141  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: April 18, 2024, 07:16:35 AM
Of course, you should never trust the rule that a casino allows the use of a VPN.
Nope, if that is on the rules like on their TOS, then we are allowed to use a VPN. Other casinos may announce they allow but in the TOS it's not written. I think they really need to emphasize it already as this VPN has been a problem now and some casinos used it to scam users and point the issue into violation of the terms.

VPN should be fine, why would they prohibit use if we just want to achieve privacy, although we follow the KYC procedure and we are known to them, we still have the right to keep our privacy by using a VPN, as long as it's in the TOS (allowed) it shouldn't be a problem.
142  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not let the over excitement after the bull-run pull you out to danger on: April 17, 2024, 10:58:28 PM
We better keep our lives secret rather than expose them publicly because people around us are never happy with our great achievements as they prefer to see us down. I'm not sure if this is also happening in other countries but this really happens to us where people get jealous when they see someone become rich. In order to avoid these people, never show anything good to them. As much as possible, never let these people know your income and investment because they will just create unreliable stories that ruin your personality and reputation.

Never post anything on social media about your life or it is much better not to use this platform anymore to keep everything secret and unknown. And also for security reasons.
Just stay low key. Instead, make people believe that you’re living no good, that way they won’t create speculations about you. And always avoid flexing your investment profits or any achievement all over the social media, that will only put your life at risk. And as much as possible, chose privacy over getting known to the public.  You don’t owe anything to the public, so just chose to keep your life’s progress in private.
143  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest on your dependants if you too must grow further on: April 17, 2024, 10:30:01 PM
I use to say this more often to people around me, that if you want to help a person in life, then learn to know and identify the strategic place of need in such persons life and fixed it, if you give them bread, they will soon eat it up and be hungry again, but when you make decision in alleviating them and helping them to start an investment that could be profitable for them to depend on for financial survival, they will always earn through such instead of coming back to you for more help.
Know the person’s weakness and help him encourage to overcome it. Teach him to stand on his own foot and not to rely on other person, and by helping him land on a stable job or a reliable side hustle or investment, you are just giving him opportunity to grow and support himself, without feeding him everything he needs. That way, you did invest yourself onto him but in a productive way.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Altcoin a distraction to Bitcoin adoption? on: April 17, 2024, 01:59:29 PM
It was not the altcoin or Bitcoin but what makes the adoption slower than what we expect is that many are still innocent and uneducated. We can't urge people to adopt when in the first place, they don't have the right knowledge about cryptocurrency in general. We can't influence them to use crypto when they don't know how to use them. In fact, even just a simple investing (buy and sell), they still commit mistakes and fall into scammers.

That is why adoption will take time to develop because trust can't be instantly acquired when doubts and innocence are in our minds.
I believe the adoption rate of bitcoin is not that high because aside that majority are still clueless about it, the government itself is not even supporting bitcoin and continue to discourage the people not to fall on its trap. So it’s not those altcoins that are distracting bitcoin adoption, but it’s more on the people’s perception towards bitcoin.

However, with the help of social media, the people are now slowly grasping the idea of bitcoin with the help of crypto influencers. Unfortunately, majority of these crypto influencers are feeding the wrong information instead of educating the people and open their eyes to the reality of bitcoin.
145  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most liquid companies in the gambling industry on: April 17, 2024, 07:46:28 AM
Once you provide your  kyc forget about you identity,  it might  not be revealed  to large number of people but what I do know is they know about you already .
That's one of the biggest fear on why some cannot pass on the KYC policy, but eventually all casinos will require KYC and we have no choice.
They are regulated, therefore we have to trust them, yes, the trust is very important, otherwise we'll just choose a decentralized gambling which I don't know if there are games that are popular in their.

Apart from leakage, if a company later becomes  a scam I guess that sucks even more Tongue, although we have nothing to do about it maybe someday inches future the system of Kyc will be completely  scrapped but for now we have no choice  than to continue  paying  our kyc debts....  and for the companies they will also continue  obeying the government  once they need some details about a kyc  in as much they are under the government  unless they don't  want to lose their licence and go off business.
When they are regulated and they scam, the government will go after them. There's nothing we can do about that anymore as even those gambling sites that have the best reputation now can become a scam something, so like what I've mentioned, that's the risk of KYC.
146  Economy / Economics / Re: Will inflation become big challenge for retired people after 10-20 years? on: April 16, 2024, 11:57:01 PM
It is already causing lot of problems for retired people. How much will this problem intensify in future ?

