1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think that this is aperfect analogy of how gambling addiction starts? on: December 06, 2023, 08:24:30 PM
What that start gambling addiction is not about people that do not understand probability. When I was addicted, I understood everything and how I can lose, but I want to earn and make daily income from gambling. I thought I was better and looking for ways to earn money from it, but at the end, it was not a good story at all and I had to quit gambling for a year. This makes me think that others that are addicted is because they want to make money from gambling, looking for different strategies to increase the probability to earn than losing as I did when I was addicted but still nothing worked out as planned but losing money frequently.
Gambling addicts indeed have everything as regards to knowledge and risks of losing at all times but still choose to look away from that and continue to gamble even at a loss,  this is significantly visible in many of the addicts and just as you have shared your experience of what it was like and what prompted your decision to gamble at all time,  it more clear to say that not only the none understanding of how the probability fairs system works but it goes beyond that to the extent at which greed to make a profit by all cost and also chasing after loses have been the most attributes that slide gamblers into addictions at some points.
1342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Investing - DCA on: December 06, 2023, 07:57:44 PM
Buy now with all the money you have that you do not need instead of investing in altcoin, waiting for it to pump and trying to buy Bitcoin. The price may currently be high, but it will inevitably be much lower than what the price will be in the coming months, so investing now in Bitcoin may not be a high-risk investment. Compared to 4.75% interest
Perfectly said,  investing in Bitcoin is the best and least risky investment at this point,  much more effective than all the altcoins put together at most,  altcoins are nothing but gamble because there are no assurances in them and most times they are just a waste of time and money because most of them have ended up as lost or becoming worthless in the investors wallets,  so anyone who makes a good profit from altcoins investment is just lucky to have taken advantage at the peak of their price and as soon as they're done with the market rally their price will always slide back.

So for sure putting a large amount of your leftover funds in Bitcoin will be the best decision to take as an investor and also making sure to only invest a significant small amount of good altcoins also is good that is if you must invest in them at all.
1343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling FOMO like I am? on: December 06, 2023, 07:46:34 PM
Anyone else feeling same way?
Anyone that knows about bitcoin that its price is going to be over $100000 this time will fomo.
First bitcoin has always been an object of FOMO even if you have a lot of it started already,  but much more for low-income individuals who choose the long-term Bitcoin accumulation path and with a low cash flow, it is just a natural phenomenon with Bitcoin.

If you have the fear of losing out it then means that you are still a human and it is your natural considering the kind of information that you are open to,  makes it very easy for you to experience that FOMO feeling and you shouldn't hit yourself for feeling so and if you have some spear cash received you may go ahead to hold more Bitcoin instead of stable coins or fiat.
1344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price guess, 2023 on: December 06, 2023, 07:31:07 PM
Well, how things are Going , I can say that my estimate for this year will be that bitcoin could reach $50k, that is a very Probable price. If things are going well right now, it may be that the price is very feasible. , but you can't wait for what is said here, we have to Continue reviewing what is happening in the world, how the big Investors see finance , or those who always believe in bitcoin that they are or Who Always keep faith in this.

I say that people spend more Money in December than in any other month of the year , because it is a month where they get used to Spending more on clothes, clothes, for the family, very good meals and that is what we have to be Seeing so that it can happen at Christmas, the price can grow , the chances are very high , I think that things can Happen like this, but Anything that is of global interest can change everything for better or Worse.
Before the D day of Christmas I am sure we may have a market movement that will signify a lot of things as to which direction Bitcoin will take before the halving cycle is reached and what becomes our faith on when to see the Bitcoin's all-time high price,  and since that be the case we may see bitcoin price crossing the $50,000 benchmarks before the end of December as many are already preparing for the holidays a lot of trades will take place and the demand for Bitcoin will indeed increase to a point at which we can rightly be positioned for a pre halving bull market.

Although many other market speculators are predicting that bitcoin price will decrease a bit before the halving some are still speculating that we may see a $30,000 price again before the halving occurs,  but we are not certain on that yet.
1345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is the only currency that has grown the most!! on: December 06, 2023, 07:23:13 PM
At present, there are many altcoins in the crypto market and they have grown a lot. But it has gone down and gone again, but Bitcoin is the only currency that hasn't gone down yet, instead, it's going up. I've noticed that Bitcoin has grown the most over the past couple of days, but altcoins haven't grown as much in comparison. Currently, we see the Bitcoin market above $44000, I think it will bring $45000 very soon. Will Bitcoin Touch $50,000 By This December?  What do you think about the way the Bitcoin market is currently growing?
Bitcoin party just started and I can assure you that,  we will be having a lot of exciting experience as the market keep growing and that can help a lot even though it seems that at that point it will become very expensive for those who just got in at fresh,  but then Bitcoin is a journey that requires a lot of patience and long term experience,  but in general bitcoin is an exciting investment journey that gives us the double gains of having to build knowledge around it and also make some visible profits along the line.

