382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCgear.com, the best scrypt/scrypt n/X11 cloud mining service, Not paying!!! on: May 14, 2015, 10:17:58 AM
So what? We will have to pay fee in order to get our balance back? Or we will have to pay fee if we would want to continue to mine? Smiley how can anyone trust this service...  and this week, means never. Its the second time we are promissed to get our balances cleared...

Over a year ago  Chris did say at that time that at the end of the year there will be some maintenance fee.

Although I am not entirely sure how it will work. If it cannot be deducted from my balance, then it is funny.

Well, that's going to be my main concern. Bought loads of shares around black friday and after that with the new package he came up with. I'm not really willing to hand out 20% of that amount again just to be able to get my payout "unlocked". At this point I'd be quite happy with getting ROI on the investment and everything on top of that is a bonus.

If it's 20% of my "balance" and not coming from my wallet no problem here.

So as i understand (Chris got an ewsome englishc).

We need to pay the anual fee to receive the payouts?

His Engrish is better than my Cromanian.

Am I far off if I say that this whole mining business as an uptime of around 90%? On average?

Up until that first big snafu last week I was up and running just about all the time. Since they switched all my miners to this location it's been hit or miss.
389  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [lee group]419$ the sales promotion of hosted antminer S5(golden psu included) on: May 11, 2015, 06:59:21 PM
Looks like 5 out of 12 are up for me now.

Yep all of mine are down as well.

I was lucky, I got 4 fan Delta  ;DTFC1212DE-SP07 for $ 36 including shipping

thats the fan i got to pair up to the stock fan, it flows alot of air.
the fan i got tho was reversed pwm, so i had to make an adapter.

Sure you get long enough wires??.... the ones on S5's connect to the PCB instead of the HashBoards.
Lot greater travel distance for the wire to connect.
Back then the S1 & S3 fans were interchangeable, the S5 killed that.
The difference is about 2 inches in wire length.
You may need to get your hands dirty or buy the fans directly from Bitmain.
Soldering's no big deal but was kind of stupid to omit the hashboard fan connectors.
Just hope they are long enough, then I'll know what to hunt.

Those 4,000 CFM fans ain't cheap, let alone with enough rope...

Use the stock fan and just put this on it:

I have used this for several miners and it lets you adjust the speed/sound/temp ratio just fine. Also, tape two of these in a line and put it on top of your miner to quiet it down even further. Make sure it extends past the fans a little bit:

Maybe they were cutting costs, and now all Neimeng miners are at Chengdu? Always ready to spin conspiracy theories since no one, that's speaking up, seems to have a miner at Neimeng now. I wonder what the actual different is/was.

What else would explain these problems except too much data trying to get down a pipe that's too small?

It's one of those things that after 24 hours people start wondering what the heck is going on. Anyone get an email on this?
394  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [lee group]419$ the sales promotion of hosted antminer S5(golden psu included) on: May 05, 2015, 06:04:32 PM
It suddenly hit me...with all 15 of my miners recently moved to Chengdu, this maintenance will cause me to have the first 24 hour stretch with 0.00000000 BTC earned for $0.00 since I started mining over a year ago.  I have never had a whole day with 100% downtime before.

Li, I want 7 of my miners moved back to NeiMeng after this maintenance is over.  Then I would have approximately half of my miners up and running while these regular unscheduled maintenance sessions are going on.  Having all of my miners in one data center is a disaster.

Mine used to be split 7/5 and I liked that better.

Yep 50% hash rate for the past 10 hours.

It's even worse, I'm at 2900.9 Ghash/s and falling right now instead of 14000+

thanks for the trust, now both neimeng data center and chengdu is stable like before, we will send compensation list as soon as possible
good thing is that both the difficulty  and btc price keep the same as before, so we have got a lucky 14 days again

The problem for me are the following:

 - The miners are getting too hot. You have not told us your plan to rectify this.

 - We need lower host fees, but your current cost for new miners is holding people back. I know these machines still ready to sell are being mined, so I don't understand this high cost.

 - We need more data in the host website. Whatever you are currently using to monitor the machines needs to do more, like show current blocks accepted for the pools, etc, and the temperature of the blades.

 - The miners connectivity is generally poor. They jump pools too much and can't keep solid connections. Any plans to make this better?

 - It would be wonderful to have an ability to ping and traceroute from the host login. That way we can pick better pools or nodes to use.

Thank you, and good luck with getting back on here more often.

-------

Additionally, I see all my miners moved to Chengdu, and have different IPs. Did I keep the same machines or what happened there?

i wouldn't mind more stats on the monitoring page.

i don't seem to suffer from pool hoping at all. i point mine to either f2pool or antpool pools. most of my miners are in the neiming dc.

I run my 12 all on f2pool and they are rock solid. 4 in one location 8 at the other. I've run S5s at home averaging around 74c on one and it ran solid for 5 months until I sold it. I'm not worried about temps so much. You're list is a lot of bitching. Sure things could be cheaper but they are already a hell of a lot cheaper than running them in my basement.
