Aeon, do you have any connection to Bytecoin or the Cryptonote team?

I was wondering if they are the same as behind mountcoin, and horizoncoin, from presidentcoin AKA eldin hadzic

isn't wild keccak something related to cryptonight algo?

Wild keccak is a new methods of proof of work.

No it isn't.  This coin is a clone of Boolberry which has been around for months and is the first Cryptonote coin to change the algorithm from cryptonite.

Don't clone someone else's work and then try and act like you developed something new.

I will say one thing however.  If you are going to clone a CryptoNote coin Boolberry is the most advanced one out of all of them.

Anyone that stumbled across this coin might want to take a look at the coin this one was cloned from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577267.0

100% of hashrate on one pool.  Nice.  Good for you it's your own official pool.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is almost here[Updates & Discussion] on: October 17, 2014, 05:59:15 PM
Does anyone know NEM marketcap based on Nxt AE Nemstake price?  Is that monitored or posted somewhere?

$ 814.27 per stake (coinmarketcap) times 4000 is $ 3257080

Thank you.

Isn't there a total of 1000 NemStakes?  Coinmarketcap lists 775 total Nemstakes for a total market cap of $630,604   The other 225 must be those not yet redeemed so they wouldn't be listed I guess.  At the current value the total marketcap would be 1/4 of  $3,257,080 or $814,000.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: My mistake.  I was going off the total NemStakes offered on the Asset exchange.  My bad.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XDN] DarkNote. Anonymous 100% PoW CPU+Untraceable Crypto Messages+GUI Client! on: October 17, 2014, 05:22:50 PM
Today we announce DarkNote XDN Hybrid Proof-of-work/Proof-of-stake (Hybrid PoW/PoS) development. The very first PoS implementation for CryptoNote coins.

Oh look, DarkNote is doing what Cloak failed to do after months of trying!  I better let them know.   Grin

On the downside, I'll have to either remove XDN from my whitelist or change the 100% POW requirement.    Undecided

DarkNote is always well ahead of the all CN-coin.

How are they ahead?  All they did was make an announcement about something that isn't even due to be released for over four months.  Lot's of Big announcements and nothing done.  Yawn...
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW and Darksend | Instant TX on: October 17, 2014, 02:28:26 PM
I updated all masternodes to 10.15.13

But i have Inactive (0%) problem in some.

What is the problem?

I had the same thing on a couple of my MN's

i just now tried to start it up on the local wallet as well. will keep you posted on if that works for me.

Yea I have all my MNs as "inactive" there too. And the balance is slightly off on one of them as well. Sup?

I've got the same.

Masternodes that were running 10.14.1 and are now running 10.15.13 are showing as inactive, but darkcoind masternode list | grep is working and they are accepting payments.

New masternodes, created from scratch, running 10.15.13 are not showing up and darkcoind masternode list | grep is not working.

so bottom line : as long as we do the grep command and it returns a 1 we're good, even if the site says we're not?

just double checking...

I actually already received a payment on one of the MN's that was listed as inactive.

I just don't feel completely comfortable when it's not showing on the site,

I've had the same problem, it's fine. Just ride it out. As long as you're on the masternode list when your grep it then you're fine.

Walter

I have a masternode that doesn't even show up on that site but it's still receiving payments.  I was concerned that something was wrong until I opened the wallet and found out I had received a payment.

1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: October 16, 2014, 04:43:30 PM
I thought bbr was anon version of xmr. Care to distinguish them for me?

I'll give my understanding.  If I am incorrect someone please correct me.

Both BBR and XMR are anonymous CryptoNote coins using Ring Signatures for anonymity.  They are both based off of this technology https://cryptonote.org/

BBR has undergone the most changes from the core code than any other Cryptonote coin.

BBR uses the Wild Keccak algorithm while XMR and the rest of the Cryptonote coins use the CryptoNight algorithm.

