481  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US presidency for sale, offers from 300 million? on: January 14, 2024, 09:54:16 AM
(...)What are your thoughts of this? Would it be easy for a foreign government to get a candidate that, lets say, would be keen on given then ample preferential treatment and let them go wild on a neighbour country for example?
It's not strange because in some areas political manipulation through money, I don't want to talk about dominated countries, but with big countries/underworld forces they still do it to be able to influence them. enjoy and obtain their rights and goals. It was difficult for me to understand the victories of some wars on some territories, and there were compromises, and the governments that were built behind them always had support from some source.

Not only the story about Trump, last season I also saw a lot of controversies and truths/news being spread like media manipulation, like the choice was pre-arranged and the actors were forced to act properly.
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 14, 2024, 09:39:24 AM
My father is a gambler in my family, but I never really advised him to stop gambling. Perhaps witnessing those things since I was a child made me realize that I am the one causing the problem and there is nothing that causes us to change. I have also seen creditors come to my house, but tragic situations appeared, but honestly, I find these things quite normal. I don't want to advise because I understand it's useless, I just secretly wish them one day to be aware of their responsibilities in life, and they're not bad for presenting an image for everyone to see nuances in life.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ASC-20 ecosystem tokens surpass BRC-20? on: January 14, 2024, 12:15:01 AM
Like many of the hypes that have appeared in this space, they are meaningless but create value to pump/dump and people can apply to profit/loss.

I find it funny that comparing these things to each other, I first see the BRC20 appearing as a redundancy, because that is not the direction bitcoin needs to go. But hype and FOMO still cause many people to mistakenly believe in opportunistic trends, looking at the process after they have little applicability. As for the altcoin story, there is no escaping the FOMO situation that users and developers themselves enjoy together.
484  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons for personal financial accountability? on: January 14, 2024, 12:05:25 AM
First is to the individual, but followed by responsibility to the community. Think about people with better positions in society, they are always the ones who contribute with great responsibility. I see that for individuals, adapting in life is not a difficult story, if we make efforts, opportunities always exist. Maybe some situations in life seem challenging to many people, but if you think positively, relationships in society do not seem to exist by accident.

While each person is aware of their own responsibility, I believe we are all aware that we are one, a group living on the same planet. Going back to the story of financial responsibility, because it is also an issue where there are no common standards, each individual has their own life and they need to perfect it, so sometimes prejudice or judgment from the outside world makes each person unaware of what responsibilities they need to do.
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you can benefit from investing in Bitcoin on: January 13, 2024, 11:56:56 PM
One thing that I find important that the OP may be forgetting is the opportunity to make a profit on the investment.

I know the benefits can be understood in other ways, but frankly speaking, the journey to know bitcoin has brought me quite a lot of technological and economic knowledge. And there is no obvious place to freely share these things other than in the crypto space.

(2) -  I see that perhaps many people come to bitcoin and stay with it for a long time because of that.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to farm airdrops on crypto? on: January 13, 2024, 11:49:28 PM
I want to be more clear about some forms of spending money and some forms being free.

But in general, most of the projects that are considered potential airdrops for the community now have criteria that most of us only speculate about, and indeed, in your opinion, they are quite enough for everyone to meet many criteria.
That's true, most of the airdrops before are for free but this time, I guess that change is truly constant because these projects are also requiring the airdroppers to do some tasks and that's become a common thing nowadays. That's the reason why I am actually looking for airdrops that are for free without these much tasks but that's also the basis on how much you'll get if you contribute to their bridge, liquidity, etc. Well, it became a standard now.
Perhaps some events from projects like OP, ARB,... have attracted a lot of attention and directed users to search for opportunities through similar criteria. I can feel that the projects behind it like L0, zksync, starknet, Linea, BASE, Blast,... are having a lot of active people. And it is also important to understand that competition, as well as more difficult criteria. But it's easy to speculate the big reward is the reason for the extra attention.

Although I don't pay much attention to free airdrops, I have to admit that during the bull cycle there are a lot of these, most of which come from social interaction tasks. But it must also be said that this type of airdrop space is quite garbage, and is often sh*tcoins, which may be a quality project that also exists but only encourages small rewards to users. Most recently I've been following $MEME farming, and when it comes to harvest, verification by spending still takes place to apply, but nonetheless airdropping everything is both easy and competitive.
487  Other / Politics & Society / Re: pretend dead in real life on: January 13, 2024, 11:39:19 PM
Hey OP, I don't understand what your feelings are about this life, but the negativity is present in the message you are conveying. Do you actually understand what death is?

