I like this coin because so many updates and progress goes smoothly with its communicative developer.
But I am worried about a market that only has a small volume. Bittrex could have removed this coin if the volume did not rise.

Try add to a new exchange, eg Binance or Kucoin. That will increase the volume as well as the price.
We have put a lot of effort into our Bittrex market and given the recent de-listings (which we survived) I would say the probability of a de-listing is rather small.

And by the way, a listing on Binance costs hundreds of thousands if not more; not worth it at this point if you ask me.

Yes: I hear that listing on Binance will cost you a cool $500,000. Many others have similar fees. Not a good investment at this point.

Hey folks. We just updated our Bitcointalk thread and included the official roadmap for 2018 & links to the Incent Marketplace prototype. Also, the thread is now in line with the re-brand. Let us know what you think!

Great update, Thanks! I can't see when you want to implementate KYC for the toolbar. So when do you want to enable withdrawals from the toolbars earnings?

We're currently working on ensuring we comply with our legal requirements as well as ensuring data security for our users. Once we are satisfied that we are compliant, the send feature will be made available.

But my question was when will this be? Q2 2018 or do you think there will be a solution in 2019?
Pretty sure it's going live in 2018.

Sounds really great. Can you tell us how long the toolbar will be available in its current form? (i.e. just getting INCNT for surfing)

There should be some announcements about that soon - stay tuned.

I will say KYC is effective only if people have to other way to get tokens and strictly based on identity verification can get. In that case it makes sense but at one platform KYC is obligatory while still you can get the same token from other trading platform or channel. I think need to educate people than obliged them to share their identity documents which also exposes them to some vulnerabilities.

Look at it this way:
  • Anyone can get hold of BTC via a wide variety of means. Bitcoin is an open blockchain and freely available.
  • Anyone SELLING bitcoin - especially exchanges - had better do KYC to make sure they know who they're selling to, otherwise they're going to get a dawn visit from the counter-terrorism cops.

Our aim at Incent - other than creating an open, blockchain-based universal loyalty programme that is fit for mass adoption and both fairer and more financially beneficial to businesses and customers alike - is to minimise the number of dawn raids involved in the process.
Currently we score zero on that front. We plan to keep it that way.

Just for laugh, did you read this The World’s Worst Crypto Article of All-Time ?

Just take a short glance on 5 reasons author of the article wrote.

Yes, I saw this and thought it was hilariously bad on so many levels.

Hopefully with slightly more credibility, I'm updating the discussion on this from a couple of weeks back: http://telegra.ph/Double-Bubble-Analysis-update-04-03

The correlation has been pretty good so far and still appears to be on track. It will come unstuck sooner or later, of course (the beginning of the bubbles don't match, and the ends probably won't either). I'm still not sure whether $6k was the worst of it back in February or whether we'll see $4-5k again. Either way I'd think the downtrend's days are numbered.

Is it true that you need to verify your identity by providing documents etc. and allow them to give your data (residential address, phone number, etc.) to third parties to use your google chrome extension & earn money?

To withdraw tokens you'll need to do KYC. It's much like an exchange - Incent is subject to the same AML requirements as Coinbase, Bitstamp etc.
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀🚀🚀[ANN][ICO]🚀🚀🚀 HOLDVEST: Universal gateway to the crypto markets on: April 02, 2018, 08:36:53 AM
Altcoins dropped significantly, it's a good time to start building your portfolio of different cryptocurrencies via holdvest.com. It's fully functional already Smiley

Pretty cool Smiley Looking forward to seeing this one move ahead.

hi Cassisus. Are there any details available to the mentioned "Affiliated with: ebay / Amazon / AliBaba" on the homepage? Is there something real behind it? Ive been in since ico and did not really check Incent since the situation last year (I guess everything is solved and the company is on track, right?) ... there is a toolbar now i see. nice. what else is happening? thanks a lot.

Hi belowizard,
Swing by our slack for more details. But in brief: yes, we're on track, toolbar is looking good, and we're integrating with affiliate programmes as a first step to demonstrate demand for the product and robust software. Then later this year we're looking at direct brand integration.

sry for requestioning: the problems u told are solvable or fundamental? I know that customers e.g. in China could have problems to recieve their tokens but i am from germany. So directly: Is their a possibility for me that my earned tokens from the browser extension couldn´t be sent out even if i fulfill KYC? If the answer is yes it would be fair against all users of the token extension that these problem exists, because like me they are giving personal datas in exchange of earning INCNT.

Kind regards

I didn't call it a problem. It's more of a milestone on the roadmap.
I suppose if you fulfilled KYC processes and it turned out you were a terrorist or Mexican cartel kingpin (hiding in Germany) we would probably not send you your tokens.
Are you a terrorist or a Mexican cartel kingpin? And if so, what's the deal with you guys, you're so violent? Surely there are better ways of doing business.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 28, 2018, 08:51:25 AM

Well theres basically two possibilities here and the blue line would be the extent of "going back into bull mode"
Confirmed , but someone will still try to claim that we're not rhyming with 2014.

