681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: biggest misconception about Cryptocurrency? on: December 27, 2023, 10:57:49 AM
What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about cryptocurrencies, and how would you clarify it?
Since coming to bitcoin (crypto), I have to admit that I myself have had misunderstandings with it from the early days, like:

- Bitcoin fuels criminal activity (money laundering, payment of banned substances,...)
- Bitcoin is a multi-level Ponzi scheme.

...
But in general, it is all an assessment based on a limited understanding of Bitcoin, all positive/negative issues associated with it are. All by ourselves. For example, the story of promoting crime Smiley Yep, if there was no Bitcoin, crime would still exist and people just like to exaggerate the problem to say that it is risky for many people. I once raised the issue that $ is also a much bigger tool that criminals use. And the core issue is that people use it for their own purposes. Every tool can bring different aspects to serve us.

I also have many friends who are exposed to bitcoin, but sharing the same knowledge with it to express is really rare. With this forum, I learn more than external things (personal opinion). Actually, I used to think a lot about bringing accurate information about Bitcoin for people around me to understand, but after many processes, I realized that I should let them find out for themselves the way they are learning everything in life. There is no need to impose anything, we can know whether it is good/bad for anyone.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: December 26, 2023, 07:22:06 PM
When I inquired from the attendant, she said he was a regular customer and that he usually raised money for gambling through the manual jobs he does around the area. She also told me that he has never misbehaved and acted violently in the gambling house so she was comfortable with him.
Maybe this was a misunderstanding from the OP's observant eyes that led to this topic, but I can agree that about mentally unstable people (people with mental illness, crazy,...) they can harm themselves and those around them, and it is best to create their own entertainment space that may involve gambling.

But imo, people's appearance is not a measure, but most of us rely on it to judge someone's wealth/poorness or, as OP observes here, their state of being god, but I can speculate that the case here is that the man in the story did not have much money and perhaps gambling was the only way he knew of to generate income, but ironically it was like a trap, hopefully he's not a gambling addict either.
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if DEXs are banned in the future? on: December 26, 2023, 07:08:32 PM
I don't think the imposition is always enforced, and with DEX it would be a joke if some side wanted to ban this Smiley , I don't think there is a convincing enough reason for the issue to be considered the original essence of the blockchain field - its decentralization.

But I can throw out some ideas about them banning it by arresting the DEX operators, and doing something to make it stop working. However, in this crypto space, we have a lot of decentralization, it's like someone picking a flower in a forest of flowers, so this problem is not scary, but more about crypto is increasingly accepted, supporting development in a harmonious way rather than in a negative direction.
684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have You Accomplished What Brought You to Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2023, 01:31:27 PM
There was no goal, at first it was just curiosity and when I learned about it I realized countless interesting things that I was still looking for. Actually, with bitcoin (crypto) I can see it as gratitude, because I learned a lot of things that no other place I came into contact with in life gave me a clearer view of the nature of many fields.
I also know a lot of friends in this field. It can be said that issues such as financial goals or technology solutions are no longer a top priority for me when talking about bitcoin, but behind them. Those are values that are more related to knowledge.
685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ordinance (ORDI) a good altcoin to invest? on: December 26, 2023, 12:43:56 PM
Checking on binace, ORDI has been in the list of top gainers for long. The last time I saw it, the price was something like $32 but today the price is now $74 with %40 growth in coinmarketcap and it hasn't show any sign of giving up. So i started thinking that is ORDI a good project to invest this bull season?

What do you guys think about it?