So not right for us to categorize Bitcoin in the class of other cryptocurrencies since Bitcoin is the primary coin and also the king of the industry,  all other altcoins are just in for short-term speculation and hypes,  many times we have to look at some obvious fact about Bitcoin before we associate it to other crypto.
1346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 06, 2023, 06:55:07 PM

You are right, I totally overlooked that Manchester City is on a streak without winning and this could probably be the fourth game in a row without a win. I wonder when this happened to them the last time. But it is encouraging to see that Manchester City can't just destroy every team in the Premier League this season. Chelsea fought back, Liverpool and Tottenham and it would be quite revealing if Manchester City does not win the game against Aston Villa because not winning any of the games against the top teams from the Premier League could provide some insight into their chances in the Champions League as well. This year won't be easy for them.
Well, a lot has been wrong with Manchester City in this season and their performance in the champion League and the Premiere Ship have been below their usual standard play I don't know why their performance declined a lot this season and there has not been any attempt to recover the club even as their players line up have a lot of good players on the ground but still yet their performance has been either a lose or multiple draws,  this 2023-2024 season have been the worst season for the club and if things don't change for Manchester City their may lose out completely and the reason will either be that the will power to sustain the title in man city have been lost and if care is not taken,  in the next season Manchester city may lose out in the top 5 on the list.

Maybe this season we will see more of clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool to rule the season and also Beyarn Munich also is a top club also that will destabilize Manchester City's position in this season and the seasons ahead.
1347  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ Shuffle.com | The next generation of crypto casinos | Sports, Casino + token on: December 06, 2023, 05:15:26 PM
I only like football sports betting which is often bet on, there are other sports I myself don't like but other people will stick with sports betting contests.

Especially in December there are so many football matches scheduled every week.
Users can participate with any sports bet including football. More details coming soon. No worries.
Little Mouse this information is very helpful and on time,  because at the moment I am considering giving shuffle sports bookies some look in the coming weekend since this is league season and we have some exciting games lined up in the various leagues.

I will keep an eye on this thread to know when you drop the details and with regards to the promo on sports bets and also if there are any other bonuses for forum members registering on the casino.
1348  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: December 06, 2023, 04:11:34 PM
Unless for scam casinos who may deliberately lock a person out and for some reason to scam the gambler such as in cases with 1xbits unless that,  if not KYC is a prerequisite for higher wagerers.

There's nothing to doubt about that, there are untrustworthy gambling casinos one must surely avoid when choosing which to use while gambling, there are many gamblers who encounter with some casinos where they will have to lock and ban their account just in other to ensure that they were unable to make withdrawals of their funds, some will even place demands in asking the gambler to make deposit or pay a particular amount for violating the rules as a sanction.
Yes agree with the fact that we need to avoid casinos that deliberately scam their users, there are the bad actors in the market that have given a lot of other legit casinos a bad name and that is not acceptable for such a time like this,  when we have some other provable and legit casino,  so for sure any casino that ask it users to pay a certain amount as penalty is obviously a scam casino already and should be avoided by all means possible because putting up such an act is a pour signed of potential exit scam on the user.

Although I have not heard anything of such before and if that be it,  it means that 1xbit or any casino that asks its clients to pay to get their verification through should be reported and avoided by all means just as we have done with 1xbit here in the forum.
1349  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Is Bitcoin Price Increasing? on: December 06, 2023, 04:03:15 PM

The market is often crazy, it reacts as it likes and the person with an in-depth insightful thought would always make their money for they would always outsmart it. Did you know that if not for this time of the season and in the Bitcoin cycle where halving is much anticipated Bitcoin wouldn't have reacted this much to ETF headlines and expectations? This is how the market is, it goes with some kind of strange mood as long as it sees the right sentiment to back it up. For real, the FOMO is pumping the market so well, it might reach $45,000 which I least expected this year. In my wildest dreams, I never thought that Bitcoin could reach $40,000 in 2023, not to talk of the level of $44,000 which it comfortably seated above now.
Yeah Bitcoin market have really done a lot of rollercoaster movement to the point that none can really anticipate which direction the price will go,  and since Bitcoin price react to a lot of sentiment as a direct propeller to it price movement this made it easier for Bitcoin price to react positively to the Bitcoin ETF news even though it has not been confirmed yet,  most time we tend to forget the fact that Bitcoin is an unpredictable assets when it comes to it value movement, so for that,  any one who is in for the short term price speculation must be ready to take some accurate and on time actions that reflect direction of sentiment as inline with their DCA approach or formula.

