1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China crackdown against gambling streaming on: August 27, 2023, 09:59:40 PM
I don’t see it wrong banning illegal gambling platforms because they can be very tempting for addicted gamblers. But if they will ban those legal and reputable platforms, I guess the problem will start there. However, I don’t think China will end up banning things that will give them bigger benefits. While taxing legal gambling platforms can be a means for country’s profits, so that means China will lose them everything if they put an end to it. I know China is smarter and greedier than any other country, so as long as there are possible profits that they can gain from these gambling platforms, then expect that banning will never be their option, except for those unregistered and illegal platforms that will only scam the gamblers later on.
1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: August 27, 2023, 09:17:58 PM
It is good to have confidence in gambling but there should not be overconfident. It has been found that gamblers who are more confident of winning are more likely to lose. They naturally look at big betting odds and lose huge money any time they make a small mistake. So a gambler must gamble within control. Otherwise he may lose all his wealth. We know that there are wins and losses in gambling but due to some common mistakes we are forced to accept big losses instead of big wins.
Yes, you are right, being overconfident is really not recommended, usually things like that are always problematic, when we feel confident that we can win we bet all in the money to be at stake and end up losing, that's clearly not very good in the end, because it's enough to play like this usually playing gambling you have to be able to control yourself when you win you should stop playing and withdraw to get out of the game.

Withdraw money and stop playing when you win, but sometimes people can't control their greed when they win, that's why it can hinder the big wins we will get, gambling must be able to control yourself, know when to play and when to gamble, bet with wise and in control. like the saying that we often get from this forum.
Well, it’s even harder to control the urge in gambling when you are winning consistently. You can’t simply stop there and go home immediately as you may lose bigger profits ahead. That’s why a lot of gamblers end up losing all their capital and profits instead because they never stop gambling when they are still winning, but have no choice to end up gambling when they actually have no money left to bet. If only these gamblers have in control of their emotions and think of the profits that they will take benefit in the future, they should have learned to stopped when they are still in profits.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 27, 2023, 04:44:40 PM
Maybe Coach Steve Kerr has a plan. CP3 is a top 10 PG in my book, and Curry can't handle point duties all the time due to potential fatigue. Given Curry's skill at off-ball movement, he becomes an excellent target for CP3, who can consistently find opportunities for him to shoot.

I'm unclear about him being relegated to the 2nd unit, as he's a bona fide star player; he might contribute more as a starter, considering his abilities.

Anyway, let's find out together once the season starts.

Paul is undoubtedly one of the best point guards in NBA history,  at least because he ranks third for assists. He is behind only Kidd and Stockton. So, I think it will be interesting to see how the Paul-Curry duo will perform in the upcoming season. Paul will most likely contribute to Curry, as well as Thompson, throwing more wide-open three-pointers.

Expecting him to use his passing IQ to help Both Klay and Steph in finding more open shots, the good thing is defense can't let him
open too since he can also create damages.

With him being added as threat to opposing team in terms of offense the only thing that may trigger is the defense, if both him and Curry inside
the court bigger players can use that as advantage to attack them offensively.

And that is exactly where Green and Wiggins come in, to adjust and to fill hole in their weakness that others might take advantage because they know that CP3 and Curry will be both busy doing their jobs in the attacks and leaving the team vulnerable on their defense. That's just their downfall though but on the bringt side, the Warriors are now stronger compared last season where they had a good run and yet made some expensive mistakes in the post season.
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: August 27, 2023, 03:00:37 PM
Why do we need to use new casino while we already have established casino that already proven to play. The bonus they offer is almost the same. Most of the new casino that offers too good to be true bonuses usually turns out to be scam.
Usually gamblers do that to seek new experiences and luck, sometimes a person needs to try another casino to find his luck, even so it is not required to complete KYC at a new casino, because it is very vulnerable to fraud, as usual new casinos always give bonuses to attract new users to play gambling and seek luck on their site and finally make it difficult for new users to withdraw when they have won big.

I often play in new casinos but as a small gambler I just test the game not expecting to get a big win sometimes when I'm lucky when I win I have to withdraw money, after all small gamblers won't be difficult to withdraw and have to complete KYC, except for big gamblers so never try a new gambling platform to test your luck with a big deposit.

I agree with you on that mate. Having a plenty of casinos to play with isn't really the problem because the problem will only start if you sign on each and every one of them with your confidential information as that path will surely lead you with potential problems specially if you have signed up with the new ones whose security isn't that thick enough to prevent some hackers to phish your information.
1345  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unethical Practices: Involvement of Bots and Fake Accounts for contest/race on: August 27, 2023, 10:21:12 AM
Without any evidence no one is going to take this allegation serious, of course there have been some reports of bit involvement in the game process and the user overall experiences have been manipulated using some special tools like bots that you mentioned but none have been proven with any form of evidence.

