you do what even a newbie is not suppose to do, if he has actually won as he claim, that mistake would have been easily avoidable.

He should go again, gambling is about luck, a day will come when the $1M will be won but strategy must be revised and change to reach that level and hopefully, he hasn't sold his house by that time Grin , you know gambling can make people do crazy things especially when there is addiction.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 02, 2023, 02:42:12 PM
I wonder what exactly makes 21 limit. I always feel like 18 year old people are sort of aged physically but in mental most of them are very very childish. So I would say 18 as betting age would be very very low... 20-21 maybe even 22 should probable be limit here as I can remember I felt adult enough only around 20. Anyways I believe most of high schoolers in my country does sports gambling around. Its not well enforced in my country. But in online platforms it may probably be better tho.

In some countries, body size and level of intelligence are taken into consideration instead of age. For instance, in countries where young individuals are consistently intelligent and physically developed, the age of 18 is often used as a benchmark. However, in countries where 18-year-olds may still exhibit childlike behavior, it can be unsettling for parents, prompting some societies to consider raising the age to 21. But, in some jurisdictions, the ages of 20 to 22 may be designated for activities like gambling, while they continue to adhere to the age of 18 as the standard for adulthood as a means to reduce criminal behavior among younger individuals.

What about the rumours Liverpool will buy Mbappe? Many local media in my country are talking about this. Liverpool are reportedly ready to buy Mbappe and are willing to pay more than $300 million. PSG executives from Qatar were furious with Mbappe's decision not to renew his contract beyond 2024. This news seems to be released soon, which means that in the near future.

Source: https://www.marca.com/en/football/transfer-market/2023/06/27/649a324122601d16128b459c.html

Any news outlet that says anything about Mbape that is not from Fabrizio Romano, I will believe it to be fake and unreliable because he one the best transfer news person in football. This is just a another rumur just like other one's out their regarding Mbape transfer. It will be a good move if MBA e comes to Premier League, any of the top notch team will enjoy him but did they have the financial capacity to take asking price on Mbape? Klop that I know wouldn't make such a drastic move because as it seems right now, Mbape is asking for $230 million for his move from Real Madrid and they are yet to even respond to such talk more Liverpool that has been having difficult time to take such deal. If anyone believe this uncook story behind since of Liverpool, then they I believe that Arsenal will acquire Mbape in due time.

I think having a trio of Mbappe, Messi and Neymar was PSG's biggest chance to go for their first Champions League title finally. However they didn't show the same performance about their manager choice. I was really not waiting for them to sign a manager like Galtier who didn't have a successful career. This was a really big risk to take for PSG.

The truth is that PSG are impatients and it will hurt them in the near future, Galtier came just last year and when they found out that he couldn't win the Champions League, they fired him despite winning league1 cup for them, is that record that bad to deserve a sack after a year spent. They also didn't respect Messi and it didn't well and now he is chilling in the US with his fame and they are now focus on making money on team Mbape and worst part is that, there is no club that is willing to crawl into their huge trap, any club that go into buying Mbape and couldn't won the Champions league will enter financial crisis.

Pochettino is already working on his own formation and players which are going to help him for having better end of next season for the Chelsea right now Romeo Lukaku is having uncertainty on his future because Chelsea wants him to sell and Inter Milan is not having enough money to buy him on current price, and he is also already decline offer from the Saudi League which is surely not good response from his side because this was good for him, and he can do much better in this league which is surely going to help his career coming back on track for future.

Saudi league had another better offer more less than what was placed on Lukaku, it will be very difficult for Chelsea to find a club that will be willing to go hard to sign Lukaku with such a big price. Since Inter Milan insist on loan expansion, they should have agreed on such deal but it seems Chelsea will make lost with such deal. If they cut down the asking price, they should have more people coming for the cake because lukaku is good it's just that his character is deeming, we all see how Inter fans came for him after the conclude Champions league against Manchester City.

Quote
But after this all what is going to happen nothing is clear, and we have to wait for the right time about his future and deal about him because Inter Milan is trying to have him on loan again and Chelsea is not agreed but most chances we will have something suitable for the all parties in coming days.

