i'm afraid this will end in doa status, after launch, liek the recent cryptonote
by now those cryptonote are considerend botnet heavy and not accepted as a good algo coins anymore
How is that any worse than one of the hundreds of bitcoin clones coming out daily with premines, ICO's, POS, masternodes, recycled fancy graphics, cool logos, the same shills, ridiculous roadmaps, lies and promises, pages of posts with stupid rockets blasting off, ridiculous speculation regarding future value, pumped and dumped by the same few groups of scammers, moon this and moon that, blah blah blah. The entire premise that botnets target cryptonote coins is ridiculous. Why would someone make a botnet to target a cryptonote coin that has no value. And even coins like Monero that do have value how is a botnet any worse than the massive amounts of rented hash and mining farms mining bitcoin based coins and getting a majority of them? This coin might end in DOA status but there are hundreds of bitcoin based coins that already are in doa status. The biggest hurdle to cryptonote coins is not that they are doa because of botnets it's because they lack access to the type of infrastructure already available to bitcoin based coins. The entire botnet myth is just that. A myth. I don't have any expectations for this coin but at least it's not some short pow, high pos, fancy graphic, roadmap full of crap, masternoded, to the moon with rockets, on yobit in a day and dumped to 1 satoshi in a week, coingen or bitcoin clone garbage that's coming out daily. there are some that are good enough to be mined, like revolver and a bunch of other, cryptonote it's not seen very well, always dismissed by the majority that want to have profit by mining only also only because this place is full of shit, it does not mean that we need to add more, we should try to minimize coin that might be useless because of their algo I think that there is a misconception with cryptonote coins. Cryptonote is a protocol. Cryptonight is an algorithm that most cryptonote coins use. It is possible to change the algo of a cryptonote coin to a different algorithm than cryptonight. A couple have done just that. Boolberry is a cryptonote coin but uses Keccak for the algorithm. AEON uses cryptonight lite. It's possible to change the algorithm of a cryptonote based coin to any algorithm. It takes a good coder but it can be done. There is also a dpos cryptonote coin called pebblecoin. I have miners mining coins for profit but that's not the only reason I'm involved in crypto. I am interested in the technology. The technology behind cryptonote coins is good. It's not as mature as bitcoin based coins but it's making progress. I have numerous wallets of worthless bitcoin based coins and I also have numerous wallets of cryptonote coins that are worthless as well. It will take some time but there has been steady progress in the development of cryptonote coins. In the beginning it was all command line and now there are QT wallets and numerous projects to move the protocol forward. I'll mine a coin like revolver to exchange for bitcoin. But that's the only reason. There really isn't any future for it because all it offers is a modified x11 algo. Other than that it's just another bitcoin clone. And a bitcoin clone with a new algo typically means a crippled miner for most people and a better one for a few. Seen it numerous times. New algo coins are usually just a way to give someone else an edge. This coin might not go anywhere but neither will 95% of non cryptonpote coins regardless of gimmicks like new algo's.

That isn't a false positive. Hope people sandboxed this shit.

You should change BIC to BKR.

I would not be so hasty with writing this off. I would give the dev a while still.
I agree. There were commits to the github repository within the last couple of weeks. There has been significant changes made to the bitcoin codebase. More than just a copy paste and create a new genesis block like 99% of the crap coming out on a daily basis that people jump all over because of some recycled graphics and a fancy logo. Everytime I see a post about "Sweet graphics" or "I like the logo" I want to cringe. I am going to stick with my gut on this one. People were slamming Bitmonero now Monero in the beginning because it was all command line, had a sparse ANN without any graphics, and wasn't hyped by a bunch of shills. Only a few of us were mining it for well over a week before anyone gave it a second glance. It was new tech and that's what interested me. It payed off. I'm not saying that will be the case here but there's more future potential than the latest x11 clone, masternodes, pos, ICO scam garbage, etc...

What is with these guys disabling the rich list on the block explorer? It's enabled by default in Iquidus. You have to change it from true to false in the config.

hey, i am just getting "DEBUG [several ip's :and port and there is written an OUT] msg 0or 1 or 2:1002
am i mining right or is something wrong?
Here are two methods to solo mine Method 1 Launchbikercoind and let it sync Launch simplewallet and select G to generate a new wallet Type start_mining at the simplewallet console "By default the miner will mine using only one core. To mine with more CPU cores type the number of cores after start_ mining" Example: start_mining 4 You are now mining with 4 CPU cores To stop mining type stop_mining in the simplewallet console To see your balance type balance in the simplewallet console Method 2 Launch bikercoind and let it sync Type start_mining your-address number of cores in the bikercoind console Example: start_mining bicksrxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxx 4 You are now mining with 4 CPU cores to the address you specified Using this method you can use any address you want including the address generated with the GUI wallet There is no need to have the wallet open to mine To stop mining type stop_mining in the bikercoind console Useful commands are: Typing show_hr will show your hashrate when typed in the bikercoind console Typing help in either the bikercoind or simplewallet console will give you a list of the commands available Other information: The blockchain is stored in the same location as other coins. For Windows that will be "C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\bikercoin" The GUI wallet will store the wallet file in the same directory as the blockchain by default. If you create a wallet with simplewallet that wallet will be stored in the directory where simplewallet is located You can open any wallet file with the GUI wallet by going to File - Open Wallet and browsing to the wallet file location

coin looks dead...oh well moving on
Obviously this coin author has not go to the tube, the OP is too simple Yes this thread is pretty much dead but fancy graphics and logo's have nothing to do with the tech behind a coin. How the hell does some fancy graphics make a coingen or cut and paste clone coin anything different than 500 others that are already abandoned and worthless?