So Megaplay will still remain innocent of this allegation until proven guilty and from the look of things,  your claims lack that evidence to prove them guilty,  but it is a good thing that we are discussing this so that gamblers will be aware of such possibilities.
True. All allegations will be pending and on hold until genuine proofs and evidences come out. On the eyes of many gamblers, it looks like  you are ruining the reputation of this casino without providing clear evidences at first. And you can’t blame them for that. However, if these said allegations are true, at least you have created an early awareness not just for regular players in this casino, but as well as those who plan to start gambling in Megaplay.

For now, time is the only ultimate teller. Lets just wait for the real investigations to start so we can also make final judgement on this certain casino if this one is guilty or not.
1346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: August 27, 2023, 09:38:04 AM
To be honest I think I fall under the category of people who don't actually have a certain percentage of my earnings I use for gambling, I mostly just like to flex it thats whenever am feeling like gambling or I have seen a particular game am much interested in, I just go on all out and place my bet depending on the amount I am willing to spare for that moment.
You know that was also like me when I’m still a beginner in gambling. I just gamble whenever I feel the urge, and bet whatever I have extra amount willing to lose. But as I became a regular gambler, I realized I have to set an amount that I intend to use for entertainment, no regret if I lose them all but it would be better if I also make them double or triple the amount. So I decided to play below 10% of my weekly pay, but mostly whenever I’ve seen that there’s no luck coming, probably it all fall down to 5%. And I think that works, my finances are still manageable despite of some consistent losses I’ve incurred.
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 26, 2023, 10:37:36 PM
In my opinion, not really. Games of keno, limbo, dice, etc., are gambling games based on luck. So if you're risking some percentage or just using a small bet, it won't matter. And in this case, your luck comes when you use bigger betting money than before. But maybe some friends can check the calculations because there must be someone very experienced in this matter.

I haven't played craps in a while, so I don't know how it's progressing. I used only to bet small amounts and never raise my stakes because I was too afraid to lose a lot of money.
Yes, these are mostly luck based games so whether you bet a small or a bigger amount, the outcome will depend on how lucky you are, if not you’ll eventually messed up your money. However, for big time players, they never wager small bets so if they luckily won, they will be entitled for a bigger amount of profits. But for those who only wager based on minimal amount, I guess whether it’s a win or loss, that won’t be an issue for them.
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Glitches still affects online casinos? Or it's the casinos that sucks on: August 26, 2023, 09:59:48 PM
Yes, at some point they can be frustrating and may cause depression as well. But what else can we do? There’s no perfect online casinos, or let’s say internet connection has certainly its own flaws too, and we have no control over that especially when it’s the reason to lose our money instantly. That is why never put an amount that you can’t manage to lose, whether it’s technical issue or not, but the fact that you lose your money because of that, then consider it as an inevitable one. Glitches still affects online casinos, and sad to say it’s hard to blame the casinos alone for that.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take to play casino? on: August 26, 2023, 09:33:27 PM
It must have capital Cry

However, which one should you be more dependent on when it comes to making money from the casino!

Is it really good luck for you?
Which basic technique to use?
Casino gambling will never rely on whatever technique or strategy you have, but it’s always dependable on the good luck you possess. That’s the reason why there are actually no pros or veterans in gambling, as gambling will only matter on luck and chances. If you think you are not sensing it the moment you decide to play, then never continue to gamble because you know when you start with consistent losses, then it’s hard to recover again and make you profitable. That is why a lot end up going home empty pockets because they never care to assess theirselves if they can still be lucky or not.
1350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: August 26, 2023, 03:44:11 PM
more correctly. hope for something that will change fate, but hope too much and believe. it will just self destruct in the end. it could be true, superstition and hope this seems to have become a culture of people who want to have great luck. there is no speculation in such a world there is only ruining the wallet
That's why we can't ask them not to believe in such superstitious things but they still can't because it's a part of their culture that they can't be separated from. Those who believe in superstitions think that what they do can sometimes give them victory because several of them have proven it. So there's nothing to keep them from using superstitious things like that as long as they still want to use them. Well, that's okay too because it's based on what they believe and of course, we don't have to think about things like that because we don't believe it ourselves.

