1141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: February 19, 2023, 11:53:39 AM
Anyway, he really need to improve his performance if he wants to beat Haney incase their fight will push through. Because Haney is fearless, confident and an impressive boxer. Moreover he is much younger which is an advantage for him.
This one is different, though. He is the underdog, and he understands that it's the biggest fight of his career. A young champion is trying to dominate, but Loma is still definitely here. Maybe he's not in his prime based on what we've seen, but he will try to prove us wrong in this fight.
Yes, and the majority believe that Loma will lose because he is no longer in his prime. Judgments like that from fans can be very challenging for Loma. Hopefully, he will use it as inspiration to prove to the world that he's still here, and he can do that by giving Haney his first loss.

The spread for the first game is Ginebra -12 against Blackwater, while the spread for the second game is SMB -4 against TNT.

That was an easy one. Ginebra dominated the game and ended up winning by 26 points. It's a huge bounce back after losing previous games, but you know Blackwater is not really a downgrade. They changed their import, but the new import wasn't as good as the old one. Their import only scored 14 points while Brownlee had a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Finally, Ginebra was able to break their two straight losses, although Brownlee's numbers are not too impressive. But I know he's just trying to make his teammates better. There's a lot of firepower on the Ginebra team, so Brownlee doesn't need to work too hard in carrying his team. Also, he is probably trying to be careful as he will represent our country in an international competition happening this month. By the way, that was the last game of Ginebra this month.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 19, 2023, 08:37:10 AM
~ The technology used on that AI program is something into a highest level.

That's the reason it can give predictions and speculations close to being accurate because it has lots of sources used to form an analyis.

In gambling related, if it's used as reference, nothing wrong on doing that as long as not totally relying all our bets with it.

We can check how it works and how accurate its predictions are, betting $0.20 at a time. We can make many such bets before we decide whether to rely on it or not. And even if we are satisfied with the results, we shouldn't "totally rely" on anything if by "totally relying" you mean risking more than we can afford to lose.

If using this AI will bring about consistency, then it's likely that people will use it to win, potentially defeating the notion that no one wins in gambling or that it's hard to win. Honestly, I doubt that AI would help us win, but there's no harm in trying. Let's see.

Let's discuss the ongoing game between DYIP and Phoenix. The first half is over, and Phoenix is holding a significant 19-point lead. I think DYIP will have a hard time coming back in this game due to the huge deficit. Also, it seems that their import, Williams, is not very productive with only 10 points from very poor shooting. This is probably his worst performance with only a 2-10 shooting record so far.

30 points now and less than 5 minutes and I also agree that it will be tough for DYIP to rally back unless Phoenix will give them all the free shots coming in the final quarter. Something that we might not expect but sometimes it's happening but hopefully not today.

I thought DYIP would be competitive enough when their import showed a great game early in the conference, but it's a different import we are seeing now. Probably because of the suffocating defense of Phoenix, they can't find an answer on how to produce some offense. It's a high-scoring game for Phoenix, but DYIP is currently struggling, especially with their three-point shooting.

We are now in the fourth quarter. Maybe they will win this quarter, but it's impossible to win the game.

It didn't happen I mean 4th quarter is a tie ball game between the two teams, Phoenix equalized the rally of DYIP like what you have said, DYIP import unable to find help with his teammates in his struggling night 3 out of 15 shots, not good for someone who likely be the main alpha for the team.
They were tied in the 4th quarter, but it wasn't enough to erase the big lead of the Phoenix. The final score was 125-100, and you can tell that Phoenix had a great shooting game due to the poor defense of DYIP. Maybe they didn't play hard in the 4th quarter anymore as they were already sure that DYIP wouldn't be able to come back.

2nd game now between Converge and NLEX seems that in this early quarter Converge driving the game, still have lots of time
for bettors who love to place bets during live games! Good Luck Kabayan!

It's anybody's ball game still, even if one team is up a double digit, as long as there's still plenty of time, the opposite could mount a come back to make it a close game.

