No one got rich playing safe.

I'll invest and if it goes wrong, so be it.

The potential upside is too great to ignore. I don't fancy working until I am 70 so I will invest (not just in crypto) continuously through my working life until there is no need to be a slave anymore.

Or you could earn and keep in in the bank. Your choice.

Oh, this thread is getting bigger and bigger!

Anyways, is it relatively safe to move my entire savings into Bitcoin? I want help from experts about this..

Nothing is safe! Fiat isn't safe. Bitcoin is high risk but could be high reward. Only invest what you can afford to lose.

Same old saying.

Yeah he did predict the top unfortunately. Got to give him that one!

I hope the bottom is wrong.

People are worrying that a $50 increase is too fast during the recent pump and this supposedly means it'll correct.

How can btc increase on a large scale without big increases? I'll be 200 years old if we have slow steady growth from now until glorious wealth and security.

How can something increase in value without causing instability in the market?
1326  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: July 12, 2015, 08:13:39 PM
Or people have made their sidebet on Monero when it still was cheap  Grin

hm? It's not cheap any more?

Now, yes.

When BTC hits $1Million, probably not.

If BTC hits 1m I will be richer than anyone I've ever met. I struggle to comprehend this.

Do we know who that 10kbtc went to? Are they holding or did they cash it out for $25?

Love to know more of the story!

laszlo first to buy pizza with Bitcoins agreeing upon paying 10,000 BTC for ~$25 worth of pizza

I bet he still has indigestion from eating that pizza! lol

He commented on it in the past and seemed very sanguine about it. Who knows, maybe all the stuff that subsequently panned out wouldn't have happened without it. It was a pivotal moment in its own way.

Mr pietila,

What tax implications do you think will be set up for people in the future who don't cash out btc to fiat?

For example I make...let's say £500,000 from 100btc (which I don't have but is an example) in the years down the line.

I then am able to buy a property WITH btc. How can that be taxed?

Thanks.

lol, I am kicking my own ass right now for selling 1 BTC Friday at 287.00  Cry  but I owed the household money for electric from mining... for the last few months... was under pressure from my better half... lol oh well what's 23.00 bucks anyways these days.....

I think this could be the start of a rapid climb... But I am not writing off a last minute deal with Greece just yet?

I personally think there will be no Greece deal.
1331  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 12, 2015, 12:23:36 PM
Without me reading back through the thread..

Why is this happening? Who's buying? I haven't seen this for a while.

This is a great Sunday!!

Any discussion on this subject is pointless. The "team" that rocked - failed us. Lots of promisses, nice colorful diagrams and pictures of shaking hands and smiley faces ...
If someone really cared from the "team" this problem would have been solved by now. The "boys" had an idea, tried to rase some money, ( i guess they failed in that too ) and decided that the sceam did not work ... so they abandoned it and mooved on to some "real life isues" ... good night.

Nice of you lionheart to try to keep the spirit high, but this is the end of the line for this train.

Someone had to say it I guess
1334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2015, 11:06:33 AM
I haven't checked the price this morning until just now. Damn! Nice surprise.

Exactly what I thought. What a nice Friday treat! Exciting too. Litecoin money moved to btc?
1335  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rally!!!!! on: July 07, 2015, 10:26:53 PM
If Chinese money goes to BTC... we will be on the moon very soon

Why aren't the Chinese buying btc then? I believe there was a ban. Hasn't this been lifted? Wish they'd bloody hurry up
1336  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 07, 2015, 10:24:31 PM
First the Cypress pump now the Grease pump. Is anyone else starting to feel as though Bitcoin is being manipulated to seem like its responding to current events? We all know the Greeks weren't actually buying. Right?

What exactly are you getting at then? Who, why would "they" deceive this way?
1337  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: July 07, 2015, 11:33:46 AM
I hope this happens in 17 years. Life goal = retire at 50.

It would close to impossible not to sell when getting into big $$. Could you hold out until $1m per btc?
1338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 07, 2015, 11:28:52 AM
Disappointing that we seem to be getting dumped on. Really hope we can hold in the 260's. I don't want to see 250's & 240's ever again to be honest. The next move is kind of critical, I have literally no idea which way we'll go though.
It doesn't seem as clear as it was looking a day or two ago.
Zoom out. Look at the 3day or even the week line. Then you will have a better idea.
I agree, the 1w MACD is looking good right now, it's going to be interesting to see what happens when the lines finally cross... we're almost there  Shocked

Can someone explain what the 1w MACD is please?

Thanks

Well I wake up this morning to find no moon.
