the site dies slow or what ? i see less and less ads every day ... It's actually growing way to fast, that's why you see less ads. Growing fast in terms of users or advertisers? users im pretty sure Yeah. I guess the number of users is proportional to price/media attention whereas businesses takes time. There are not too many good ad-networks in the Bitcoin community. If I have a new Bitcoin service to offer, I think CoinAd is a very good way to reach the community of those who might be interested.

Just found this gem, read the white paper and like it a lot!
Edit: I like the memory-hard approach with momentum but would not endorse the blockchain just yet as I briefly read something about a huge pre-mine which is one of the ko criteria for every alt-chain.
It wasn't a pre-mine. The whole idea behind ProtoShares was that there would be no need of pre-mine now or in the future. By forking future products from ProtoShares, the people, including devs, who supported the product initially, get their 'payout'. In fact, someone started mining ProtoShares a few hours before the supposed official launch, so Invictus wasn't even the first to mine their own coin!

I'd appreciate it if someone can point to me where I can find the story about the hard fork happened a week ago. want to know more info. thanks.
The one that happened a couple of weeks ago? http://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=370.0Thanks. I'm interested to find out how many PTS shares had been mined prior to the fork and how many left to be mined, ... until the end of the year, I guess? Original goal was 2 years, 2 million PTS. Currently, per http://btsblock.com/, we're at 891,724. The hard block was close to 500,000 if I remember right.

I'll be away for awhile. I'm sure the team will be fine without me, I transfered a large amount of SXC to Lava for promotional purposes. I'm not sure how long I'll be away Don't be gone too long, else you'll become a SXC millionaire and not even know about it

That is really nice, too bad I don't have a decent CPU but only celeron... You can always buy it

It's hard to say really. Think of how accurate your price outlook would have been a year in the past, and try to speculate that uncertainty for a decade and you get the idea. As much as I love Bitcoin, I wouldn't pin my retirement plans on it!

The Chinese exchanges are taking the lead here. Come on Cryptsy!

|
|
Remarkable. Why isn't the media all over this
|
|

has anyone tried this exchange, looks a bit dodgy but so does the beta exchange? spotted it on the PTS forum earlier but cant find the thread now. http://tinyurl.com/ooq9c5xTempted to sell some PTS for litecoin. Didn't use that, but I used coingrounds and it seems to be functioning fine for now. They did have some issues in the past but looks fixed now.

Protoshares of course It's more of a crypto-equity than crypto-currency. Besides, BitShares is an exciting new world and ProtoShares give you a piece of that action.

i dont get why pts is not integrated into any exchanges except the chinese one ...
Because it is less than 2 weeks old... valid argument When it is put on an american exchange that is as least going to 0.1 PTS/BTC. Possible, but how do you know? Lots of early miners are waiting for it to get on an exchange so they can cash out. Many people don't want to deal with messy forum trading.

Yes, a few. One of the better alts.

Does ypool go down often?
It has gone down a surprisingly high number of times for me so far.

Found it. Thanks. Finally got my stuff. Talk about frustration... and how you can't easily ask questions around here if you're a "newbie".
Try the bitsharestalk forum, it's more "newbie friendly" and the official forum for protoshares

I too have some OFF, will be gifting the addresses in this thread with them!
Start with the oldest addresses in the thread!

maybe i dont get the complete bitshares concept, i didnt dive deeply into it yet..
my questions are: - how many bitshares are there gonna be? - can you mine them as well or are all bitshares issued by mining protoshares? - afaik 1 pts equals 1 bitshare, am i correct?
greetings and thx in advance
1. 21 million, just like Bitcoin 2. You can mine them. 2 million of them will be from ProtoShares, so there are 19 million left for grabs through mining 3. Correct.
