The last time Liverpool lost match was 9th of November, this shows that the two teams are very in good form since last month and Arsenal has lost match this Month to same Aston Villa, they need to step up there games more to be able to win this season.

I think Walter gamble it to see if other players can do better just so that they don't have to depend on main squad that usually start to the match for Napoli bit they failed and when substitutions happened, it wasn't effective as he expected.