1146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 18, 2023, 06:33:03 AM
They had too many guards, now they have a bit more evened out in each position.
The thing is even if they're even by now they can't seem to get out from that 13th spot and the playoff season isn't that far though I'd say the West has not much of large deficit in terms of wins if you take a look at the standings. Hope they can make it even on the play-in tournament 'cause they might have a chance to make it but winning a ring isn't likely.
Let's not be too optimistic since there doesn't seem to have been significant improvements in the team's performance after trading Westbrook. While you're correct that making it to the play-in tournament is a significant opportunity for them to reach the playoffs, they will still have to work hard to compete against the top teams, and they will also have the disadvantage of not having home court advantage.

It's not typical to see the Lakers struggle to make the playoffs as they have been a very dominant team in the past. However, we must accept the current reality and place our trust in LeBron and AD to lead this team to success. After all, they have already proven their greatness by winning a championship together.
1147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't have high expectations in the crypto world. on: February 17, 2023, 09:49:05 PM
Yeah, sure thing! Some people have made a ton of money with crypto, no doubt about it. But it is also important to remember that crypto can be a wild ride, with prices going up and down in a heartbeat. So if you are a beginner, getting your hopes up too high from the start could be a bad move. My advice is to do your homework and learn as much as you can about the risks and rewards before you invest. And don't treat crypto as a quick way to get rich - it is more of a long-term game. But remember, everything has its risks. No risk, no reward!

It’s not a problem to expect much in crypto but also make sure you know your limits when it comes to risky investments. Otherwise, you will be more eager to invest without thinking about the risk of losing, just because your mind is focus on the idea that crypto can make you real rich quick. So manage your risk, and always invest on the amount that you will not regret losing.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling problem on: February 17, 2023, 08:20:51 PM

In reality, those gamblers that have a serious gambling problem already might not refer to any form of help as they are already owned by the negative effects of gambling. Those gamblers are in need of a serious approach and their families and friends play a big role to help them.

Maybe the site mentioned by the OP will help instead those people that still can control themselves despite feeling emotional stress due to gambling.

But for those who are new to the gambling world, as much as possible don't allow yourself to experience such negative effects that gambling brings to us.
It’s a certain fact that when you gamble, you are allowing yourself to start losing, and when consistent losing occurs, gambling problems will soon to arise eventually. So obviously if you chose to gamble responsibly, you will never have to face these problems. But for some reason, gambling problems are inevitable especially if you have high beliefs that gambling can provide you a source of living. That’s why there are some useful links intended to help to solve gambling problems, and OP has introduced one. But if it’s a severe problem already that any gambler find it hard to resolve, seeking for medical and professional help is the best option.
1149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: February 16, 2023, 08:44:08 PM
I read a news yesterday about a Spanish rehab center that is called 'The Balance', a Switzerland-founded wellness center, located in Spain. The Rehab center helps in treating of alcohol, drugs and behavioral health addictions. Recently it is adding trading addiction to its list and I was surprised to see that. You can read more about it:

The rehabilitation center cited estimates that about 1% of cryptocurrency traders will develop an "extreme" addiction to crypto trading.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/spanish-rehab-center-adds-crypto-trading-addiction-to-services-list

I think it would be perfect to bring this trading discussion. Are you addicted to trading? I am thinking that making profit from trading or making losses, there is a chance that some traders are addicted to trading. What are you doing naturally to stay away from trading addiction?
If you see yourself suffering from trading addiction, then stop being greedy and never chase your previous losses from trading so you won’t have to trade more than you can afford to lose. And when it comes to managing your finances, it’s not bad to trust a personal friend who knows how to trade more than you, but never entrust him all your money but only for those amount intended for trading. That way, you will not go deeper on your trading addiction. However, if you think that your addiction is already killing you, then seek for professional help and maybe consider going into rehabilitation center if that’s the only way to treat your addiction.
1150  Economy / Economics / Re: How to thrive with low income in a humble area on: February 16, 2023, 08:09:26 PM
An explanation of how staying thriving in a low-income area is a way to survive. If it continues like that then it will be difficult for us to develop. The right way to grow is to take the risk to get out to a place with high mobility so that it can cover all aspects of the business that can be used as opportunities.
the best practice is to have some emergency funds.
Work hard - have a roof over your head and be thankful to God whatever you have. The greed for more and the worry for the future is always a useless thing and killing our present joy.
We can always think about our future and it’s called preparation, but being greedy and self-centered will never help you to achieve your goal. However, it’s a good thing to have a savings for emergency funds, that way if you get fired from your work or your company has closed its operation, at least you can still use your emergency funds temporarily. But finding a good and stable job should be our focus especially if you’re a family man, and then increase your means of income so you will have multi sources of funds that will give you passive income.
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Know your limit on: February 16, 2023, 07:51:18 PM

