1421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Reinforced by the pandemic on: November 15, 2020, 08:26:02 PM
Yes, I'm sure it acted as a reinforcement.

Investors always look for signs of strength or weakness on the market. A fall from 20 thousand to 6 thousand was a sign of weakness and we fell even lower to 3000.

A rebound back to 6000 was the first sign of strength followed by 10 thousand and then 14. Each of these made more investors join the rally.
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cloud storage isn't safe place for your wallet keys on: November 14, 2020, 11:23:34 PM
Private keys should be keep like you would keep your bank details e.g credit debit cards, private keys are the keys to your cribs, if you can't keep them offline you are playing with fire, it's better to write down on paper instead on pasting in emails

Private keys should be even more secure. More like your password than your card details.

Knowing your card number a thief can make a transaction but this transaction will be small because most people have limits on their cards and would require a pin code for a larger transaction.

Knowing your private key they can drain your wallet to 0 without any pins or numbers.

Storing in the cloud is stupid.
1423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UPS AND DOWNS IN BOUNTY ACTIVITIES on: November 14, 2020, 10:57:26 PM
If you can't digest altcoin Bounties failure then it's better to start promoting bitcoin paying campaigns, I personally still prefer trying out my luck, to say the truth altcoin bounties have better rewards than bitcoin paying bounties, if you can do good research you won't promote scam or bad projects

Altcoin campaigns are more common and allow for easy access. Most bounties for new campaigns don't have any trust requirements or anything like that.

You can be a forum spammer with basic vocabulary and still manage to earn a few coins. That's why people join them because to get a spot in a bitcoin campaign you usually need more effort. Then they get scammed or get less money than they were expecting and complain about it.

It's not ups and downs, it's the choices you make.
1424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pain of bounty hunters on: November 14, 2020, 10:43:46 PM
I really like your post, things like this have happened a long time ago, when new coins / tokens enter the market and the price continues to fall, the one to blame is the bounty hunter and often the bounty reward is locked to avoid being dumped. it is impossible for us all to sell bounty rewards when prices fall and become cheap. surely we all hope the price goes up. I hope we can all be appreciated by the bounty manager and about the altcoin dev

Any control over the free market from a third party is unacceptable.

If they have to lock coins to stop people from dumping it it means the coin has no value and the one you see is fake.

When you see a coin team do this you know you've done a bounty for a shitcoin that will never be worth anything. Such actions will never make people hold the coin just postpone the inevitable dump.
1425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really think crypto stand a chance agaisnt the financial system on: November 14, 2020, 10:29:10 PM
Crypto is not there to remove fiat. It's to give people an alternative they never had.

Now you either use government money to trade or barter. There are no other currencies just one per country. It would have been fine if governments were not controling it, spying on you, deciding what you can and can't buy. Because of this we need some form of money that cannot be taken from us at the airport because the government decides that you can only take 10 thousand dollars with you in cash.
1426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can people rebel against bitcoin? on: November 14, 2020, 04:13:41 PM
My opinion is everybody can say anthing they want but it doesn't mean they're right and it doesn't mean their remarks have value.

If someone said that Bitcoin is a scam currency the opinions should be backed by evidence. I dare anyone to prove that this is true. If you manage that I'm sure many people will be willing to pay you big money Wink

This is thousands of Bitcoins. I'm not even going to start counting but it hurts to see it. Hope you put the money to a good use because you could have been a billionaire. You could own people like CZ, Ver, and all other rich Bitcoiners.

I came late to the party but I held to what I had and don't have any big regrets.
1428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public perception of Bitcoin as payment method (survey) on: November 14, 2020, 03:35:06 PM
No one would click a random link provided by a newbie also no one would be interested is sharing their personal details to any random person.

1 minute later Grin

I took part in your survey and have some feedback.

The survey is really long OP. You should think of making it less time consuming if you want more people to participate. Not many people will want to spend 15 min clicking through a series of very similar questions.

