1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 2bacco coin - Stay away on: July 31, 2015, 02:32:00 PM
I asked questions about legality of buying cigarettes online with 2bacco coin and he deleted my post.

stinks like a scamcoin. I had some just sold them after checking my inbox and seeing this. Dev shouldn't be deleting valid questions. Anyways..thought people should be warned so they don't end up with another bag of shitcoin.

scammers/pump groups own majority of this coin, i believed 4 to 6 people max and the rest are smaller fishes. it will be the end of this coin when the big fishes start to dumps. i think the dumps will start soon when they realized this photoshoped showdowmarket is just fake. i guessed they're still not realize this photoshoped showdowmarket is fake, yet.

part of you say is true but that happens in every market...even in BTC there are big fishes who control the market

I think it's pretty good and most people are aware of how good it is...it's one of the few coins that I'm invested in. Problem isn't just having a good tech...you need good marketing, big investors etc and I think SDC is missing that...don't forget big marketing costs big money and it's hard to come up with that kind of investment on your own.

meanwhile BTC has all those and lot of people support it...it has ATM, big investors, it's famous, celebrities are behind it and list goes on. You CANNOT compete with bitcoin but SDC should be 4th in the list imho.

I don't think Shadows target market will be competing with bitcoin directly, but being a btc fork it will certainly make it easier to plug directly into any service that currently uses bitcoin, with the added advantage of also being able to make transactions private.  The money and marketing will happen in time, you just have to remember that this is no pump and dump coin.

no doubt
1449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The missing key to crypto adoption? on: July 31, 2015, 09:32:27 AM
Well, startcoin is basically rich people with premined coin giving it away on scraching cards in London. They market through people like Max Keiser, Russel Brand and millionair Karl Grey. So if they wont succed, then I guess it needs something more than just give it to people. Also coins with air drops went to shit quite fast after distributions, so Im not sure that "give it away" is key.

I think what people need is knowledge and deeper understanding. Most people dont know economy, finance industry, technology, they dont even know laws of evolution. You would need to create environment that would force people to get interested in cryptos, that is why cryptoheads hope in collapse of fiat.

When I talk about crypto to my friends and family they laugh at me, they think Im stupid, .... even when I told them about self driving cars...they laughed at me, they think I got hoaxed by internet. LOL

well Bitcoin jumped from $0.50 to $1200 and then crashed..so you can't blame people who doubt it. not many people are risk taker when it comes to majority of population. I know people who bought bitcoin at $1000 and then lost lot of money after it crashed and they're everywhere to provide their testimony on how they got raped by altcoin add to that people who lost money in other altcoins because of pnd and you've covered over 30% of the population who'll never invest in crypto nor they will let anyone else invest in it because they think it's ponzi scheme. lol

The missing key to crypto adoption?
- As a transaction currency:
Not easy enough to be used. At least when I did my research around one year ago the payment process on most terminals took longer and was more complicated and expensive than the use of a credit cards or cash.

- The use case for storage and transfer of value:
1. Is hindered by unpredictable volatility (which is not a big issue since it will go away once growth has become less explosive and the technology more mature)

2. Is hindered because for save use, all adopters need to have at least intermediate to advanced knowledge of "technology in general". What I mean by this is not that they require big knowledge of computer science, but that they need to be very responsible and knowledgeable in their use of the computer: backing up wallets, use of various secure storage media, restoring wallets, not loosing keys, choosing secure passwords, not forgetting passwords, knowing what to do when chain synchronization doesn't work, how to fix their internet connection etc.
I don't see that a large portion of the population fit for this.

Mass crypto adoption will only happen once crypto is save, easy and attractive enough to be used as first choice for payment by a 55 year old women with IQ 90 from a developing country, with rudimentary knowledge of English who uses her computer/smartphone sporadic for a few hours per week.

This sounds about right. There is a reason why Bitcoin ATM are being installed..to make it easier for people to buy bitcoin..even those who aren't too tech savvy can buy bitcoin easily with those ATM.