BBR is the only CrptoNpote coin that trims the blockchain to reduce bloat  http://www.slideshare.net/boolberry/boolberry-reduces-blockchain-bloat

BBR has an official working GUI

BBR has opensource no fee AMD GPU miner

Those are some of the differences between the two coins.  You can find more information regarding Boolberry and the technology behind it at  http://boolberry.com/

Zoidberg!

Just put it to good use.  A website update would definately qualify.  The current one is however quite functional.  Would you be using donation funds to pay someone?  We don't want you distracted from working on Boolberry.  Grin

I asked Bitcrea to take care about this, we talked today about rised funds and what will be the best way to use it for. He gonna draw some design and we ask webdev to make website. (current version of website is completely handmade by me, and i'm dilettante in web development, that's why it's terribe).

But if you have some thoghts about it - feel free to share it (here or in PM, up to you).

Zoidberg

Actually I do.  Let me get back to you about that.

I have over 350 XMR that have been stolen from me by mintpal and specifically these moopay people.  Please tell me that there is some sort of resolution coming to this and that our devs have been in touch with them to get this straightened out.  Huh  Cry

What do you expect the devs to do at this point?  There is nothing they can do.

I'm glad I didn't have anything on mintpal.  After c-cex and cryptorush stealing some of my funds I had enough and don't keep much on any exchange.  I know it's been said over and over again but don't use an exchange as a wallet for your coins.  Do your trading and get out.

I'll match all donations up to 5000 BBR total.  What that means is that I'll match every BBR donated one for one until 5000 have been raised. So if 5000 is donated I'll throw in another 5000 for a total of 10,000 BBR.
I'll donate 1000. Smiley

Thanks!

Lets get some more pledges!  We need 4000 more BBR to get my maximum matching contribution.  But lets get more!  Lets try for 20000 BBR to fund development!

Come on people, open your wallets for Boolberry!

Would you consider the amount that is being sent though donations/miners mining to the @zoidberg account as part of this that you will match? You can check by putting in @zoidberg into the address check field to see the amount at cncoin.farm. It's nice to see this community rallying!

Edit: Could we consider some of this pool going toward the miner devs, @wolf, @mbk, and @anonymous (otila)?

I am a man that sometimes finds myself without enough time to do the things I intend to.

I posted about a 5000 BBR donation challenge where I would match up to 5000 BBR.  Smooth was even kind enough to agree to host a donation wallet.  After thinking about it further I realized that It would just be easier to send the 5000 to @zoidberg and anyone willing to donate should do the same for now.

I would love to participate and help sponsor any fundraising effort someone might come up with in the future but I currently don't really have the time or the experience to do something like that.

Way to share the love

Jon  Grin

I made a pledge.  I keep my word.

If BBR is having a funding issue then people with BBR should step up and help fund BBR.  It's a very simple concept.  The people that want something to succeed do what's necessary to make it happen.  Maybe I just wasted 2 btc.  Oh well.  I'm about done with cryptocurrency anyway.  I already cashed out half my btc to fiat long ago.  I'm sitting on the rest with some invested in BBR, Supernet, and DRK.  I'll ride it out with what I have invested in those three.  If they all go down I still end up on top.  I can make well over three figures doing what I did before crypto.  I'll not go hungry.

Back to BBR.

Who in the community provides masternode setup services still? I'm looking to make a list

Also, is there a good guide somewhere?

we need someone to do a youtube guide.

I'll pay 50DRK from the bounty fund for a cold/hot remote setup video from scratch  Grin

awesome! we need one for windows users running a amazon ec2 instance. i think that will be the easiest most common set up.

Probably best not to have too many more amazon instances.  The best thing would be for more of a distribution of where masternodes are located.

Amazon, digital ocean, and choopa  are hosting 75% of all the current masternodes.  Almost 50% are hosted in the United States.  You need to make an instructional video that is independent of hosting provider.  Making a video for ubuntu 14.04 is basically universal regardless of provider.

DRK needs to be more spread out not more concentrated.  There are plenty of other providers available to run a masternode on.

1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] Darkcoin | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW and Darksend | Instant TX on: October 15, 2014, 01:39:13 AM
Good summary of BTC-e Tok. It's certainly an institution (of sorts).

