462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent have you hated yourself due to your gambling losses? on: February 02, 2024, 07:50:59 AM
(...)
So, let's share our worst gambling experiences, have you ever hated yourself so much due to lack of winnings in gambling? To what extent, and how did it end?

Do you still hate yourself even now?  Grin

I don't think about "hate" but I will admit my mistakes. But in the process of gambling, I learned to be responsible when playing, and there is nothing beyond my control to be upset with everything around me.

And honestly, I feel pretty lucky when I gamble, so not only was the experience good, but the results made me happy. But I have lost many times, and I still smile that this is simply a game and I am the one who controls it, not letting it control the other way around.

Most people lose control and feel uncomfortable when gambling, which puts them in difficult situations, so trying to stay alert is the most basic thing.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What price can XRP realistically reach this bull run? on: February 02, 2024, 07:33:24 AM
I first started buying XRP in June last year and did so in the hope it could reach $7-10 this coming bull run.

I am just wondering how many of us hold XRP and what realistic price target should be this bull run?

I am currently 7% up on my position and wondering if I should hold till peak of bull run next year or swap it soon for something else

I'll take a profit of around $5, but I'm not sure everything will go well. This is also a cryptocurrency that I am also interested in, but only a small part of it. In general, it will also benefit from the bull season, but don't expect too much because I think XRP also has a lot of instability. However, there is still a certain amount of optimism about it, but recent surrounding news makes I have the feeling it's a price manipulation tactic to accumulate elephants. The rest is waiting for everything to come, if you really have faith in it, be more patient and also convince yourself of your ability to target.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Claim $WEN airdrop if you are active on Solana on: January 30, 2024, 07:42:29 AM
Unclaimed amount (~271B $WEN) was burned successfully: https://twitter.com/wenwencoin/status/1752008920942428451

Unfortunately, burn didn't have any impact on price.

It must be admitted that Jupiter is very generous to give hundreds of millions of dollars to airdrop users, and things will not stop yet, perhaps this is just the beginning for the upcoming launch of JUP.
IMO, WEN has also brought an exciting atmosphere and the CEX plans seem to be gradually welcomed, they are actually nice airdrops.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's in Store for Crypto in the Coming Months? on: January 28, 2024, 08:11:02 AM
Op, also stated a point of view that I think is the same. Volatility is likely, as we get closer to events in the bitcoin space that will focus on the halving. There is no doubt that news will be spread to attract confidence, just as FUD will be spread to create suspicion. Although I don't care too much about the next few months about prices, because the amplitude I can feel fluctuates around 30%, so I'm ready for any scenario.

One thing I also see is that the attention to bitcoin is gradually returning more, as we start to discuss more about price and speculate about events in 2024 absolutely positive signs. It is extremely difficult to see large price increases, and as described every DIP is well received at this stage.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 28, 2024, 08:01:22 AM
A bad story of a gambling addict gradually losing their responsibility for life and family. Truly that man is deplorable, things are not bad enough until he is arrested, perhaps there will be worse things that will make him regret and wake up from his own blind actions.

So we can see how scary it is for people addicted to gambling, and they gradually lose their reason. This fault definitely belongs to the addict himself, there is no excuse for the actions he has created.
467  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why don't you use DEX? on: January 28, 2024, 07:35:00 AM
As for how I use it, I don't have a preference between CEX and DEX. As long as it brings the convenience I want, I will use it. I think there is no need to separate which is the right one, because the issues have been stated quite fully, both positive and negative of each service. And we as users have the right to choose and accept that service. Currently, I see the majority of users tend to switch to DEX to trade more than before, but it seems to still be quite small compared to the scale that people use CEX, and maybe in the future there will be a change. It's different, but as I said, it doesn't matter which one we use as long as it's convenient for the usage process.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong Moves With Your Bitcoin on: January 28, 2024, 07:27:45 AM
If we knew what the future would hold, perhaps many people would be more greedy. I once sold bitcoin at a price of nearly $400, but to say it was a complete mistake I don't think so, because I'm still here and my confidence in the opportunity that bitcoin brings is growing.

The story that OP mentioned here is probably the common psychology of many people, they only feel comfortable when the investment profits immediately, or the loss is not too much. I feel like it's more of a short-term trend than a long enough process to see fluctuations. Ask people who have invested for over 5 years if they've ever seen their investment decrease by 90% but still keep it then receive a large profit. Not everyone has the same opinion, as well as approaches to investing, so take every story as a lesson to look back at what your own investment is getting, it's not necessary to always say in terms of monetary profit, but also things like knowledge accumulated and applied back to that field.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 28, 2024, 07:15:40 AM
Hey, guys! Are any of you emotional gamblers who often lose because you can't control what you feel? When you lose, do you tend to double your bets or chase your losses, driven by a pride that can't accept defeat? Do you consider this a problem? If so, has anyone here been able to solve this kind of problem themselves, and if yes, how did you do it?

