1261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Scroll airdrop speculation on: October 28, 2023, 07:52:30 AM
For those who are hunting for airdrops, I think they will apply the same criteria as the previous L2s and can increase their volume to have a better chance of competing against active spammers. I see that people's massive FOMO about opportunities is vague and sometimes just a tool for developers to take advantage of the hype about a certain trend for profit. Scroll is also a project that I spend a lot of time reading about, but I actually don't prioritize using it much. Whether it's from the testnet stage or the mainnet stage, I speculate that the criteria for awarding rewards will not be an attractive enough guide.

And in the last few days, I accidentally read some user complaints about their frustration when spending a lot of different fees to participate in activities, but everything is still quite vague. There are many projects that are expected, not only Scroll and they are also dependent on market trends, developers can only argue everything with exaggeration and be sure that they will deliver laughter for users. This blood-sucking game makes me feel that perhaps people need to be more conscious about deciding whether to continue participating in the campaigns that are spreading through different social channels.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spirituality and Betting - Do they Have any Connection? on: October 28, 2023, 07:38:43 AM
Spirituality covers everything and does not exclude even small activities, but here what I observe is very much related to religion and beliefs. If we use it to talk about spirituality, I think many people who are not religious will misunderstand a lot about spirituality. First of all, to have a more objective view, I admit that I am a person who has researched spirituality and I have researched almost every major religion in the world, so if there is anything wrong, I hope will receive valuable feedback.

Quote
Now, my question is, does God play a part in our gambling activities? Do you think how much faith or not, we have in God (or whatever we serve as a God) has anything to do with how much we win or lose in sports betting and gambling in general?

I confidently assert that God will not direct people to develop greed and confusion in all activities in life. As far as I know, this religious belief promotes love and compassion in each person, and usually few people will know about it and understand the profound ideas that appear in scriptures. Especially today, the issue of religion is accepted by the new world as a prejudice about the ignorance of believers and they believe in the logic of science more than the miracles that come from spirituality.

As small as the story of human survival since birth is programmed with ideology from the previous generation, doubt and no belief in religion later but human wishes are not met. And if we are still stuck in the material story, it will be difficult to access spiritual truths, so actually that element of luck comes from ourselves, I know about many invisible laws that exist. exist in life like the law of balance, and the law of attraction,... so I know that luck or failure are not natural, they all have causes that we cannot see.

Nowadays, there are things that science cannot answer and they turn to search for answers through many different cultures, especially the East, where spiritual matters are considered to have many secrets hidden. Previously, I accidentally learned some interesting stories about the great minds of the generation of 20th century scientists. Behind many achievements, there is a mystery about spirituality, and anyone If they have ever learned about Buddhism, I believe they will all have insights into the life of limited knowledge that we currently know. It can be said that it is a religion that is many times more advanced in every aspect social perspectives, science and technology, and even when talking about knowledge in Buddhism have made the understanding of the universe that people know really too narrow.

1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 28, 2023, 07:08:34 AM
I've always assumed that most casino streamers were playing with sponsored money. If somebody loses thousands of dollars in a day and comes back to gamble again the next day as if nothing happened wouldn't that seem odd? We see it with crypto youtubers also. They will put on an exaggerated performance to sell you all kinds of products and after a dozen or so rugpulls they still act like the thing they're shilling for is the greatest thing ever. Anytime there is a sponsorship involved with streamers it is very likely you are going to see a curated experience designed to attract new users to a product and not a genuine representation of what an average user might typically see.
Yes, it is a great form of marketing that we are seeing appear on social platforms with many engaged users.

Not only gambling services but also any field can see this method applied, especially since the epidemic period is severe and online access is the only way to connect people together.

Returning to the issue of gambling and especially online gambling, we all know that every year bookmakers spend a lot of money on marketing activities, and hiring these KOLs is a small part of the plan they are aiming for, so there will also be many people with bad intentions who may be willing to spend more money to entice new people to come to them.

WHAT EXACTLY IS A DEFI BUSINESS ?
So what is this?

