I highly appreciate every PM I get with info about legitimacy of LTCgear, everything you guys dig-up is precious. I've never wanted to be the one to take it down, especially being highly invested as you all know. Now, loosing everything I guess I am everybody's enemy for criticizing LTCgear.
LTCgear's privacy procedure was my main concern when joined 5 weeks ago. No 2FA? Just email password. I know people invested hundreds_k of $ in this. Just one-time password?? Look at me. I lost what? 10-11 BTC, if you have 100, what will you do?
Of cause I am spamming, wanting to price go lower as you all know, god forbid, I can even sell you anything, but my opinion...
Sorry this happened to you but it's ignore time because you're whining too much.

I fear we are building his product for him as we speak, liken it to a Sam's Club or Costco, with membership and card in hand. Bulk buying power at work. If he signs up 1 million users and controls them and can dictate how and where they can shop via the browser plug-in, one might assume any vendor might come rushing to him to have him direct his customer base to their store(s).
The farcical state of the matter is how exceedingly contra to crypto currency it all is.
Exactly. We're looking at a centralized shop loyalty coupon system. Everything we know of in fiat world (know your customer practices, locking of accounts, full regulation) is replicated here. The only thing crypto is that GAW has used crypto enthusiasm to collect money that nobody would ever give to them under any other pretext. Yep, it's Shoprunner for crypto but this one will not work most of the time and over promise and under deliver. Shoprunner is a real company doing something that actually give you something (like faster/cheaper shipping) and the company is backed by Kynetic, Alibaba, and American Express. I don't think Mt. Gaw can compete with that.

If this payment system is not backed by FDIC or SIPC I wouldn't go near it at all. They can't pull this off without attracting regulator attention so it should get interesting. If they were smart they would try to hoodwink some smaller bank or credit union to back this so they can get some legitimacy into it.
I love the idea, just not the shady company trying to pull it off. Forget about the buying stuff, the payments from BTC to other parties like credit cards and other bills is a good idea.

You misunderstand the purpose of the plug in. The plug in makes it appear when you browse say Amazon.com, that the prices are in BTC or Paycoin. click buy whatever product it, converts it on the fly, pays out to Amazon.com in dollars and debits your BTC or Paycoin account. As you indicate. No real point to it other than to make it appear as so. IF and let us see them grab this idea as I propose it, if as a collective there is a discount in bulk buying or buyers brought forward by paybase, it could make sense that you use this illusion. Otherwise you would be better off buying from Amazon directly with dollars. It is all an unnecessary step simply to make it all appear as though you are using a crypto currency to buy anything from anywhere. Someone somewhere has to take a piece of the pie to convert the crypto currency and pay out on the back end in dollars.
Amazon affiliate payments might provide say a 1-2% discount for buyers if GAW gives back. Remember where you heard this idea first!

The rose-colored glasses on HT peeps is incredible. So the first comment on the WSJ announcement/article is officially trolling according to HT: "There is a troll on the first comment there." And the first comment is: "Be sure to look at other forums and not just the official GAW forum to get a better idea of the company." Not sure how that comment qualifies as trolling exactly but I guess anything that doesn't say how awesome GAW is "is" trolling. See what I did there

Aww, isn't that thread cute pandageekflameandthewholepolishgawfanclub trying to redefine the word "will". Doesn't get better than that. Seriously I sometimes think that some of GAW supporters on BCT are double agents. No one could be so dumb to cling to obviously false statements with such fervor. If they really had GAW's best interest in mind they would just shut up in situations like this and when these Amazon/Target/etc partnerships actually happen they could ride back in on their high horses yelling "Eat it FUDsters!!!". Of course that would require brains, patience, and the promises to be true. Reminds me of this guy...

And this is come kind of alt-church thing (but Jesus based) but not a Ponzi that I can tell. Again, leave religion and family out of this because there is enough real stuff going on you don't have to go there.

One question: Has anyone verified Mr. Fraser's referenced LinkedIn account data is in fact real? Kind of a second/related question: Has anyone contacted Mr. Frazer directly and/or Cantor Fitzgerald to get some clarity on their respective observations of the current situation? Scott- Scott - this is his account. He has a professional reference from someone who worked with him at Cantor and is connected to other Cantor employees. OK, thanks for verifying. Scott- I think you guys are taking this to new levels of crazy. While I agree things might not be what they seem and there has been lies and manipulation this thread has started getting very personal attacking individuals, family members, etc. You are not the Internet police and you should be very careful when you are messing with someones livelihood.

I'm curious what this HashStaker is going to do. On Black Friday, GAW will change the industry forever. It's really quite simple. You give GAW your money and they give you the promise of profit. PromiseCoin!

I'm not sure a press release on the wires is considered a paid advertisement. Anyway, I love the comments on there! If they got any more positive there would be rainbows and hand-jobs for all!

Did you guys ever see this? I asked Josh about it on Hashtalk but It was removed Immediately and I was banned. Go figure. Oddly enough, around that time, the same credit card I used to buy my "hashlets" was used somewhere on the east coast for all kinds of crap. Doesn't matter because its insured and obvious fraud so the bank took care of it but... I had fraud on a card I used at GAW as well. I cancelled it after the alert and had a new one sent.

That was kind of expected after the CEO said he needs to stop mentioning those companies due to NDAs. What's more interesting is the reaction on HT, where posters either try to discredit CF or even deny that those retailers were ever mentioned. Looks like history can be rewritten after all. https://hashtalk.org/topic/19352It is unbelievable the whitewashing of this. He said it and we all read it. Bunch of noobs over there with their heads up their butts.

Got my payment this night. Everything is correct, except affiliate shares missing. Last purchase was on Tuesday. How long does it usually takes? My first affiliates appeared next day as ON_HOLD and were processed in a week.
Affiliate shares/payout on Sunday.

Their scrypt payout has pretty much evaporated.
Yeah it's kind of stinky now

I can tell you as of this morning, we are producing almost twice the payout amounts we need to meet the requirements of our customers.
This last part is irksome because you have not "adjusted" payouts on Zenpool or lowered maintenance fees even though both have been discussed. Surely you have achieved scale enough to bargain for cheaper electricity rates that should be passed along to the miners. You are correct in this. I have am planning on changing this entire structure very soon. I am making all the maintenance changes at one time. Thank your for answering the question
