tried searching in the thread but couldnt find the answer. can someone tell me how many GB 1btc was equal to during distribution round 1?
I think it was around 1.5 GB per BTC linked in the first round. At least somewhere between 1-2.

What is the percentage of wallets that have been updated? I think you can check on bitinfocharts: https://bitinfocharts.com/vertcoin/Look at the bottom. I still need to update tipbot node, and I'll try to run a script to how many blocks in this diff retarget period are signaling this weekend too.

Is the plan for Chimera to be 100% premined and then some kind of PoS system? Or will there still be a PoW aspect similar to HUC?

Another ico, please stop!
Says the guy with chronobank avatar and sig advertising an ICO, lol Does this mean the end of huc development?

noticed some weird behavior in the GUI wallet
2 days ago i synced and left my wallet open since. 1 day ago the pool send me some XMR. it showed up in the balance indicator, but the transaction did not show in the 'history' tab. Only after close/restart gui it did appear. also, the filter date showed the date from when i opened the wallet, not today's date. Apparently this page does not dynamically update both date and transactions.
It would be best if you can open an issue on the GitHub page here: https://github.com/monero-project/monero-core/issuesOr leave a comment if there is already a similar issue.

Also, do you really think the entire Jaxx team was blindsided by the regularly scheduled hard fork and the the open-source, much anticipated RingCT implementation? It was working. It was working with the protocol as it was working back then, and again, in the same way, that MyMonero was working and once we had it working I announced the first transactions. And that was all before the changes were made.
Maybe next time our top secret devs will think twice before they secretly develop features that nobody knew were coming and release the code at the very last second in a surprise hard fork! I am not disagreeing that their public pronouncements don't reflect poorly on them, but to be fair, hasn't the ring CT hardfork completely borked mymonero for several weeks now? Or is it working again?

not good,
i checked "ä", "ü", "ae" and "ue".
password : fail!
put in 25 seed word: "Error: Electrum-style word list failed verification"
When typing the first 3 chars was no autoupdate.
Does somebody has any idea.
Yeah... But... how much xmr are you talking about here roughly? 4.6 XMR are in the pot. I think someone misinformed you. Some languages require the first four characters of each word, not three. German appears to be one of those languages: https://github.com/monero-project/monero/blob/master/src/mnemonics/german.hSee the unique prefix length near the end of the file. Not sure it will help, but maybe...

... You get the seed from the wallet. Go to settings --> backup --> show seed.
Ok, thanks. So if I did not do that then I have lost my other wallet forever, I assume? You may still be able to recover your files. I think if you can recover the byteball directory you will be able to recover your seed. Try something like this for windows: http://www.remorecover.com/windows/how-to-recover-folder-after-format.htmlor look for something comparable for linux.

I had to wipe my computer and all my applications.
I am trying to determine if I had a backup of my wallet. How does one backup a wallet?
I believe you need the seed for normal byteballs and the entire data directory for blackballs. Ok, but where is that seed located? Typically a crypto wallet will give you the seed. In this case, where do you get it from? You get the seed from the wallet. Go to settings --> backup --> show seed.

I'm not really a fan of byteball consensus model, but I think there is a problem with your mining pool argument in favor of BTC consensus model: Bitmain produces almost all of the mining hardware used to mine, and there is speculation that not only antpool is a Bitmain in house mining pool, but that f2pool, viabtc, gbminers, and BTC.top are all basically just Bitmain mining with their own hardware under the guise of decentralization. This is only speculation, except for the bit about Bitmain producing almost all the hardware which is fact, but if true there is really a single entity dominating the Bitcoin network.

Why are you not responding? Your point of view would be interesting on Zcoin. I would have asked the same question about zcoin? I'll respond - it's retarded to consider something with a de facto 20% premine over the first four years as a currency. I think it's a bit better than zcash due to less of a trusted setup problem, but can't avoid the monkey of a huge dev/founder tax. There are and will be more relaunches with far smaller or zero tax/premine. It's getting pumped now, and might get pumped further due to Roger Ver being one of the investors, but ultimately you can't have a currency that is "taxed" at that level, imo.

They need to update coinmarketcap.com. It says XMY but bitrex and polinex say MYR It's Bittrex and Polo that need to update.... Just bumped my support ticket to polo that I filed months ago, might help if others also file tickets. Bittrex just wants like 2 BTC or something to update ticker...

NUFCrichard - it's not only about scaling. In fact, it wasn't originally pitched as scaling solution for Bitcoin. It's about eliminating malleability, allowing cross-chain txs, and getting ready for schnorr sigs and other stuff. See the block capacity point is about the last one on the list: https://bitcoincore.org/en/2016/01/26/segwit-benefits/BitcoinNational - it hasn't had a commit on Github in over two years. I wouldn't hold my breath.

I would like to add Decred which i think is a very much undervalued coin.
I like Decred too, but I wouldn't say it's undervalued now - it's up like 6x since Jan 1st.

Is DECRED and XMR coin?
As in all the XMR Fan Club are here and bought into this since day one, i have just been going through the first few pages and checking the posts of users, who are all XMR supporters.
So just wondering if this is a coin made by the XMR team, it seems that way.
No, but one of the original monero core team, tacotime, is a founder of decred.

Did Litecoin really nees segwit or its a test for its big brother BTC ?
You can even have a solid argument for Litecoins but other coins you ask yourself why do they even need SeqWit, some don't even have a daily trade volume of $1000, so why do you want to implement SeqWit for all of them pure simple hype, thats the only reason it has been implemented, litecoin also To some extent I agree, but it's nice to see altcoins implement CSV, which should enable trustless atomic cross chain txs and maybe eventually truly decentralized exchanges. In unrelated news, Groestlcoin finally got a bit of a bounce in price for being first to fire up the hype machine
