Seems to be a lot of rumours circulating about bank runs and bailouts etc. I think the next week is going to be very interesting. Remember though, seemingly awfully bearish capitulations are a great opportunity to but cheap. Always do the opposite of what the masses are doing. Money is made during bear markets.
1307  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 12, 2023, 03:18:15 PM
It's OK folks; this bank run is just transitory.

 Roll Eyes

Seems a hell of an under current from supposed in the know, financial minds on Twitter. I was too young to be affected myself in 2008 but something similar looks to be very possible, imminently too.

I just hope bitcoin doesn’t get too badly affected.

Edit - Just to add, there is no better place for my money right now than in bitcoin. Short to medium term fiat pairings don’t mean shit.
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 12, 2023, 02:33:18 PM
Liverpool have close to zero chance of getting into the 1/4 finals. We were 3-0 down against Barca from the 1st leg in 2019 and won the 2nd leg 4-0 to get to the final which we then went on to win. There are two differences now though, one is that the current team is nowhere near as good as the 2019 team, number two is that we are away in the second leg this time.

Basically what I’m saying is don’t waste money on betting Liverpool to qualify, it is not going to happen sadly.
The best odds/bet for me in the CL this season to win it is Napoli. They are a serious dark horse.

I did not want to comment LFC yesterday - I was too furious. I'm really having trouble understanding us this season.

Bournemouth conceded 50!! goals in 25 games. FIFTY. How is it possible that a team chasing CL spots fails to create anything against such a team for a majority of the game?
Yes, it would have been easier if Salah scored that penalty - but we absolutely needed to create a lot more than we did.

Our schedule looks horrible now - and this defeat makes it mandatory that we win a few of the upcoming games.

Brother, it’s really quite upsetting isn’t it. I just don’t understand it. I put it down to an attitude problem, an effort & lack of desire issue. Van Dijk barely puts in a tackle these days, he either doesn’t trust his body after the injury or he just cba.

There aren’t many players who have can have any self respect this season, maybe Alisson, Robbo, Konate, Bajcetic, Nunez, Gakpo, Salah. We need wholesale changes & I just don’t know if FSG will give Klopp the money to do it.

Let’s write the season off and hope we make good signings in the summer.

Time to put Fulham vs Arsenal on and watch a young, hungry team who are desperate to win trophies.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 12, 2023, 12:35:09 PM
Firmino has been a great player at Liverpool, a vital part of a team that won so many trophies. He was on of the OG front 3, Mane-Firmino-Salah.

Age waits for nobody though and he has started to slow down, he picks up muscle injuries. The PL is a physically demanding league and it has been decided he will leave in the summer. If he wants to go for a big salary it will be to the US but if he still wants to play top level football then maybe Serie A would be best, a slightly slower pace but very technical league.

Typical Liverpool (this season) to beat Man Utd 7-0 and then go lose to bottom of the table Bournemouth, embarrassing. We have now lost to Brentford, Bournemouth, Leeds, Wolves, Nottingham Forest. We have lost 8 PL games this season and it’s only mid March. This is the worst season for us I can remember in a long time.

After my wooden spoon 🥄 moment from the Bahrain Grand Prix, clearly this was a sign I had quite a lot going on at the moment and didnt have my head in the game , &  unfortunately will be sitting this one out, thanks for the opportunity team motorsport. All the best to all.

I like a good challenge and something away from a pitch or court am definitely jumping on this one.

And I already see some familiar names signing up for the competition, hope their skill isn't as good as the other sports  Tongue

Will get the sign up fee in before deadline day... reserve a spot for me cheers.

Bit of a bad move this, pal. CLS sent you the private link to join on Superbru. You had one bad race so now decide ‘I think I won’t pay’.

Not cool to be honest, I personally wouldn’t accept you in any future sportsbet.io pools or forum promotions. You’re just wasting peoples time and taking away the fun aspect of it.

Wow. It looks like I have become the most successful person in the tournament by predicting 9 players in Arsenal's starting eleven.

I tried to be clever thinking that because it’s the EL & Arsenal are so focused on the PL title race, they might make some changes to rest important players ahead of their PL game this weekend. I am in a very close battle with our good friend buwaytress this match week.

Congrats on predicting 9 players, top work bro.

Liverpool will have a chance, Real is not some defensive giant that will kill the game. Hell, Liverpool had 2:0 in first game before Real broke them.

Sadly mate I think we are done in the CL this season. A 5-2 humbling in the first leg makes it almost impossible. I can’t believe how badly we played in the 2nd half. Really frustrating but that’s football. If we get the first goal next week it could make Real nervous. I don’t hold out much hope though.

I am more confident about us finishing 4th in the PL & getting back into the CL for next season. We’ve picked up our form lately, we have players returning from injury at the right time. Spurs & Newcastle are stuttering & look like they peaked too early. I think we will finish 4th and I will be happy with that as we’ve been awful for large parts of this season.

Did anyone imagine Arsenal would be competing for a "small" double this season?

I didn’t but they are looking very, very good for winning the Premier League. I don’t see why they can’t at least get to the final of the Europa League too.

Looking at the list of remaining teams in the Europa League there aren’t many that I could see beating Arsenal at the moment. Arsenal seem to pass every test that’s thrown at them, fearless.

Wow, this could be extremely bullish

@JSeyff
Hot off the presses from @NYCStein (with miniscule input from yours truly). Upping Grayscale victory odds to 70%. *But* language of the ruling will be key either way.

LFC_Bitcoin and I Were joined by Fortify as well.
Great to hear that and congrats on good day for Sportsbet in Premier League!
I want to hear LFC_Bitcoin impressions, but maybe he is still celebrating Liverpool win from past weekend Wink
Manchester United losing 7:0 from Liverpool could be one of the worst defeats on Man United, and good boost for Liverpool before rematch with Real  Madrid in Champions League.

Hi notblox, we had a great day yeah. The booze was flowing nicely & some really tasty chicken dinner pre match. We were looked after very well by Steve & the Southampton reps who were there.

Massive bonus for the day that Southampton got the win, a much needed 3 points. If they show that kind of fight until the end of the season they have a great shot at Premier League survival.

I managed to get home about 1 hour before the Liverpool vs Man Utd game, which was of course a great way to end a really enjoyable weekend.

As always massive thanks to Steve & SB.