But if they have proven it then they can much believe it because it actually works for them because I know in the world today people are basically living by their belief system and if any gambler seem to have a particular believe that works for he or she then maybe the person can even share a bit because I desperately need to believe in it too because my own believe system doesn't work for me again  Grin

Unfortunately, I think that's not how it works because sometimes, if not, most instances, we have our own unique beliefs and if you don't have one then I guess you should find that yourself because in that way, you will know what will work perfectly for you and is the most suitable for you. Knowing that their specific beliefs works to them doesn't really mean that it will also work for you, that is why we should find it on our own.
1351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: August 26, 2023, 02:25:33 PM
So far by the results, it looks like Jerwin Ancajas is the crowd favorite here.

There are still no listing in our favorite sports bookies though, it might take some time, but I'm seeing that this is going to be very close odds as Inoue as a champion might have be the slight favorite here.

Nevertheless, we love to see that, specially backers for Jerwin as he will be a live underdog and we all know that it could be a juicy odds and a good beat for us.

Yes, I surely hope that Jerwin Ancajas will be listed as the underdog and not the defending champion, Takuma Inoue, so that we can fully take advantage of it. And as far as the betting odds are concerned, it's still so early so that might be the reason and since this bout is not that big compared to others, we might see the bookies open the lines in like 3-4 weeks before the actual day of their fight.
1352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 26, 2023, 01:36:58 PM
What do you think about the Warriors signing Blake Griffin to a 1 year deal at the minimum to make a CP3 lob city reunion? I think it’s a great idea from a business perspective and I also think it’s a great use for your final roster spot. CP3 and Griffin definitely have a chemistry that makes them more dangerous when paired together.

https://clutchpoints.com/nba-rumors-warriors-eyeing-blake-griffin-chris-paul-reunion-to-complete-roster

It's a positive move for the Warriors to acquire Griffin, given his popularity even though he's no longer in his prime. However, having high expectations for him seems somewhat unrealistic in my opinion, considering his performance over the last two seasons.

During his time with Brooklyn, he averaged 6.4 points per game, and in Boston, that dropped to 4.1 points per game. It appears he's approaching the twilight of his career. Nevertheless, he now has a chance to compete for a championship with the Warriors, and the encouraging aspect is that he'll do so alongside his friend CP3.

I think that there is still a chance for him to work some things out mainly now that he's already in GSW where Steve Kerr is known to unleash their player's full potential, I know that Griffin's highlights being a scoring machine was already done but I still think that he can do more this time compared to what he had done in the past two seasons where his shadows aren't that exposed in the mentioned teams.
1353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you like to see on betting platforms? on: August 25, 2023, 09:30:25 PM
Have a lot promotions like odds boost, free bet, guessing to earn small amount money or free bet etc.

I also want the bookie can add more event and small league that most of bookies didn't listed, so it will make a group of people who're watching that league might gamble in your bookie. Adding live streaming is another good idea considering few sport isn't free to watch.
If only betting platforms will adopt what you’ve been suggesting, surely the number of bettors will increase at a high speed. But I think they also need bigger capital to make these into reality. And with the tight competition in the betting platforms in the market, it’s hard to take an edge when you’re having a tight budget on running your own platform. However, more promotions and rewards means more potential gamblers will be interested to get in. Especially with free live streaming, this will pave way to make your betting platform becomes more visible especially for those who are still new in betting.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Security measures in casinos are better than exchanges! on: August 25, 2023, 08:32:08 PM
I don’t believe this because as what I’ve noticed, there are also some hacking incidents on gambling sites wherein not only they stole money but also the personal information of the gamblers as well, or they hack some online casinos just to make the games rigged. However, it’s also undeniable that hacking in centralized exchanges is high simply because there is huge money in exchanges. That’s why be cautious not to put all your hard-earned money in exchanges, as they can be very unsafe for fiat or crypto deposits especially on unsecured centralized exchanges.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes the win is right in front of us-little tip to sport bettors on: August 25, 2023, 09:51:53 AM
How many of you overlook this simple fact which can lead to bet wins?

Well we really don't know if we have overlook them until it was too late and our bets lost and then we quickly analyze that like what you said, it was in front of us and yet we might have overlook it.

And this is just one example that when we are really into our sports and been analyzing games, it quite certain that it become overly complicated on our end that we bet on teams that again, we might have overlook resulting in one big lost and regrets on our part.
Exactly. Betting and analyzing which team to bet is still a challenge for all bettors, and since it’s still a game of chance and luck, no one can guarantee if it’s a win or loss. That even by not overlooking those information that you’ve said OP, I still think those are not enough to guarantee your profits. Although sometimes the winning bets are just in front of us, but nobody can tell actually until we see ourselves finally losing our bets.
1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: August 25, 2023, 08:27:27 AM
Gambling sites are not like your bank account that you can safely put your money and save it for future purposes. It’s a site for gambling, so definitely if you deposit your money into it, then it’s for you to gamble and entertain yourself. However, if you tend to gamble almost everyday, then maybe you can deposit your money in advance and save it for your weekly budget. But still, I don’t suggest doing it because gambling sites may easily stop its operation without prior notice. Once the site is closed, I don’t think your money will still be accessible for you.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 24, 2023, 04:00:32 PM
And we have to think about it, Tapales might have a slim chance to unify the belts because he is fighting Inoue. But at least he will give it a shot as he is familiar to be being the underdog again and then pull the biggest surprised.