I have this problem, and based on my personal experience, I find that sometimes I get challenged but not too greedy because I don't have a problem quitting when I'm winning. However, when I'm losing, that's where my struggle lies.

That's why I shared it here; I feel that some of you may experience the same challenges, and I'd love to hear your ideas or experiences on how to win this battle so we can enjoy gambling.

The problem of losing control leads to wrong actions, and that is like a natural reflex. Putting the problem from this perspective, why lose control? Because of the loss, why continue to lose money? Because you're stupid, unlucky,... but definitely because of you. And the story will be associated with gambling, we think that we can freely play it because of the attractive things around it, but only the wrong action will make us pay the price.

I'm not the type of person to stress about winning/losing, because it's all about experience that we need to be exposed to and then it's a choice. You want to win, you don't want to lose, there is no fixed formula because it's pure randomness. So learn to accept the results and be aware of the need to adapt to it from the beginning. One thing that I quite notice is that gambling is only really stressful when you are no longer in control, or rather it is signs of addiction, and such manifestations should be avoided with similar games not just gambling, as the loss of control occurs through other things.
470  Other / Off-topic / Re: The existence of God? Prove by humanity? on: January 28, 2024, 07:07:30 AM
First of all, man is a spiritual matter  and God is all spirit. To say, human is more composed of matters than spirit, looking at scientific and technological advances, it explains how human can not go beyond their true nature (matter).
The much humanity can go is the awareness that there are existence of forces, so that in your consciousness there is one God. The feeling, bringing human imagination(spirit/unseen by others, except those that can flow) to the world is a prove that other beings exist and it is just within matters the actual composition of human.

Proving the existence of God means going beyond human nature which is impossible. Awareness of God existence is how much human can go. Proving his existence is beyond our reach.

I'm not a follower of any religion, but I accidentally always have feelings for many different religions. As I understand it, and I also understand that everyone tries to limit God to someone, a divine being with supernatural power who creates everything and is forced to stay within a limited form, and the view that I can break it down right away because it's completely confused, so who created God? Maybe the crowd doesn't know that, God has no limitations, and we are also part of God, that's why I also understand that Jesus describes God the Father as being within us.

Current science is indeed very admirable, but perhaps they are not capable enough to explain all their own questions. It's like a newborn baby being unable to understand trigonometric problems, and that's also how people today show that their understanding is always superior. There is another thing that I also see a bit of similarity in the 11D state, if someone could feel what those 11D are like, they would no longer oppose/doubt God, but anyway Individuals need time to experience and complete each of their missions in life.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would the bitcoin price behave during a monetary collapse? on: January 28, 2024, 04:45:12 AM
(...)Imagine that during a financial meltdown there is a cascade of banks failing and closing. What would happen to the bitcoin price?
Would it rise because of hyperinflation or would it crash because there is no liquidity to enter the markets?

Prepare in advance for bad things, but does it help any more? I feel like even if that situation actually happens, we don't know exactly what impact bitcoin will have.

But a little beyond this, it is about returning to live with nature and leaving social complexity, it is necessary to return to a simple time.

But they are just stories in the imagination, and it is true that the economy will still exist, the conspiracy theories are spread so that they can operate on that theory and let the debate add to the excitement of the field. And bitcoin will still exist in a way that people have to accept it.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hey Gamblers, Here's Some Questions for you. Would Love your Responses on them on: January 28, 2024, 04:35:26 AM
(1). Some of the local platforms I use only through matching many incentives for local people, and it is spread through many different things, maybe mentioning seeing from an advertisement on the platform live.

(2). Neutral

(3, 4) .
I'm just a regular player, so the recommendation isn't too special because obviously these days there are many gambling platforms that anyone can access.
But I think the problem for players is first and foremost to be aware of what they are doing, which is their responsibility. The problem with casinos, whether legal or illegal, is that they are just a vehicle.
473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who is top bitcoin competitor? on: January 28, 2024, 04:24:45 AM
Satoshi, in his invention of the blockchain, had given us the inch, what is preventing other bodies or organization from taking the ell? Does it mean no coin hosted on the blockchain will gain mass adoption enough to bypass the users of bitcoin?

The government own billions of population, and by setting her face against bitcoin is a competitor, but doesn't seem to prove that they're a top bitcoin competitor without having a downward course in the process. Last question please forgive me, what stops them from building a coin on the block chain that'll bypass the total sum of bitcoin users, and regulate it?

A little change of perspective, bitcoin is not created for universal acceptance rather it is the acceptance of bitcoin by everyone with it. I see there are many other challenges for bitcoin from the past to the present or in the future, but there doesn't seem to be any convincing.