first post Interesting but im not see any algo of your coin ? CryptoNote/CryptoNight wow new algo can i use GPU for mining it ? It's not a new algo it's cryptonote algo like Monero, Bytecoin, DigitalNote, and several other coins. You can find more information here: https://cryptonote.orgYou can mine with a GPU to a pool but it doesn't look like anyone's set one up. You can set one up yourself using this open source software if you're ambitious enough http://cryptonotemining.org/ Other than that you can solomine from the daemon which is what people are currently doing using the CLI console/miner download from the website http://bikercoin.org/ there is a GUI wallet download as well but you can's use that to solo mine with an external miner like you can with bitcoin based coins. The wallet might look like a normal QT wallet but you can't use it to solo mine and you don't create a .conf file. I have no involvement with this coin other than mining it myself. I just wanted to explain how it's different to prevent you from wasting your time trying to figure out why it isn't working like other coins.

You want to raise a minimum of 35 btc currently about $20,000 US. You have no escrow just an address to send the btc to?
Is this a joke?
|

A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. You're mining incorrectly. You have to solo mine from the daemon. This is a cryptonote coin. You can't solo mine the same way you do with a bitcoin based coin. External miners only work on pools.

yeah, the block explorer is ... not worth the energy it uses.
i7kq6nx11qAoYh65pCWhuoGXBuQvdq7Vwg is maxminers.
don't waste your time on it. somebody wants cheap coins Yeah right. Whenever someone brings something up that is unflattering to a coin people like you always scream fud or someone wants cheap coins. I don't want any of these coins. I was going to mine some but before I switched my miners I took a look at it and the BE made me suspicious so I set one up myself that had a richlist and the ability to search by address. That's when I came across the fact that 50% of the coins were in two wallets so I posted the BE I setup for others to make their own decision. Shortly after the coins started being moved to other addresses in large chunks. Take a look for yourself if you don't believe me. Here are some of the transactions: ef151402cac420333a62115b3b2a88ed8a3fe0c508f21ca6ff3c009c15fef4d3 fb18aea6eb435f49c4f17301725cb3c540300a07bd2e3a1955e513c70fceadfa c879218339493d6bb1f455c6fd0328369ac2557bfa5bb42baa4681e53634c0ec 4c9717ebec49b7b4d71ae82d5ae962458ef924c962c9eeadf4bb6a3554cfc124 d99931ebbea31afa8ee4924d52ae0413e3ded7ce0bd1cad22dd9c5561767533c fb18aea6eb435f49c4f17301725cb3c540300a07bd2e3a1955e513c70fceadfa fc75e73b5d665fdc207926afa7f1bd53baf2331bcbccc52a1351466a9d4da3ba 557e9167836f72aa23089e4c927cea9169ab6c2879254d2b859df86dd2beee84 92bc724354adc51efd2bc414bb928cf206386b3482a0f9f6770d0f67eff100fe e2f66d223d56b802ac6f7455fefebd4decb262b3cbfc9a45484fdcec5d2e0988 e6497f5d584ba1b187f99b106a3481ec5fde4ac85715c868dcdbf50bc2012348 af527415616dc15f4d65d726dfa006819fe889e7f45534dbe420dbc40ec64c3b I knew someone would make the accusation you made so I took a screenshot after I setup the BE.

What's is with these new coin launches and block explorers not having a rich list? 37% in the top address. The top two addresses have 50% of the coins and they are not public pools. Edit: The coins are being moved from the top two addresses so they no longer hold 50%. http://108.61.195.198:3002/richlistEdit: I just noticed that the BE in the ANN doesn't even let you search by address or return any information about address balances. maybe the bigger wallets are pool-wallets. There were only incoming transactions from blocks solved until they moved big chunks of coins. Private pools. But still two addresses with 50% of the coins. You can see it all in the BE I setup. The BE in the ANN doesn't have a rich list or even let you search by address. I was just curious because several coins have been launched lately with similar crippling of the BE. this addresses simple can be pool wallets like somebody above said.... name and graphic are rly good will watch closely I'm sure they are a couple entities running private pools. They made no payouts from the wallets just incoming block transactions. After I posted the BE they started moving coins in large chunks to spread them out. The fact remains that 50% of the distribution is in one or two hands. It's just suspicious that the BE in the ANN didn't include the standard features like richlist, ability to search by address, and see balances. You can continue mining since you think the name and logo are good. I was just trying to prevent those that care about things other than names and logo's to determine if they wanted to continue wasting their resources mining this when so much is obviously in the hands of just one or two entities. Like I said, the BE is missing standard features like a rich list and the ability to search by address and see balances.

Nice seeing you here, it's great seeing a legend in our midst. If you ever plan on making an optimized miner or bin I'm sure its going to rock!!!! If you are going to or when you get to making one please include optimizations for pitcairn cards, they are a dying breed. That's all a humble scrubble is asking for . You can make it FLY!!!! also for a strange reason i'm getting less than the correct reward for this coin, on all pool, i can't fucking be that unlucky Maybe you are confusing x11 calculations with x11evo calc's... its much slower the 1st richlist in blockexplorer is the pool? No

People need to learn how to read the ANN. It really isn't that hard and the answers to these questions are there. ICO?

Why is the Top 100 disabled in the block explorer?
This coin is new,we just don't have full functionality right now Oh really? Iquidus Explorer doesn't care if the coin is new. It's a setting in the settings.json file. Richlist just needs to be set to "true" // menu settings "display": { "api": true, "markets": false, " richlist": true, "twitter": false, "search": true http://revolvercoin.org:3001/ Official block explorer using Iquidus Explorer no richlist. http://108.61.195.198:3001/richlist Block explorer I setup using Iquidus Explorer with richlist.
