Well, that's the risk you take not buying in the ICO and instead waiting for it to trade on the exchanges.

Seems like the sellers are in a rush, so they go to the only exchange trading it. The buyers will probably come to the better known exchanges like Bittrex and Poloniex.

These things are bound to be super-volatile in the initial day(s) of trading because it is really low volume. Don't look at the numbers -60% ! The initial price was from Liqui which is most certainly not the most reputable or legitimate starting point for that "dump" you speak of

The funds should just be tokens on ETH as well that you should be able to trade on markets, not just from ICONOMI. The reason is that if it trades on exchanges, arbitrageurs will be active and therefore there is better price discovery. This is as opposed to just buying at the ICONOMI exchange. In fact, the more exchanges that trade these funds, the better for the fund to track liquidity. We still have to see how the redemption process works, i.e. creation or destruction of ICNX tokens based on the underlying crypto. It may not be very straightforward, but it is needed to make sure the price doesn't deviate too much from the underlying.

Depends on if the exchange honors it, which depends on the individual exchanges. If you keep it in an Ethereum wallet whose keys you control, you can't go wrong. Or leaving it on the ICO website should be fine too.

Nothing to test now. Wait for the token to launch on Ethereum. You'll then have access to your ICN tokens on the ICONOMI official site itself. You can then send it to another Ethereum address, or just wait for exchanges to announce trading ICN and you can send to these exchanges directly.

You should read the timeline before commenting
Everyone is interested in the ICN tokens, the question is, what will give it value? How will the market react to the different events from now onward, and what are the big milestones that the project will accomplish.

What do people think are important milestones for assets under management? My guess is, the ICONOMI.INDEX would be popular with investors, but if the PERFORMANCE fund does well, it could attract significant interest as well (plus, the PERFORMANCE fund is better for ICN holders due to higher fees).

As if the spam on Twitter and blog posts during the bounty period wasn't enough  Stop trying to "promote" this way, it just comes across as desperate. The project and its successful investments will speak for itself. The only thing that will take ICONOMI higher is the good implementation of the ideas behind it, and the types of returns they can generate, especially in the first few months of the funds launch.

Definitely seeing more traction. No need to rely on expensive middle-men like Coinbase for small amounts of buys, and without the hassle of account closure risks.

What are you talking about? The crypto market is mostly down last few weeks. Token price won't "easy" return 500%, let's be realistic. Certainly possible, but let's not rely on things like this.

It is good that you posted this on the index that is behind ICONOMI.INDEX fund (ICNX): https://ico.iconomi.net/about-icnx-index. However, it is very incomplete. Here are a few questions that you need to answer. I am also available to help if you guys need it.

1. A random collection of things is not an index. Firstly, it needs to have a well-defined index criteria. e.g. S&P 500 index has a very well marketcap based defined criteria on which companies belong to the index. It could be 'this is decided by committee' but that needs to be explicitly and clearly stated.

2. How will the index composition change with time? Who decides when a new cryptocurrency is added to the index? Who decides when it is removed from the index?

3. How will the index allocation change with time? Given the components that you've chosen, how will the percentages change over time? There have to be well-defined rules for that.

4. How frequently will the index re-balancing take place?

5. You've included BCY which has a 24 hour trailing volume of just $8000. This might limit the price discovery if things go out of whack, and there is enough money invested in your index.

6. How frequently will the traders re-balance based on the index?

These are just some of the questions, by the way.

I think after the ICO finishes and before you launch any fund, please make sure you have spoken to someone with financial background, and knows how to evaluate these types of funds. They are more complex than you may imagine at first glance. If people's expectations of returns don't match your own, that will be detrimental to the whole project and the investors. The details in the whitepaper are insufficient to calculate returns.

$5 million is a cool milestone. Someone should add ICONOMI to the Wikipedia page of list of largest crowdfunding projects.