Most of us only pay attention when it increases sharply Smiley ,

I also bought some ORDI at around $5 when the market was not as excited with many altcoins as it is now, even though I took profits and only kept a little with But honestly, for those who are FOMO, if you can accept the risks, just take action. This market has many opportunities and many potential risks, when something causes an increase in price, people will pay attention to it and the surrounding things, and at a certain state, those who come early will have the opportunity to liquidate, although in the short or long term the patience factor will still determine the goal but will also include risks. I don't like to talk too much about opportunities and forget about risks, so consider carefully and make appropriate decisions.
686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is you who can't stop betting. on: December 26, 2023, 12:37:19 PM
(...)Why because they can't control themselves, even when they are not an addicted gambler?
What do we have to say about this?
People do what they want, and their responsibility follows that desired behavior. So there's no good reason to do anything without responsibility. I'm also a gambler, but not to the extent of being into it. I'm conscious of finding small joys through this field, And it fits perfectly. It would be unreasonable if we kept imposing our personal opinions on others, saying that what they do makes you uncomfortable Smiley. Similar to many other things in life, we cannot force a person who does not have the habit of reading books to give up the daily pleasure of watching TikTok and switch to reading books in search of knowledge, which is inherently a difficult life. In different contexts, we experience things in opposite ways, but it's okay, just do what you feel is right, even if you don't think about responsibility, you will have to bear the consequences. It is like a fairness present in life.
687  Economy / Economics / Re: Will they ever be able to afford a house? on: December 25, 2023, 01:11:41 PM
I think this point of comparison is quite imposing when they are clearly different, "past and future" Shocked ,

but we are on a journey of faster development, and the difficulties that are a bit imposing, I think do not completely reflect what is happening. I don't know what people are like in the local area, but in the area where I live, real estate prices are increasing compared to the local currency, but that's not a problem because personal income is also increasing, perhaps partly. I live in a developing country so the current generation can access many jobs where they can have enough money to own land or build spacious houses. I'm not sure what everyone's housing and land standards are, but I see that in every period there are problems for that generation. If hard work is not rewarded, that is not the nature of generation life (fairness exists).
688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are airdrops allowed? on: December 25, 2023, 12:58:06 PM
I have a telegram channel where share information about airdrop and I was thinking if I could also share them in this platform, I was thinking of doing it in my country’s language place but I do not know if the master’s of the forum will allow it or not.

As long as you don't share things with bad intentions, try to research quality things.

And remember that you can also get into trouble if you spread poor quality projects and even scam projects, which will lead to you being blocked if you intentionally share or have no warning about changes related to the project you share.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where TO Find Quality Air Drops on: December 25, 2023, 12:16:03 PM
Can I know where I can find quality airdrops? I started doing airdrops but No idea whether they are scams or not. And also I have a question regarding tweeter tasks of the airdrops, they say to like their twitter page and retweet. but There are two options when it comes to retweet, "Repost" and ''Quote"
what should I do? retweet or quote? please answer
Imo, this form is very ineffective so you can expect quality projects, and the rewards are also very small. Currently, there are many marketing approaches to the crypto airdrop and bounty markets that seem to be old and are gradually shifting to ecosystem activities such as testnet, retroactive, zealy, galxe,...

But to be honest with you, don't listen to anyone telling you that this job offers great opportunities if you don't spend a lot of time on them. It's not the way it works that many people take advantage of to attract compatible work. You can also imagine that if you contact 100 projects, you will receive about 1-2 projects that have quality rewards, so if you are serious about research ability, you will have to trade a lot of time and money, if you want to work towards a job related to this field.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Too Expensive For Me. on: December 25, 2023, 12:05:45 PM
The value of Bitcoin has gradually reached great heights. It has become impossible for a new small investor like me to invest in Bitcoin. I am a very small investor. $2k wealth is mine. Well does Bitcoin provide any opportunity in future that I can invest.

With $2000, are you really serious about investing, and Do you have any plans for it?