I see some slight inconsistencies in the advice the OP mentioned. I also saw the analysis from @o48o and feel even more confused about how the OP's message was conveyed.

- [1, 4] in short is one thing and similarly [2, 5] is also one.

I'm wondering where the OP got these. It's both funny and confusing and doesn't sound like any specific advice, but even if it's advice, the OP can share the results from applying these things.
1265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the increase in Bitcoin price benefits us on: October 27, 2023, 02:23:16 PM
I'm only mentioning the short term about the recent times when bitcoin's price increase is bringing direct profits to the investment, although I prefer a long term strategy with it but clearly at times BTC increases it brings more exciting atmosphere in the market than positive information is revealed then what's next Smiley . In fact, sometimes doubts still exist, but instead of doubting that the price will decrease again, you should enjoy this joy. Although this is a sensitive period for the market when very unconvincing news appears, it also causes reactions, such as the ETF issue that has been discussed a lot recently and sometimes I just laugh because of it. We find it easy to forget things that have just happened.
1266  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of this new scamming methods on: October 27, 2023, 02:14:22 PM
As a moderator and community manager, this will be difficult to avoid because scammers want to access and interfere a lot with the project you are managing. If they can't gain everyone's access, they will switch to copying project information and spreading malicious links that are not original content.
Nowadays, crypto-related community platforms attract a lot of people with bad intentions. An event that I remember about TG before was when just uploading photos in the group would have information hijacked, so be on high alert and always update changes as well as scam issues to warn everyone, thanks for sharing the OP.
1267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTT Token on: October 27, 2023, 02:00:53 PM
hi ,
my brother like most of Americans invested in FTT , what do you feel the future of FTT now ? Will it die a slow death ?
Instead of looking forward to the opportunity it brings that comes with risks, why not look for other cryptocurrencies to find better opportunities. I personally view FTT as a thing of the past although it will probably still have its supporters and FOMO every time there is new favorable news but overall it still has a lot of potential to lose money. To say it is dead is completely wrong, but can trust be rebuilt after so many problems have occurred? Its collapse has already been exposed, so there's no need to get too involved with it. They still have a lot of things to do if they want to come back. In the immediate future, they need to resolve legal issues, lawsuits, and assets lost users on FTX.
1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: October 27, 2023, 01:50:48 PM
Ripple mate , pricing around 50 cents? grab it before it grows so high .
Let me touch on this a bit, a few weeks ago we were all suspecting a big price drop but it didn't turn out like that, a vulgar PUMP with BTC through many news. news related to ETF. Personally, I have seen some altcoins have a significant bounce and there is speculation that they may continue to increase in the short term, but I will still maintain my stance on a market-wide flash and then we can be completely confident in the goods we want.