Lukaku was one of the worst signee Tuchel made wrongs move for because been signed for $113 million and loan out for $8m is a very bad investment and the annoying thing is that Inter is willing to sign him again but this time, they want him for lesser price of $5 million, that's discpurage; They should better sell him and move on to other important things.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy BNB? on: July 01, 2023, 07:03:45 PM
Binance's native blockchain token (BNB) experienced a dip in price after the SEC fiasco. The exchange is facing heavy pressure by the US government regulatory agency. If Binance wins a lawsuit against the SEC, BNB's price could go all the way to the moon in an instant. But if it loses, BNB could experience new lows until it goes below the "triple digits".

If  Binance lose the case, the worst I think SEC will do is fine them, they will say Binance should pay and that's what SEC want and at the end, they will be happy that they found CZ at long last but I don't think there is much damage that will be done that will exceed what has been done, Binance has a strong community that are always ready to sheeply follow CZ to the grave, BNB will remain strong, don't even expect the price to go lower than where it slide to the other day because the support is firmed and tight.

Quote
I'm wondering if now is the good time to buy BNB or should I wait a little bit more? The crypto market is still bearish, so we should expect further pressure against an altcoin like BNB in the short term. Who knows if BNB will reach higher prices in the future? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

BNB has utility and use case from other different other protocols, I expect to grow as much like other layer 1 we have in the entire market and because Binance exchange remains number sort out people's choice, I expect it grow no matter the situation of the market, if Ether remain valuable in crypto space, BNB will also remain valuable as alternative to the chain.
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a trap? on: July 01, 2023, 06:32:47 PM
Is of no doubt the market has already turned green and ETH surpasses 1.9k, though I was having this feeling to enter the market now that we have full confidence that we are no longer going dip. But I am a bit confused if this could be a bear trap, what do you think of the market is there any good analyst to give accurate results on what would happen next or to know if this is a bear trap.

You have to understand one thing with this market, investors are here to earn money, they are not here to do any party, so when you see market is pumped when everyone expected it to dump, then you should understand that's it's there hand work, they are doing that in their own favor, they are doing everything to protect their investment whether they called it manipulation or not, they will not allow their investment to soak in the water. My advice for you is this, if you are new into this game of buying and selling coins, do your own research and pick interest in whatever coins you want to buy and proceed and buy them and take yours eyes off the price, they always pumped after some period but you must make sure you are capable of holding it.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How is your Gambling Pattern Like? on: July 01, 2023, 04:41:56 PM
I don't have a gambling addiction, but I acknowledge that there are issues with my gambling habits that need to be addressed and corrected. One of the effective ways to tackle this is by observing, imitating, or modifying the patterns of other gamblers to suit me best. I'm curious about your own gambling lifestyle. Do you set aside specific times each day or week for gambling? If you enjoy sports betting, do you bet on games throughout the week whenever they're available? When it comes to visiting casinos, do you play at one today or this week and then try out a different one the next time you want to gamble? As for bankroll management, do you track it using an app, Excel, or any other methods? And regarding your environment, do you prefer playing at an online casino while listening to music in the background, or do you prefer a quiet atmosphere? I may have missed other aspects, but these questions should suffice for now. I look forward to reading your thoughts and comments.

Gambling especially sports betting in particular doesn't have a specific or defined pattern, you have to tweak your ways into winning some bets. As you have said, sometimes you have to observed instead of wasting money on lose bets, you have to sit and don't even play at all, and while doing that, you should have another strategy onsight to bet this next game.
What I have observed in sport betting is that, in the beginning of the leagues, there are some difficulty to make predictions because of reshuffle of players but in the half way of the season, things does becomes crystal clear to bet on favorite players that is why it's good to even bets on some teams to lose rather than expected them to win and regarding tracking of loss games, I don't use Excell, my funding app has historically transactions of money I have sent and receive and with the bank App, it's easier to export the doc into excel for calculations.

Newcastle has not yet been stopped from getting more and more quality players.. newcastle is now having a new target. Gleison bremer has been targeting by juventus. bremer is one of juventus defender. It's likely juventus will let bremer to leave as long as newcastle can afford to pay a lot of money for him.
eddie howe is so crazy. This club is now targeting so many players. It's started to buy everything needed by the club under the new owner. That's why newcastle can compete with another big club in UCL next season.

I didn't know Newcastle were this financially fit to bring more players as I was seeing some speculations back them been limited with $70m for transfer of new players, perhaps it was some unverified news out let agenda because they needed all the players to play radically to push for Champions League by this season and hopefully they successfully bring Di Lorenzo to strengthen their defensive position, with little touch of attackers they should be good to go for the season and perform very well and who knows this time they will perform better than people always expected.

