Still no action on my refund for a batch 2 VB Mini. The ticket (#24766) was submitted on August 18th and I've updated it a couple of times to get things moving. Josh said he would expedite processing of batch 2 refunds but here I am still waiting.

That thread is a gold mine  tl;dr CEO is offering refunds via PM. CEO has contacted NiceHash to find a solution and also said "a deal is in the works" in response to someone's suggestion that GAW should buy NiceHash. "If I had our hashing power pointed, it would blow the pool [NiceHash] up. And the profits would be peanuts." ... "I considered pointing my hashing power there to make a point. But wont out of respect for Nice Hash". ... "You will see the payouts on nice hash after we removed it. Just watch". ... "Just know, I did not make the decision lightly, I was up most of the night thinking about it. I know many of you would be upset. But I just can not put the future of our system at risk. I knew as soon as it got at that you could do this, more people with start trying. Listen everyone. We have ALWAYS done right by you. I am about to upgrade a Hashlet that was purchased for $16 (in some cases less) to 30-40GH, which is worth twice as much. Where do you think the money to buy that hashing power comes from? Or profits. My point is, it does not makes sense to invest in to our customer and business they way we do, to then just screw everyone over one pool. So please, think about this before you post." ... "the real solution is our own rental/pool service. Which is coming." Without the ability to resell hashlets they are worth exactly what was paid for them so that argument does not hold water. In the topic of scamming, some of you said GAW can't be legit, because their pool has higher payouts than others.
Other pools like nice hash are now paying even more. Any new conspiracy theories?
LOL - did you not read the last few pages? That's been discussed. No I didn't. I saw this and logged in here to post, because I remembered you used to talk about it. So you think this is due to somebody trying to cheat them? Interesting. It's just a proof of concept. I doubt you could actually make money from it, unless you own > 10k hashlets. NiceHash often has spikes of high profitability and has had them long before Hashlet. When GAW decoupled their third-party-pool-based payouts from actually mining on those pools they opened themselves up to this kind of risk. Now they are showing how they deal with this, by removing anything that's too profitable. If they actually mined there this wouldn't be an issue. |

We would have rewarded you well but you posted it on bitcointalk so we are not helping you or rewarding you. I was not looking for a reward as much as I was looking to get my testing funds back. Frankly they may have been robbed a lot of btc. As nicehash has had some wild crazy high payouts on sha256. At times 2x the norm I am pretty sure they were being exploited in that pool as I was able to duplicate the method of attack at my own expense.
GAWMiners have just taught people to abuse vulnerabilities instead of reporting them  I just want to know how on earth do you have -539 trust lol i seen it and spit out my irish coffee That's a long story... you can search here and you'll find it. |

I find a huge fucking problem that could have cost them countless coins.. I believe they have been robbed with this flaw since some patterns on nicehash/westhash were weird and I get this in his pm's I think he got my emails. Here is part of one I sent. Its normal you never heard about it since the company is still new.
the activation take about 15 minute to get your code in e-mail.
then before getting the morning payout, your hashlet need to do a full 24h working and then the magic start to come after that.

If that's the deal we get... I'll be beyond pissed. That would put batch 1 people almost 4x ahead of us for paying 20-30% more. Would make absolutely no sense...
Now... it's a free giveaway.. So it could be because of that. While we have already pre-ordered and paid. So, IMO that's worth more obviously.. But wow.. Good god I hope that's not the conversion.
I did not but I don't think you should be surprised by this, you should expect it and if something better happens you'll feel pretty good. VB purchases, batch 1 and 2 essentially funded the development of hashlets it seems and if the real VB ever sees the light of day I'd be pleasantly surprised. Of course without and info either way my guess is and good as anyone else until Josh decides to put real info out there. Yea, trying to remain positive but the above conversion ratio scares the crap outta me... We'll see soon enough (i hope). Did you get a refund on your VB? Nope still waiting on Josh's brother or cousin Carlos to get back to me. On another front, nice payout on Zen today; it's up a bit from where it's been lately. Nicehash has been on fire lately too; I'm betting it's going to get a price increase because of that. Also, what's up with the Hashgear?? Really, really?? I can not understand how someone with 28.5 BTc would not use an escrow to buy hashlets. I think this was staged to stop selling hashlets for $27 when GAW is asking close to $50 now, nice way to try and control market price and also put fear into the picture. Economics 101 at its finest.
You know what was staged? Your troll post here. Dude, just stop and let it go if you think he's trolling. GAW doesn't need your help and you won't get any brownie points for posting this. They ARE using economics to slow down the purchases of primes just as they've stated before when they did the first price increase. There's nothing secret here and it's perfectly fine for GAW to do this so slow your roll. |

It was about that but not the first one I've gotten. It was clear to me that I was on the edge so I jumped! The post was deleted but then put back but I deleted it before I deleted the account. I do like that you can delete an account as a user, kinda nice feature. The sky is falling... never pictured you getting on the CEO's bad side... I think Josh is an OK guy, we just disagree on this one issue and he didn't feel like hearing my bitching any more. I can see his side but I'm not so certain he sees mine in this hence the problem. |

I preemptively deleted my account over there. There is no honest discussion just a bunch of ass kissers not asking the right (or any!) questions. The down votes are almost as bad as posting something critical on Reddit. Just ridiculous. They also can't take a fucking joke.

Trying to go about it more diplomatically than you tho:P they haven't even made a decision yet - you never know man. I replied to my weeks old "I want a refund to my credit card for my VB" ticket today to reignite it. Well they said they would honor those requests more easily now. Hopefully they give you some inside info to encourage you to keep it. Lol, well maybe if I start screaming in multiple threads here about how they scammed me out of 15 thousand dollars like that one jackass but beyond that I doubt it. Josh does read this thread but meh, I'm not going to slam them about other things that have nothing to do with what I feel is right. They never said they would do anything but the expectation was set when they 1:1 batch 1s with Hashlets. Then the price increase. Then the silent treatment on batch 2. Then another price increase. Then the you'll get it delivered when we originally said we would in Q4. Then the "landscape has changed" posts; I mean wtf was that supposed to mean for the batch 2 people. That one did it, I do not want to even feel like I'm holding the bag on that one. I'd rather have a bird in the hand at this point. Oh yeah, then another price increase. I know Josh is well aware of our worries with batch 2... And frankly, he's so nonechalant about it it's almost making me think he has a surprise for us... Kinda like, they'll see soon enough. Least that's what I'm thinking right now. You have to admit they have done pretty well with everything thus far.. I just don't see them alienating (see what I did there) us batch 2 folks. We put faith in them just the same as batch 1. 90% of me believes they will take all that into account and do what's fair. I'm tired of the asymmetrical information and operating in the dark. It's just as easy to make a decision/plan about batch 2 as it was with batch 1. While delivery was always going to be later, we paid at the same time. So, it's the deal batch 1 got like winning the fucking lottery and the non-deal we got that was like stepping in fresh dog shit barefoot - but it's also the lack of clear information on this that really chaps my ass. |

I did, it was post number 2 then the down votes came and a stern warning.
