This isn't vaporware. Unfortunately, the development process has taken longer than anyone could have anticipated, even considering the blistering pace at which James has coded everything.
Barely. I literally cannot believe the rate of progress since the ICO, but there is it anyway. And for free (or at least an equity stake rather than big BTC salary), with a decentralised community doing the rest. Makes you wonder what those guys at Ethereum have been up to, let alone the other lot.

Can someone launch a speculative cypher of how much money has bitstamp done in his history and in a standard month?
Jorge? There is a thread in service discussion about it. If you assume 10k btc volume per day it would be around 14.5 k btc from fees. But they will also have expenses over the year.. They also had VC funding, right? So probably insurance too.

major exchange offline for a day and no big movements at other exchanges Minor exchange in Slovenia offlne for a day, Chinese short-term speculators do not care. I believe Bitstamp is in the UK now, isn't it? They are from slovenia or something but operate in UK They are legally registered in the UK. That's where their management and accounting offices are. The rest is still operated in Slovenia (servers, development, support, etc...). Specifically in the town of Kranj... Happy? Right. London 'based' but their infrastructure is in Europe because there is no way that a London bank would ever let them operate. Slovenia, on the other hand, is more chilled out about Bitcoin.

Call for Windows Testers!
Anyone who is interested in testing the SuperNET api on Windows, please join the #windowsdev channel on the supernet slack.
Matthew
Yes! I'll definitely be getting into this later.

I have been able to successfully find a peer, ping/pong with him, and send/receive messages using BitcoinDark-enabled SuperNET on Windows! http://textuploader.com/6djlThanks to cryptosleuth for helping. Matthew Excellent!

ShroomsKit, what are you going to do when the inevitable reversal happens (whether it's at $260 or $26)?
Nothing? And how exactly is it inevitable? It's inevitable because at some point the price of bitcoin will stop going down. Even if it's at $0.1. It's not that hard a question to understand, but never mind. Huh? That doesn't answer my question at all. I'm gonna assume you can't answer it then. Sure. It was a real poser, after all. Still no answer? What was the question again?

Where is Tim Draper and those Winklewoss guys when you need them? ? They need to launch this SUCKER!!!!!! I think they might be having a bad day.

Looks like they're finalising the v1 release. But it won't be until at least a few days after the NXT hardfork for Monetary System release, which is due around 10 January.

If you do work for supernet, can you apply for some funding or is it pre-determined who get's paid?
It's not (entirely) predestined. I'm sure if you can add value to SuperNET you will be rewarded.
|
|
|
Is a supernet wallet based on the latest NXT build going to be released/being worked on? Regards.
yes worked on, its planned to be released before the 330000 block. Is this correct? I thought after the hardfork?

thanks for your support. been working more like 18 hrs/day 28 days a month, but I have been doing this for 7 yrs now, the prior 6 was pre-crypto but I seem to have gained some skills from all that coding. I will probably become one of the few coders who writes over a million lines of code.
I decided to put a cool new module into BTCD, it will then become a valuable service provider for the rest of the SuperNET. This is a brand new tech that I have been working on the last two days and it enables the proper solving of many currently unsolved problems and could allow for a much wider appeal.
So, if you have faith in me HODL. If not, please sell.
James
Alright, I'll take the bait. What is this cool new tech of which you speak? I posted in slack the details Been checking the different slack channels, don't see it .... (?) I think it is blockchain compression.

SUPERNET = legit & FAIR
Yes, it was the (now deleted) 'double your crypto in 100 hours' that comment was directed at. I don't know, call me cynical, but something just didn't seem right about it.
