Are there any uptodate informations, is the dao still draining or it's finished with drainage.

I believe they could have kept draining the DAO but, according to the hacker, they stopped as Vitalik was talking about a hard fork.

interesting LTBTC video podcast talking about it from last night

How to send to bittrex from lite wallet?

Code:
Error!
Account number must be a sequence of 35 alphanumeric characters with no spaces starting with '1W'

Bittrex address starts with 3PXXXXXXXXXXXXXX...

Go back a few pages, they said to add a "1W" to the 3PXXXX.... Bitrex deposit address.
I can't yet confirm that, but quite a few have. Just send 2 WAVES as a test imo.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Company] IoT meets blockchain - A TheDAO proposal on: June 19, 2016, 10:09:58 AM
So is the project still going forward or is it affected by the dao situation?

The project is gone, they have dissolved it.

But this is not really true. The Ethereum team are still talking about what to do: softfork, hardfork, etc.
Maybe the DAO will be over but what is to be done regarding the Ethereum in a child DAO is still up in the air.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 19, 2016, 08:54:46 AM
Anyone know the next deposit of coins to our addresses? (Last I heard was yesterday)

Thx in advance,
Its about sharing
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: June 18, 2016, 05:53:09 PM
Well, now I'm kinda annoyed that I sold my FCT, but I'm not gonna buy them back. Tongue I sold because the Factom team never talks to me or lets me know what they're really doing, even though I'm one of the Community Leaders. I don't know if M2 is next week or next year, or really anything about who they're talking to in China, and that's not only scary but annoying.

Even if I miss out on bigger rallies and my wins are relatively smaller, I'll be correct more often if I am knowledgeable and informed, which plenty of other development teams are willing to do--at least for me. It's almost an issue of respect. I'm definitely happy with all the gains I made up until now, though!

I too sold my Factom, but you can be sure, I would have sold it once I saw they are working with the Department of Homeland Security.
Maybe they can shut down sports streaming sites together? lol
I would have sold on principle.

I doubt you have a point here. The reason is, that the word "honesty" in Factom is more than just PR/marketing. Factom will only have success if they do absolutely nothing that would compromise them or the system. With that being said: It's nothing bad about it if a "honesty-system" is implemented as much as possible in dishonest areas, like politics, finances, etc.

If you want that only the "good guys" use Factom it misses the point. Important is that Factom itself is on the right side, that the system is really credible and nearly impossible (nothing is totally impossible) to corrupt. And I have no doubt that the team will do all to be on the safe side regarding that subject if it comes to partnerships with institutions that might be shady in some ways. I don't have too much knowledge about US-Institutions (from germany), but what I find really interesting is reading Paul Snows posts on reddit about politics. I don't know him personally but I would make any bet that he is not just in this game for the money but honest about the deeper meaning of Factom.

Fair point

I would have sold on principle.

Given this threads title, I'm surprised you bought in at all.

There is nothing honest about organizations formed out of dishonesty.
I am not against honesty, hence my initial purchase.

Why lisk so low?

Thank Ethereum
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 18, 2016, 04:44:48 PM
ETH, DAO and Lisk are all down. Time for Waves to be released so it can capture the money going out of the Big 3.

Right now is not the time to hit the market. The fear is deep and people are running to Bitcoin.
If they can come up with another delay, it will only help imo.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 18, 2016, 04:43:39 PM

Man, this is really bad for Ethereum. Now there fungibility is gone. And Vitalik can't exactly change his statement now.
In hindsight, he probably should have not done anything regarding a "fix".
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: June 18, 2016, 04:41:29 PM
Stupid weak hands, why the hell would you sell Lisk now? What stupid.

It's a solid shakeout.  I've doubled my LISK so far from trading.

lol fucking idiots panic

I think people are just trying to get out of crypto and afraid that it will also happen to Lisk.

In part but it is weird as LISK is a bit of a hedge to Ethereum yet we seem to be being pulled down by it.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: June 18, 2016, 04:06:26 PM
I can see that fungibility is a very important aspect of both a money and a decentralized programmable platform.

I think Ethereum would be better off to just let the thief make off with the coin. Try somehow to allow for tracking so they can bust him.
But a rollback or software fix is the end but Vitalik has already made that statement.
Ouch.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ether price? on: June 17, 2016, 08:29:47 PM
I'm going to update my above Ethereum price.
Pretty rough hit with the hack of the DAO today. Ethereum has lost over 30%.
I think there are questions of "What happens when another contract is exploited?" Is rollbacks or software "fixes" gonna be a norm?
Then we don't have that immutable database, now do we?

Clearly having $160 million sitting in a contract is gonna attract some interesting hackers. Perhaps having subcontracts, separate side chains, etc. could help alleviate some hacks.

I'm not sure where the price is headed, but most certainly not up (unless big money wants to prop up their previous investment.)
154  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 17, 2016, 03:27:40 PM
after carefully analyzing the chart for 5mins i conclude that we are STILL going to the moon.

LOL
Suprised I hadn't seen that one before.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 17, 2016, 11:19:05 AM
Wow, 1000 "pages" but only like 50 pages of content.  Grin

Hopefully the Ethereum debacle didn't hurt things much. Nice that we didn't launch yesterday, but are we still on for Poloniex today or is that also on the 20th?

#1 there wasnt anything with ETH, just with DAO
#2 Fixed already

1 - I understand this had to do with a contract but to say this didn't affect ETH or any other cryptos would be an understatement.
2 - Has it really been fixed, the ETH are in a child DAO and it might take a bit of a hack / strong arming things (a bit of central control).

And are we launching today on Polo? Thx in advance.

Latest - "So far it seams that hackers ETH are locked in that child DAO contract and can't just be sent anywhere else and dumped."

Hopefully that is true and judging by the bounce back, it is.

But in 20-30 days, they will be moveable lol.
The pullback is done by guys who didnt hear the news yet.

I guess they will just be DAO voted against or some sort of "hack" done to make it zero chance.

159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO/ Ethereum hacked - bitcoin price? on: June 17, 2016, 10:31:30 AM
Good time to buy lisk lol

True, but it got knocked down more than Ethereum! Now recovered more.
If it had happened with LISK, I think they could have tried to just kill the sidechain.

Found this "but so far it seams that hackers ETH are locked in that child DAO contract and can't just be sent anywhere else and dumped"
So, looks like the Hacker just created a scare.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Company] IoT meets blockchain - A TheDAO proposal on: June 17, 2016, 08:38:44 AM
Looks like the DAO was hacked. And trading on both ETH and DAO was halted on Poloniex.

wow, I remember a news article mentioning the risks of the DAO, it's an absolute disgrace that the leaders of the project did not hire some good developers/hackers to assure security, they raised 150 million ffs!

I think (we) all knew the dangers of ETH due to the more complex nature. It looks like they hacked the Ethereum out of the DAO wallets (or something like that).
I hate to say things like this are to be expected, but there (was) 200,000,000 USD just sitting there saying "Hack me" basically.

It shows you how strong Bitcoin is having lasted all these years but also having very very few changes.