I spent quite a bit of time on the BTC-e troll box in the early part of this year and, in fact, found my way to Darkcoin because of the negative comments about it on there. They often refer to it as DORK. It's truly a fascinating study in human nature to spend time on there and witness the blatant lack of balance and the never ending mis-information that's thrown around (peppered with ad nauseum "arise chikun" and "to da moon" posts....mournfully imbecilic doesn't come close to describing it). It's like the BTC-e troll box is representative of all the issues, anomolies and flaws of crypto in general and you can find dozens of Shojayxt's on there....it's quality central (not!) but it's certainly educational to go on there for a bit.

That was a pretty good summary, I met Shojayxt on the Polo Trollbox, promoting XC & XMR and fudding DRK 24/7...  His mates Pookielax and Lifeing covered the shift 24/7 and ensured there was always someone online to steer people away from DRK.  It definitely was my first experience of a co-ordinated team to steer n00bs in a particular direction...

TrollBoxes certainly are a baptism of fire and you wisen up pretty fast to the sophisticated techniques used to influence people.

I came to the conclusion that if you hear some advice on an exchange chat box, do the opposite...

It is called a trollbox for a reason.

For the record, I have no affiliation with Pookielax and Lifeing.  It's possible that we were all in agreement in the trollbox but that's the extent of my involvement with either of those two characters.

Also, I never promoted XC at all.  I've never been invested in XC for any significant amount.  I managed to ride one of the early pumps and make some BTC but that's about it.  I've never promoted or posted anything regarding XC.

As for XMR, I was an early supporter basically due to the fact that I was mining the coin when nobody else was even looking at the archaic command line interface coin called bitmonero.  I had EC2 instances mining that shit the first week.  I mined tens of thousands.  Because it was an entirely new protocol using Ring Signatures I knew it would pay off and boy did it ever.  I'm still holding some XMR and will continue to do so.  As far as cryptonote coins go, I do hold a significant amount of BBR.  I also mined that in the beginning but not at the level that I did XMR.  I purchased the majority of my BBR with BTC made from the selling of XMR.  My reason for reducing my XMR holdings were due to the arrival of a self appointed king that actually lives in a castle and started dictating the way forward for XMR.  Unfortunately his money and arrogance have done more harm to XMR than good.

I write this only so that you and others can have a better understanding of who I am and why I do the things I do.  It's not much and it's not required but since I apparently elicit anger, frustration, resentment, hatred, and annoyance in so many people, I feel somewhat obligated to provide some of my background.  I'm really not the villain some try and make me out to be.  Like I stated, I allowed personal conflicts with a few individuals to spill over into attacks on Darkcoin.  You were one of those people.  Now you can continue to attack me if you want.  It's up to you.

My focus now is on Darkcoin and doing what I can to support it.  If you're still worrying about me you're wasting your time.

Anyway, for now I'll just sit back, run my masternodes, and buy some more DRK while it's cheap.

I was wondering why the price dropped so dramatically.  But after reading about the latest mintshit fiasco it all makes sense.  And the price was up almost 20% after I setup a masternode.  Those scoundrels have ruined my moment.  I was ready to claim the "shojayxt effect" on the price.

No worries, I'm still holding what I have and am moving some btc to buy more drk at this very moment.

Price will go back up.  No worries here.

what does an unverified account at Cryptsy mean exactly ? can you still trade and withdraw ? i dont really feel like uploading official paperwork (ID, photo)
just to get verified....

You should read these reddit posts before moving any coin to Cryptsy: http://www.reddit.com/search?q=cryptsy

Do you see the problem now for Darkcoin?Realy shit exchange's for Darkcoin,it does not help us.

Evan do something about this!! Sad

yeaH I only used cryptsy once and I hate them...I use bittrex for DRK  Wink

Here is a list of current DRK exchanges: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/darkcoin/#markets

I know dude, look at the daily volume on the rest, completly shit=big problem.

not if we start moving from Cryptsy to the other exchanges (like bittrex)

Go back to where DRK began.  Poloniex is a great exchange.
