---snip---

You came back after long inactivity and just decided to create this post.
I think when you come back after long break you should concentrate on reading more to understand what going on.
Anyways , I think The new rule (1 Merit for Jr. Member) is already reducing spam might be interest for you.
1302  Other / Meta / Re: Be careful with Merit beggars on: October 26, 2018, 01:05:10 AM
He stupidly sent one to me as well. I usually just ignore them but three other people reported the message too so he got a temp ban. This is his second ban as well. Not sure what the first was for but probably the same or unsolicited PMs (which this is also).

It is pity that temp/permanent ban to newbie profile does not mean too much. I am sure currently he might be busy again with something like below:

Few days back I reported a user in LoyceV thread for spamming.
Today I am just checking if the user is banned or not and I found out that user is banned but user created at least 5 more accounts to join this forum.

What a high level of motivation for doing shit posting.

1303  Other / Meta / Re: hay hay i have been banned, please somebody explain to me (-_-') on: October 25, 2018, 04:06:20 AM
In this case  the user was posting on local boards most of the time,if he just copied the content from other language and translate it into his language by translator then how to find that.

Sorry to bother,I am a noob at this. Lips sealed

Tough to find,  but instead of using google.com or your country specific google, try to use google native to that poster.
Sometime back I found well written post but a single point was written in russian in whole English post. That line make me believe that it is google translation of russian language. I did not get anything from google.com but when I searched in google.ru I got my results.

If you really sure that somebody cross-copied then you can do the following:
1. Find the native language of that user.
2. Google translate the user post in native language.
3. Search in local google (native language) for the translated native words.
4. Open the search result and translate back to English.
5. If poster content and translated content matched, you find a culprit to be nailed.

1304  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: PoW vs PoS- Proof-of-Stake Might be the Winner here (Save the Environment) on: October 25, 2018, 01:12:46 AM
@OP.
Initially I used to think on same line that bitcoin POW is wasting energy but if you look from the start of the bitcoin journey I am sure you will change your mind.
Initial bitcoin were mined on laptops, more people trusted bitcoin ,more energy they put in network to secure the network.

Remember, bitcoin code does not have condition that you need to produce that much hashes to mine bitcoin. People are putting more hashes in network because they are trusting the network.

1305  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / What is colored coin in layman terms? on: October 25, 2018, 12:28:52 AM

Recently I come across the concept of colored coin.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=347398.0

It says some extra metadata is put in bitcoin blockchain to make it colored. That extra metadata always associated so that it will always be identified.

1. How this extra metadata is introduced?
2. Is it really a useful concept?

I've also requested that users who are permabanned that information is publicly displayed under their username or something, but not sure whether we should include what exactly for in that. It seems like theymos is likely even against showing which users are banned publicly (not sure why, especially when people are reporting dozens of users a day that are already permabanned and it's time-wasting for both users and staff to have to report and handle these).

Then please add in your already to do list for Theymos, might be we again get lucky in the same way the "1 merit" is introduced to become Jr. Member.
Look like instead of Normal users, Mods are suffering more.

Can banned user send PM? I think they can't. If you are talking about PM from previous, in that case, you might be a victim.
That is not necessary if I received link in PM , I already become victim.  Luckily my wallet is not in my laptop from which I browse the internet, so even opening that link I still not get affected.

And suspicious link will definitely be removed from his/her post if the user is banned.

Directly posted links will be removed. What about link to external website and articles that might be promoting malware in their website.
People sometime let their guard down if they are dealing with some good looking  website.
1307  Other / Meta / Re: Can we establish a division for posters according to their quality? on: October 24, 2018, 10:02:46 PM

Truly said.I will say it is side effects of merits instead of bringing overall quality it introduced us with few statisticians.
But this data that had been analyzed are helpful and the people who are posting the data have contributed much of their time just to create that post. From the collection of data (bpip.org, and merit.txt.xz), creating of graphs and charts, and translating the data all of which takes up a lot of time and all I can say is that they are both helpful and highly informative to all users that is why this kinds of posts deserves a lot of merits.

I am not questioning the effort and I acknowledge their effort also. Doing the analysis correctly and publishing it is big task.
When Theymos introduced the Merit he did not think that most of the merit will be used in this way.

Actually  Vlad230 express my feeling very well.

Yes, you are right. Some of them didn't earn merit for anything else but merit analysis which is sad.

My opinion is that the people whom deserve to rank up should be mainly knowledgeable in crypto currency, not in how the forum works.

They're missing the point of this forum.
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What they won't tell you, how to earn even in the bearish market on: October 24, 2018, 01:52:22 AM
Don't most masternode coins require a hefty initial investment though?.
I believe within $200-$500 you can buy into a coin hosting a masternood program (mostly privacy coins) those hefty price you talk about is after a longer period of time, at infant stages most of the masternood are usually cheap looking at the Cashflow and capital gain rewards.
Also there are other coins that don't involves owning a masternood to earn some Cashflow. You're just required to stake for some period of time while other just owning the coin/tokens qualifies you.