Quote
More and more UCL clubs have no limitation to buy the new player. The only thing that prevent them from buying a lot of players was FFP.

So there is FfP regulations in FIfA and they never did anything to tackle Barcelona before they ran into financial crisis, I don't know how they were spending to the point they couldn't bring back Messi, it has always been this financial challenge and they are even buying more players and willing to buy more.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 01, 2023, 03:49:27 PM
With the size of the budget that has been set, Manchester United can't do much, so it's back to Erik Ten Hag who must be able to maximize these funds. Because as we can see from other clubs their budget is more than that. The Glazers don't seem to be serious about fully supporting the future of Manchester United. Because it demands that Erik Ten Hag be able to take advantage of a limited budget, don't blame Erik Ten Hag if the results aren't as good as last season.

Considering the situation of Manchester United, the Glazer's are economizing their porse because of the situation on ground about the transfer of ownership should incase the club become sold to another person because Sheikh Jassim offer is still on the table and they are willing to buy the club any moment from now. But even with the little budget, they can bring in good men from other clubs that are willing to live their club for Manchester United, after all we have seen low budget players becomes good assets to another clubs, they don't need to target big players to win leagues.

Quote
This summer transfer market is quite important and when Manchester United's budget is minimal, the addition of players will not be achieved optimally. The Glazers should have sold Manchester United to Sheikh Jassim from the start, maybe this club will get big money.

I think that if Sheik Jassim becomes the real owner Manchester United whether now or towards half way of the season, there could be some strategic shuffle of players, he will be willing to give Erik more money in the January transfer period to acquire more players, however, I still think Manchester United will do fine with the players they are bringing in since last month so far.

This is right but in the Champions League it is not always the best team that wins the title. Guardiola couldn't was not able to win the Champions League not because he is a bad coach or had a bad team. But in the knockout stage of the Champions League many things can happen that influence the game and make the stronger team lose as a result. I felt that Guardiola had the best team often times in that tournament, but there were some minor issues here and there that got them eliminated. The luck that Real Madrid had three years in a row was missing for Manchester City. Now it could be Manchester City who defend the title as the second team in history.

I'm trying to comprehend and understand what you are saying, the best team as whole or favorite team? We all do have favorite team that we always wish to win the Champions League but sometimes, plans are shattered along the road. For the best team, everyone knows from the group stage that Manchester City were among the best team last season, Inter was also a good but we're lucky to maneuver some great teams but Guardiola way of winning was exceptional that's why they are the best even before the final was played, I knew long ago that they were going to win that cup but for this season, I have to see some matches before I can have a say for the best this season.

"No Team can dominate the Premier league and win back to back league titles" has now become a statement of the past after Pep just sealed a third straight title!,

This is misinformation and may suggest that you are not vast with English premier league history; why do i say this?
Manchester United remains

  • the first English club sides to have won the treble multiple times,
  • the first English club side to win the league 3 consecutive seasons in a row; 2 times and also won 6 leagues out of 7 seasons consecutively.
You can praise pep ofcourse, without downplaying history lol.

Standard! It's called standard buddy.
Anyone can be the first to achieve something but how you end the process determine if you will have good side or bad side of history. I wouldn't say Manchester United is bad but they have fell off badly, thanks to Erik Teng if not it would have been worse than the page they are currently. Look at Chelsea, the once respected England top tier club struggle through the season to stay in premier league despite buying of top players and switch of managers severally. Talking of Pep, he deserves what ever praise people splash on him because he deserves it, he work for it and it his time, this is the kind of praises you get after many attempt and years in some work that finally work again in your favor.

Finally, romano has been confirming it if mason mount will be going to the manchester united. The deal between chelsea and MU already reached. Mason mount gonna do medical test and signed agreement with manchester united as soon as possible.
MU agreed to pay more like chelsea wants. Congrats for MU by getting mount from chelsea.

Pochettino is selling every notable player the club is having, only time before he sold out Toed Boehly  Grin But joke aside, Chelsea had sold roughly 6 players that has amount to $160m, Mason Mount been sold for $55 inclusive of the adds on, that will be roughly $205 millions. This amount is good to buy talented players from Benfica and some other clubs that are known for selling of good players.

Congrats to Manchester United for bringing in Mason, but I thought Erik had only $100m as balance to buy more players, now that he has spent $55m, he would be left with $45m and that can only buy only a single great player except that balance amount was just a speculation from anti Manchester United people.