As for XRP, for me, growth is possible, but according to speculation, I think the profit level achieved will not be more optimal than with other cryptocurrencies, instead of XRP, I will choose LTC instead. But anyway, both will have no problem increasing prices if the market trend changes completely to a bullrun state.
1269  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: The smartest investment choice. on: October 27, 2023, 01:12:28 PM
Actually, those influencers seem to like to exaggerate their views, even though it makes no sense for the long term crypto market. Yes, maybe the short term volatility is so strong that there is no functioning financial market. But the story here is that they (previous generations) could only invest in things that were available at that time, but they were core to the economic industry, and it was not possible for them to succeed and become billionaires, meaning they are always right. People who don't understand bitcoin or have never even traded with it like to attack it, and there are also a bunch of conspiracies about whether they really don't hold bitcoins.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: October 27, 2023, 01:03:17 PM
One of the solutions which is recommended by most gamblers on this forum for gambling addiction is "Therapy" . Professional help in the form of therapy. It is good and very effective but how many persons can actually afford it? There is a fee for each session that lasts for a duration of 60minutes. And there are more than one session. Therapy for gambling addiction is expensive. How can those who are unemployed afford it? How about the college student? Or the person receiving minimum wage. What are the other low cost but very effective solutions to gambling addiction. And typically how long will it take before the addict starts to feel more in control and less withdrawal symptoms?
Will totally appreciate your responses. Thanks.
There was a time when I saw some online gambling games linked to social networking platforms. At that time, your friends who shared the same passion for gambling could play with each other, and it was completely free of charge. You don't have to deposit anything. If you run out of money in your account, you have to wait until the next day to receive additional rewards.
But for deep-rooted addictions, it's much more difficult. I'm not sure about the effective treatment method applied here, but I think it's only when the addiction causes a person to break the law that there's almost a chance for them to change. Propagating harmful effects, like on cigarette pack designs Smiley , and can also be more serious movements about gambling behavior. But it still needs to be made clear that it provides an entertaining environment, not a criminal space, so the easier things are for more people, the better awareness people will have about gambling.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 27, 2023, 09:03:59 AM
It would be a lie to me to say ''NO''. But actually, these things are wrong because work is work and entertainment should take place elsewhere. Before, when I was working at the old company, there were times when the company had absolutely no work to do, we just went there and played cards together directly to end the day. In addition, I also participate in watching the results between football matches during work hours, but in the end, I still shouldn't do that, but the stress of gambling when I become an addict will work. It will never be effective, and even if it's just criticism for entertainment, according to work regulations, it's not private work. I have also seen friends go bankrupt because of online gambling, so I don't want anyone to let gambling dominate their lives. Happiness is short-lived because some wins are just like a few stimulants that pull us along, go deeper with blind, uncontrolled behavior.

1272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, human rights, authoritarianism and war on: October 27, 2023, 08:46:43 AM
And adding an idea about the future, all conflicts will end when awareness and solidarity increase, there is no longer jealousy and competition between individuals, groups, regions, planets, galaxies, ... Smiley and bitcoin will be as popular as you can easily use it to pay for very small services (for example: buying a battery,... )
You're dreaming of a utopia and we're unlikely to see it anytime soon, so long as there's a difference in our religion, skin tone, culture and ideology, we will never be seeing each other eye to eye and bitcoin wouldn't be a glue that's going to bind that because the mess is just too big. Never in my wildest imagination would I think that Christians and Muslims will be holding hands in solidarity because of bitcoin, these two groups have done wars in the name of who's God is the real one and I don't a measly concept of currency would be bigger than their God.
Religious differences are a good mention here, your thoughts are absolutely not wrong if you look at history and the current context. Do you think that one day everyone on this planet will follow a particular religion or not follow any particular religion, simply a compromise of all viewpoints to develop together to conquer new challenges? But anyway, maybe we're discussing a bit too much compared to the main issue, as I mentioned it's just an idea (fiction is fine).
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 27, 2023, 08:37:53 AM

The thing is, no matter how difficult we all assume it is to win a lottery, somebody or some persons still wins at the end of the day, and such person or persons count themselves lucky, and fortunately, you are one of those who have indeed tasted lottery wins even though it does not involve millions or billions of dollars like what we see with US lottery and Powerball winners.

You did probably not even be on this forum if any of those wins you had involved such an amount of money as i mentioned, but all same, happy you were lucky enough to win, regardless of the amount of money won, if nothing else, the win should prove to you that you are a lucky guy after all.

The most important thing in the lottery game was we assume we win the game, but all the gambler option is like the same.So on the result day alone,we come to know the exact winner of the lottery. The lottery result is thrill one,we get excited to check the result in the earlier days. But on the day of the result the result will be declared. We should ready to wait for the result.Since the lottery was consider to be the game with billion or million of dollars, the gambler need more transference of the game. The lottery will have some many win like 10 winners with different prize amount. So the ten gambler had the chance of winning the game.
Actually, I think it's as simple as this, I've observed participants and the majority of regular players responded that it's impossible to win. And until I won, it was simply a fun game and didn't want to take it as a job or an opportunity to make money.
In the past, there was a time when I used to deduct a small part of my monthly salary to buy lottery tickets, because there are some interesting points that I realized about this game: the management company will structure the bonus amount for activities charity, so it's just a thought that if they are really doing that then it would be a good idea for each citizen to support a small amount and also get lucky.