I'm not promoting any coin here but a little DYOR will help you in avoiding the scams

Do you really have a coin to suggest?  My personal experience says that whatever they promise in return that they lose in their price with time. Actually no gain in the end.

1310  Other / Meta / Why we do not give reasons? on: October 24, 2018, 12:49:24 AM
I am curios, why forum did not send the reason of ban and reason of post deletion to the user. Sending the reason , in the end will help the forum only.

My Second concern is regarding the banned user.
Forum itself does not give information whether user is banned or not. Even if somebody find it from "https://bpip.org/" but still it remain mystery why user was banned?

If somebody think why I need to understand the reason of ban because user can be banned for spreading "malware and virus" too. If I know that user is banned for this reason , it will make me cautious that I should not open any link given from that user in any post or in PM.
It is also possible that these user in some post instead of posting the direct malware links, might posted the links of articles that in turn is spreading/containing the link of malware. I checked that forum do not remove all the post of that banned user even forum removes them it is still possible that they might exist in someone quotes.

Don't you think that it necessity for us to know if user is banned and reason for its ban in the user profile?

1311  Other / Meta / Re: ⭐ Forum chronicle - UP Rank List - Congratulations! (BPIP Merit stat, Trust) ⭐ on: October 24, 2018, 12:27:41 AM
I am just curious about below data.

BTCHadzija   BTCHadzija   BTCHadzija   BTCHadzija   0: -0 / +0   Autobanned   User autobanned

I see below user is still posting. There is issue with Vod's site. Once it mark people as "autobanned" it do not reverse even if the user is unbanned at later stage.
1312  Other / Meta / Re: Can we establish a division for posters according to their quality? on: October 24, 2018, 12:00:25 AM
I’ve thinking about this lately. Exceptional posters earn merit at a much faster rate than their activity.

Right now, the people earning merit the fastest are the ones that are compiling and analyzing merit data.  :/

Truly said.I will say it is side effects of merits instead of bringing overall quality it introduced us with few statisticians.

I see , you have so many friend to help. you are such a nice guy helping each of your friend. I think your friends are also good guy but forum moderator  decided to ban them to show that they have power.
I think forum is very unfair to the nice guys like you and your friends. I will suggest you to leave the forum to protect your self-esteem.

You forget to mention Atriz/ZapoCrypto

i dont understand what you mean but im talking about this guys iknow that others are good guys

That is the root of problem that you did not understand anything. Look like you have your own notions of right and wrong and unfortunately they are not correct.
For you first negative by Vod, I guess you are trying to take loan that is worth more than your collateral and in same time you was trying to sell the collateral.
1316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A small misunderstanding about Bitcoin on: October 23, 2018, 01:59:43 AM
Recently, i saw on a web page the timeline of Bitcoin. The first point was: '2009. January 3: The first 50 bitcoins are mined by Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous inventor of bitcoin.'
Now, my question is: Is this wrong or Bitcoins can really be mined? Or are the blocks the ones that are mined (solving the mathemathical problems (hash))?

Actually blocks are mined  or in other words they are solved.  Solving a block triggers a transactions known as Coinbase transaction. Earlier solving the block (in 2009) triggers Coinbase transaction  that gave rewards of 50 bitcoin.
Block rewards are getting halves on every four year, so it become 25 in 2012, 12.5 in 2016  and next block halving will be done on 2020.

I think you should should read this book.

1317  Other / Serious discussion / Re: To infinity and beyond. Does "beyond" exist ? on: October 22, 2018, 04:25:13 AM
The simplest concept I know about infinity is that something that you cannot measure at all. So saying something beyond infinity is just applying a superlative degree and just a verbiage.
Actually , infinity is also relative. Movement of electron to infinity will not be same distance  to the movement of human being to infinity.
So what exist as infinity for object A will not be infinity for object B.

There are multiple infinities. Each one larger than the previous infinity.

When we are not able to measure infinity, how we conclude that other infinity is larger than first infinity?
In reality, with our advancement our definition of infinity is changing. What was not measurable yesterday (tends to infinity/infinity) is measurable today and next non measurable thing become infinity for us today.
1318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what coding language was bitcointalk forum made on? on: October 21, 2018, 10:05:02 PM

Isn't it great. It comes from the days when people wrote text, and other people read it. That's much better than the kaleidoscope of images and mindless music that seems to pass as modern communication.

Agree, looks plain and elegant to me. Loads quickly on my browser , not like other sites that take some time or my computer resources.
Navigation is fast and not as such distracting ads.
Anyways, importance of statement does not increase or decrease by look and feel of site.
1319  Other / Meta / Re: Editing posts on: October 21, 2018, 09:53:03 PM
or we can just stop giving the 10(maybe 7 or 5 Minute) window to edit the post. Once you edit, timestamp update with new edit timestamp.

I do not know if Mods has ability to see Drafts, because draft contain every version of your edit unless you have created /modified 100 times.
1320  Other / Meta / Re: Irfan_pak10's Merit source application on: October 21, 2018, 09:45:26 PM
I do not know why everybody is interested in becoming Merit source when we do not have any idea to increase quality and use all the existing source Merits available.
More number of Merit source will not mean anything , if you do not have user whom you can Merit.