I know many people are hesitant because they want to own more numbers in their account than the value of the investment. Balancing risk/return on investment helps us reshape our position. I agree that altcoins can bring quick and profitable profits but at the same time cause assets to evaporate quickly. The main problem is investment asset management. For people with large assets they do not like much risk. So from a personal perspective, I can understand why the OP thinks it's not suitable, but remember at some point when you have a larger investment your thinking will prioritize bitcoin, it's like a game loop of accepting decisions to achieve a goal.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 25, 2023, 11:57:43 AM
Yep, we have come a long way this season and our candidacy for the championship position is gradually becoming clearer, this season has been impressive for Liver with dramatic performances as well as enthusiasm. Arsenal's stability at the present time. Although we still have many matches ahead.
I think this year's race only belongs to Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City as Mourinho shared his opinion. At the moment, I think Man City may miss some points, but they are still in good shape, and also just got a new cup to improve their achievements.

Just a single loss so far and overall good balance between goals scored and goals conceded. I am not sure if I have the wrong impression, but I feel like Liverpool conceded a goal too often too early in the game. I think I was surprised some time the last weeks that they often are behind early in the game. A Google search seems to confirm that, but I haven't looked into the details. The strongest Liverpool I have seen like a few years ago usually took control over the game from the first minute onwards. It was quite demoralizing to play against them. That's what they can still improve this season. To not give the opponent the idea that they have a chance.

I've been watching Liver's matches this season, even though I'm not a fan, the feeling of watching them play is very exciting, the level of drama in each match, and what I always feel is that Liver is real. will destroy any team in the final minutes of the match to get 3 points. It seems like their style of approaching matches is gradually changing, no longer retaining the philosophy of total dominance but instead applying pressure when they are really forced into difficult situations, the results of matches. Recently, they have all shown high professional quality, and this season I really believe they deserve to be strong candidates for the championship title.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 24, 2023, 05:00:59 AM
Just as I predicted, Liverpool 1-1 Arsenal: Dramatic score split.
Liverpool was the team that organized the first pressing attack, but away team Arsenal suddenly had a goal to take the lead very early after a dangerous header from midfielder Gabriel in the 4th minute of the match. After midfielder Gabriel's dangerous header in the 4th minute of the game. Taking an early lead, host Liverpool still retained a point at Anfield when Mohamed Salah scored to equalize 1-1. Arsenal have failed to win the league on the last five occasions, with them being top-flight leaders on Christmas Day. Hopefully, this season is an exception because they deserve to win the championship.
We are witnessing a rather dramatic chase for the top spot. And last season's defending champion, Man City, was left in 5th place with a significant point gap.

693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between Physical and Online Gambling which makes a person more addicted on: December 24, 2023, 04:50:25 AM
I think this topic has been discussed many times before, but imo, gambling addiction exists both online/offline, so there's no need to differentiate too much about which is the most influential thing. As far as I know, when addicted to gambling, the addict will play on every service they can access. The scale of each service will also attract its own audience. But by nature, gambling addicts will not be much aware of what is wrong with gambling, and even if they know it, it is too late according to their logic to do anything again. I have also witnessed many promises to stop gambling addiction, but perhaps there is a lack of care from family and society, and the problem is that gambling addicts themselves are more to blame. Pitiful for those who express the attitude of "not accepting the explanation of a gambling addict".
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don’t think bitcoin is now decentralized on: December 24, 2023, 04:41:12 AM
About 20+ days ago ,I sent a transaction with 5000sats fee.

20+ !

It hasn’t been confirmed yet!

Ok to pay more ,confirmed faster.

But isn’t it ok for pay less confirm slower?

The miners are too centralized, and a lot of dust trans was made every day.

From A to A with high fee rate! Why does this transaction exist?

