Got my Zenminer Pi kit today.

On the Black Widow... It's up and down quite a bit and still only maxes out at 13MHs. Here's a pic for you (it's stalled right now.)

Did anyone hook their Zen to a Blade yet?
1263  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - NEXT GEN ASIC on: May 27, 2014, 02:07:11 PM
I've been a customer for awhile and have posted a positive "review" of GAW before but I thought I'd toss up something else. I'm still a bit noobish here at bitcointalk but I'm pretty active so hopefully I won't be accused of being Josh. If that does happen I want the accuser to find the keys to my Ferrari because I misplaced them.

Anyway, like others I've had to use the support system with my Blades many times because they are finicky beasts. I have one next to me to prove that and the GAW hosted Blades are actually more stable which is pretty nice. In any event, Joe, Luke and Jeff have been pretty good at getting things resolved and while they are not as fast as I'd like sometimes it always gets done. On the fast part that is partly my fault because I set the bar so high I expect immediate results! Lol, you know what I mean when you discover you've been losing hash for like an hour and you start sweating... Usually a good time for a beer.

Josh and I have had a back-and-forth also but he's been pretty straight with me and when he says he will do something he comes through. For example, I snagged a late hosted Black Widow that looks like it wasn't supposed to be up on their site but was there... I bought it just the other day! He could have said sorry, that was a glitch lets work something out next week or week three. He didn't. He got the Widow hooked up and it's hashing away (12.9something average MHs.)

I don't feel like I'm being scammed. I feel like I'm getting what I paid for. I will buy from them again.

What's the hosted hash for a Widow? Mine seems to be hitting 13MHs but no higher. Just wondering if this is the norm or is there something wrong with mine. I'm also seeing a lot of errors.

Funny, seems like hash-master and hashra are down right now too.

They aren't associated though?

Interesting coincidence? Or is it? They are all selling Zeus-associated miners and maybe they are all now adjusting their dates...

Hey, I'm a customer how come I didn't get that Blade email?

So whats coming?
I heard rumors they're launching a game changing project soon.

I wonder if they are going to do cloud hashing. I know zeusminer is using them for their zeushash.com. I wonder if GAW will have something similar. Would be pretty sweet if we got an added bonus on our Gen A mine orders with some cloud hashing like the zeus promo! Smiley

Zeushash is hosted by GAW...

Prime as in Optimus Prime I'm guessing after the Avengers names for the miners. Transformers... changing...

I see Hash-Master is offering mining contracts, I wonder if this is next for GAW. Prices suuuuuck.

What kind of environment was that even kept in with rust like that? Pretty crazy.

I'm almost hoping this. ^^^  Blades have been amazing in regards to uptime and performance.

Yeah, I'd love to see some super-cheap prices for Blades...

Hosted Miners are back, and you can now upgrade your hosted miner to another hosted miner Smiley

it's 499.95 + whatever they (GAW) makes with your miners for 21 days or more depending on when exactly you place your order (GAW will most likely be mining with them until they need space/room or has a seller for them), so you end up paying more than 499.xx if you upgrade early or on the 18th and they end up making more the sooner you give them up- anybody seeing this differently , LMK.

GAW - any better options for those that has felt the most sting since April drop of prices ?

Yeah this makes it not very appealing as I will be losing 1365$ at the current rate if I take all mine down for 3 weeks.

I get they need to make money on this as well, but even perhaps they do a 50/50 (let us mine with half hashing) till we get the miners upgraded would be better then zero... unless I'm mistaken I can't see you offloading all that inventory on the 18th.. let us mine with them at fifty for us and fifty percent of mining profit to GAW ?

Yeah , I understand this is something that you don't have to offer, I get that.. I also get that you're offering it cause you believe in your customer base and want to do right by them and I think you will come up with a better solution than having us loose more for believing and digging even deeper in our pockets to secure our beliefs in you.

GAW, I believe we can work something better than having your clients getting zero mining for 21 days after we provided you with funds/money that will be sitting in your escrow.

I like where you guys are going with this! I agree it's hard to give up that hash power immediately for a promise 3 weeks down the line. Who knows what the price of the 13MHs unit will be at that point too!

Hi

I was just wondering does anybody know what the cut off date is for upgrading gblades to black widows (hosted)?

I believe it's the 18th.
1275  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: GAWMiners.com - THE WAR MACHINE 54 MH Scrypt Miner! $5,899.95 on: May 15, 2014, 07:23:48 PM
I've been a Zoomhash and GAW customer for a couple of months now after GPU mining for months before that.

GAW had some hosting issues for a couple of weeks where they (my Blades) would go down and not restart (for me) when I switched pools or a fail over was initiated. I was sending at least one ticket a day or more. Slowly but surely they have been getting better at this and so much so that I'm pretty disappointed they are not offering hosting for the new boxes right now. I'm not going to go into more detail but I will say that I would do business with them in the future.

Maybe Josh shoots off the cuff too much but overall I don't have any real complaints.
1276  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners (Scrypt ASIC seller) independent feedback thread on: May 15, 2014, 07:12:12 PM

Flipside, people will be hesitant to deal with Gridseed in the future and they may have signed their own death certificate in the industry.  Other chips are coming and they pissed off a LOT of people.

Nah, as long as they offer a compelling product with a good $/MHs they will sell more.

No shit! Wow, I'm on the wrong fucking side of this thing because I'm not driving that sex machine around  Cry
1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 15, 2014, 04:25:35 PM
OK, latest version working now but I still get stuck with the new job_id and work_id stalls stacking up and then the miner is eventually reset (I have it set at 120.) What's going on?
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 15, 2014, 03:44:38 PM

That's not windows ready though right? I'd have to compile it myself from the binary which I'm not so keen on doing if it's been done already. The reason I need this is because I'm getting the 10 minute no-hash thing going where it just keeps getting new work_id but not submitting. I have the reset going but that takes awhile to ramp up to full speed and it happens way to often.

Scroll to bottom of page, under binaries.

Thanks.

Will "Buy Back" continue to only apply to those who have hosted miners?  If you took delivery, it won't ever apply?

That's correct

where do we get information on Buy Back? how does it work?

Hey GAW, you guys should put a FAQ in the first post instead of making people read the whole thread. Just an idea.