4. Experience your knowledge with Demo Trading: Its a good choice for beginners to trade with the demo funds before investing real funds. It will help to find out the faults of your analysis without losing real assets. It will also increase the experience of a trader. Some sites are offering Demo trading like Etoro , Bybit etc.

Most of the demo trading apps or platform we have for crypto are very limited, they should be no more than 4 in number, and the don't have all the coins to practice, most of the time they have just bitcoin and it's not enough for practicing for beginners, they don't have all these crazy altcoins to see how one can handle volatility. Tradingview has this features and trade any coin you desire with paper trading. Cry

5. Avoid Emotional Trading and Always Follow the Trend : Beginners are very poor to control their emotions in crypto trading. Even many experienced traders can't control it. So it should be controlled by practice and patience. Don't go for FOMO(Fear Of Missing Out) buying, avoid FUDs (Fear, Uncertainty And Doubt) and try to know more about Fear and Greed Index. And it's a must to follow the trend because there might be a chance to pump together.

This is easier to say, even professional traders feel the impact when things go wrong and it's even normal for human being to react when they experience a loss but with time, it comes normal under normal conditions of trading accompanied by risk management, you need risk to avoid dashing out money to the market.

6. Learn About Upcoming News or Events: We all can predict that Bitcoin pumps hard after every Halving. So there are many upcoming news and events available of every project which can determine its price. So we should also look at those upcoming events.

You can't learn about upcoming news but when you stay glued to some media channels and top influencers with reputation who have high number of followers like Twitter, Telegram channels do help, but you should know that there are some information that comes sometimes unexpected, even the media channels don't expect them, they come by surprise and shock and you don't have options than to play along the market.
1038  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Multiple timeframes is another means of getting better market clarity on: June 29, 2023, 04:09:16 PM
Whether you are a long or short-term trader, no matter the timeframes you are using to analyze the market, others might be trading differently. This is more reason why I like to use at least 5 timeframes for trading, which will surely increase my chance of capturing the true psychology of the market at that time. And you know what? All of them must agree on a particular direction before I pull the trigger.

Having multiple time frames doesn't matter, it depends on the price action of your pairs that you choose to trade. For instance, you open a long position of any coin and anticipate for it to go up, whether you are using 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, and 12 hours, profit will be made if it goes in your direction, what differentiate these time frames is the candle they produce respectively in each time.

Your target as a trader should be your support and resistance regardless of what ever time frame you choose to trade, the gains are going to be the same thing when you measure it and the same thing for loss as well.

After months of debate about betting ads, including the prime minister, Anthony Albanese, labelling them “annoying” and the opposition leader, Peter Dutton, calling for a ban on ads during sports matches, the inquiry has provided a blueprint to shut them down entirely.

If this should be implemented will it affect bitcointalk casinos? As we all know most established and new casinos come to bitcointalk to launch their ANN thread and carry out signature promotion campaigns which can be regarded as ads in a sense. If ads should be banned will their promotion in Bitcointalk also end?

Adverts is a free will and the government should allow people do whatever they choose to do without going to start again and another thing is that with gambling or without gambling ads, the people would continues to use the forum without any much changes, we night see reductions in the traffic coming to the forum but the forum will be fine at long because it's not only on gambling promotion the forum is working on, there are other sources like the mixers, like the exchanges and also alts projects that does adverts on the forum and less gambling promotions gives opening for other new collaborations for new players.

The FC Chelsea and the sell-out continues. 4 players have now been sold and another is leaving without a transfer fee. So 3 of 5 players are going to Saudi Arabia, there is about Kante, Mendy and Koulibaly, all three are over 30 years old. And now also Kai Havertz for 70 million to Arsenal, it only happened because Nkunku came from Leipzig. The best thing is that Romelu Lukaku is coming back, he played so long in England and Chelsea. But Chelsea will not spend another 600 million euros.

Pochettino be doing some Fumigation of players even before starting matches, not bad approach to me, he should let the old dutch bags live and use the fees to buy new players but I wonder if the money they are accumulating will be good enough to bring young players to Stanford bridge. It will be zero sense of reasoning if Pochettino allow Romelu Lukaku to come back to Chelsea, he had the opportunity to go to Champions League and couldn't deliver his team but want to come to a team that is struggling to reach the group stage next season, I think only a successful leaders are needed in Chelsea right now.
