There are no first amendment rights on someone else's bulletin board. I've been banned several weeks now and it's great, I don't even go there any more and I'm much happier now.
There are probably trade rules against retaliation against customers as a general practice, which cover critical reviews.

No it's their own private message board, they can ban at will and you have no recourse. It's kind of like trespassing.

Hello all

So far mining is good for me .
115.034 MH Total Scrypt Hashpower
195.615 GH Total SHA256 Hashpower
6 Miners
0.0955 BTC 24h Payout

But I still can't sell my prime miners (even to gaw) .

Did anybody succeed in selling a prime ?

I don't think anyone has sold a prime unless they sold the whole account. At this point the cash flow from Primes is nice enough that I don't sweat not being able to sell it and get cheaper Zens. I wish I didn't have to do the double-dip gimmick but I'm grateful it even exists at all.

Also, if you don't know this, DO NOT boost if you double dip. It might have been stated somewhere but in case you didn't know, using the boost will cause your double dip reset time to go back by 2 hours.

After reading it I'm under the impression that the field trip photos made him resign. He points out that the staff took a flight instead of fixing a database bug.

They were going to a bitcoin show that had been in the planning for weeks.   Also the current status of the database issue isn't know.

So send 2 of your staff not the whole fucking team...  Roll Eyes

I saw 6 or 7 people there, thats probably less than half of their team.
Both sides overreacted. I wouldn't ban the guy for his opinion, but I also wouldn't flame them for going to a conference. It's not like they flew to a beach party on The Bahamas Cheesy

yeah but you've not seen the whores and cocaine videos have you?

Pretty sure there was naked dwarf tossing too.

The guy running http://hashlets.info/?p=174 has quit. Apparently, the infamous heavy/heavy account suspension/banning for dissenting voice (worse than Gestapo, or China).

Probably some 1st Amendment rights violations somewhere too (FTC complaint?). About as bad as the guy running Starfleet Commander (on Facebook), lol.

So what's this company called LTCGear, they give you 20% weekly when gawminers only gives 7%.
Why aren't people going with them instead, after reading the reviews and their 300 page thread.. They seem like the better investment and trouble free unlike gawminers.

Different buy in options are Gaws advantage here.
1046  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW ZenCloud ZenPool Hashlet - does it really exist? ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: September 25, 2014, 12:16:11 AM

Hmm I'm sensing maybe something everybody hates like something in between a and b. I'm going to say $30 primes and only 30ghs in sha mining.

Nope the primes reappeared on the site for 49.95, same as before this whole useless process started by the CEO running that place. Essentially it took the CEO a week to decide to do nothing as of now.

Doesn't mean he won't change it. Anyone buying primes is a sucker. Get zens instead because they'll never mine twice as much as them because there are too many legacy $16 buyers it would ruin gaws margins.

OMG, Gaw is run by a retarded monkey. Announces today an announcement today is coming about primes pricing, then, posts not today.

He can't even manage announcements, in a 24 hour period.

It'd be funny if I didnt' have hashlets before I knew who was running that place.

Gaw Miners are crooks! All of them belong in jail!

You know you have to provide more than that right? I mean I can say up is really down! Doesn't make is so though does it?
1049  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW ZenCloud ZenPool Hashlet - does it really exist? ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: September 24, 2014, 04:42:51 PM
LTCgear multiplication factor was 1.35, definetly still the cheapest cloud mining available  Cheesy

Yeah and a combination of GAW with LTCgear is definitely a good idea to spread your risk around a bit.

Wow that is pretty damn awesome!

rate went up on zenpool, so happy with my primes  Grin

Well they went up for Zens too. Just saying you don't need Primes to enjoy this.

Maintenance fees have been going up. Boosting isn't free or it's just the BTC exchange rate?

As far as I can see it's just the exchange rate. But ZenPool payouts seem to be going down too, so it kind of gets squeezed from both sides.

It's true and I feel like we should be seeing fees come down just by economies of scale. You can negotiate cheaper rates on power when buying in bulk but we're not seeing that on our end at the very least.

Since the majority of Zenpool's income is NOT mining, then I don't think power rates has much to do with anything.

That 25-35% GAW charges is probably not expenses, but profit.

You might be right but I'm trying to go off of what they say. I think all of the ltcgear action is going to force prices down which is a good thing. I mean tens of thousands of dollars have flowed out of hashtalk to ltcgear instead of going to hashlets that were restricted while Josh was flip-flopping over what to do.

Still no word on my refund of store credit from my VB Mini batch 2 return. The purchase price was $3700 and I used a credit card for about $3100 and store credit for the rest. The credit to my card finally went through after a month of pestering now I just need that store credit for them to be square with me. I'd pester them on Hashtalk but I was banned for being... being what I have no idea because they never told me. Anyway, what's going on Amber?

Edit and update: Looks like I only had $72 in credit AND a 15% off coupon. Weird how the full price is on the GAW receipt but I do remember using the coupon.

Thanks for sorting this out Amanda.

Yep it's coming today and as a new user I'm pretty excited.

I went from shadow banned without notice or any info to full banned with the same treatment. Remember that thread where Josh said he would remember who stood by him and who didn't? He wasn't kidding. The thing that is annoying is that now I can't use that as an avenue for help which is kind of important because it can be hard to get their attention. Right now I'm waiting on my missing $600+ gawminers.com credit that was used to partially pay for my VB Mini batch 2 that I cancelled.

is it possible to run more than one device on a zen os/zen controller I have one fury and one black widow. seems to work running one or the other but not both...

You can run a couple of the same but none that are different.

This is what I woke up to today. Screen full of invalid nonces. Gen A Week 1 Falcon running 24/7, aside from maintenance - dust cleaning 2x month, it was due for a cleaning. Corsair ax1200 PSU pulling 1000-1100 watts at the wall. All good there. I fixed it by sacrificing the psu cable and directly wired it up using 12 gauge Romex, 6 individual pieces for the 6 individual wires. Works fine. Not looking for anything compensation-wise, just a note to say that this happened. Clock was 315 for the last month or so, 328 before that, aside from the week of testing when I first got the miner in May/June. All three "reds" were burned 100% through and not connected. This was the green slave board directly next to the blue master board. Ambient temp in the house is usually 70F. Miner is elevated for air circulation under it as you can see and pointed out the window. Other connectors are fine.

I had a PSU do that with my 7990 that had been running smoothly for months. Plugged in a new one and right as rain ever since.

I can readily think of five people that were banned in a period of less than 48 hours on hashtalk (myself included).   I was banned without warning and for unknown reasons.

Josh later revoked the ban, but it certainly seems as if the resellers who act as mods, at one point at least, were free to ban anyone they wanted with no reason or warning required.

Maybe that is half of the total bans.  Maybe.

I've been set invisible at this point. I'm waiting for Josh to get back to me to see if the ban hammer has my name on it. The part of this that bothers me is that a banned user could not use the forum for support and we all know the more support channels you have for GAW as reminders the better.

I got my credit card refund for VB Batch 2, thanks!

That is great news! I am happy that we were able to get you squared away. Again, I apologize for the delay!

Sincerely,
Amber

Hello Amber, I updated that ticket asking about the store credit that was also used for that purchase. I shot you a chat on Hashtalk too about this.

Thanks!