It’s anyone problem if you don’t save enough during your active years but if you manage to save money then inflation will not be your problem since you have your pension and at the same time savings money through your job salary.

You should consider that retired person usually spend less since they are already at the age which they are not active anymore on social gathering or any form of activities that requires heavy spending. Most of the time they are just buying daily necessities and spend time at home or vacation house. Inflation will only be a problem if you didn’t manage to break poverty during your active years.
Not only saving but certainly investing as well during their active years. Inflation is even worst at these days so it should serve as a reminder that if you don’t increase your source of income like working on some side hustles but only focus to your main job, you will definitely suffer from inflation in the future. Retirement is actually the moment to enjoy and reap your hardships while you are young, but if you care less about it, and instead just focus on spending all your income without thinking to invest, I believe you will end up regretting in yiiur retirement age.
147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to handle emotions when you lose during trading. on: April 16, 2024, 10:56:21 PM
A newbie who isn't knowledgeable and experienced enough about the market shouldn't make trades with real money in the initial stage but they should first gather knowledge and test their knowledge in demo modes somewhere so that they can be assured that they can make successful trades or not and should only venture into real trading once they are ready.

Well said, To control emotions, you have to work hard and practice for a long time. Properly and you have to remember never to make hasty or too fast decisions. Always try to keep yourself calm. Think in such a way that you don't feel wrong after making your decision. Then slowly notice that you are able to control your emotions.
However, the only way so we can master our emotions is that when we finally enter a live trading. Although demo trading can be a good start but we all know real emotions are rarely involved in virtual account. So I suggest learn to trade using small amount first. That won’t be too painful if ever you lose your initial capital, at least you will also learn some lessons from that. Within that experience, you will come to handle your emotions more seriously so that you won’t end up with another loss the next time you trade.
148  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Future of online poker - PokerFi on: April 14, 2024, 08:21:12 AM
PokerFi? Sounds good, but I don't think this project will be successful since poker isn't really popular in the crypto gambling world and time has proven that again and again. There are fewer players and more bots in crypto poker tables which says it all.

FIAT poker sites are still the best way to play poker online in my opinion.

PokerFi has not only poker, but also a casino with various games and slots. So the players have a lot of choice.

Maybe> But what they are marketing is the game poker as the name of the project states.

I looked at their website and I can see this words... "The future of online poker has arrived : PokerFi".
So that means big time because they are claiming it would disrupt the current norms of poker.

Question is, how come until now its token are still of a very low value?

I am not member of the team of  PokerFi. I am just topic starter.

Then you have to state on the announcement that you are not part of the team, this is a gambling announcement and without giving them your participation on the platform people will think that you are part of the team, and any issue that may arise coming from users who participate coming from this this announcement then you are partly responsible and may we know are you hired in their behalf to announce their project here.

Looks like the project is a failed one based on how long they have been running the platform and not getting enough support, there's a risk in participating in this project so join or invest at your own risk.

Creating a thread here with an announcement of a certain casino won't gain readers once not maintain, it will only work unless the casino is already an established one. However, judging on the casino tokens standing in CMC, it's very clear that this project hasn't been develop or safe to say have failed their target. I haven't read the road map of the project, but judging on the number of years from the time it was created til now, it's very evident that it's not gaining the interest of the community.
152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't do this mistakes in trading on: April 02, 2024, 10:59:36 PM
One of the biggest mistakes in trading is to open a trade without understanding and thinking of selling at a high price which is a decision without considering the range. Both the newbies and the old ones make a lot of mistakes in this field to increase the profit share and finally come out of trading with loss. If someone follows your advice, they will hopefully be able to play a more effective role in decision making.

         -     That is something that a novice in trading should not do. But no matter how many times someone says such reminders, there are still many stubborn people who enter trading.
That is their main reason for entering trading.

Because if you want to make money quickly in trading, that means you will also quickly hate this field of crypto space for sure, and you can even curse it because you have high expectations about the industry of crypto space.
Trading will never be good enough for beginners. They have less knowledge and even no experience trading in the market which will put them at a more miserable trading situation. But seeing a lot of lives have been changed with trading, that motivates even these newbies to start trading even when it’s not clear for them when to actually trade their coins, as they’ll have no clearer goals set prior to real trading. In the end, they all lose from their trades, and leave wrong impression with trading.