What's the point of asking if bitcoin transactions are cheaper than bank transactions, then again if bitcoin transactions are cheaper than card transactions, and then again if you can send coins cheaper to your friends with bitcoin than with your bank. If bank transfers aren't cheaper than bitcoin, which is true at this moment, sending money to friends and card payments will also be cheaper in the bank. This is all the same thing.
1429  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-11-10] Ex-Microsoft Dev Gets 9 Years in Prison Over $10M Theft on: November 14, 2020, 03:20:31 PM
It's even worse than that. He stole it using his own account, mixed, sold and moved the money to his personal bank account.

Even if the company missed the theft or failed to find who was selling the cards they'd sooner or later notice that a low level employee had millions of dollars moved to his bank account. I'm sure there was another investigation started by the bank or the IRS but the police was notified much faster.  So stupid.
1430  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: On a scale 1-10: How mad would you be to see a Bitcoin/Bitcoin Testcoin market? on: November 11, 2020, 04:22:38 PM
Just to answer your question:

Why would I be mad or upset about it? As long as it's not mainly being used for scamming, then why not if there's demand for it? Even if I personally don't need it, but if it makes the lives of some people like you better, then why not?

I also don't feel like there would be any reason for people to be mad about it.

The only downside is it would create more confusion on the market similar to what BCH managed to do when it was advertised as Bitcoin's successor and sold as Bitcoin on Roger Ver's website. I'm pretty sure some people would buy/hold these coins thinking they are getting the real thing.
1431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earn and save in Satoshi on: November 11, 2020, 04:02:53 PM
I think it is better to invest in bitcoin, ETH, BCH, LTC and altcoins which are already valuable and have very good potential.  the very cheap price of satoshi makes me less interested in keeping it.  I once had quite a lot of satoshi coins but after I checked the price in the market it turned out to be very cheap and didn't experience a lot of price increases since then I sold all the satoshi I had and never kept it again.

Another smart idea.

Instead of buying BTC advise people to get more shitcoins forked from BTC like BCH. LTC isn't any better since even its founder sold and abondoned the project years ago.

If you have a choice to get more BTC or get more altcoins always choose BTC unless you have so much of it that you want to gamble with some alts.
1432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin fall to zero? Be woke with changes of No. of BTC with $ 1 million on: November 11, 2020, 03:44:39 PM
I don't understand how the charts posted by OP might indicate a trend of going to 0 or in any way support the idea in the title of this thread.

Literal 0 is only possible if all exchanges disappear. Even if there's a single exchange somewhere in the land of the nerds where people collect various things, like Japan, the value will always be above 0.

I can see that transaction value is going down, but the total value of the asset is going up so it's normal. Long time ago you had to spend 100 BTC to buy a car but now just 1 is enough so it's understandable that transactions will become smaller but as long as there will be any the amount and $ value will be above 0.
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know the difference between Bitcoin and bitcoin? on: November 11, 2020, 03:30:27 PM
I remember reading a thread about it some time ago but I haven't really paid much attention to how I write it. I often wrote it with capital letter as a proper name unless I forgot about it.

I often misspell things and don't use proper punctuation because I'm clumsy and easily distracted.

The Bitcoin's Blockchain should be written with a B capitalized. Any other blockchain with b (they just copy the name on the top of that).

I like this definition. Some deseve to be written like this: bSV bLOCKCHAIN. Wink
1434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: dollar vs bitcoin on: November 11, 2020, 03:22:58 PM
Dollar is not the only world reserve currency and not the only tradable pair with BTC.

Weak Dollar means stronger bitcoin but it's only one of the factors that influence the market.

I guess the Federal Reserve doesn't take donations Wink

1435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 10, 2020, 10:48:21 PM
In theory it's possible to gamble with ponzi schemes. I've never done it but there are threads on this forum started by people who did.

I even saw posts where people said it's a good and easy way to earn money and that ponzis should be advertised because when you know it's a ponzi you cannot lose. You just deposit and withdraw fast with small profit and you know you're safe which is of course a lie.