Take those that bought Bitcoin while it price was at it lowest point in the last discount touch where Bitcoin slumped and stayed below 20k region for a while before it start recovering to this present point,  by now if those who bought at that $15k-20k price benchmark are already in 1x+ gains at the present moments as Bitcoin have reached 45k+ already.
Quote
As everyone can see, it's an obvious bullishness for Bitcoin and I am glad that I made my long-analysis on it in October before all these and also advised those who had not started buying it to buy and DCA if that was what they could resolve to. It's all bullish and I can't doubt it if someone predicts that it will reach $50,000 before the end of this year. However, this might spell unforgeable doom for the coin since it's deviating from the widely expected pattern, and it might start so urgently if ETF is rejected. Well, let's see how thing unfolds and let us use our charts to guide and educate ourselves accordingly even as we make the right investment plans.
At this moment,  we can't declare Bitcoin bullisness as you call it because at some point,  45k price is still a recovery phase for us here and at that will wait to see Bitcoin touche at least 55k price benchmark before we can boldly declare the start of a bull market again and which I doubt if we can reach that price before the month of march-appril when the Bitcoin halving will occurs.

They will surely get that chance and I'm pretty sure that lightlord may need some good and active members on his side so that the acceptance process will be faster I guess. He's a busy guy and a team will back-up him when he's inactive. I guess he's soon going to add all those members who will work on the project and make it valuable with their contribution.  The site is quite old and that's enough to convince the community that it will be a good choice for them to retry a project that has been there since 2015.
Yeah, the admin Lightlord has been actively up and going in the running of this project for a year and for me to ask for other team members in my earlier comment doesn't really mean there are not likely been other team members who may have been acting behind the scenes and for sure will be supporting Lightlord but then also here in the forum,  only lightlordis know as representative of both projects and that is not healthy enough in terms of activeness and responses to comments and discussions as their goes on here in the thread.

On the token launch,  we may see the other team members being listed on the projects whitepaper which should be unveiled as time goes on and we will be seeing much of them at some point because a lot of members here will be interested in knowing quad up the team behind the token before we can invest in those token as early investor.

This thread is getting a lot of support and discussions is ongoing at least OP should give us an update on how things are going I remember you sent me a message about linking up with casinos so how is it are you successful linking up and are you getting positive response from the casinos that you asked to link up, Bitcointalk community is all out in support of your cause.
I hope you get all the support from the majority of the casinos so you can support those who require help with gambling addiction, keep us updated for any developments.
The ops was last active on the 5th of December but the last comment on this thread from the ops was on the 15th-11 which is a long time ago and for sure with the space in time,  a lot has been discussed on this thread and for such will require some answers, anyways maybe op is taking his time to put out the reply to some of the comments and at such will not want to rush things since the thread already reserved positive responses from members of the forum since its creation as the service borders around what concerned many of us here as gamblers.
1352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigeria socialite went all in on this sport bet on: December 05, 2023, 11:59:16 PM
Knowing well the kind of person E money is, i don't think he can go to that length in faking things for us just to imprest the people by living a fake life, am not siding him because anyone can do thesame or even worse framing lies,
Most of the ones who are there on social media are faking it any way. However in this context, I will talk about a youtuber who goes with the name "Hypalinx" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLyZl50t77Yxkr7Lywuesaw

This guy shows his losses and profits in gambling career and obviously the first one exceeds the other. His channel shows that he is an addicted gambler but he tries to keep it under control while playing at times and keeping his viewers happy. Of course he is getting paid from youtube and Twitch earnings but these are people who keep it real and minimize the faking.

So where is the difference? Hypa have only 57.6k subs on youtube while these scumbags have way more followers on twitter.
We still have a num of them that keep things real and won't fake things on social media just to gain views,  likes and comments,  this is not true with some of them because for some one like E Money, he is too big to fake such an amount in bet even though the source of the news are good at putting up unverified content,  it still ball down to the individual involved and what he has been known to do at all time with his elusiveness in the way he fan Chelsea even though the club have under performed a lot in the last few seasons.
1353  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: December 05, 2023, 11:49:18 PM

There is no significant difference. Both sites are operated by the same company, 1xCorp N.V., or something like that.
The only differences are in the frontend design and the fact that 1xbit does not have a license, so it operates illegally.