I don't think it's Tapales who will pull off a surprise by beating Inoue. Inoue is currently in his prime, and he is a very dominant boxer. As we saw in his previous fights, his opponents are even afraid to go toe-to-toe with him, as they know one mistake is likely to result in a knockout loss. Tapales may be too confident because he trusts himself greatly, which is a good quality for a boxer. However, as a fan, we know that Inoue isn't going to take this lightly and Tapales might suffer the same faith of the boxers who tried to challenge Inoue.

Tapales being gutsy will help him in his fight but that doesn't mean that his chances are increasing along with it and I also think that him having this kind of manner is only to help selling the fight as this is his best shot in having the biggest paycheck in his career. So, it may be a win or lose at the end of the day, but it's surely a win-win situation for him and an honor as well because not all boxers had the chance to fight against someone like Naoya Inoue.
1358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS) In Gambling on: August 24, 2023, 03:32:01 PM
Getting a financial advisor isn't cheap because their job is not that easy either and that is why when making a move like this, we should make sure that it's only a temporary situation so that in the long run, we will see our gains instead of only thinking about the funds we're paying for them instead of seeing it as a profit. It will be waste if we're hiring them as long as we're living in this world because we're not on of those billionaire tycoons that are gaining millions even while they are sleeping and isn't that bothered about the fees they are paying for their advisors.
Getting a financial advisor is really wasting money because they only talk about money management, investment (low, middle, high risk), and how to invest. They might not completely understand about each investment they offer, Bitcoin can be an example. They know the definition, how to use it and how to use an exchange, but they don't know with non custodial wallet, verify signature etc.

It's mean you're either need to learn by yourself or hiring a consultant that completely understand with Bitcoin.

Why would it be a waste of money if you are also benefitting from the situation? The main reason why you are going to hire them in the first place is to get your financials straight as an arrow and help you to maintain what you have without losing it in just a few years, they will offer you some of the investments that they think can be benefit you because that what they do but it will all fall under your confirmation if you find that suggestion suitable for you.

Quote
It's mean you're either need to learn by yourself or hiring a consultant that completely understand with Bitcoin.

Well, if you already understand how bitcoin works and how to take advantage of it then surely there is no need for you to hire an advisor. But since we're talking about the majority here, it's safe to assume that they don't know how it works or how to start a business.
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do star players affect the odds of a match bet? on: August 24, 2023, 02:49:10 PM
Well, if I know that some star players will miss the next game I will think about my bet twice. And if we adjust our bets depending on the players, for sure these players affect the odds as well. Many factors play a role in creating odds in betting, but I guess we can be sure that the "status" of some players plays one of the significant roles in creating odds.

It is also about the mystification of some names and talents within the world of sports, specially in football/soccer. It just take a look on how Messi dingle handily managed to make the difference within the Miami Inter and its recognition around the world. Sure, a single player does not make a team but reputation cannot be underestimated.

If Argentina was to play in a World Cup, for example, and his star player was not able to participate for whatever reason, I think there would be people who would feel reluctant to bet as much as they planned to.  So, yes; I think some single players can move the odds on bookies.

Funny enough is the truth that there's a star player in every team. Some just shine brighter than others.
In my opinion, It is not sufficient to make bookies give odds just to favor a team over another, unless it is that there are more star players, team spirit, in that team, compared to the other team.
If a team has like 3star players and want to play a match against a side with 5star players, it is obvious to say that 5star man team gets great odds.
I also think if a team has been known to produce or harness star players consecutively, it has good impact on their odds following a match bet.

I think that is already given because these bookies are always one step ahead on us bettors, it's like they always have a solid inside information before that same information reach to us which will also mirror the odds that they will give in a specific game. A team that has more star players means that they are likely to win, not guaranteed though but in-terms of chances, they have an edge against the other team.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: August 24, 2023, 10:06:41 AM
I don’t have to chose because if you can be a profitable gambler and trader at the same time, then I would love to keep them both. You know it’s not that hard to profit from gambling as long as the chances to win is high, but in trading, everything should be done with knowledge and skills, and of course with caution. So if you think you’re capable enough to win on your trades, then do not stop from trading. Same with gambling, if you’re making relevant profits out from luck and some strategies applied, then continue to gamble but also gamble at your own risk.
