1281  Other / Meta / Re: whitebeard account locked/hacked on: February 13, 2016, 05:05:52 PM
My account, 'whitebeard', either got hacked or I screwed up trying to log in too many times after a computer crash that wiped out my password data.  I have written to the e-mail address given in the "you are banned" message (acctcomp15@theymos.e4ward.com) twice but have received no reply, so I decided to try this route since it has been nearly 6 months.

I know the rules say you are not supposed to create a new account to avoid bans except to post a thread here to communicate about retrieval, so here I am.

Please tell me how to proceed to get my account back!!  It wasn't much, but it was mine... LOL  Cheesy

Thanks

If you have sent an email to theymos then you should only wait, it is not forbidden to create a new account and discuss about the ban (don't worry).

Since there are that many of you that had the same issue, I wrote the following utility for you do to the conversion.  If you could help the Portuguese speaking community with this that would be helpful.

https://github.com/davecgh/dcrseedhextowords

I made binaries for Windows/Linux/Mac and they're available under the Releases tab.

To use it, just run:

Code:
$ dcrseedhextowords "whatever your seed hex is here"

Many thanks, that is very helpful. Will try this out, have already bought some coins, would be great if I could add there thei airdrop coins. Like this Coin and the Community very much  Smiley

You are welcome , I hope that you will be able to recover you decred Wink.

@shimlbit and @redSnow, who is worse?
I would help them recover the coins by 20% or you who knew that they could recover the coins, but didn't offer help to the coins don't enter in the market?
You only manifested after me. To pretend seems better. Hypocrites  Roll Eyes

developed by u to send u the hex code ? Smiley

Are you retarded?

I don't want or pretend to be better than you, I only posted the tool that I've found on the decred forum.

The password was not changed through the email link but directly from his profile , so the hacker was able to know his password.

@funkymunky hacked, have you download something of suspicious recently ?

February 12, 2016, 04:54:02 PM - funkymunky - password changed

1290  Economy / Reputation / Re: Removal of escrow.ms? Update: Recommend users for DT 2, as escrow.ms is removed on: February 13, 2016, 02:48:42 PM
I see your point. Those are people I have trusted with a lot of coins in the past, but they do not add much to the network. This is why I posted about watching my list...I will take a better look at it.
Theymos can help you on that one
And likewise, if someone is very trustworthy but never leaves trust ratings, then it's somewhat pointless to add them to your trust list.

Yeah, I am already going to take a good look at my list.

Edit: That is why I asked publicly for a list of good people  Wink

Do you prefer a PM or will you open a thread (maybe in the meta section) ?
1291  Other / Meta / Re: Post quality on: February 13, 2016, 02:44:28 PM
I was wondering is the anything out there that says whats a poor- excellent post.

Such as over 100 characters for excellent  under 10 for poor etc.

100 characters post doesn't always mean 'excellent / acceptable' post for a signature campaign manager (this is what you wanted to know, exactly?). You should post as you don't have a signature, means : post to contribute not to get paid by a signature campaign.

1293  Other / Meta / Re: Important! (I think) My last post just posted twice with same timestamp. on: February 13, 2016, 02:18:15 PM
Check my last post. Upon posting, it posted the post twice which I deleted the second one. Both had the same timestamp.

Just a heads up in case there's a glitch that needs to be addressed, perhaps a trojan trying to steal more funds out of Cryptsy cold wallet.  Shocked Shocked Shocked
At the moment of writing i don't see any duplicate post in your post history maybe you deleted it, send a pm to a mod.

Hey guys, I would like to buy your Decred.

Reply with the amount and price that you want and we can talk about it Wink.

Thanks for the attention.

PS: Obviously I will pay only with bitcoin.
you buy here https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-DCR

I would like to buy some DCR outside the exchange(s) or find someone who want to sell his 'seed' from the airdrop.

Thanks anyway.

Since it is an information that everybody is finding interesting i am going to make daily reports on Airdrop share states.

As of 2016/2/12 there are left 2163 airdrop addresses unspent. ~27% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins
As of today 2016/2/13 there are left 2143 airdrop addresses unspent. ~28% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins

The information might be a bit misleading there @badam.
Myself for example: My airdrop coins, along with 2 blocks that I was lucky to solo mine early, are all locked in with voting tickets. I imagine that my coins would be part of spent in your stats above, but in practice they're not going anywhere, anytime soon. I imagine that I'm not alone in locking the airdrop into voting tickets.

Technically , you have spent those coins because they are not more in the original address (but at the end you still 'hodl' them and yes ... you are not the only one who bought the dcr's tickets to participating to the stake).

EDIT: 2163 addresses have not moved their airdrop coins
How many people got airdrops?
Nice idea in theory but if they gave thousands of people coins it might take ages before the scammers who got coins dump their coins.

I did buy a few but I'm just going to watch now

"In total, 3,244 participants have successfully completed the airdrop confirmation process through the submission of a Decred address."

Hmm, 20 people = 5.6k coins. The dump caused 38 to 26 is around 3.5k so far. The rest are waiting? Scary to think about 2143 unspent.

So there are still 2143 add * 282 DECRED  = 604'326 unspent DCR from the airdrop ....

LOL.

So, did you make same prediction also for bitcoin?
So, satoshi did'nt dump anything till now.  So, noone buy bitcoin until satoshi will not dump his millions btc premined or mined alone at very beginning?

Nah.. only some calc. about the unspent /  coin.

Nothing else  Smiley.

PS: are you a troll or something like that, or maybe you were only sarcastic ?