Question is education and it's not that easy to get on bitcoin without credit card ..even then process is way way way too complicated that lot of people just give up on it when they're trying to buy bitcoin.

hopefully people will more tech savvy in future compare to right now and that'll help adoption. Also, people need reason to use bitcoin/altcoin...right now that reason is missing big time. Once all big companies, airlines, phone companies, electric company have implemented bitcoin and companies are using bitcoin to pay their employees only then it will be succesful...and most importantly government won't let it fly like that.
1452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin section may be the reason why crypto succeeds in the future on: July 31, 2015, 07:54:03 AM
nah. I think most altcoins will die in the future except handful which will continue to grow because of development, proper marketing, innovation regardless if they're being promoted on btctalk or not.

marketcap of altcoins in general have decreased substantially overtime. It's not like people don't know altcoins exist..they just think it's a scam (which is true in most altcoins cases). If people who are in altcoins think that most altcoins are scam..how do you even expect general population to think otherwise? it's like McDonald trying to say their burger is best while their employees saying it tastes like shit.

may be once exchanges are regulated we might see more investors coming in but right now if you talk about altcoins outside crypto they label it scam because they've lost money in past...it's gambling for most new investors at this point.

When people get scammed by ANY altcoin..they don't say "this altcoin is scam"..they would label ALL ALTCOINS as scam in general and stay away from it. stereotype bias kicks in and investors walk away because no one wants to lose money regardless of how small it is. Only strongest investors stick in and look for good project to invest in while weak investors (80%) walk away and look for other opportunity to increase their income.

such is life in crypto.
1453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your Ibits on: July 31, 2015, 06:27:04 AM
iBits it's like 3rd generation of Dibbits, and Diggits. all was ico coin from crowsale and obviously it was scam coin.
my post was deleted too, but not in iBits, its on diggits thread. and then i see iBits coin launch. the typical is same with with dibbits, and diggits.
ico on crowsale, thread is self-moderated,self buy ico dev, and etc.
but you still managed to get profit if you get in first and out first  Grin

just like most scam if you get in the beginning you'll most likely come out with profit. It's the late investors I'm worried about (those who thinks it'll pump again and then end up with bags of shit)..look at globe thread..it was dumping and people kept buying hoping it would go up..why not it was at 0.0003 at one point buying at 4k doesn't sound like a bad idea but it is extremely bad because this scammer don't even care about pumping it again..he just dumps all his shares and move on to next coin while slowly lowering his 5 btc wall to make sure that investors keep investing for cheap coins.

It also makes me think he has no investing experience..may be bunch of high school kids with rich parents who just found out about crypto and now using it to increase their income so they can afford bigger car than their peers and impress their 14 yrs old girlfriend.

it's old and distiributed properly between investors
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to decide what cryptocurrencies to invest in? on: July 31, 2015, 06:15:36 AM

I meant newer. typo
1456  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk is the King of Crypto. Even Coindesk is a waste of time! (Pics) on: July 31, 2015, 06:11:13 AM
Crypto section of btctalk is like jungle filled with wild monkeys fighting over banana.  Cheesy

If you want real truth don't just solely rely on btctalk because it's bias. bagholders would claim their coin is the best and it'll replace btc while fudders would claim it's scam.
1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to decide what cryptocurrencies to invest in? on: July 31, 2015, 05:59:46 AM
Community Support, Research research research, more research, look at chart to see how consistent price has been overtime, don't invest on anything that's newer than 6 months (most likely they're scam). If you have doubt about any crypto don't invest over 1% of your total investment, don't get greedy, you need to hold good crypto for at least few months before you see big jump in price so don't get nervous, don't believe anything anyone tell you use your own head.

Here are some crypto that already have good community, support, dev.

