I will go for 1 Bitcoin. If given such options, as bitcoin will definitely cross 100k in year or two.

You get gifted one of these two portfolios that you have to hold until 2030...

Option 1
1 #bitcoin
10,000 #cardano
100,000 #dogecoin

Option 2
20 #ethereum
10,000 $matic
1,000 #chainlink

Which do you choose?

Option 1 (and the only one option)

It seems to me that people are getting a little too comfortable with the idea that the bottom is behind us.  Especially as the mtgox coins are closer to being distributed.  Granted, as soon as the mtgox cloud over the market is no more, we should see a monster rally.  People going long right now though are taking a pretty big gamble that the market will be able to absorb more than 100K BTC.  I'm not a market timer, but I'd be careful here.  The market appears to be setting itself up for a pretty buy 'buy the rumor, sell the news' moment.  DCA is always a good idea, but if I were betting the farm all in one spot, I'd wait until we see how the market reacts to the gox coins.  I'd rather lose a few % on the upside than risk losing half because I wanted to grab the absolute bottom.

This guy is a well-known bear. I personally don't remember a single bullish post from him. Doom, gloom, blood in the streets, sell, sell, sell...  Grin Grin Grin DYOR.

It's a new day and there's a new cheat sheet. Note circled in green, we are here. Similar to the new cheat sheet I made in December 2021

What if this cycle is rolling faster and we're somewhere between depression and disbelief?  Cool

Observation:

Nocoiners, lowcoiners, shitcoiners, mindrusters, et al., are usually the ones that talk too much*, directly or indirectly bashing Bitcoin, insinuating its destruction, and posting smartass funny comments about it, perhaps subconsciously trying to amuse themselves and ease the incoming pain they're all going to have to take. And that's a lot of pain. We're talking PAIN... The thick, flaky, rusty pipe kind of pain...

The HoDLers just chill, relax and patiently wait for the inevitable mega-UPpity, while stacking sats whenever they can. They know their coins are precious and would not part with them no matter what.

Life's good.

HoDL.

* I must exclude Jay, who always talks a lot (and is a HoDLer--and has something to say--most of the time--#no-homo, you fuck!)

Edit: Just for the record, death_wish is also excluded. And by "talk too much" I don't just mean long posts, but many posts. They know who they are, and they will soon feel the pain. The rusty pipe, train-in-your-ass kind of pain...

To tell you the truth, sometimes I envy mindrust a bit. The guy made history, he has a fair chance of being mentioned in Bitcoin history books. Of course, he paid the price, but his name has become immortal and he will be remembered in the centuries to come...  Grin

Genuine question... either my memory fails me, or I just never cared enough.... but what price did mindrust buy/mine at ?

He bought around the same price he sold at.

I think he bought a little higher than he sold, but together with the forks he came out about even.
If I remember it right, getting out before losing money was the main reason for him to pull the trigger...

What did that guy even think, that all the other buyers / holders never had to endure paper losses?? fucking snow flake

Thanks. Huh, I wonder if mindrust still walks among us, perhaps with a different handle?

I would like to think that he would have the balls, and, would be accepted by the "community" if he ever chose to reappear here.

We want everyone to be successful............ right guys?

I've heard he has become a shitcoiner...  Cool

What does that mean? he has become an altcoin maximalist?

Or is a "shitcoiner" anyone  that dare put 1-10-20% into a altcoin ? (whilst being 80% BTC for example?)

Legit, would like to know how he is doing....

Found this. Not sure if it's fake or not though...

P.S. Perhaps you can send him a PM to find out...

Our insane prime minister Boris Johnson will be out I reckon.

Rishi Sunak, The Chancellor of the Exchequer and Health Secretary Sajid Javid have quit the cabinet.

My Putin v the western leaders score card:

[ x ] Boris Johnson
[ ] Grandpa Joe Biden
[ ] Emmanuel Macron                 v.                   [ ] Vladimir Putin
[ ] Olaf Scholz
[ ] Mark Rutte
[ ] Volodymyr Zelenskyy

An X will mark executed from power. The last one standing without an X wins and gets the chocolate factory

Maybe Johnson can get a job as loser deputy prime minister of Ukraine!

Headline I just read "Can Ukraine still win the war?"  Cheesy Totally deluded.

Frankly, I couldn't believe when the brits voted for Brexit. I was hoping they're smart enough to not buy that Boris's shit. Man I was wrong.   Cool

Damn bear markets are long & boring. The only positive is these are the times that anybody with a brain lays the foundations for massive future success & wealth by buying. It’s quite surreal isn’t it, the way that most of us think compared to the average pleb in life. In a raging bull market lots of us are selling, confirming a comfortable life for us & our families, putting cash aside to buy back at a big discount when the bear market comes.
So many idiots buy during the bullish times & sell during times like this. It must be part of the brain where we are wired differently, our way of thinking. What kind of a moron is selling at these prices? Seemingly quite a lot judging by the price. Some people are just ngmi.

Any way, looking forward to 2024 & 2025, all the memes & happiness in this thread. {insert Ghana’s dancing pallbearer's gif).

Keep buying brothers of the wall. I do not want to see any mindrusting here, that’s an order!

In the old days I would face temptation to sell during BTC crashes. Now, I am faced with a new type of temptation: Wanting to borrow fiat to buy more BTC.

What a familiar feeling. Have this feeling for the last 10 years at least.  Cool

Usual WO game.
Where I am: level easy.
Where am I headed to?

Earl's Court underground station.

Maybe you're going to watch Wimbledon?

That was an easy one.

Anyone fancy strawberry and cream?

Sure, or put Emma Raducanu in your bag pack for me.
Whichever is easiest.

For reference:

Camila Giorgi is also smoking hot btw:

[...]

I have quite some BTC but I'm giving ETH a shot with some on-the-side-cash

I had a few billion of shibas/shibes wtf u call them, and I was so pissed that I had to pay ETH for the transaction. I had to send from my hard wallet some LTC on the swap wallet to buy 0.02 ETH for the fee. I was so mad that day and the stench of ETH stood with me in my mind for so long.   Roll Eyes   Roll Eyes

Well I remember BTC having a >$50 transaction fee at one point when the market was crazy...
Things can get fixed... Smiley

$50? You gotta be joking! I paid 1 grand +  in fees to grab the forks back in 2017.  Grin

1479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 18, 2022, 09:39:29 PM
the feelings are currently worse than the actual decline %.
It is "only" 74% for the current low vs 84% in 2018.
I guess it is because of a larger $ numbers in play.

And the fact that we were dropping from height of a blow off top back in 2018....  Cool not some pathetic x3 like this time...