Remember one thing, your parents never expected you to have such thoughts about life. Maybe your current life situation is facing a lot of pressure, but don't feel like that and give up. Because somewhere else on this earth, there are many people whose lives are more miserable than yours and they still have to continue to survive and adapt to this life. You have the ability that's why you're here, and don't waste it by trying harder to solve the problems at hand.

I also went through difficult times in life, and after that process I realized that challenges are for us to overcome, not for challenges to engulf life. So hopefully you can feel the positivity in life without trying harder, wishing you good luck on your upcoming journey.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: January 13, 2024, 09:54:24 PM
I can feel the OP's kindness and the message is quite clear to gamblers, indeed, we can easily get sucked into games if we don't understand them from the beginning. I have also expressed my opinion a lot to my friends about gambling, but most of them do not consider gambling fun, they like to make easy money, and just like how it works, it is very easy (easy to lose money). Being responsible while playing for those who can control their emotions has helped them minimize risks, and the story of addicted gamblers is that they are very difficult to correct if they really have to stop play time to review everything. I once witnessed a friend borrow a lot of money, and when they went into hiding because they couldn't repay the debt, they realized that they were the ones who put themselves in an awkward situation.
489  Economy / Economics / Re: What did elon do wrong in Twitter on: January 13, 2024, 09:43:09 PM
I could forgive Elon Musk for almost anything he was doing with Twitter but changing its name and logo? That I can't forgive. I mean that hideous X instead of the iconic cute little bird!
It's also interesting, "X" is a simple and mysterious symbol, so the name and image are not too much of a problem, we all see Elon's very unpredictable personality, he likes to experiment a lot. and thinking is always unpredictable.

Since X has policies that I think are quite harsh on users who have only been spamming before, it has helped somewhat bring about a cleaner environment in space. I remember when X paid for my area with subscribers to share revenue with the platform, most of the news was sweet and positive, what a marketing process, and indirectly create jobs. But there are still many problems that I feel like the fraud problem cannot be completely solved, but I can't blame Elon because he still has too much work to do, I also see some moves that he is making starting to get interested in crypto Smiley .
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold than trade. Just don't use leverage, futures. on: January 13, 2024, 09:34:06 PM
The truth is that many people only look at getting money quickly and forget the basics in the market, if you don't hold, nothing belongs to you.

Using leverage is probably not suitable for basic users, because they easily make a lot of capital management mistakes and are also prone to following a certain trend. I am active in a few TG groups, most of the members only discuss the topic of long/short on futures contracts. And usually I see them criticizing CEX, some influencers, regulatory agencies, countries,... for price manipulation that led to trading orders being liquidated. That's still a personal mistake, understand that you're always on the wrong side because you lack the knowledge to get into the quagmire of those who create it.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does the CHIA (XCH) coin still have growth potential? on: January 13, 2024, 09:27:17 PM
-snip-
If you wanna make money in crypto then you should go with the times.  I also once thought privacy was going to be a huge thing in crypto and also thought everything was going to make a shift towards XMR.  But I was wrong.  No one really cares about privacy anymore.
(...)

I just agree with adapting to change. And as for privacy, it's still an area where there will be a fair amount of attention. Maybe each stage has different directions that cause some things to be labeled negatively. I'm not sure when there will be a return, but there will be issues where users feel like they're being monitored and redirects happen, which is inherently not something that's completely responsive and, as you mentioned from the beginning "If you want to make money in crypto then you should go with the times" .
492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 13, 2024, 09:16:27 PM
I heard from a friend before the match that this is "the great oil war" Smiley

Man City vs NEWCASTLE brought a very exciting and emotional match, I was looking forward to De Bruyne's return. He brought pressure to the midfield extremely effectively. Actually, after equalizing 2 - 2, I was really expecting that Man City would come back, and in the injury time of the second half, he made his mark with a great assist. This was a good match, and with De Bruyne's great assist, perhaps the rest of the tournament will see Man City's strength increase a lot.

I also quite like staking ATOM, because it brings quite clear airdrop benefits, along with the dynamism of L2, there are also many choices to be made and hopefully receive airdrops in the near future.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your predictions for the state of Bitcoin in 2024? on: January 13, 2024, 05:00:44 PM
Since 2022, the value of Bitcoin has begun to fall. Following that, 2023 was a much worse year; in late 2003, a new version of Bitcoin was released. Furthermore, the market is gradually improving and stabilising. By 2024, we expect a slow recovery from our Bitcoin downturn. In the near future, it will also bring us good news. Things will get better with time. Do you think Bitcoin will be superior by 2024? Please share your thoughts.
Ignoring the mistakes the OP mentioned, I think you need to be more serious before giving out any information.

