Still hurting from bets yesterday. Arsenal, Liverpool, all let me down but Ige, what do you think of your chances today? Easy bet for me to take any given Sunday anyway but it feels like a trap.

Pep might want to rest players, but his secondary squad is as terrifying as any.

Nice send off for Bobby though yesterday.

City players will be desperate for a starting place in Istanbul so I think whatever team plays will be extra motivated to stake their claim. Their squad is so good, I don’t think there will be any drop in attitude. Chelsea are in for ANOTHER beating Grin

Sad to see Bobby go but maybe the time was right, Milner too. The less said about Ox and Keita, the better.

I guess it’s welcome back to Thursday night football for Liverpool next season Sad

I’ve seen all the memes on Twitter laughing at us. The final is in Dublin though, that would be a great party for the fans. Hopefully we will be much better next season, some new players and get back in the top 4. Until then, at least we didn’t end up in the Conference League.

This is the Arsenal we all know they never ever finish a season strong- they are going to mess up till the end of the season.

I don’t think they’ll get a better chance to win the title for a long time. It was in their hands, all they had to do was handle their own business. Man City are like a boa constrictor though, they stalk their prey and then attack, suffocating them. Arsenal are a young team, they totally folded, couldn’t handle the pressure. Guardiola leaving can’t come soon enough.

@LFC_Bitcoin I totally agree that City is definitely a very strong team and on paper they’re much better than Inter but since there’s a while for this fixture we will need to take into account any injuries that may happen and player’s form too heading into the last few matches of this season.

All very good points, buddy. I think Man City will be confirmed PL champions when they beat Chelsea tomorrow. The PL is becoming like the Bundesliga, I think it’ll be 5 of the last 6 seasons that they will be champions. It doesn’t make for a good spectacle. Sports washing, state ownership will destroy the game. I am sure Man City fans don’t care but when great, historic clubs can’t compete any more there will be a problem, it’s why the Super League was considered.

I cropped out the top 10 to remind everybody who is playing for the serious money.

Good luck to all involved as the season nears its completion.

Possibly mitchr4 and darbit the only two guys who can win the pool unless somebody comes from below with an epic late run.

Newcastle won’t slip up now, they will be in the CL next season now. They only need to beat Leicester in their next game to guarantee it.

I have to hope Man Utd drop points in 2 of their 3 remaining games which also seems unlikely.

We gotta win 2 out of 3 remaining games to ensure that last spot for UCL. Well against bournemouth, it shouldnt been an issue but against Chelsea next fixture could be different. Alot is at stake for the last 2-3 rounds, Ten Hag' whole career is at stake and it United ended up not getting top 4 then I can only imagine how its going to be miserable for him

Best case scenario for us would be to get top 4 and win the FA Cup final thus deny Pep's chance of getting another treble

Ferguson’s legacy depends on you beating them in the FA Cup final. No English team other than Man Utd has ever won the Holy Grail treble before. Obviously Man City will always be criticised as the Oil FFP Cheats but you can not let them win that final.

I do however hope for a miracle and Bournemouth get a draw or something tomorrow though.

Wink

Same here. Even losing to Leicester won't be enough to haul them back, it's that kind of hope I no longer want to entertain too much. Stats give Newcastle 95% and United 82% of UCL finish. We are at 15%.

Still worth throwing money at for sure heh heh.

So you’re telling me there’s a chance?

I dont think they can save anything, and Inzaghi Simone will have to put bunker to defend against Man City, but they have my respect for reaching Champions League final.

Who is up for some early bets?

https://sportsbet.io/sports/soccer/international-clubs/uefa-champions-league/matches

I think Man City will wipe the floor with them. I’m talking like 3-0 or 4-0. I mean anything can happen on a football pitch, it’s 11 vs 11 but Inter are going to need a lot of luck. Like you said, they will need to put the bunker in and hope for counter attacks. Would be funny if Lukaku scored the winner.

The #Bitcoin 2023 conference is going exactly how you would imagine...

https://twitter.com/WhaleWire/status/1659416335456108544

2023 Bitcoin Conference Miami...

Wow, that looks crap.

From what I’ve seen on Twitter, this conference looks like the worst one so far. The speakers they have are grifters, shitcoiners, scammers, bullshitters. Most of us have more bitcoin than a large % of the speakers.