Did you tell that to your friend? Because it sounded like he is now your responsibility.

Whoever gave him the idea that he can make huge amount of money after a month of investing really made him totally believed on it. I hope its not you because he really put it all down the line. Helping a friend in times of trouble is being a good friend and he seem to be in need and you are the one he calls for.  Hope you know him well and not trying to scam you. I'm not saying he is a scam but find out. Just a warning.
Your friend is never your responsibility so you don’t have to pressure yourself on lending him some money if you think you are also in need of your money. It’s good to help but if it’s already beyond your limits, then you should also think of yourself first before anyone else. And besides, you did not lack on reminding him to only invest with his spare money as losing is very inevitable, but he never listened so he should be ready whatever consequences of his own actions.
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choosing between your relationship and gambling. on: February 15, 2023, 09:58:11 PM

Tell your cousin to stay away from that girl.
They are not married yet but she acts like she lost everything. If she had not discovered those emails, she wouldn't be overreacting though.

However, she already wants your cousin to choose which. It gets worse if she could successfully makes your cousin choose her. This is capitalizing on your cousin's feeling over her. It's not gonna be surprising one day you might not be able to hang out with your cousin anymore because she says so.
That girl just want to control your cousin, and by pointing out into gambling, I guess she found more reason to control your cousin telling him to chose over gambling and his relationship with her. Gambling is not actually bad if your cousin is still able to manage his gambling activities including his losses, but submitting to the decision of his fiancée is actually the wrong decision here. I just hope your cousin will decide on what’s best for him, not only for their relationship, especially that they are not yet married.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing losses - Double down bet or Bet twice? on: February 15, 2023, 09:33:27 PM
What do you typically do when you are on chasing loss situation?
You will most likely lose more if you try to chase losses.

When I gamble and I lost, I just stop to bet if I know that I use big amount of money, but what I can still afford to lose. If I am using small amount, gambling to just have fun, I just continue to gamble and never think of it as losses, if the amount I set for that time is lost, I stop to gamble. Next time, I would have forgotten that I even lost.
I guess if you are really a gambler, not to chase our losses is actually hard to do especially if we are losing such a huge amount. Good thing if they are just small losses, but if they become big already, I think chasing our losses is not that bad but if we are still committing the same mistakes again and lose more, then it’s better to just stop gambling and go home eventually. That is better than to gamble more and lose more of your money.
1154  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto aid for Turkey exceeds $4.5M in one week on: February 15, 2023, 09:08:08 PM
-snip-
finally accepting the positive potential they can have in a society, including during crisis times like the one Turkey is suffering right now.