Instead of a story where we try to express the complexity of the problem, let me describe the great opponent as "the sun", "the atomic bomb", "human cruelty",... It is possible to imagine many other things but perhaps similarly unnecessary to the journey we exist with bitcoin.
474  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Your Thoughts on the Recent Crypto Price Drop on: January 28, 2024, 04:16:42 AM
And now bitcoin is back at the $42k Smiley , it seems that it will not agree with the crowd's speculation in the short term, but in a broader view, it can also be seen that the price adjustment and fluctuations are often consistent. If I go to bed at the beginning of the week and wake up at the end of the week, things don't change significantly, but each person's approach depends on their interests and understanding. Doubt/optimism always exists, and if you have built a long-term plan with the market, the recent fluctuations really aren't too much of a concern.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Claim $WEN airdrop if you are active on Solana on: January 28, 2024, 03:56:44 AM
It was another surprising airdrop in terms of criteria and scale. I also checked to see if it met the requirements and completely laughed when I claimed most of them...

Yes, it really is) While we are waiting for an official statement from the Starknet, zkSynk, L0 teams about airdrop, we receive airdrops from projects for which we did not perform additional actions. And it's becoming a good tradition, despite the fact that they look like tips.

I also want to joke with those who are spending a lot of money on fees to experience mainnet on L2, but suddenly realized I am also one of them. Maybe our expectations are satisfied with other things, and I'm also starting to see some memecoins around taking advantage of the hype to airdrop again. A generosity (or simply a tease to attract attention), but these are still quite surprising amounts for those who don't pay too much attention, and the things that I and many people are serious about are still waiting, but perhaps see those rewards in the future as well.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 28, 2024, 03:49:07 AM
Being addicted to gambling can be a thorn in the flesh. We have heard many bad behavior from gambling addicts that shows that gambling is a serious concern requiring serious efforts at curbing it. Many casinos also include in their disclaimer "gamble responsibly" and this shows the danger of gambling addiction.

However, I'm wondering if addiction can make someone become aggressive to the point of leading to domestic violence. Has there been any known case of it happening? Lets know what you have to say.

It happened directly in my life, when I was young my father was a gambling addict and had lost a lot of money. The tension in the family was always overwhelming and at that time I did not understand what was going on, the conflict about responsibility in the family when even relatives were affected by debt, I had seen the conflict which led to my dad and mom arguing and they fought in front of my eyes. Actually, those are not happy memories, but it's okay, it's also a part of life that I also need to know, it's just that it seems a little different to some people, I'm aware of what happens in real life as a lesson for us to see how to treat ourselves and those around us. As I become more mature, I realize that I don't want to blame everything in life or anyone else, but just blame myself for doing something wrong because I'm not good enough to change things more positively, but life is true. There are things that happen that we are forced to accept, and it doesn't always happen according to social stereotypes.
477  Other / Off-topic / Re: Day school or boarding school which is better for your child? on: January 28, 2024, 03:40:23 AM
Every problem has different sides, and here the subject is school, I believe you will understand the complexity and that nothing is absolutely perfect. IMO, no matter what environment it is in, it will serve as a context for your children to follow the mold they have shaped. If possible, let your children be closer to their parents, don't leave the responsibility of learning for teachers and schools, except in some forced situations that force us to push children to places that lack closeness family ties otherwise choose a school where you feel you will also be able to influence your children. I understand the OP's desire, when he wants to bring his children into close contact with a disciplined environment, but you have to ask your children's wishes to do so. Find out more about their wishes, because the good things we think of for them are not always the things they want to receive from us.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Want To Invest Money From My Inheritance In Bitcoin, But? on: January 28, 2024, 03:29:52 AM
It's not too important where the investment money comes from, but if you have a stance, take action. And your situation is a problem with your family members about investing in bitcoin, the solution is simply to tell them all your thoughts. Joint investments really have a lot of strings attached, and close relationships should not be tied here. I have also encountered problems with contributing capital, although it is not a story associated with bitcoin, but when I wanted to escape, it couldn't go smoothly at all because it affected the group. So try to express everything to them, and encourage them to be independent without depending on anyone.

480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Spot Ether ETF Applications Decisions Delayed by SEC on: January 27, 2024, 10:41:34 AM
This is not surprising at all but do you see SEC has no option to approve the ETF applications now? Because the bitcoin ETFs are already live or they can still reject it due to the nature of PoS mechanism, anything else?

It's just a matter of time, I think there's already a thread about this. Actually, from now until the deadline, we will witness many different dramas, and those who are really attached to that event can abuse it to create a price manipulation around it. But let's be honest, ETH is strong enough and will be approved like Bitcoin, PoS is not a barrier but the exaggeration of the news is only part of the drama. Let's wait and see when ETH surpasses the price milestones of $5000, $10000,... in the future, people won't care much about the issue. Skepticism about crypto always exists, and those who overcome it, I think they also have their basis, I just recall a little bit about when bitcoin once dropped to $25000, people reacted and speculated. What is it up to now? And the story will be similar with ETH, we will see that volatility can be very volatile and filled with doubt.
