Is there a trick to mining on strataspool? Have an extra slot on my S3, set it up, shows a hashrate, but after 12 hours, I have nothing... Seems to just be wasting energy..

Should normally not be a problem. Maybe contact the pool owner.

So, testing for a few months now... and now they come with "It is extremely complex and must be perfect"?

Seems like they found fundamental, exploitable flaws in their idea.

Are you going to recommend Gulden to your friends and family?

I recommended ... shame on me !

Now I recommend it to Rijk Family

I tell kids who I don't like to invest in the G to the n.

Hi Krusty,

I will share my full experiance with people, both the upside and the downside of the coin. On the basis of that they should make their own judgement.

I do believe that the coin has several strengths, they have a solid and easy to use app with a growing number of merchants within the Benelux region that are accepting the coin. There is a development team that has done some updates in the past, hope they can conclude the bigger projects as well, Nocks which is very closely related with Gulden will be adding new exchanges along with Gulden Trader which will also do the same,  moreover, many of the users of Gulden have opened up Gulden associated company/ blog further increasing the potential of the coin.

I think the downsides that I have seen with Gulden have previously been stated. For now, personally, I will be steering clear of this coin, should the update come out, I might pump a bit.

Who is Waterloodown, zonefan said we should speak to him. I didn't see a Waterloodown on slack.

A few years ago he was appointed as community manager... Haven't heard much from him since like... 2-3 years? He is a cousin of MaNi (he brought MaNi on board).

Why the price of AUR is still so low? Very disappointing...

Low? We're still up in both BTC and fiat price on any time scale over 1 month. We also didn't drop when bitcoin (and virtually every other alt) crashed in the past month. PnD isn't what we're after, just steady economic build up on long term scale.

Gulden is rank 210.   Shocked Rank continues to drop every day.

Rank 212, I knew it would drop below 200 but didn't calculate the social fallout taking place which is worse then the development delays. Less users equals lower price.

Or... call it ripping NLG from weak hands... ;-)

Price will hold until 1st March, after this date it will become a bloodbath if the project is not ready.

Just like the bloodbaths in August and November last year?... Checks chart again in an attempt to find them.

I am seeing a bottom of 900sat, what about you? 900sat is still a good buy for gulden even if the update is a total failure.

I follow EUR (or USD for that matter) price. The BTC price is much more difficult to make predictions about, as BTC is volatile as hell and EUR price seems to be leading over BTC price (due to the fiat exchanges) as could be seen in the fast few months. EUR/USD price has been pretty stable for the past few weeks, suggesting a consolidation phase.

This all escalated quickly?!?! I will say this, millennials do not like rules and restrictions.

This has nothing to do with rules and restrictions, but more with moral and social values... like being free to ask questions as you see fit and expect a civilized answer. I've met enough millennials that you could have a good talk with, some are just... "pretty precious exceptions".
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: February 18, 2018, 08:12:30 AM
In future, I hope your overwhelming trust in Gulden turns out to be right.

Me too. Let’s see. Thing is that thus far I didn’t hear anything to not believe that the update is not working as intended. On the contrary, testing and bug fixing, i heard, continues on a high pace. Will they finish before end of feb? Nobody knows I think.

And yes, maybe I got a bit emotional in my last post. I didn’t intended to sound arrogant.  A lot of people are just randomly shouting al kinds of stuff in here, without even knowing or checking facts. Get’s anoying by times.

I am a million % sure they won't be close to ready end of Feb because of SegSig. SegSig is the reason the gulden community is quietly wishing they had invested in anything else in the top 100.

PoW2 was about to be released in August last year. That would of meant less PoW rewards and dumping on the exchanges and 6 months worth of interest lost for those ready to witness.

SegSig has been a colossal fuckup of epic proportions and the team have not said sorry for 6 months loss of witnessing and soon it will be 7 months.

The irony is I will be called a troll in March when I was right.

It's important to do research before investing in a coindev team kids.

There, fixed that for you.

Does anyone actually look further than that number that says hardly anything? Did anyone notice NLG is actually consolidating?
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: - AURORACOIN - on: February 15, 2018, 09:17:59 AM
With all the blood in the crypto streets... AUR performed quite well.

And now there is blood in the stock market

So, it seems everything is going into calm waters. Even TA shows BTC is heading into consolidation phase. New opportunities to push Auroracoin value higher as our current value seems pretty consolidated now.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: February 05, 2018, 09:38:08 PM

BTC price drops, so relative to euro sat price goes up.

Yeah, thought the same... even euro price can't keep up... steadily dropping... and that with Euro exchanges that have more than 50% market share.
It's a bit like everyone is watching bitcoin drop and thinks "NLG price should be lower as well"Huh

Closed my general support ticket #586824 after 2 months, replaced it by #1109359, which is a "close account" request ticket. Gave them the addresses to where they can refund my funds to. Let's see if this gets more love from the support team and solves my issue quicker.

So, finally got a reply after two days. Their answer, go through verification and than we can close your account. WTF? The verification process is why I want to close my account in the first place.

And here is the reply from Bittrex:

Hi BioMike,
Unfortunately, because I am unable to make transactions on your behalf, I can no longer assist if you are unwilling to get enhance verified.

I apologize for the inconvenience as I know this situation is not ideal.

The funds will remain in the account for your access when you are verified.

Best Regards,

xxx @ Bittrex

Seriously? Just... wow.

So, I requested if I could go through basic verification again (with some document proof), but that was not possible. Enhanced verification is the only thing I could do to get my funds back. I consider these funds lost. Closed my ticket #1109359,

OK..I've made the account just to post this.
I am into Gulden for a long time already and followed them pretty much every day both in terms of development and price action. I am certainly not exactly a whale in this market, but I do hold about 200k NLG which I've struggled to accumulate all this time. At this point I am quiteclose to give up this project and sell everything. It is not because of the price, it is just because the development team is not reliable in terms of delivering. Those who follow the project and are honest with themselves know what I am talking about. The truth is that the word deadline has no meaning for them. They can post a roadmap on the website and just update it for as many times as they need, without any notice or explanations. There is no guarantee about anything when it comes to sticking to a predetermined timeline. If anything, someone will write on slack something like "it was just an estimate timeline" or so, even if that timeline is missed by A LOT, not only by a week or two. The problem is that some people invest in a project based on roadmaps and their estimated implementation time. You cannot just say "yeah, whatever, it's ready when it's ready".
So for everyone who is looking to invest in this project: it is not a scam, it really has a good potential, but be prepared to get frustrated and annoyed by the way this team works and communicates. They really don't have much consideration for keeping their word or for any kind of criticism.
That being said...I don't know what I will do, but for the first time I really started to consider alternatives (and yes, I am sorry for not doing this earlier).

Know how you're feeling, bro. If you're in for it for a long time, you've made some profit from it. Just sell a bit that you feel comfortable with, stash the rest for a bunch of years.