Half the time this board feels like a collection of 1990 Go West fans.

If we're rhyming then the bottom will be around $4k. I'm not sure how easy $6k will be to break given the 'capitulation' candles in February.
Another interesting factor is the amount of volume on GDAX. It's a lot higher now. That suggests institutional/smart(er) money is coming in to me.

@Cassius: using the INCNT toolbar on chrome browser for a while....when will it be possible to withdraw the earned tokens to my Waves wallet?

Hey tortellino, not sure exactly, but we know it's important and are treating it as a priority. It's a KYC/compliance issue, something we have to get right.

anyone using incent chrome extension?
It is safe?
can i transfer reward balances to my wallet?

No, you'll have to wait for KYC integration to do that. We're working on it!
154  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 24, 2018, 07:07:40 AM
Bitcoin is showing strength as the market has moved beyond $8.9k and seems intent on climbing higher. I expect consolidation down to $8.6k over the next few hours and then a possible push to $9.3k and perhaps beyond.

A plunge at the 200 daily MA was always likely. If it pushes above it this time things should get more interesting. Right now it's pretty much touch and go I'd say.
155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 19, 2018, 02:58:33 PM
There's some talk of a looming Death Cross (50/200 daily MA crossover) from 'pro' analysts. If there's manipulation afoot it's probably to avoid that, which would happen above around $9k in the coming week.

Yup. It was about to happen at the end of this week... right now, with a little more pump it will be avoid or could even look as a bounce on it. Donno if it is "manipulation" or pure market dynamics... but it's refreshing at this time.

P.S.: Also, many times a death cross is followed by an inmediate golden cross, especially when the cross happens so near to the "bottom". ANyway... fuck TA.

I don't rate it as an indicator, especially at this point in the crypto market cycle. But it's not a little suspicious that as that TA hits the news, a mystery pump pushes it towards the safety zone.

Who thinks that the situation can be summarized with a message like "Papas & mamas, dumb newcomers, please sell everything off before 5k! Doom! Doom! Cool"?

Well, yes : and reasons :

Price/      Time/    Volume/

Targets are mutually combined and partly exclusive.  This is advanced trading logic.

By example in this case:

IF  volume gets high enough, it will absolve price from getting low enough.

IF time elapsed (at say, low price level) is sufficient, it makes up for lower volume... in this case we are talking many months at the lows.

IF  price gets low enough, it can mark the bottom (ie spike low).

So therefore , price target cannot be set in stone where volume and time can vary so much.  Of course nobody can make precise predictions, but you will find that highs and lows over many markets long term have these peculiar properties of P/T/V .

Aha! Great insight! In other words, what counts is mainly the sum of volume * price... right?
I'd never seen it from this angle, but it makes a lot of sense.

One thing I like about this place is that there's always something to take away. At least for me.

One way or another, the situation is "sufficient people have decided that $x is a good price that they won't let it go lower."

Here is an article with a nicly overlayed chart but at 3x speed.

Credit to who ever posted this in the thread earlier.

Cheers Smiley
It's also worth comparing against April 2013's aftermath. That one bottomed out in 3 months.
I won't call this one other than to say given the correlation so far, I struggle to see more than another 2 months downward, maximum. That's if we haven't already seen the bottom at $6k, 6 weeks ago.

159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 17, 2018, 07:33:42 PM
...... FUD

It correlates very well (suspiciously well in fact) with the 2013 bubble aftermath. However, the timeline is hugely accelerated, meaning we're almost at the bottom of it already. By my reckoning, it will take a maximum of two more months to bottom out, assuming it hasn't already. The massive volumes we saw on 6 Feb  at $6k will be hard to beat and I'm still in two minds whether that's likely to get broken again.

http://telegra.ph/Inferno-market-outlook-The-Double-Bubble-Analysis-03-16

wow!  LOOK AT THAT GRAPH!

The bottom is in... me thinks!

Go BITCOIN GO

I wouldn't want to say it's a done deal yet. And even if $6k was the bottom, doesn't mean we won't dip near it again.
It does look like the worst is over though, as you'd expect at this point in a correction, and the next 2 months could well see some excellent opportunities for accumulation.

If someone has better art skills and access to the data they need, I'd be interested to see how the last 4 bubbles correlate. Nov 2013 and Dec 2017's aftermaths have been incredibly similar so far. Says a lot about human psychology.
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 17, 2018, 06:08:55 PM
I hate to say it but this looks like another long term downtrend like we get after all of the huge spikes in price.

It might end up that we have to wait until late 2019 for a reversal as we start to near the next halving.

Either way I will hodl because trying to time the market and play like a trader has never done well for me. It's always been best to just buy and hodl.

We will shoot up past $19k probably in 2020 but until then, get ready for the long winter.
