I like MyFarm's idea of a % of the block reward going to a transparent and accountable Spread Foundation, but I've proposed the same thing for Darkcoin several times and know how unpopular an idea it is. People talk about principles but for most what it boils down to is that they can't bring themselves to give up a little now for a greater return down the line.* If your principles are so steadfast, how about supporting the adoption of Spread by contributing a little to its development, marketing, promotion? Relying on volunteer contributions isn't going to work. Half the Spread Foundation's income from any block reward split could go to some worthy cause and Spread would still be better funded than just about anything but Ripple and the mindboggling nonsense that is Ethereum. Nearly everyone on this forum seems to think that anyone or anything in the crypto scene matters at all to the rest of the world - it doesn't, at all, because the rest of the world doesn't even know we exist. Getting the message out to the masses is going to take more that technical merit and wishful thinking. When you have shitty phone apps that are valued in billions but something like Spread is valued three orders of magnitude less, you're doing something wrong. Maybe we need a crowdfunding campaign... *edit: not once though in this thread have I heard any SPR miner complain, at all, that the block reward is going to get split between them and MN operators. This has been an absolutely fantastic and refreshing change from the Darkcoin thread, where miners have generally done nothing but bitch and moan about Masternode payments... so thank you fellow Spread miners for understanding that MNs will increase the value of SPR and are in your financial interest. I think giving up more then 5% of the block reward to the "foundation" is way too much. I would definately support 1%

Even though you can look at the post to see if it's edited, it's usually quite overwhelming to check every post when processing pages of information manually.
How do you check if a post has been edited?

Ok since I didn't really get a clear answer before I am going to ask again;
My VPS has 2 ip's. How do I start two Spreadcoin wallets with each wallet on a different ip? (so I can have 2 masternodes)
Bind the daemons to the unique IP's it was answered with the forum link. Well I specifically said can I use -bind and whoever answered it didn't say yes. They just said "You could do it this way" and sent me a link. (the link has really bad english) I have my VPS's wallet set up already so I don't know where to start ln the instructions. So it is as easy as -bind? Yes, you'll have to change the rpc port as well, and make sure they are open on your server and local firewalls. How do I check if the ports are open and if they aren't, how do I open them? And this will enable me to run 2 masternodes on 1 VPS?

Have you started working on the skins option menu?
Barely. I should have more time to work on it after Wednesday. I'll have it done by the weekend, at the latest. Now I am sure something bad has happened to HunterMinerCrafter. Look how long ago this quoted post was. Last Active: December 03, 2014, 03:59:37 AM I'm being serious, I think he/someone close to him died. Maybe he crashed his car and is in a coma. Maybe we can find out who he is. The following is a small part of a PM from HunterMinerCrafter dating back months ago. I've been doing digital logic design professionally for almost two decades
This tells us he is at least 36 and the quote at the top tells us something bad happened between the 3rd and 7th of November 2014. so something happened after the 3rd of December. Now we need to find out what.

guys around September this year I want to pay a graphic designer to create new sprites and skins is there anyone that I can somehow pay to develop a phone version? that can somehow be connected to some amazon servers to cionnect to the blockchain or something? I want to make the game marketable to the public...
With HunterMinerCrafter gone i'm pretty sure this coin will never reach mass adoption. You can try but I think it'll be a waste of money. I don't want to be negative but we don't even have a dev. (HMC, it would be good if you could login now)

Because it will format the whole drive.
You tried to format part of a drive? I've been MCSE certified for 15 years, and I've never heard of that! Yeah, tried to format one partition of usb, should've used Gparted but went ahead with startup disc creator and it wiped the whole thing clean. lol. We all make mistakes. When I was your age, I probably took apart a 1.2MB large floppy to try and make it double sided. I don't exactly know what you mean by that but when I was little, I used to stack 2 dvds on top of eachother and think that after the first movie the second movie would play.

My VPS has 2 ip's. Does that mean I can configure my Spreadcoin wallet to use a different ip, thus having 2 masternodes?
I know how to make the wallet use a different datadir, so now I just need to know how to change the ip.
Ofcourse. You could probably even do that on the same IP by using two different ports and two daemons/on different datadirs. (you need two because the files will be locked) Wait, what do you mean, change the ip? Your hoster most certainly doesn't allow you to change the ip. Wait so it is possible to run 2 masternodes on 1 ip, just using a different port? Revised question: My VPS has two ip's, one ends in 100 and the other ends in 101. How do I run two masternodes each off one of the ip's? Could I use this: -bind=<addr> Bind to given address and always listen on it. Use [host]:port notation for IPv6 Check this out - https://darkcointalk.org/threads/ec2-multiple-remote-nothing-mn-max-5.1660/ - it's specific to Amazon AWS but gives a good overview of how this could be done. I don't understand what is being done. Is there an easier way?

Hey Darkcoin Masternode owners, I have set up a VNC through SSH to my VPS and I am not sure what happens when I close the connection.
First I close the VNC connection by clicking the X and then the SSH. Does the VPS still run the wallet when you do this or does it pause it or something?

Hmm that's strange. I wonder what you did wrong.

Nvidia miner appears to have a major edge over AMD. 750TI gets 1.6 Mh/s + and R7 265 gets 1.1 Mh/s. Is this correct?
My R9 290X gets 2.7 Mh/s What are your settings for 290x? I only see 2.5 Mh/s out of mine. I didn't change any settings, I just put the intensity up to 21. :/

Hey guys, the daemon's appdata is compatible with the qt's appdata, right? I assume it is exactly the same but i'm just making sure.
Hey Mr. Spread, my .conf file has a private key in it and my wallet says all mined coins will go to <address> but when I click start mining it asks for my password.

Er, there's an egg involved too ....
SShhhhh! Don't spoil the whole story yet Wait, Mr. Spread is going to create another cryptocurrency called eggcoin? And spreadcoin comes together with eggcoin... I should stop now.
