We had been discussing these decentralized exchanges in great detail about a year ago (just when BTER was hacked in February last year)... Did anything change since then? Since then nothing has been changed, they paid only a small percentage but more than 90%+ is still frozen in their website. |

because many do not have a good computer, and rely on their smarthphone or web wallet, but since smarthphone are not so secure because many user have not experience to keep them secure(dl'in random stuff)
they think that keeping them on a third party is more secure than handling their coins themselves, maybe is true only with web online wallet that have insurance, like coinbase
DO you really think Coinbase is 100% secure due to the insurance? Just a question, not ironic. Nothing is 100% sure, but coinbase has a good reputability, as far as I know if they block your account they will send the remaining funds to an external address! |

If you don't want to spend money on hardware, paper wallet is good choice.
The cheapest hardware wallet as far as i know is the ledger HW.1 which is 15€ it's not expensive saying the truth, then ledger nano, ledger unpluged, trezor, keepkey. My friend bought a ledger nano, but actually I don't know how it works  This is a combinated online/hardware wallet? Or a separate offline wallet? Ledger nano is not independent to work, so you must be set up on a computer you trust 100%, i would consider as a combination of hot and cold wallet. |

I sent About .10 btc to an account that needs 3 confirmations before it shows up.......its be a little over a day and its still unconfirned. When I sent the btc there was only 16 satoshi left in my acct, which blockchain.info took as a fee. That's fine, I would have left more as a fee for them if I knew it was going to be a problem. The account I sent it to only shows the funds available after 3 confirmations, but when I look at the transaction in blockchain wallet it's still unconfirmed. As far as i know ledger wallets and trezor are compatible to be used with or on Mycelium mobile app, so they can work even if ledger or trezor website/servers are down? Please correct me if i am wrong.