Quoted message: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5412793.msg60900509#msg60900509

So they are really that having on the same company but having on that different management but still
it isn't just that wise that you do make yourself getting involved with these shady sites and better to avoid it at all cost
or if you don't really like to experience some headache.
Oh thanks for pointing me to that thread,  I have read through that thread before but I have forgotten and at such could have missed out on other features of both sites that link them to each other,  mostly in the way and manner I operate and for sure by now there will be a lot of comments on that thread that would have exposed more about the two sites and his there have violated the players right on several cases.

But,  we warn newbies to avoid both casinos since there are high chances of becoming one of their scam victims no matter how popular one of them is in our countries,  the fact still remains that,  their scam casinos and bad actors to the market.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: December 05, 2023, 11:10:15 PM

It is unfortunate but an uncontrollable urge that some gamblers fall into. One of the major reason for taking loan in gambling is where the gambler has lost out but he is trying to come back into the game. This is the real factor that causes it. Ordinarily, gamblers don't begin their game with loan but they are forced to do that because of the losses that they begin to chase in the middle of the game. I have seen seen many like that in offline gambling places that ended up dropping their iPhones and android phones to come back at a later day to retrieve their phones when they pay up their debts. So loses can make a gambler without control to take loan and at the end they end up not having back the loses they were chasing. Gamblers need to learn to let go when it doesn't go their way.
Sometimes,  those gamblers who are fun of taking loans to gamble with are not mostly in losses or trying to chase after their losses,  but almost their greedy and have overconfidence and the ability to make winnings at all times.

I wonder how they have forgotten about the sad reality of gambling which is that,  gambling is an unpredictable event and at that, its outcome can't be predicted,  but we are always learning not to take gambling as a means of making ends meet so for that we have to avoid taking loans just to gamble with and expecting to win and being able to pay back that loan through the winning.
1355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Is Bitcoin Price Increasing? on: December 05, 2023, 11:01:47 PM
[

It may be that the price of bitcoin is rising because demand has increased , there are more people who want to buy bitcoin because they know that it is a great investment, and with everything that can be achieved when buying right now and hoping to sell much more late, for example, buy now and wait until the end of 2024, you would be making a lot of money, this is a lifelong investment, where the more time passes, the more strength the investment takes because the better price it takes, this is what is expected all the time to be done, based on how much they think about why ? It could be because the investors have planned it that way, if the big investors who are the ones with the most money see it that way, we who buy little by little because we must follow the big ones.

That is the fundamental foundation of Bitcoin price increase,  because only when the demand increases that guarantee the price to increase and that is what has an impact much more on our understanding of how and what makes Bitcoin price increase or decrease because when demand increases,  the commodity will become scarce and at that point, the value will automatically increase which will give birth to a competitive price.

Quote
Those who follow the big ones do well buying , and selling when they sell, that is the only way I have seen that they can Achieve the things they want, you only have to Follow those who know and those who know know that there is still a long way to go to go up.
We call such approach,  the DCA approach and this is the most effective way to accumulate both bitcoin and the dollars at the same time using same formula DCA,  with that too are sure that you may have short term Bitcoin price speculations and buying vs selling at regular proportions.

1356  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Wetin look genuine no genuine for nija on: December 05, 2023, 10:49:22 PM
I have been thinking,  of going on a social media break again at least for now until all this social media war has been properly handled things like this are what make the social media law very important and needed to give the government the framework of things and how to properly manage all the messages that are speculated through social media within the country.

Also just like one member mentioned,  whatever you see a fake copy,  there is an original copy of such because the conditional money transfer is a federal government/CBN initiative so scammers already know that Nigerians are desperately searching for means to ease their economic condition and because of that,  they can take risk in believing things like this, even without proper findings or investigations,  so scammer has found that as an avenue to exploit and work on the gullibility unsuspecting members of the society.

I used to receive such offers from many of them,  but most times,  I already know how to identify and block them outright to avoid any conversations with them.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sympathetic gamblers looses itself on: December 05, 2023, 10:29:45 PM
No matter how much you lost on gambling, I ain't got that time for petty sentiments, all in the name of regrets or pity for you... I believe that nobody needs to tell you at that point to forsake so many unnecessary spendings, including gambling....(cus I believe a gambler would always carryon and spend on other irrelevancies extravagantly)

The one thing that gives them hope is that -- others are winning, and it'll definitely get to their turn... maybe today, maybe not. How sick that sounds to me...

