1261  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is "Circle" a good place to buy Bitcoin? on: June 21, 2015, 08:38:20 PM
thanks for the input. are there dangers with storing btc on your phone?

There are two dangers particular to mobile devices:

1. Losing your bitcoins when you lose, break, or wipe your phone: You must back up your wallet or wallet seed. If you do, then you can always restore your wallet on another phone.

2. Losing your bitcoins through theft of the phone. If your wallet is not encrypted, then somebody can steal your bitcoins by stealing your phone. The wallet must be encrypted and allow access only with a password. If you do that, then nobody can steal your bitcoins.

Do not use a wallet that does not protect against either of these dangers.

3. If the wallet is encrypted, there are still malwares that target specifically smartphones, that are capable to log keystrokes and send them back in SMS to the bad guy, so be careful with this also.

1263  Economy / Services / Re: ╔═══════╣█├ Bitcoin Research Lab ┤█╠═══════╗ on: June 21, 2015, 08:35:45 PM
Tell me guys what research you want me to do? I can do any sort of bitcoin related research, well documented, with proof.

I also work very cheap so it will barely cost you  Smiley

I would like to hear about a research about how many bitcoin users there are in bitcoin. More specifically how many active bitcoin users use bitcoin, who own atleast 0.01 BTC and participate in the economy somehow.

Can you make that?
1264  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ╣█├ Research about Faucets ┤█╠ on: June 21, 2015, 08:33:46 PM
Stay away from faucets! You would make more money going through your couch.

yeahh you get money but just litle satosi

Free BTC sites are not worth the time effort
IMO Tongue

So you say you dont want BTC for free? Thats a shame, so I`ll take all the free btc instead of you, thanks!

I am willing to put the effort in it.

1266  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 21, 2015, 08:29:51 PM
I just surfed around Youtube and i stumbled across this great podcast of BITCOIN VS GOLD.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1VtZT5HEFs

I think its the best debate ever and clearly bitcoin won it.

The electricity argument was also refuted, we wont go back to stoneage so by default the trendy currency bitcoin will be

For now may be bitcoin will win against gold but for later on who will know? And bitcoin need a mass adoption to make bitcoin price stable besides gold is already in mass adoption so gold price is more stable that will make gold is good on long term investment

Gold was long term investment, it's not anymore.

The next, long term investment is bitcoin. If you buy now, probably , you can retire by the time you hit retirement age. The power of deflation!
1267  Economy / Economics / Re: If Greece defaults on: June 21, 2015, 08:28:40 PM
I was watching TV and it is now imminent, and probably inevitable that the GREXIT will happen, greece will default and probably the bank dominoes will fall down 1 by one.

Then the house of cards phony economy with it. When does the debt come due in Thursday?

1269  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: June 21, 2015, 08:25:57 PM
Do what the good old greeks do, put the money below the mattress, dig it in the backyard, or just put it on a treasure island with a map!

Of course there are plenty of better ways, use Bitcoin perhaps.
1270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: June 21, 2015, 08:23:10 PM

1272  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: June 21, 2015, 08:21:26 PM
Hands down it is better to invest money safely for an increase than saving it.
Saved money will only remain as it is and if affected by inflation the purchasing power will reduce.

If, the accent is on "if" you can manage to increase it safely.

There are too many scams lately in not just this forum but the whole financial world.

1274  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: June 11, 2015, 01:26:44 AM

Hii!
Just wondering if there are any fellow girls on here who are into Bitcoin mining, trading, etc. It seems it's mainly guys. We are roughly 50% of the population of this planet yet I can't find any girls who are into Bitcoins, anywhere.

Everytime I try to mention Bitcoins while hanging out with girlfriends they always look confused and change the subject, yet they're not "dumb girls", they've been to Uni, spend a lot of time online, have paypal acc's, online banking, etc. Why are they so reluctant to hear about Bitcoins?

It is a well known fact that everyone on the internet is a guy! JK, i don't think you're the only one, I mean come on... This is a big community, it's probably a 50-50 population.

Not really about 80% of people here are guys, there might be girls too, but hard to verify. Unless they post a picture with a paper in their hands "Bitcointalk.org" (and even that can be photoshopped so better make a video) , its only guessing who is who...

1276  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: hello, question about trading on: June 09, 2015, 09:25:40 AM
Hello,

First, sorry for my english.

Imagine this is the order book on btc-e:

SELL                                  BUY

1 btc at 230            1 btc at 220
1 btc at 240            1 btc at 210
1 btc at 250            1 btc at 200

now, in same time

mister A put a SELL order of 2 btc at 10 euros      AND     and mister B put a BUY order of 2 btc at 250

at what price mister a will sell is 2 btc?
at what price mister b will sell is 2 btc?

in advance thanks

mr a will sell the 2 btc at 10 €

mister B will buy 2 btc at 250€

The order executes at the price specified, however since the highest bit and lowest ask needs to reach that level, until then the current one will be in from of MR A and MR B 's order.

Thats how the price auction mechanism works.

1279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: June 09, 2015, 09:19:59 AM
Is there some way to earn Bitcoins quickly?

Mining seems to be too far ahead of me, and faucets give out very little.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

You should get a part-time job and buy bitcoin with your salary. If you live in a developed country, it is the fastest and easiest way.

No other bitcoin mechanism will pay you more.
1280  Economy / Speculation / Re: What does it take for Bitcoin to go 100X? on: June 09, 2015, 09:17:32 AM
Well price is not going up because you spam bullish things on forum, you gotta work for it to happen.

The new amount of regulations that was proposed in the USA has halted the growth for now.

Lets hope next year we will have something positive, as this year is probably done
