Will there be info on buy back or upgrade programs to the new ASICs?

Good question

Hi, we do not have plans to offer upgrade programs between different hardware manufactures. If we do offer upgrades it will be within the same product lines (ie. Gridseed to Gridseed)

Thank you for the questions, GAW
Can you take this opportunity to explain:
"Price Protection
Equipment buy back"

For instance, are you offering to buy equipment back at a certain price, then resell it labeled as "used"?

I assume the "price protection" is just if something drops in price overnight, and the people that bought the day before get some sort of discount?  How does the "price protection" work?
Thanks.
+1 I'd also like to know how these services work. Thanks

When gridseed came out with the blades, GAW bought back the 10 packs from our customers and allowed customers to pay the difference to upgrade to the blades.

Price protection would prevent the price from dropping drastically within a small period of time. Unfortunately, we need the manufacturer participation for this to work. While Gridseed has given us a verb agreement they will not do this again, we have nothing in writing from them.

This is one of the reasons we made our own hardware, so we have more control over the cost.

I hope this answers some of your questions

Well I wonder if you know how the people that bought blades and waited more than a week to get them online feel; I'd say slightly fuct when the same day we see them go live you announce much cheaper versions.

Thanks PW..  And my Miners are hosted so I really have no way to track my Hash rate say for like the last 24hrs (To make sure I did not go down or something)..

GAW hosting is horrible as far as hashrate monitoring is concerned. The only way to remedy this is to use a pool that provides alerts for idle/underperforming workers (sorry waffle) and grill GAW support whenever the hashrate drops. That's almost a full time job unfortunately.

You are so right and it's probably the grids fault which is a shame.

Rejects are killing me, why so high on the NY server?

So your opinion is more valid than mine? I don't think so. Also, the "features" listed for "founders" are quite a bit more than one day. Of possible consequence is any sort of equipment buy-back or credit or "special" price for the new miners for those that ordered blades last week but didn't get to use them until late last night... I guess those blades were busy cranking out the LTC we're waiting on.

The GAW Miners members area is: http://www.gawminers.com/members-area/ and you need your previous order # placed between 18 March and 1 April to get the discount pricing. Founders club info is at: http://www.gawminers.com/blog/gaw-founders-club/

How do I get added to the founders club? I was in the past (hence the email) but while trying to login and/or reset my password, I discovered my account was deleted. I don't have any founders club code to add anywhere. Just an email saying "Welcome to the club", but it's for the old account that I guess you guys deleted?

YOu can't, only the people who ordered from GAW between 18 march and 1 april are founder members.

I'm proud to be one of the happy few ;-)

Yep and that's why not matter how much you spend it's so ridiculous. Honestly, flaunting the "founders club" with a giant banner on their site with a "learn more" link is such crap because it doesn't mean shit to anyone except the few that bought early. That's why us "regular" members don't have any real loyalty because you've essentially locked us out and we can get what you offer in many other places.

I'd like to see some alternatives too for the GPU miners. Maybe he needs to launch clevergpumining.com...

Huh

Clevermining is a scrypt pool.  It's all about "GPU miners."

Not for long.

If I order 3 of the blades that are hosted for a year, when will they start hashing? I know they say 05/02/2014.. Will they start then?

Hi,

They will start mid-day tomorrow! Thanks

Excellent!

June 10th isn't that far away and with luck this will drive the price of Gridseed Blades down to match per MH. I also wouldn't be surprised to see new GS items popping up as it looks like the floodgates have been opened on these "new" chips.
