They can do an AMA to clear things up about the project owner or maybe they have done it already, anyways the lead should drop a couples of line here in the thread.

They already did the AMA. You can still read it. A lot of good questions there that will clear everyones doubts.

Can you pass the link to the AMA, I would like some of my questions answers, and it would be great to know more about this project, it looks good to me, but I need more reassurance, being optimistic is well and good, but I also must be realistic, so that AMA that you speak of will help greatly, thanks in advance.

Perhaps before 2020 we will see the Internet in virtual reality. Smiley

Why wait for 2020. It's now a thing of just a few months.
1423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🚀 [ANN][ICO] PAYPIE 🌟🌟🚀 World’s First Blockchain Accounting Platform on: September 10, 2017, 06:05:06 AM
Do you already have something like an MVP?
You mean a minimum viable product? As far as I know they are currently developing in the background and will launch the PayPie platform with realtime credit risk analysis features in Q1 2018. 50% of the platform is already developed, including the entire end-user accounting part of the software.

that's great. would be nice if the product is released fairly soon after ICO. it always leads to a large increase in token value

A bit late but, fully working product is far better than the half-baked at the earliest.
First impression is last impression. It's better to roll a better tested product.
1424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EventChain SmartTickets - Stopping Excessive Ticket Fees on: September 10, 2017, 06:01:51 AM
Tickets market is soooo big, we haven't took into account yet amusement parks, natural parks, circus like cirque du soleil, big events like red bull events, motorsports events (these one are huge in Europe) just to name a few

How about drink/food coupons at events? You can even sell back your unspent ones (if the organiser isn't a dick!)

Well it would be a option which could be considered in future. But selling back the unused coupons? Not sure how this should work. But it would be great if promoters would sell coupons you could use on every event of the same promoter. Most fans are going to a lot of events from the same promoter so they could use them anytime they need the coupons.

I also think that would be difficult to sell back unspent ones, just make sure you used all of them! Drink more beer  Wink
It would be nice to have same coupons on different event, like events on the same location but different day.

There is a bright future in this kind of platforms!!
Keep it up

I don't see why it would be hard to resell unused one.

A platform could be made for an intrafestival where everybody who don't want to use a ticket can sell it on this intraplatform provided by Eventchain.

It won't be hard but, there will a problem that also exist in today's ticketing system. Blackmarketing. People will buy tickets for a popular event on the earliest in bulk and then sell them at higher price near the event.

Yes but that be avoided in eventchain system. They just put an limitation for it. You can't post a ticket with higher than original price. At least in platform it avoids blackmarket. But their hands are tied out of platform.

It could be possible and I would expect someone from EventChain team to put more light on it.

Will it be worldwide?
What if as a property owner I want to list my property for rent in Asia? Can I do that?
1426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] VIBEHub | Crypto Based Virtual Reality Marketplaces & Hubs on: September 10, 2017, 05:27:50 AM
I have one question, could the playstation VR be used on PC and be compatible with your software ?
Probably yes, in white paper they mentioned that they will be partnering with Sony and other hardware companies. But don't quote me on that I could misunderstand them.

what really? they partnered with Sony? Didn't read it on whitepapers. maybe i should re-read it again. It is very good if its true.

We are already on Oculus, these platforms are pleading for good content. Trust me once this token sale is complete and we get more funding and we expand our team, build ar facility, partner with mainstream artists. There is going to be a bidding war between the big players to which one lists VibeHub.

and I will prepare popcorn for that day while hodling my tokens Wink

What was your thinking process to choose ERC20 standard? Why not ERC223 on ETC chain for example which is more secure (https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/223) ?

Actually i wonder it too. Not just paypie, most of the icos using erc20. Has Erc223 has some diffuculty we don't know?

I would love to hear a dev, why they are choosing erc20 instead of erc223

Because of the many issues from explorers to exchanges.
Right now, now exchange supports ERC23 coins.
There's one coin named "Senderon" it's ERC23 but dev is having difficulty listing it on exchanges as they are not yet ready to upgrade.

Yep, forgot about the fact that it's really easy for exchanges to list ERC20 tokens.

And by the way, ETC is supported by a lot of whales which hope to push it at 100$ at the end of the year.

But there's no reason for such a pump, Ethereum is now widely adopted and used. Just watch the money put in ENS Domains  Smiley

Sorry for asking but what are the main differences between both ERC20 and ERC223? I am not really familiar with the all the technical details so I would be happy if someone could sum that up in a few sentences. More security is always nice to have.

ERC23 is improved version of ERC20.

ERC20 is already existing token standard used by ethereum tokens. ERC23 is a new version of token standard.

Problems:

You can't deposit ether in contract that is not specified to accept ether deposits. For example you can't deposit ETC in dao-withdrawal contract. But you can send your ERC20 tokens anywhere so you can deposit BitEtherCoin in dao-withdrawal contract where your BEC will stay forever as dao-withdrawal contract is not designed to work with BEC and there will be no way to access BEC on this contract. ERC23 tokens can't be sent to a random contract similarly to ether. Only contract specified with ERC23 deposits will accept ERC23 tokens.