Probably half of all ponzis on the market are total scams where only their shills and maybe a few first people are able to withdraw anything. The rest gets stuck there forever. You think you can enter and exit but your money is lost the moment you deposit. I don't recommend it it's not real gambling.
1436  Economy / Economics / Re: Waiters/Waitresses/bellboys etc just lost their jobs on: November 10, 2020, 10:35:02 PM
An electronic doglike creature will not do the same job as a waiter/waitress. What is this thread even about? Cheesy

You can train a monkey to sell entry tickets at the zoo but will that monkey be a reliable worker? Will you be able to keep it working for 8 hours a day 7 days a week?

We need human interaction and robots are not developed enough to work without supervision and supervision is expensive.

What would you prefer to pay a waiter $10 per hour or employ a robot for free but pay the supervising technician $20 per hour and cover the cost of parts?
1437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Risks Of Bitcoin Going To Zero Has Gotten More Lower Than Ever on: November 10, 2020, 09:07:38 PM
The chances of bitcoin going to zero has been pretty much next to impossible anyway. For bitcoin to go to literally zero, literally everything should go wrong, along with the zero nodes running and such. Sub $1000? Though highly highly unlikely(and getting a lot more unlikely as time goes), it's still possible. But zero?? Nah man.

It will always have a collectible value so even a few years ago there was no chance of it going below $1.

By 0 many people don't mean a literal 0 but a very small value like $5 or so. At this point if Bitcoin were to lose more than 99% of its value it would be dead as any other tradable asset is.

Usually when altcoins lose this much they are delisted by exchanges and abandoned by traders so it wouldn't really matter if Bitcoin went to $0.1 or $5 the result would still be the same.
1438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stanley Druckenmiller: another billionaire sees bitcoin as store of value on: November 10, 2020, 06:02:16 PM
I wonder if this has something to do with Biden and the rumors that he's going to be bad news for the rich.

If this happens to be true many rich people will choose Bitcoin at least as a hedge investment or a safety fund. Nowadays keeping money in Bitcoin is better than keeping it on a Swiss account.
1439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum User Spends $9,500 in Fees Sending Just $120 on: November 10, 2020, 03:48:57 PM
Do you think that guy set his gas correctly before sending that $120 ? I think there should not be any ethereum blockchain errors . I have never heard about them knowing the fact ethereum is in the market since 2016

He's naming it wrong. It wasn't just a fee error but a human error.

You can do things like that in Bitcoin as well and there were instances where people set higher fees than the coins they were trying to send.

It's an expensive mistake and I agree that there should be a system preventing users from setting their fees too high.
1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUY 32 ETH on: November 10, 2020, 03:09:07 PM
In a cz tweet he said ("" I might buy 32 #ETH, just for the cause. Not financial advice. Just supporting ETH development "")

I might buy 32 ETH, not financial advice, just bought it and trying to tell the world about it to pump the coin so I can profit. Wink

Who are you trying to fool CZ?

LOL. Not sure about it but that is possible. Do you think CZ is hodling a lot of ETH with him? Or does he need to? Do you think this very rich man needs to shill Ethereum for the sake of money? I really doubt that but like I said it is also possible.

Personally I am reading this as a legit way of saying let us try this new ETH development and see how it works or turns out.

Don't you know that saying that you are never rich enough. Would any of the popular billionaires turn down a chance to make another million?

He's rich, but you always have to take these tweets with a grain of salt. He'll say he thinks of buying 32 and really means another 32 Wink

Probably hyping the market and the current update of ETH.
Anyway, If I do have funds I'll do the same thing since ETH will always be my favorite altcoins and I'm glad that I bought some of ETH before on a dump market but that is not enough for me to qualify for staking if ever. Well, hopefully the requirements can still be changed and lower down to 1 ETH at least, I can't wait to see the result of this update and I do hope for the best to all the supporters of ETH, keep on holding but not my financial advice too.

IGood luck to you too. I also have some ETH, but I wouldn't buy just because CZ is tweeting about it. Rich people trying to pump on tweeter are pathetic.
