1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: November 12, 2023, 02:35:27 AM
Age is not an issue in gambling, but simply our responsibility when playing it. I personally encourage anyone to seek out gambling as a means of pure entertainment, and even in my own family, even though there are older gamblers, I do not want them to change as long as they are conscious of their actions with gambling.

I often encounter some old men over 70 years old at offline lottery shops, where we discuss the probability of numbers. The atmosphere is fun and stress free. I myself do not guarantee that when I get old I will stop playing, but I have always been clear about my actions with gambling and do not want to exceed the limit and cause bad situations for myself.
Well, thank you for your advice, but at a certain age, there are some things that are to be engaged with extreme care, or perhaps avoided them. Of course, gambling is entertaining, that's what I play it mostly for, but can most people say the same thing? What if these people now gamble till they are old and keep losing? As we get older, there are things we leave for the world, this is particularly for those people who have various health challenges that could be aggravated by their mental state. If anyone would continue to gamble at the old stage, they should be super responsible about it as you said but if possible they should abstain when they know their mind state is too weak for it.

Also, it would be fine if the old person didn't have a history of addiction, if not, this is another issue and another reason why the general advice that "age is not a barrier when gambling" is not a good one. If old people who are novices heed this advice, it might be the time of their retirement and idleness that they would become addicted to gambling and lose all at that painful age.
Life simply has many different nuances, so one person's standards don't mean they apply to everyone. There will be people addicted to gambling who encounter scandalous situations in life. Personally, for me, they are people who are in love rather than having to suffer condemnation from society. And they are also concrete examples of the harmful effects of gambling addiction. If gambling were a place that people only viewed as entertainment and not as a tool to make money, I think society would not face the risks of negativity in gambling.

Anyway, no one forces us to play, or stop gambling, but we need to be conscious of it. Even a professional player needs a lot of skills to be able to make a profit in this field, and we all understand that only a few see the formula for success. Relax more as you get older, and the gambling muscle will not be the place to be harmed, but the main issue is still what the player will do with it.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a gambler be a good bitcoin trader? on: November 11, 2023, 09:31:35 PM
(...)So if a gambler where to go into bitcoin trading, do you think that the experience of taking risk in gambling will be an added advantage to face the risk of bitcoin trading?
No one succeeds without experiencing failures, and in any field, knowledge and experience give them the right results that they can apply.

I know a number of professional gamblers whose analysis I consider to be the difference in helping them succeed at it. And similarly, bitcoin trading also requires a lot of different skills.

It may or may not have an interactive relationship, but the key point is still the application of acquired knowledge in each specific field.
1003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Govt Conspiring Via FTX ??? on: November 11, 2023, 09:25:25 PM
What do people hope for, something that has deceived us?

The opportunity for them to start over again, SBF that causes all of the above problems still receives a specific judgment. And with the recent price increase, any news released can easily make many people have the feeling of returning to it, but honestly, forget it because this space has many other options to choose from. It's been a long time since their own collapse, I don't care about the price increases it created, the pump/dump game stimulates those who like to take risks. And of course, those who have their own views and positions will easily forget mistakes when making profits, but those who lose money will continue to make mistakes.
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think Staking is the Perfect Passive Income Strategy in a Bull Market? on: November 11, 2023, 09:10:31 PM
So I believe staking stands out as a smart strategy for passive income in this bull market, especially since it allows you to leverage your staked tokens effectively. But, does this make it the perfect passive income for you?

For me, staking during a bull run has been akin to hitting two birds with one stone as enjoying the rewards from staking and potentially benefiting from the rising value of the staked assets. This dual advantage has made it a successful strategy in my experience. More than just a means to earn, staking has also been a way for me to engage with and contribute to the growth and innovation of blockchain technology.

So what do you think guys? Is staking the perfect passive income strategy for the bull market, or are there nuances we should consider?
It does not guarantee that your assets are completely safe because there will still be risks, when no one is sure that any event will occur and cause serious losses.