Transactions:

Transactions between addresses are same in ERC20 and ERC23. When you need to deposit your ERC20 token in contract you should call approval function in token contract to approve a specified (amount*token decimals) to be transferred from your address to target contract. Then you need to call deposit function on target contract to finalize your deposit and transfer your tokens. Note: If you accidentally sent your ERC20 tokens to target contract without calling approval your tokens would be lost!

Interaction between ERC23 and other contracts is much easier. You need just to send your ERC23 tokens to contract address like you send them to another wallet. There is no difference for user to send ERC23 to contract or to address.

100% Backward compatibility:

ERC23 supports all ERC20 functions and can also be transferred via approval method.

Optimization:

In fact transfer of ERC20 tokens between address and contract is a pair of two different transactions while transfer of ERC23 tokens is a single transaction. ERC20 tokens transfer to contract fires Approval event on token contract and then fires Transfer event on contract receiving tokens. ERC23 tokens transfer fires only Transfer event and can prevent extra blockchain bloating as every event is stored in blockchain.

Hello, what are the advantages for token holders since we can use fiat for payment of this project?
No answer for my question  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
Hi Wink
REST tokens will be used as a payment between tenants and landlords, so you can sell REST tokens, or you can rent a property

And there are people like me who don't want government to pry eyes on our transaction. REST will be a great help for me.
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | PARAGON | Revolutionizing the Cannabis Industry | on: September 09, 2017, 02:24:42 PM
I Think the Medical effects of cannabis nowadays are quite undisputed positively whereas there is a huge market potential for this kind of business.

With PARAGON centers, more helpful or positive effects will be potentially discovered by researchers making Cannabis much more likely to go mainstream. Smiley

But the problem is that Paragon is only going to be implemented in the countries where it is legal to do. I would suggest them to try out for other countries too where it is actually needed for medicinal purpose and talk with the governments.

This could be possible as PARAGON centers will attract Cannabis advocates everywhere, together they can lobby for the legalization of Cannabis to  other countries.

I am just waiting for that day to happen.
Why do people only think about it's negative side. Well, most of the medicines have their negative sides, why don't they ban them also.
1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] VIBEHub | Crypto Based Virtual Reality Marketplaces & Hubs on: September 09, 2017, 02:20:17 PM
Yes the possibility of Vibehub are very huge. Live concer,t cinema, show and much more ... and with that a hub where you can add lot of new application with the time. All vr lover will enjoy Vibehub, I wil buy a vr engine just to use Vibehub. And devs said that new big features will be announced soon, so i stay tuned cause I think it willl be great too.

Having a feeling of being teleported to some place through AR AND VR is quite an amazing experience. VIBEHub will make this possible. Smiley

It makes you less social like we already are but, it's fun  Grin
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EventChain SmartTickets - Stopping Excessive Ticket Fees on: September 09, 2017, 02:17:43 PM
EventChain greatly minimizes cost of producing tickets and has the capacity to distribute SmartTickets to  broad channels, thereby boosting ticket sales.

Yeah, that's what I like and they won't even charge user a fee which other platform right now do and makes me wanna stay away from them.

It's hard here to convert crypto into fiat but direct fiat. Just wow.
The more possibilities to pay with crypto the better. We have to overcome the fiat system.

Yeah, because government wants cut in everything so, it's better to avoid fiat where possible.
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | PARAGON | Revolutionizing the Cannabis Industry | on: September 09, 2017, 08:49:01 AM
Paragon investors, I got a question for you, really.

Why do you invest?.

Hard cap is HUGE. the website will not use the token so value wont increase.

Are you donating money?

Website will not use token? Where did they mention it?
If not tokens then what will they use?

from where the statement come from? and, why the site is not use the token? if not the website use it, maybe, paragon will made some platform for using PRG.

That's what I am asking. If website won't take PRG tokens then what's the use of creating them.

Seems like someone with half knowledge posting shite here or someone is trying to create FUD.
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] VIBEHub | Crypto Based Virtual Reality Marketplaces & Hubs on: September 09, 2017, 08:47:09 AM
What will be your monetization source?
WIll you take any fee from creator or audience?

We go into how we will monetize in our whitepaper, we have 4 revenue streams. Taking a percentage of income generated from live streams, charging for our digital assets, VR advertisements and charging fees to other platforms who want to be on VibeHub
Advertisement is great source of income but i hope it wont be like youtube that when your in a session suddenly a big picture will pop, and how much percentage will the platform take from the creators.

That's another beautiful thing about VR, VR ads will be entirely different then what you see today. We can design ads so that they appear in a blimp for example, they will more  aesthetically pleasing than what you see today in current ads.

Initially we won't take anything from creators, but as the platform gains more popularity we will take 10 percent  Smiley

10% seems huge to me. Why would anyone leave 10% of their income?

10 percent is extremely low, artists and educators keeping 90 percent of income streaming on a platform is an amazing net income and quite simply unheard of. Youtube, twitch etc only offer advertisement revenue which is split and subs on twitch and those are split 50/50.

The income opportunities on VibeHub are much larger

Oh sorry it's for advertisements. Yeah, it's pretty low.
I was thinking about the things for which customer has to pay.

It is one of the best project on the blockchain technology right now with no competition at all.
Team is really experienced in their respective domains.
