Indeed, we could be into something here. I am sure that the Bank of China will not do or promote something like Bitcoin if there is no approval from the top (or from the government itself). Since the government of China is not really known to be very transparent, we could not surmise the many developments or updates taking place in the country as far as cryptocurrency is concerned. This shift of outlook can be borne out of the fact that the government is seeing Bitcoin as one of the many tools it can use to undermine the value of the US Dollar. Will this mean that more and more moneyed Chinese to adopt Bitcoin? I think that is quite a possibility...this is really worth watching as it seems that the Chinese market is now fully waking up (after a good deal of bad news in the past two years).

Of course, the whole cryptocurrency industry will always remember Mr. Jamie Dimon (JPMorgan CEO) as one of the few VIPs in the world of finance who were able to influence the movement of Bitcoin back then. Now, the industry is getting to be more matured and we are not easily moved by any self-serving statements coming from well-known figures.

I could not really understand even back then why we give more weight to what a financial executive has to say on Bitcoin. Bitcoin is meant to disrupt the very financial industry they are in so we should not expect flowery words flowing from people like him. Unfortunately, the market listened to the craps the man spewed. The market reaction was actually non-sense and showed immature weakness.

I am just hoping that the whole industry and the Bitcoin market already learned the big lessons here. This time around, the industry should show its strength and resiliency by not giving value to what anyone might say including the POTUS Trump as these people are just in the positions temporarily.

In case, this development can be true then I am sad for Bitbond and its supporting bounty hunters here. Sadly, there is nothing we can really do in case the project decided it is time to be selfish and not pay according to the published arrangement as the power to disburse is on their hands and not ours...well as what we are doing here we can just make some complaints and spread their bad reputation. Unfortunately, I am one of the many who supported this project. Anyway, good luck to Bitbond hope no karma can be on its way.

As long as Facebook can pay any amount of penalty imposed on it, then there would be no problem actually. The government got what it wanted -- money and changes -- and so everybody can be happy. On Libra, I think we should not be viewing it as a threat to Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general. Now, if people don't like it then they should not patronize Libra in any way possible...simple as that let's allow the market to decide since this is a free world and we are not yet under the jurisdiction of China -- the country that will allow its China-made companies to spy on anything anywhere as long as they are working for the interest of the country.

I am sympathizing with the people of Zimbabwe especially those in the marginalized sectors of the society as they are the ones taking the big hit when the economy is on chaotic scale. What happened in Zimbabwe can be the result of so many misplaced and misguided decisions of the government in the past and there seems to be the tendency to be repeating the same mistakes over and over again. Right now, the government is burdened in finding adequate measures to control the runaway inflation and to make the economy back to the path of stability and growth. To me, there is no easy fix here. The government must be honest in telling the people of the real score and come up with multi-sectoral approach to the problems so that the challenges are shared by all. I am hoping that soon solutions can be found.

I am sure that Craig Wright would be fuming mad at this post in case he will learn that a good evidence suggest something that can lead to the conclusion that indeed he is just another fake claiming to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto. Just like the many Bitcoin lovers, admirers and holders, we know that we are interested somehow with the mysteries (including myths and lies, of course) surrounding the Bitcoin founder though personally this is just for academic discussion and should not be taken with a lot of serious weight. I am not wondering why there seems to be a cult following akin to conspiracy theories on Satoshi Nakamoto.

It is said that 2018 and 2019 can be years when the infrastructure needed by the industry and necessary before we can go for the mainstream are built and strengthen. We certainly need all of these apps as they are in the forefront making things easy for anyone to avail of any service or product using them. I am actually surprise of the rise of EOS but knowing that this platform is also well-managed and has the capabilities inherent in itself I think this has a good future as well. And this can just be the tip of the iceberg as more can be coming though we should also understand that with intense competition some can be weeded out by other players who are more aggressive and funded well.

With the way things are happening in the Indian government, I think it is going to take a big miracle for the supreme court to stop the inevitable ban and restrictions on cryptocurrency and related business activities. Hence, business firms dealing with cryptocurrency are now shifting their attention somewhere else as the country is facing an uncertain future for this industry. The people of India deserve the chance to be a part of the digital revolution especially for the young population of the country. We are hoping that a big miracle is coming, who knows?