Staking, or similar mortgage loans with or without conditions always come with different risks/returns, but if we have accepted them from the beginning, that also needs to be made clearer. I know that in a bullish market we can easily spend generously and make money easily through many different forms, but everything is only serious when the problem is as risky as those things. Like a few cases in the past from the XRP story, but anyone who falls into that situation will realize that nothing is absolutely safe in investment.
1005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcin does not support financial crimes and is not involve in political affairs on: November 11, 2023, 09:02:30 PM
Selfish people often find every reason and justification for their own wrongdoing, similarly Bitcoin will also have its haters. It doesn't need to satisfy anyone's unreasonable desires anyway, even if they object to it more, the truth will never be killed, and the truth here is that people will accept Bitcoin more. Well, mentioning the word OP reminds me of another story about a pen, when the user has the right to use it for their own purposes, and when the murderer uses it as a weapon, will people conclude that? That pen is the culprit. The main issue is how responsible people are when using that tool.
1006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting online courses? on: November 11, 2023, 03:48:29 PM
I don't want to completely deny that there are some sources of knowledge that bring value not only in terms of experience, but in fact, there are also many things that are abused through the form of knowledge sharing, and there are also many people who were deceived. Just set a few criteria to apply and accumulate that nonsense, check the quality of that knowledge through people's feedback, and see the results that the person providing that knowledge gives them. Is it really experienced, or is it simply a copying or fabrication of views, as well as guidance on profit goals.
Usually, I pay more attention to risks and finding ways to overcome them than other people's ways of achieving success.
1007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting losses, Take a break and just focus on Bitcoin. on: November 11, 2023, 09:02:41 AM
Futures trading always has many potential risks because no matter which trading pair you choose or a place that is considered reputable, prices can easily be liquidated when the floor wants to manipulate the player's position.

I'm not sure what people who do careful chart analysis think about applying it to this market, sometimes I feel like those things are just sugarcoating the point of applying it to a place with low capitalization like crypto.

IMO, the trading floor always wins, just like the house always wins the gambler. So sometimes these things exist just as a way to lure investors into evaporating their money faster.
1008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and it's 4 Year-Cycle on: November 11, 2023, 03:34:05 AM
In the immediate future, we can completely trust the speculation about this cycle until it breaks. Although I also agree with this speculation, I do not believe that this can remain like this forever because it will become easy to predict and those who know about it will take full advantage of this opportunity.
Because I'm becoming more and more friendly with bitcoin, I think I will always accumulate more bitcoin because after the next 10 years, or even the next 20 years, what I have will simply be bitcoin with no tie to fiat.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: November 11, 2023, 03:26:29 AM
I think everyone old age should be free from the drama of gambling, the tension that gamblers face sometime can get to you especially if you are old and still gambling and just like you said mate, only an addicted person would be thinking so fundly of actually continuing his gambling habits even when old and going as far as  adding it to his retirement plans. I, for once am sure that wouldn't be my plan when I do get old instead going on a vacation as you have said would be the nicer way to spend your old age especially when you have lots of grand kids that need your attention  Grin

A lot of elderly people go gamble while on vacation. And let’s be realistic; there aren’t a lot of activities for elderly people to enjoy in their retirement or on vacation.
Also It’s not only an addicted person that would continue gambling till into his old age. And any person who gambles from a youthful age, dealing with the drama of gambling all this while and into his old age. Why would those tensions now get to him. On the contrary, these drama and tensions of gambling would not fade such a gambler as he has experienced it all.
Age is not an issue in gambling, but simply our responsibility when playing it. I personally encourage anyone to seek out gambling as a means of pure entertainment, and even in my own family, even though there are older gamblers, I do not want them to change as long as they are conscious of their actions with gambling.

1010  Economy / Economics / Re: Biting more than i can chew. How can i do better? on: November 11, 2023, 03:17:44 AM
I believe that you still have many good opportunities to develop yourself and achieve the goals you want. Perhaps your previous luck has run out, and your life has become unbalanced, causing you to pay the price for your current situation in your personal finances and social relationships. I always hope everyone will always be positive in life, and that the difficult things of the present should just be seen as a challenge to conquer. Moreover, in your case, you have certain skills that make it easy for you to start over from now on, it's just a matter of whether you accept to let go of everything that has passed and start a new journey. I myself am not very successful in life, but the value I seek is happiness, which I feel is created by myself and not dependent on anyone. Maybe our preconceived notions keep us stuck with material attachments when before you may have had plenty, but in reality, money should only be seen as a connecting tool.
1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After BlackRock ETF application, which layer 2 project will pump in sync? on: November 11, 2023, 03:05:22 AM
(...)Which one do you think from the above list is the best in terms of speed and fees? Which one do you think would pump in the bull run and why?
Personally, I think that L2 still has a fairly low capitalization, especially in the near future when we talk a lot about a new price increase cycle. The old problems will continue to repeat, and the way L2 operates can be seen as a solution effective application. Perhaps the competition for market share in this field will not be too intense when big names are gradually appearing and letting us know that it will be a place that many people are interested in. I personally quite like the way OP works, but if you look at the ecosystem, Arbitrum is bringing a more diverse place of products.
1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT and virtual real state project the biggest scam in past 3 years? on: November 11, 2023, 02:57:56 AM
Ironically, the NFT sector that many people were previously hyping has now left little more than a dumping ground in the crypto space, although some things are still in place and seen as forms of work verification. In reality, I also find this redundant.
Before that, in the period when people viewed it as a trend, the exaggeration of features could be applied to life, but it never showed its true value. I remember in the last bull cycle, there was a lot of money flowing into this sector, and that's part of the reason we saw so much crap being traded. I can imagine NFTs as an inapplicable trend that will continue to fade into memory in the crypto development journey, similar to the ICO boom of 2017 and everyone not paying much attention to it after that.
1013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hot take: Your crypto portfolio should have more than just Bitcoin. on: November 10, 2023, 09:28:30 PM
(...)What do you think?
Whether shortterm or longterm, I still have most of my faith in bitcoin, but of course it's not always all about bitcoin. But I feel that the OP's reasons are not convincing enough when investments are all about specific plans, not just lucky bets. The balance between risk/potential in investment is a decisive factor in the ability to complete the plan, and in the crypto market, we all know that Bitcoin is a more balanced product than anything else, with volatility creating excitement or gloom in the market, but the fact that bitcoin dominates almost everything in the market is what makes it indispensable for any crypto investment.

