I guess that means sell on Tuesday before the news comes out. For some reason you always have to sell the day before big news. The big news never pushes the price up higher.

Hello 420jf, it's been awhile since I have touched base. I was pondering an idea that might be of benefit to all the mj crypto coins. What do you all think of a site similar to https://bnktothefuture.com/ for cannabis related startups or businesses seeking funding that would accept any of the participating mj coins or bitcoin for in exchange for equity? Maybe Crypto.care can become the platform for such a venture. We could probably even use bnktothefuture to raise funds for crypto.care and then reach out to the marijuana investment firms that fartbags mentioned. Please let me know your thoughts.

Arnel

Sounds like a good idea. I personally would like more decentralization where no person or website is in charge of anything... but Ethereum is taking forever to come out X(

A place where regular people can raise funds to start a marijuana business is a crazy good idea! I like it.

Anyone know the best open source crowdfunding software? If we can find a good enough one, then I ask @Joint Force to customize it to our needs.

Marijuana and silicon valley money

We should look at contacting marijuana investment firms to sell them marijuana cryptocoins. Marijuana + tech = huge

Nice buy up today Smiley The future might very well be the weed coins!

THC is so cheap. It's at record low marketcap value I think.

there should be a fiat dope exchange in the dispensary

People talk about an ATM. But a sales person could easily sell it in paper wallet form or take the time to help a new person install an android wallet. A sales person could actually be better than an ATM. The only things required are a computer, a compatible printer, and probably the most important thing a qualified sales person. Maybe an android tablet would work. You could be set up to sell alt coins fast!

1390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best Bitcoin based TV show? on: June 11, 2015, 11:50:27 PM
Tv is for retards.

OP has a very loose definition of "TV show": Grin

BTW. When I say TV show. I also mean YouTube show. I watch YouTube in 1080p on my TV so often that I call YouTube shows, TV shows.

So what's the best YouTube/TV show.

Anyway, there are many interesting and informative videos available on YouTube about Bitcoin. Many of them are great for newbies to become familiar with Bitcoin and some of them have content that could be useful for more advanced users as well. Not everyone learns best by reading massive walls of text. Some people are just naturally more comfortable when information is delivered via visual means. It is these videos that OP is referring to.

Also related are podcasts, which Bitcoin has quite a few. Although perhaps that would be more suited for another thread.

I would say podcast are more suited for another thread. Video is totally different than solely voice for me.

I would call a TV show anything that's visual and is running with episodes structure at a set schedule. The schedule part matters less and less as people become binge watchers. Having a set schedule is pretty nice though. It gives something to look forward to when you know next Thursday at 7pm is another episode. It gives the show more anticipation time. You know it's coming.

If only there was a real Bitcoin TV show! Like on a national TV station.

1391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alt coin rise? on: June 11, 2015, 11:38:39 PM
new coins are scam coins, old coins which survived are here to stay.

a) new coins = 99% are scam and you lose money - disappeared forever
b) old coins = 50% pump and dump / dump and pump - here to stay

you choose one to play

all the crypto know how devs are already out with a coin long ago
these new devs and new coins are scammer and get rich quick kids living under their parent basement.

this dev don't even know what is the different between a pos/pow/premined/ico coin
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1077358.msg11506225

What about the kid & friends in his basement who make the next big thing? I'm still willing to take a chance on an altcoin, new or old.

It's almost crazy that this coin is 20 satoshi. Who would sell this coin for such a worthless amount of money... but please sell if you really want to. It's almost down to the record lows back when I was buying around 10 satoshi.

1393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Best Marijuana Coin? on: June 11, 2015, 09:36:53 PM
I am making a silver physical coin like cassias except for a weed coin. which one is best? Potion has more trading going on.

At any point the best coins could change. PotCoin is definitely a good choice.

I would be more interested in buying one of your silver weed coins if it incorporated multiple wallets and some of every marijuana coin that exists. Just in case one of the smaller coins blows up huge and becomes the #1.

1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / List of Public Altcoin Developers. on: June 11, 2015, 08:57:37 PM

List of Public Altcoin Developers.

Hi. I am going to start a list of all the publicly known crypto developers. Either coin developers or 3rd party supporting software developers.

If a list already exists, please link to it in the comments.

Comment below with anyone you know of. I will add them to the list.

XCP counterparty is looking pretty good right now to accumulate.

Anyone else have tips on some good older coins with public devs that are at record lows?

Still not really liking this coin much anymore. Insider trading chat rooms for rich people...

Cryptocoins aren't money. These coins have no value. It's just a fun little collectible that people like to trade. So insider trading is perfectly legal. But if you do something strange like make 1 share = to 1 coin. Then insider trading would be illegal in this case.

The business plan sounds cool but highly unlikely to succeed as there's little need for incubators in the cryptocoin space. Cryptocoin developers don't like traditional company/investment models. They like to do the new ICO thing. They don't need help with that. They can network on forums and find other devs to work with. Cryptocoin developers are highly skilled computer people. I don't seem them really wanting anything from TRON.

Maybe CryptoWest could change my mind on this business model... It's a cool model and with more details I might like it.  Could you list a few things that would make any developer want use this sort of incubator system?

I see this failing hard on that business model side. I see this working well as a pump n dump because of their rich people insider trading group.

I concur!

I'm part of those dev networks you mention, for a couple years now. There is no lack of dev interest or ideas here. That said, I'm more interested in normal, non super-beard crypto ideas. More details will come! If you don't like me or my project, please sell. I want to get rid of as many doubters as possible, then show the jewels.

I could never sell a cryptocoin for the next 5 years. There is too much potential. If your business plan works out, investors today could see 1000x or more returns on their initial investments.

I would warn you that there's many many many people doing this same sort of business model. You can't be sneaky with what you're doing or you will fail. You have to be 100% transparent to eliminate all corruption with your idea. I think the term people use is automatic or decentralized audit trail. Meaning a computer system should be able to audit you in real time to make sure there's no corruption. To get to that point you need to be 100% transparent.

BTW, you should be looking for Ethereum developers. iOS/Android developers are played out and it's now super hard/expensive to get a popular app in that space.

I haven't even heard of an Ethereum incubator, except for the official one Ethereum set up.