157  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: March 31, 2024, 09:36:59 PM

Yeah! Casinos without KYCs for government to have part in the running  are always main target for sanction as they would tag all their activities  to be an illegal  one NMW and there's  no way they can just themselves
Governments are just concerned with the both the gamblers  and the casinos itself .
The majority of the casinos without licences only run for a few months or years but doesn't have the capacity to run the operation for a long time since at anytime the government get through to them it will definitely become the end of their operations.

So for contemporary casinos that have long term in views it will be very necessary to get the license needed to operate as legal company and at that will implement KYC to comply with government demands.

Of course, the government will see it once the business gets bigger and they'll require them to get a license or ban them.

However, what can you say about the growing popularity of Web3 Dapp games or gambling? I saw a lot of platforms being promoted in the forum already and they are getting a lot of bets, can they disrupt the gambling world? How would the government regulate it then if it's decentralized?

I see some decentralized casino before to be not worth playing but it has become competitive now with this web3 Dapp, so it's easier for the gambler to trust it since they are using a non custodial wallet, we link our wallets and we can withdraw anytime.
158  Economy / Gambling / Re: My experience on live bet on: March 31, 2024, 08:53:13 PM

That's not being greedy, you gamble and aim for a bigger win, that's our main goal. You can only call yourself greedy if you get tempted to do things that are our of your plan, like when you are betting in sports, you don't think of cashing out once you see you are already winning.

Thing is, casino wouldn't offer a cash out if they know you aren't winning, so what's the use of cashing out? I mean, we are here to take risk, just be a more risk taker, go home or go big so no regrets in the end.
It's all about the winning, because as a gambler, you will never consider a cash out when you are in winning, this is because at that point you already come way too far assured with your bet and it outcomes and also having that assurance that you will win the game since you are already in winning is what make it difficult for you to Cash out at that point in time.
Most times, we can't tell to which extent the cash out features can help us to make good decisions or make tangible incomes in profits while we use them and what are the winning potentials of the game, but above all having in mind how risky and unpredictable football match could be, so we need to properly analys the feature and possible outcome before taking risks of looking away from your available cash out.
If we mean business, we don't have to complicate things, make it simple and just focus on winning. Thing is, when you consider "cash out", you'll now think of this being part of your strategy, which means you'll include this on your analysis, and like I mentioned, that word regret will always be present as you might regret that you should not cash out, or cash out late or early... that kind of feeling is so frustrating and might affect your decision making, you know, decision making is very crucial in sports betting as we all like to win in the long run, this isn't just a game, some of us aim to be profitable and try to beat the system that most of us struggle to beat.
159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 31, 2024, 01:41:49 PM
It will be a big game today and yes I’m also expecting a big crowd especially it is still holiday.
What’s your prediction with this one?
I expect for SMB to get a win here and on the second game, I think Magnolia has a better chance of winning here. What’s the current odds for these match?

After 12 days of day-off, PBA is back and for sure the crowd attendance will be massive since Ginebra will be playing in the second game against Magnolia. The latter is the slight favorite to win for tonight's match and i do agree with the odds maker here. The first game between the Beermen and Fuelmasters is a bit risky since the spread is high at 9.5.

Ginebra ML @2.32 vs Magnolia
SMB -9.5 @1.87 vs Phoenix

Congrats mate, great come back with two wins. Me, I lose on Ginebra because I got greedy, I'm following a special that I saw from other posters here, the 11+ points, I got x9 during live bet but it was short by 1 point.

Damn, that shot of Stand was a relief because despite there are only few seconds left, he still made a shot, it's understandable since point quotient is at play here, but it was kinda disrespectful coming from a winning team.. I thought it will end there but Magnolia by Jalalon also made the last shot which only made Ginebra to win by 10, just disappointed.  Grin
160  Economy / Gambling / Re: My experience on live bet on: March 31, 2024, 01:03:41 PM
that cashout thing is just new but sometimes it makes us get greedy and miss the opportunity to enjoy a bigger winning. If I would choose, I'd rather not have that cashout option in my account if there's a way to block it because it causes some interruption on my focus.
I believe it's the opposite. A greedy person will always chase bigger wins. Someone who is not greedy will play it safe and accept whatever the sportsbook will offer to him and cash out while he still have the chance to do so. A greedy person is the one who takes the risk not the opposite.
OP, the amount the sportsbook offered you is reasonable given that the odds of the last game has increased from ~2x to ~3x which means your chances of winning decreased.