SDC
MCZ
LTC
DOGE
DRK
BTC
BAY
BLACK
START
Stellar
NXT
XMR (not sure about this one..it looks risky at this point)
CANN (it has hit rock bottom so most likely going to rise)
NAV (don't buy if it's over 1000 sat..good for short term)
ETC (don't buy if it's over 0.001 wait for it to dip.. it has potential)

just monitor the market and look at all time lowest and highest price it'll give you an idea of how good it is.

good luck

Very much interested, about 5/7 btc to spend Smiley

No, you and the poster above you are very much confused.  See, we don't pump altcoins; keep your btc.  What we do is pump other pump groups.  Standby for more details.

Yo dawg I heard you like pumping so I put pump group in your pump group....
1459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOBSURPLUS IS IN CHARGE, YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS... on: July 30, 2015, 10:16:57 AM
LOL, Just found this thread now. What a joke yall are.
It's like bobsurplus hater hour up in this bitch.
I just wanna know why all you guys dont understand that what I do here is no different then from what anyone does here.
I invest in coins, take profit and move along. Sometimes I get paid to promote coins and earn an income that way and most of those occasions I end up investing in the project I'm promoting.
What's so bad about that? Why am I the bad guy?

Grin

GO!

EDIT: PS. My account has never been for sale but for the cool price of five hundred thousand USD it can belong to anyone.

Sometimes I get paid to promote coins

exactly and much more..
you are in cahoots with coin cloners who have no intention of making a viable currency.
nothing but a short term Ponzi to pick up some cash and you and your crew of buddies do it dishonestly !
one key way is pretending you have grandiose plans.. "Crypt retirement savings plan" ring a bell ?
it's funny you have the nerve to try and defend your actions and say we're no different.
unlike you there is no records tying me to the same behavior you have been caught doing.. so nice try bud LOL

Pumping is the same as a Ponzi scheme or Pyramid scheme and outright manipulation that's serve no purpose but to inflate and dump.
Your Pump and dump group tactics are cancerous to crypto and you single handidly have been responsible for a lot of why this scene is so dead.
And I laugh at you and say yet again your the dumb one not us because you ruined a good thing for peanuts.. chump change really.
scamming this small community out of our bitcoin with clone coins and shenanigans and market manipulation etc
got you a lot of Bitcoin.. FROM US the usual guys who are into this crap heavily.
And if you used your brain you could have attracted the whole entire world and made 800,00% times the profit you have.
You and your coin cloner buddies and the exchanges etc..

you guys blew it and I hope your happy struttin' around with a mitful of pocket change thinking your a big Playa LOL
A smart person as you put "paid to advertise coins" would attract new users rather than trying to drain us dry here at the forum etc
1 Richard Branson added to our scene would be worth more than scamming 900 kids from their 1 or 2 bitcoin.
Think of all the people who actually have money out there that *COULD be involved in this stuff.
Jerk off to your ohhhh soooo leet Bitcoin profits and realize you could have helped turn Crypto into a multi Trillion dollar economy
bringing in the worlds financial communities instead you fucked it up bad and created a scene that is vulgar and embarrassing.
Feel like a big shot ? I have a few quarters and pennies in my pocket want that too ?

and don't even..
a google search or a search on this forum links you directly to the mob of tards pulling all this crap.. so there is no denying squat buddy boy.

it's not as simple as you've mentioned. In order to investigate something people who have to know how it works...with crypto it's not as easy. Try reporting crypto scam to FBI..you'll have to spend hours in explaining how it works and even then they would have hard time investigating it because they can't understand what is wallet, blockchain, key etc. We're still years away till crypto becomes scam free zone.

First of all bobsurplus or other scammers can only do it till exchanges accept it. Something needs to be done to get those exchanges back on track so they investigate all the scams that are being posted on daily basis. bobsurplus scamd are at least well planned compare to other crap that's being created these days (iBits, Dibbits, Globe etc) and it'll keep going on until scams can be sold to other people.

Crypto has attracted hackers, high school kids who have no job, 3rd world countries people who're struggling with money

and they will do everything they can to scam people..it's easy money.