1275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, human rights, authoritarianism and war on: October 26, 2023, 02:27:53 PM
I'm a Bitcoin lover, but I don't want to confuse too many issues that people take as the logic of life. First of all, the OP has brought up quite a wide range of issues ranging from the impact of bitcoin, and life story. Honestly, I express that similar to money, it can be seen as having many abilities to serve humans depending on our purposes, but the story of freedom or a block of management I think is not the case. We need to separate and harmonize. Historical lessons from different periods show us that many things are intertwined in life and whether its ability to be maintained for a long time depends largely on people's sense of use.

And adding an idea about the future, all conflicts will end when awareness and solidarity increase, there is no longer jealousy and competition between individuals, groups, regions, planets, galaxies, ... 1276  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The world economy and global systemic terrorism. on: October 26, 2023, 01:09:28 PM
(...)The real question is: how much of an impact does terrorism in the modern world have on the economy?  The economy of countries and regions, as well as the global world economy?  And what are the ways of solving and preempting such methods of "economic struggle"?
It reminded me of a book about a new world order, and war was almost something that had to happen to resolve a tension. The easiest way to control is the control of finance, energy, core technology,... competitive races in all different professions. Almost everyone wants to be the best, so conflicts arise. Conflict appears as a way to cause damage as well as reset. Looking back a bit at history in different regions, war inherently exists everywhere because of unresolved conflicts, especially in this era when we have inherited modern scientific technology incentives, as well as modern weapons and equipment to solve the problem.

1277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a career with bitcoin? on: October 26, 2023, 12:54:25 PM
Of course, the opportunity from bitcoin is unquestionable for us, but from the OP's story, I think we need to gain more knowledge to strengthen our faith in the future.
In addition, if you have a broader view of investment, it is not simply a transaction between money, because in addition we need to invest in many other things in this environment such as knowledge, time, spirit, health,... I really admire those who have earned a lot of bitcoin without having to spend money to buy it directly, there are many different ways to access the good future of bitcoin and around it.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 26, 2023, 12:44:47 PM
(...)How about you guys, are you having a good fortune on your gambling career? Do you ever think of quitting after you won a jackpot?
Yes, I can mention the level of luck here, and I also want to share this about my personal case: many years ago I also bought the lottery, and fortunately I won twice, But the bonus is not too big because it is based on the ratio of the special prize you bet on the last pair of numbers. With a 100x rate, I only bought $1 each time I won.
I know it's really luck because I know this game quite well since my grandfather often participated, but the level of winning is almost impossible, and indeed that brings a feeling of excitement, at that time. These were times when I didn't have much work to earn income, so it was an important amount of money at that time.
1279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most weird thing you bought with crypto? on: October 26, 2023, 08:47:29 AM
In the area where I live, people don't understand much about cryptocurrency or bitcoin, so it's difficult for anyone to accept trading it through goods or other physical products. But in the past, I also remember selling all my Bitcoins just to buy a sewing machine, and sadly, if I had that amount of Bitcoin now, I could have opened a sewing machine shop Smiley . There are a lot of things that sometimes, looking back, really make me laugh.

But actually using money for strange things is something I often do, if in the future bitcoin becomes popular and there are many willing to accept transactions to it. And then I was able to come up with this, paying Bitcoin for packs of cigarettes. But this habit is harmful to health, I hope everyone does not fall into it.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Noticeable New altcoins that launched in 2022 and 2023 on: October 26, 2023, 08:38:17 AM
Arbitrum is really good, but next to it its direct competitor Optimism is also very impressive. Both remind me of a competition in another technology field between Windows and Linux.
- Similar to Window's development focus on optimizing different products, Arbitrum makes me imagine the direction they are pursuing in terms of developing everything of a complete ecosystem with full fields that can be approached near.
- With Optimism, it gives the feeling that anyone can easily create a new L2 based on its core, just like Linux where everyone can deploy their own operating system.