Maybe someone says that bitcoin is too expensive for them to buy and expects high price increases to take control, the element of greed from the starting point will lead them to other risky choices, and of course if they don't have enough skill + luck, they will only be tools in this market, and it is difficult to find any opportunities from Bitcoin.
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: November 10, 2023, 09:16:53 PM
And if they move to another platform, they will also experience the same thing, and they will say that those were their bad days in gambling. But if they move to another platform and can win, they will say that their luck was not at the first casino but at the second casino. They will continue gambling, but if they lose, they will still gamble at the second casino.
The statement you said reminds me of a user on this forum who said "when someone wins on one platform he will say the site is very good and fair but when someone loses on one of the sites he says the platform is an unfair scam."
But I don't remember the user's name but I'm sure he has commented on this topic and I really agree with the statement you said, actually this is just luck because even if you move or change sites repeatedly, if you are unlucky you will definitely keep losing, but if someone If you are lucky on one platform you will get a winning streak.
Switching to another platform for me would just be a waste of time.
The story is created by the users themselves in a way that is just for satisfaction, and from my perspective, people who think they are always right in a gambling environment are just a tool for those gambling games. There are all kinds of reasons for failure, and there are all kinds of reasons for success, and the element of luck is only on the surface when it comes to how we play a gambling game. Because it's not natural for us to win/lose (I don't mention it to those who play purely for entertainment, because they won't be too concerned about the results), we don't understand from the beginning what to do. That game controls the opposite, so even if you switch to any new game, you will get the same results. Only when the satisfaction is relieved will people stop their behavior.
1015  Economy / Economics / Re: World economy not so difficult to Understood simple way on: November 10, 2023, 09:08:48 PM
Economy is very important to excel any country. Now a days , Bitcoin market is crashed
and no one knows when this wave will grow up.Its time to buy Bitcoin because it's price will go to 50k Dollars. Printing of money does not control the price of Bitcoin. World Economy is controlled by super powers , Dollars impacts on every country's economy. Strength or Weakness of Dollar controls economy of World, Dollar is available in every country and USA can't fall Dollar value and Dollar price will go up in future days and that's why inflation will occur and no one stop this.Eastern countries are in trouble because there, the price of Dollar is very high and they can't meet their expenses.
Well, your point of view really made me reconsider what I understood about it,
- First, mentioning bitcoin, from what angle should I look at it in this situation? Investments, solutions, hidden notes,... if I just simplify the price story, I'm sure it affects the development of bitcoin in both the short and long term, simply because most of us need to convert it to fiat, a unit to help us connect easily in life at the present time.

- Next, we can look at the influence of the economy between countries and how it is operating, but I will call it a game. Do you think they have an organization behind it to operate? For an entire country without belonging to that country. Because the history of economic development is quite broad, I can only talk about the modern period when industrialization in many fields spread globally, and I know there are organizations that exist and manipulate the economy through many events that until now the masses have not known about. And $ or the United States is just a tool for these organizations to achieve their goals. This may be a rather sensitive issue, but it has actually been going on for decades.