I don’t think a normal man would make such a nonsense transaction.
So what do you think is decentralization? Bitcoin does not exist just to serve you, you should understand that first and are you willing to learn more about transactions that you are not willing to pay more fees to speed up? I've seen the "fee" issue brought up a lot recently and people keep blaming it for being expensive and slow... Let's better understand the appeal of bitcoin that many people are still willing and trusting in it. I have no intention of using bitcoin in all daily activities at the moment, but these problems will be solved if acceptance becomes more widespread. That in itself is decentralization, so if you can't accept it then you are probably moving towards centralization.
695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dascoin Big Scam on: December 24, 2023, 04:33:09 AM
you feel cheated because of your own stupidity, even though everyone knows that there will be no altcoin that will be equivalent to bitcoin. I still wonder why there are still people who are fooled by such lies. This is like the PI coin case, PI coin influencers say that PI coin will beat bitcoin  Grin Grin Grin
It is not necessary to express harsh opinions on the mistakes of others, it is also a lesson for many people about seriously researching the field in which they intend to find opportunities. I know that it is easy for new people to be psychologically manipulated with empty words, greed makes us easily lose our sanity, and it seems that most of us are stuck in it, just whether challenges come later or later, stumbling and overcoming them helps us grow more. As you mentioned PI, it is really exposing the face of Ponzi with myths that make many people laugh. After all, it is fairness in all fields and those mistakes are the responsibility of the individual must take responsibility for their own actions.
696  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your take on this? on: December 24, 2023, 04:24:48 AM
Change and being forced to accept the general trend if you don't want to be left behind, although in the past this caused some negative reactions with local users, I believe we all understand those legal issues. Although it's not always convenient when the perspective on benefits is always really complicated. Anyway, this time we have seen another positive thing that is beneficial for this sector. Although I can express that no one can ban it if we still want to use it, restrictions only increase the niches, but this can be seen as Nigeria becoming a pioneer in the continent's digital economic landscape. I can sense a significant change in the governments of many countries taking a positive and serious look at the Blockchain field, even though I also live in a place where this field is quite complex but have heard of the government encouraging it.
697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celestia (TIA) - The future of modular blockchains? on: December 24, 2023, 04:14:06 AM
I'm not sure if it's too FOMO right now, but honestly TIA is leading the trend of modular blockchains. Solutions to exploit problems that have existed for a long time in the crypto space are mentioned a lot, but it is rare to see projects capable of turning it into a force in the market. I'm also aware of the "monolithic blockchain" debate, but instead of keeping a competitive mindset and comparing which one is better, we should keep the mindset that this is an inevitable transition that will help blockchain reach its destination the massadoption era.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 24, 2023, 03:51:27 AM
The terms and conditions of casinos and other companies is usually very lengthy and somehow boring for some people. Hence , many people rarely find time to read them. They may actually contain some of the complaints that people raise about some casinos such requiring KYC if there is need or suspicion of money laundering activities.

What is your take on this?
Most of us use them without paying much attention to those regulations, and I personally find it unnecessary when players and services have to be forced into things that are probably only beneficial to the service before legal issues. Some things still exist, such as coercion and if I have a defense point of view, I can also agree with that, but only a small part, but it is not too important if we want to use a service, there's nothing stopping it. But anyway, I do not encourage behavior that violates the law, because nowadays, the gambling industry is so popular and choosing any service is really like buying shirts at the market.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 23, 2023, 08:44:11 PM
Although there were not too many goals, the match between Arsenal vs Liverpool had great quality, quite thrilling from start to finish, perhaps the 1-1 result was worthy for both, although sometimes I feel like Arsenal is a little better and they can win, but this is also a result where Arsenal will still keep the top 1. With the result between Mu vs West Ham Smiley I'm actually quite sleepy with the playing style of both, perhaps part of it is also West Ham's playing style and Mu also doesn't have good strength to be able to prove it. something. The victory for West Ham was very convincing because they were the team that took full advantage of the opportunities. However, this was a rather sleepy and chill match. Sometimes I even saw birds walking freely on the field.
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good or bad way to avoid high transaction fee? on: December 23, 2023, 01:24:25 PM
Its nature is just an altcoin and not bitcoin, on any chain to encourage users to use it at low cost is just a way to deceive them.

And it's not the original Bitcoin, I don't really care about having to pay a transaction fee if i use bitcoin, or if it's simpler, people like and don't like to spend fees, so why keep looking for ibitcoin? Smiley , my personal opinion is that we accept bitcoin, not that bitcoin accepts us.