I’ve met approx 10 people from this forum in real life. I’d 100% rather spend time with them, rather than be at that shitty conference.

What a important win for Newcastle to get away some ghosts, because they dont have so easy the fixture in this last two games.

And Brighton..... next time you cant fail when you are so close. A really good oportunitie they have to reach UCL if they dont drop that points on Forest Everton and here.

Newcastle won’t slip up now, they will be in the CL next season now. They only need to beat Leicester in their next game to guarantee it.

I have to hope Man Utd drop points in 2 of their 3 remaining games which also seems unlikely.

Brighton's just pulled a goal back -- could we still end up with a Newcastle loss I'm hoping for?

**Sigh**

It’s looking like Thursday night football in the arse end of Europe for next season, bro. I guess it’s what we deserve for checking out for most of the season. Losing to Leeds, B’mouth, Brighton, Wolves, Forest, Brentford has been a real kick in the teeth, we don’t deserve to be in the CL.

Sucks but it is what it is. I’ll be happy to play the kids & fringe players in the EL and just concentrate on the PL & domestic cups.

Newcastle only need one win now and they play Leicester next Sad
Maybe Ten Hag will choke but I doubt it.
Let’s regroup in the summer, buy some midfielders and go again.

City look special, real special. Just shows what can be achieved with £2 billion, a manager with an offshore account, a suspended 2-year ban from European competition and 115 charges of financial irregularity.

Hopefully Inter can save football and beat them in the final.

Any way, I’m rooting for Brighton tonight to stop the other sports washing oil regime.

Harkorede got 3 out of 3 questions correct already and I have 0 out of 3. I think it’s time for LFC_Bitcoin to say hello to Division 2 Cheesy

I won’t mind if Brighton get something against Newcastle tonight Wink

Good luck to everybody fighting for the big prizes in the pool.

Yes, that's what happened. Liverpool managed to score two beautiful goals in the first half of the match by Stoner and Salah, but VAR intervened and denied Stoner his second goal. I think the match is open to more goals in the second half. Liverpool needs to win the remaining matches to secure a spot in the Champions League. Newcastle faces a tough challenge against Chelsea and Brighton.

Auto-correcrlt going wild, Stoner?

Wink

All Liverpool can do is to keep winning and hope Newcastle or Man Utd choke. I think Newcastle are more likely, they play Brighton (H), Leicester (H) and Chelsea (A). Maybe Brighton and Chelsea can do something to help.

Good afternoon everyone and good luck in the final round!

I know I'm out but I still hope I make this my virgin win, it would be a record I don't want to be the only one never to win a single round in the entire season lol. I made a few picks I normally don't, so let's see if that helps.

Watch out Div 2 here I come!

Don’t be too sad slaman, looks like I will be joining you in division 2. Barring a miraculous final day I will be relegated too.

I have not been very good at all Cheesy

Hopefully we can bounce back next season and get promoted.

I didn't think Everton will feel confident going against City, they will lose that game 4-0 probably Grin

I meant that if Leicester loses against Liverpool, it leaves Everton in a good position before the last 2 league games.
My gut feeling is that they will stay up, although they were horrible throughout most of the season.

I think Everton will stay up even though City battered them today. Leeds just don’t look like they can win a game at the moment, Everton will stay up because Leeds and Leicester are both worse than them. I was really hoping Everton would get relegated tbh, I guess we can just hope Fat Sam can get Leeds to safety and The Ev go down Smiley
1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 14, 2023, 06:30:50 PM
Arsenal just lost the game and that's definitely their last shot at the league title, too bad your bet had to go with it, I wouldn't say double chance for Arsenal to win or draw against a team that just lost by 5 goals to 1 against Everton at home, is too much to ask of a team chasing the title. but then it is what it is, now it will all be about the doubts should you have gone for Over 1.5 goals, or either team should win, but it's just ifs and buts, so sorry for your loss!

Brighton let me down (as a Liverpool fan) by losing to Everton. I really want Everton to get relegated. Great win for Brighton today, they really deserved the win, they were better than Arsenal in all departments. Brighton’s next game is Newcastle away, would love them to beat Newcastle, even a draw would be good for our small CL qualification hopes. Come on Brighton!