Sandra 🧑‍🦰
You are correct and the reason being that you only gamble with an amount you can comfortably lose at some point and also you have a long-term experience to know how best to handle gambling losses at some point and most times,  we tend to take the time to build that system that can reflect on our mindset and physical appearance at the time of Unfavourable conditions such as in this case mentioned in the ops.

Gambling with the wrong mentality or under the influence of anything will amount to a total waste of money in the long run,  but much more also is taking gambling as an investment,  such an approach also has wracked a lot of gamblers sliding them either into huge debts or becoming uncontrollably addicted.
1358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling and Invest in gambling. on: December 05, 2023, 10:19:55 PM

Sometimes,  most of those gamblers are already addicted and at that will use even their house or other landed properties as collateral and If they fail to make repayments for the loans,  they automatically forfeit their properties,  so for much as it is given as loans,  it somehow an unknown trap for the gambler to lose something bigger because no lender in their right senses will loan money to a gambler to gamble with without having collateral.
Basically this has become a cycle that will continue to run if the gambler cannot be firm with himself to stop or at least just reduce his gambling activities. There will be no end to gambling involvement because someone who is already addicted will always have a way or even explore many ways just to realize their desires and curiosity about gambling, as you discussed here they are willing to pledge their professional assets or homes just to realize their gambling desires.

So when your hopes and expectations are getting higher and higher in terms of the end result that can make you smile then don't be surprised if people are even willing to do stupid things like that, so it might be very difficult if we just tell them not to be too much because they won't listen to some advice from others and they only focus on their own beliefs. So it's probably too late if you're already in that position, not least because you started with the wrong approach and understanding, simply put "when you lose you get curious and when you win you get addicted" that's gambling.
The first point of battle is battle against one's self and this could possibly be the most toughest battle even though the gambler is willing to quit it has to do with a lot of effort and wellness from the gambler himself to be able to defeat that tendency,  first, one need to have an effective approach to this and in doing that also you have to be convincingly ready to quit the addictions or act.

I can't imagine myself,  quitting active gambling and then embracing the gambling business even if I have all the experience in the world to work with,  many times our experiences may be based on the wrong approach and going with such a mentality will only lead to more devastating outcomes.

Yes we are beginning to experience a new wave of improvement in this project and at some point we are sure that this comeback will give the casino another positive outlook in the market and help the owner to regain the trust of the community,  all that is needed,  is some level of commitment and being active in communication with the community because that is the only way to get their issues resolved at some point.

I believe that they're trying their best to regain the trust of the community and are offering such good things to regain the players attention that they have lost. Bitvest isn't a new name in the industry but still they haven't got a good amount of players due to their weak practices. I believe that they might need some good feedback and some reviews in order to get better. I think the best they can do is to run a review campaign and accept some participants who may share their honest opinion about the site. That way it will be smoother for them to gain some trust from the community and I also believe that they should offer some unique features to get some more attention.
I believe that also and that is why the community is trying to give them a second chance for them to be able to prove themselves to us that their are trust worthy and can make a welcome back that will make a lot of sense with the way lighlord have been actively communicating this day,  but then also we need to see some other members of the team that will join lightlord in running the project because doing so will boost a lot of confident in the project and will help the investors to have other channels to communicate with the team if lightlord become unavoidably unavailable just like what happened some time ago.

But then,  I believe that lightlord will put everything in place that will help him in running the business without any stress since he has long time experience in projects management but then also running a one-man business is not so that easy.
1360  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Opay-Fin Fech Companies Gaining Ground in Nig on: December 05, 2023, 09:13:24 PM
I wish them more success and pray they don't change when they get so big because most of us are increasingly dependent on their good services. Make them no break our heart ooo
I pray they don't change too, but I trust my Naija people once they notice a change in their services in the future everybody go japa leave them na. Opay has to understand that they have competitors out there who are working tirelessly to take them out of the market. I think with this in mind they will keep doing everything possible to keep delivering their best to their customers. I know that periodically they are always doing customer survey to know what their customers thinks about them and how to improve to keep delivering the best.

Opay,, in particular has done well right from time and I can say that there have overcome their worst phase when there was an insider attack on customer details but ever since that security issue was taken care of over 3 years ago,  Opay has been the top-notch and have always been keeping up with current financial demands from the public most especially in the year 2020-2023 their services have improved a lot and that can be also ascribed to the removal of their loan feature because some Nigerians took advantage of that to take loans without any plans of repayments and possibly abounding the loans.

This affected the company's revenue for some time before they finally discontinued the pay loan services and now giving loans from third-party loan companies.

I believe in the next few years from now, pay will be ranked among the top-rated in the country and that can be predicted with the steps the company has taken in terms of infrastructure and other development.