Don't know yet how the current condition of crypto policy in Turkey is, but in this case natural disasters are unexpected incidents which in the restoration process can be softened while policies are contradictory as long as they don't have a continuous risk. To change the policy, I think they will still follow the procedure especially measuring how much ability they have to handle the risk side.
Seeing crypto donations are getting huge and these could be very useful in restoring the country again so most likely, the country will start taking the positive side of bitcoin and maybe revise the country’s policies if it’s really needed. But this would also mean taking some risks legalizing cryptocurrency that is why, the country should dig deeper about it before they can decide whether to legalize it or still ban it continuously.
1155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: February 15, 2023, 08:43:13 PM
Bitcoin is digital currency that is being widespread almost all the continent, and some people notice the development of Bitcoin very late, and it enables some people not to invest in Bitcoin in far back 2009 and 2010. Therefore i noticed that teaching children of Bitcoin in early stage and mostly children that is up to ten years and above, inculcating the functions and the importance of Bitcoin in children will make them to develop widely with the knowledge being inculcates with them already. I think that Bitcoin is good to be known from youthful age. I have noticed that assuming so many of us notice the important of Bitcoin in time we would have all be a partial millionaire if I'm not mistaken of being a full millionaire.
It’s not a wrong move to educate children about bitcoin but never expect that they will get completely the real meaning of bitcoin especially that bitcoin topic is quite complicated. But at least, the fact that you start inculcating to them the value of bitcoin and how it will be more profitable in the future, then they will always remember and be aware of that. But expecting them to be millionaire in the future because of bitcoin, that point could mean letting them feel about being pressured about bitcoin which I think is not supposed to happen since they will be the one to chase their luck and life.
1156  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: February 14, 2023, 09:58:24 PM
The popularity of crypto currencies has been on the rise in recent years and many people are drawn to them as a means to achieveing goal of financial freedom.
Additionally, the decentralization and global nature of crypto currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum and others, have made them an attractive option for those who want to take control their financial future and want to avoid traditional banks and financial institutions. They can also provide hedge against inflation and currency devaluation.

Given these factors, the dream of financial freedom can come true by using crypto currency?
I guess a lot have proven it already that they are gaining financial independence with crypto that is why most of the people nowadays are now starting to explore the crypto market hoping one day they can invest with the right projects that will eventually give the decent amount of profits. However, it’s also a certain thing that crypto is not just about making profits and gaining financial freedom, it can also make your whole life into a roller coaster ride and end up financially broken if you invest in the wrong way.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 12, 2023, 11:26:36 AM

As of right now, I wouldn't put much stock in the Suns' prospects of making the NBA Finals this year. Yes, Durant, Booker, and CP3 provide them a lot of offensive firepower, but it will take some time for them to gel as a team. Given his importance on defense, Ayton's performances this season will be a major element in deciding the Suns' fate.

I think they just have enough time to make that chemistry work. We have not seen Durant play yet, he is still healing his injury, but the moment he joined the practice, I'm sure slowly they will form a good band as these star players that are within the team are very much hungry to win a championship, especially for Chris Paul who has been in the league for awhile.

Next is what fans and viewers mostly anticipated, Manila-Clasico the rivalry that fans really wanted to watch with both sister company plays like they are not related, players are really showing all the best that they can to entertain the fans,.

We will be witnessing a great game now. Ginebra vs Magnolia, this will be an entertaining game to watch, and the odds are almost even, so you can take Ginebra if you believe they will win. By the way, it looks like C. Stand and J Aguilar are still out, but who cares? Ginebra had proven they can win based on their undefeated record.

Edit : C. Stand played but not Japeth.
1159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 12, 2023, 09:30:48 AM
The initial date that we here for his fight is sometime around April or even May in Japan. Maybe they are just waiting for a good weather there and just few touch ups on the contract itself.

And as long as we don't hear even a little problem on this fight, we can always assume that it's going to happen. Besides, I'm pretty sure that Bob Arum would like this fight, another belt for his cash cow in case Inoue will win, that way Inoue's popularity will increase which will benefit his promotion.

Just look at how distribute the offense of the Magic are. 6 players in double-digits. I believe that when this is the kind of offense a team has, they're very hard to stop because you don't know who you will be focusing with. Quite unfortunate that they lost to the Heat on their home, but it's a close one and I thought that they will win against them again. Anyway, I'll try to bet again on the Magic depending on their opponent/s.
Magic is a good team this season, so I will not regret backing them every time they'll play.

Well, they lose against the Heat, but it was a close game, they were actually leading, they just have some mistakes that they need to learn to be a matured team. It's a young team but they are competing at a highest level. Anyhow, congratulations to the backers of the heat, they won and cover.