Even with the current problem, the reconstruction of a new order in which we are shifting control over that economy, the Eastern region will probably break out very quickly, in your opinion $ dominates everything . But in fact, it is being separated from the game by other regions as an economic operating tool.
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex was hacked (Security Breach Discussion) on: November 10, 2023, 02:45:07 PM
Sources from Peckshield, Justin Sun's Poloniex exchange is suspected of being hacked. According to estimates, initial damages could exceed $114 million.

Justin Sun has confirmed that the Poloniex  was hacked and that they are investigating. To reassure users, Sun said the exchange has quite good financial potential and will refund the entire amount to affected users. At the same time, Sun also mentioned cooperating with other organizations or exchanges to prevent the flow of money and reduce the loss rate as much as possible. Poloniex currently states that its wallet has been disabled for maintenance and will update the information once the wallet is reactivated.

Topic Security Breach and Protection Layers. Do you think that Exchanges and DeFI need more development and investments here or is this just something we have to lay down our heads and deal with?
This is something we do not want to happen, but this problem will never stop, vulnerabilities are exploited and risks arise during use. But have no fear, as we are here to find what we hope it fulfills, this case will also be resolved and victims compensated for Poloniex's reputation. However, it is also a lesson for other users about managing their own assets.
1017  Economy / Economics / Re: Being rich = not looking at price tag on: November 10, 2023, 02:32:29 PM
I often read people saying they want to earn enough money so they don't have to look at price tag of product. Imo, even if you are rich you wouldn't want to spend money on things that are not worthy of price being paid.

You wanna look at product and then it's price, if it's worthy of price, you purchase the product.
I think that the richer you become, the more responsible you need to be to use the things you earn to help others. I don't want to spend money on things that I don't really understand in their true nature. Yes, there are many luxury items that I consider meaningless and that only cause waste. But that does not mean that its value depends on all recognition, it has its own object for that need, and when we no longer care about it, it does not affect its continued existence.

In some aspects of spending, perhaps many people do not understand that their behavior is programmed by someone, and they also do not understand whether owning those things really brings value to themselves. . Yes, competition for material things, and self-expression,... is part of the waste, even if someone has a lot of money, are they the ones who can buy the whole universe? Remember that the truth is that money (material) is just a tool that connects us together, bringing solidarity and love, not conflict, which from ancient times to the present has been easily overlooked and bound by many prejudices in society, and many people still blindly make money to serve their personal desires.

1018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What conditions might cause you to stop gambling? on: November 10, 2023, 02:21:22 PM
(...)But let's imagine, what kind of conditions might make you stop gambling?
In my case, I did not choose to give up. Or rather, play responsibly. I myself probably live in an environment where there are many people addicted to gambling, and people in my family are also addicted to gambling. But instead of blaming them or finding ways to make them stop, try to find out what makes them fall into that situation. And what I realized here is that in the environment they approach, when there are not many people knowledgeable enough about gambling, they can make all kinds of excuses, but the result is that it affects them directly in their lives and those around them. Only when the mistakes are big enough to cause financial loss or even a threat to their lives will they reconsider their behavior. Perhaps, due to the way the message is conveyed, the recipient will listen to this issue that is more harmful than helpful to life. It is possible to raise awareness about life and look for recreational activities to spend less time being exposed to gambling, as I learned.
1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $300 Million Crypto Scam in India. on: November 10, 2023, 05:42:13 AM
Fraud in crypto through the form of calling for investment is an unethical behavior, knowledgeable people take advantage of it and take advantage of people's trust, as well as evoking human greed.
But I also need to be fair here because from any angle, both the victim and the victim need their own punishment frames to be more of a warning. Popularizing awareness is necessary, but usually the churn of this market is very large, new people come in the short term, and they easily mistakenly think everything brings an opportunity to increase their assets. Only to collect money and realize that it is the price for a program to learn about knowledge and experience, everywhere there are good/bad people, and especially in today's age when information is spread on social networks easily accessible, so we need to be even more vigilant.
1020  Economy / Economics / Re: Honestly do we really got rugpulled in pandemic? on: November 10, 2023, 05:31:48 AM
But what can we do better than blame one side? I know the difficulties in many areas that have caused disruption to the seamless pattern that was previously practiced in society. Disease, war, poverty, pollution,... Yep, these things are not just happening, but they are happening with greater intensity. Maybe this is the main reason why I realize that this life is inherently nuanced but not good and needs a way to escape from that, and fortunately I have found a way to escape from those constraints.
Sometimes being unsatisfied in life is just a challenge for us all to improve together. Anything bad now helps us, facing it or avoiding it is a choice. Even the problems that have appeared in this market are considered very negative, but perhaps, looking with more open eyes, a bright future is still waiting for us.
