You seem like a very smart and reasonable man. Why would you want to sell as low as 4x?  He didn't say he wants to sell at x4, he just showed that reaching x4 has became easier since less people are selling on Kraken. Anyone selling before ICONOMI is in the top 3 market caps, will not get the most of his ICONOMI investment.The thing is, it doesn't even need to be in the top 3 to get returns higher than the top 3. Remember the market capitalization is based on price, therefore capital appreciation, and not dividends therefore income. It is conceivable that the income component of the return is much higher than the capital appreciation. We won't know until the markets open of course. ICONOMI is a different type of crypto than the ones we're used to until now. |

Can we talk about math for the ICN dividends? For example, lets assume both of the funds manage $100 mill each. And lets assume, monthly profit from those funds is 10% (I just made smth up). How much dividends would we get per 1 ICN token monthy in this scenario? Does anyone know what the fees for the funds will be? I couldnt find it in the whitepaper.

You can do the math yourself. The fees isn't announced yet, but assume 0.5% for the index fund, 2% for the performance fund. Profits don't matter for the index fund, but will matter for the performance fund, which you can assume to be 20%. The final numbers can vary. Oh and also there are a total of 100 million ICN. |

What criteria are being used to determine "immediate rebalancing"? Since the index fund doesn't trade yet, it is ok to do this kinds of actions, but rebalancing without warning is a strict no-no once the actual index launches. Otherwise people will quickly lose trust in the index. I hope the ICONOMI team realizes this. The market should always get a heads up on when and how rebalancing takes place. Index rebalancing is performed at each end of month or more regularly if ICONOMI deems it necessary. Between rebalancing periods, index constituents’ weights move proportionally to their price movements. If the weight of a specific currency surpasses 20%, the index is rebalanced immediately. ICONOMI appoints a committee that determines the composition of the index at each rebalancing. The committee members propose the addition of new members to the index as well as their weightings and the potential removal of certain members. The final decision is taken with a vote. Additions and deletions of new or old members to the index will be explained to the public as they occur. seem right now is very sad to sell Iconomi because price under ICO price  Just keep Hold my ICN token and hope another suprise will come I feel sad also when i see the current status of ICN on exchangers and how could it bounce back if this bad scenario still occuring and massive dumps are already been done slowly? I think devs should take some great action for this one so their project will not die at peace, and surely same as you i will still behold my ICN tokens for more longer days maybe by that we can still see some little miracle in thise one. You know it is about 50-60 btc to reach 25k sat again? That is nothing compared to what people invested here. As soon as it gets another exchange + news of development it can go above that again in no time. Though I agree in principle, this is not how markets work. It's not the dev team's job to make you profits 1 week after launch. Their roadmap is for a year or so, that's their job. You bought into their vision/roadmap. If they fail to deliver the product, then complain. But don't complain that the price is down one week after launch and it is the dev team's fault.

I'm wondering if polo won't list it as it encourages a competing exchange
ICN isn't really a competing exchange. In fact, the team will need external exchanges to back up their funds, so they will likely be using exchanges like Poloniex to buy crypto and store them in multi-sig wallets. It is definitely more co-operative. |

If you think is testing investor patience, you've not seen the first thing in crypto-markets  Actualy price is above ICO price. Lol Yeah ICO prices are tricky. First, there was a bonus, so if you bought towards the end, the price would be different from if you bought on the first day. Then there is the BTC price fluctuation, so if Bitcoin price rose, your USD cost increases. Then, there is the BTC rally over the last week or so, and someone calculating profits in BTC might be under water. All that being said, even if the price goes down a little below ICO price, it is not unusual at all. |

If it is a short-term extended downturn, say for a month, that would shake out a lot of weak hands. The real value proposition is in making a profit through the funds. Remember they have the funds to seed their PERFORMANCE fund. If they have good traders, they can beat the index and make some good dividends to the ICN tokenholders in the process.

I do not understand how people sell their coins at very low prices when they have the opportunity to be part of a business as promising as ICONOMI. People who invested in ICONOMI pontencial having analyzed the medium and long term would not sell it for anything. Actually I find it very sad that comply with earnings ridiculous not to have a little patience and let the platform that may revolutionize the economic system that is old and obsolete. A bit of vision please.
I think most of ICN sold in exchanger obtained from bounty they do not have any risk they know just sell and get BTC and expect prices to fall then buy back at a lower price As for other factors possibly because BTC prices continue to rise so that they want to exchange it for local currency. Can we stop with this false narrative already. Do you have data to support your thesis? What percentage of ICN tokens have been traded so far? Combined with the existing order books, it is significantly above 2% of the supply, which was what was allocated to the bounties. If you really think the price is so cheap, why come here to post instead of silently buying it up? |