And 2024 speculation is abound, you can also see a lot of speculation on social media. Mostly I see optimism following the approval of the Bitcoin ETF, and the perception that we will soon see stronger price increases. Although I am also very optimistic, I probably still maintain the view that after the halving, the bullish cycle will really occur, and the volatility will be around $20000 - $65000.

Anyway, everyone has their own strategy and access to price speculation to make their own choices. Looking at the long term, there is no doubt that if everything is guaranteed, bitcoin will always bring profit.
495  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A new front of conflict China-Taiwan on: January 13, 2024, 04:51:19 PM
I do keep feeling like OP's entire argument is completely wrong with what's going on.

China is still very strong and really, don't be fooled by the spread of unverified information. But in recent years, it is not uncommon for China to express its intention to annex Taiwan. I think at some point they will act without paying attention to the objections of other countries. I know of some discussions that maybe 2024 will be a volatile year with the political situation around the world, military hot spots still seem to show no signs of cooling down, there are also many possibilities China will not ignore the intention to annex Taiwan.
496  Economy / Economics / Re: Vitalik Buterin's Financial Advice on: January 13, 2024, 04:39:35 PM
Quote
* Save. Get to the point where you have enough to cover multiple years of expenses. Financial safety is freedom.
* Don't use >2x leverage. Just don't.

I find these convincing that planning and investing is a process full of experience.

For those who have gone through it, they truly feel the risk/safety in any field, perfection is not absolute and the unpredictable is always present. I know that many people are overusing leverage causing the liquidation rate to be very high, a game where the creators know that the thresholds easily weed out those lacking knowledge with it. Anyway, no one can help you with personal investment, experience everything yourself to achieve the goal you have built.
497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the view of an average citizen About crypto currencies on: January 13, 2024, 04:32:55 PM
Does anyone know which person/team/country/earth/universe/... determines the future of bitcoin?

The truth is that I see bitcoin differently from the rest in that value is built with trust (as of now), indeed positive/negative thoughts always exist and the future story just lets everyone adapt naturally. And the newness of Bitcoin creates volatility which is also an opportunity for us to see and take advantage of it, I'm not too sure about the short/long term but from what I have experienced it is true accept/really grateful for bitcoin.

498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a means to an end, Do it for fun and don't take it as a job on: January 12, 2024, 10:28:35 PM
Such people are helping bookies get richer, simply because they think gambling is an opportunity to make money because they don't really understand gambling. Ease of use does not mean ease of control, or more accurately, it is like a trap for prey to fall into.
Anyway, if from the beginning everyone has an interest in learning about any field, then the experience process will greatly reduce the number of addicts. I'm also a player aiming for comfort and fun, so I'm not stubborn about the idea that it brings income. Anyone who wants to do so should do so, as long as they behave responsibly and family.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WEWECOIN, ONE $WEWE TO RULE THEM ALL on: January 12, 2024, 10:08:59 PM
wewecoin(dot)net, everything is copied from $MEME, please don't promote these things and label them as opportunities.

You guys just do stupid things like plagiarize products, and attract attention from people who like myths (including yourselves).

Remember this "don't SCAM anyone"
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to Spot and Avoid Altcoin Scams in 2024: A Comprehensive Guide on: January 12, 2024, 09:57:41 PM
Starting from "greed", it motivates people to look for new opportunities without forgetting the training process, and in the crypto space where we witness many tricks to entice people to participate some project to easily become a millionaire, or simply change their financial position. I always believe in fairness, if you try hard you will get worthy results, the motivation for people not to stumble is to accept the reality that everything is not as easy as anyone's empty words. Feel for yourself with the most basic level of knowledge, and stay in contact long enough to learn how the cash flow operates in this market. Its scale is not too complicated, it's just that we can easily manipulate it because of what I said from the beginning "greed".

The change causes many tricks to appear in more sophisticated ways, disguised with economic and technological jargon to deceive users. Warnings also appear a lot, some people will listen but some people will ignore it. We are entering the period of the price increase cycle, it is better to equip yourself with skills in technology, economics,... to avoid depending on anyone, even your own mistakes. You should see it as a lesson to grow up. I know that in the coming period when developers are more active, there will be many other dirty games created, but that is inevitable because in any space there will always be a positive/negative problem. Please protect yourself against those impacts.
