1481  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Avalon Asic Chips .0391 BTC per Chip. Half off retail price on: August 29, 2013, 12:02:45 AM
So you are selling them for half the price to stop losing more money?!?

I think that's the idea. It will cost more than the cost of the chips to have them assembled unless you can do it yourself. 1,000 chips sent to Burnin costs about $6500 plus shipping to assemble.

Ahh, I see ... I will edit the first post to only include a quote from the other thread and let people make up their own mind.
1483  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTiON: 10 60GH/s singles from BFL, Early August pre order on: August 27, 2013, 03:25:38 PM
OP, we're at about 10 days  Wink Is the end in sight?
1484  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: knC legit? on: August 27, 2013, 03:20:09 PM
Can someone explain why they are still using a FPGA to simulate their ASIC chip? How can they possibly deliver final units starting next month when they don't have a chip yet? (I could not find pictures of a chip, so I assume it is still in production until they post pics.) I am thinking late October or early November is more realistic assuming all goes well. The other big question is if they can produce the number of units already ordered for it to be worth buying one now from their site. This has been a big problem with BFL, Avalon, and maybe Bitfury resellers very soon. So, I don't know why it would be any different with KNC. Maybe it won't be a problem if KNC does not mine with customer's hardware once it is produced. I believe this is the real delay from BLF and Avalon.

That's my two cents.
1485  Economy / Auctions / Re: [SALE] Avalon Batch 3 Unit 4 modules in hand [115GH/s@360Mhz] on: August 27, 2013, 11:56:30 AM
Best of luck with the sale. If your other sale falls through, I'm a buyer at 44BTC with John K. escrow and I'll cover shipping.
1486  Economy / Auctions / Re: [SALE] Avalon Batch 3 Unit 4 modules in hand [115GH/s@360Mhz] on: August 27, 2013, 10:23:08 AM
Your calculations are based on mining from August 1st onwards.

You should consider that I set the difficulty to 65, so from this point my prediction is right.
Next thing I've noticed is your price per BTC - 121$. But now it's about 130$.
Let's go further - with increasing difficulty (from 36 to 65) we can see increasing price (from 100 to 130).

So, I guess, my prediction is more accurate.

How exactly is someone going to make $3,250 in the month of August?

I like the idea of someone selling an Avalon that wants a ROI to still be possible at current exchange rates. The only problem is we cannot go back in time to the beginning of August. Your calculations are based on mining from August 1st onwards.

Here is a more accurate calculation (with lower estimated difficulty increase),

1488  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 2 x 120 gh/s BitFury (metabank) pre-orders on: August 24, 2013, 02:34:22 PM
Pidobir won't transfer ownership? I think transfer of ownership should be enough. I mean if Metabank never delivers or pidobir doesn't ship, it is the risk that you are selling right? Otherwise, it does make sense to wait for it to arrive then sell it.
1489  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 3 x 120 gh/s BitFury (metabank) pre-orders on: August 23, 2013, 01:29:11 PM
Any chance runners up might get to buy a unit?  Wink
1490  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTiON: 10 60GH/s singles from BFL, Early August pre order on: August 23, 2013, 12:04:39 PM
updating bid to 2 x 15BTC with John K escrow or verification to prove your account was not hacked (this happened to me before).
1491  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 3 x 120 gh/s BitFury (metabank) pre-orders on: August 23, 2013, 01:14:51 AM
Don't remember. Bid until it is over Smiley

Well i bid 36 if that was a valid 35 bid

I was referring to an earlier auction but if you are willing to go 36BTC, I'm out at 35BTC. $4k USD is my max.
1492  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 3 x 120 gh/s BitFury (metabank) pre-orders on: August 22, 2013, 01:52:34 PM
I wish I had bid 35BTC 3 days ago in your last auction, the exchange price is really high now.  Undecided Still watching and waiting to see if the exchange rate drops enough for me to place another bid ...
1493  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Avalon Batch #3 PDU on: August 21, 2013, 02:17:02 PM
There is one for sale unassembled from BlackArrow http://www.cardreaderfactory.com/shop/power-distribution-unit.html. Otherwise, I would try contacting Bitmine.ch on ordering fully assembled replacement parts.
1494  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 3 x 120 gh/s BitFury (metabank) pre-orders on: August 20, 2013, 03:19:10 PM
Invalid bid

Please explain. No US bidders or just not me (or RoboCoder)?
1495  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 3 x 120 gh/s BitFury (metabank) pre-orders on: August 20, 2013, 01:45:07 PM
I'm in for 1 @ 30BTC (plus additional cost for USA shipping or being hosted by pidobir).
1496  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTiON: 10 60GH/s singles from BFL, Early August pre order on: August 17, 2013, 10:02:48 PM
1 @ 15BTC with John K. escrow - offer expires when we reach the next difficulty Wink.
1497  Economy / Auctions / Re: Avalon Batch 3 - 3 Module as well as 10x4.5GH/s Klondike - 125GH/s+ Total! on: August 16, 2013, 05:30:33 PM
I'd go 35BTC for the Avalon, but the 10xK16 boards are worth less than what you paid for them (to me, only 8BTC). So, 43BTC for all with USA shipping on the Avalon and John K. Escrow.

Hopefully, you can find a better offer but if you need the coins let me know.
1498  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of BITFURY Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: August 16, 2013, 12:22:02 PM
Was considering investing into a one of those USB Drillbit systems.. Went to use your website.. NOPE.

You guys need a hand with web design..? Your site just costed you a sale.. And my guess would be more then just i was turned off by the 20 second to build site. :/

I love the idea of the product.. Just highly doubting legitimacy.

Dude, this isnt a full on company with products, this is a couple of guys organizing a group buy and offering assembly services. It is a huge waste of time to design a vibrant website when all of the information you need is on this forum, and it all being organized by this forum.

+1
I'm done with vaporware companies with pretty websites. Keep it to the basics is fine with me. Although, a terms and conditions of the group buy might be a good idea to add to the website to disclose all risks, etc. in case of a paypal dispute in the future if something goes wrong or is delayed.
1499  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of BITFURY Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: August 16, 2013, 12:16:25 PM
If we ordered one board early on and added more as this group buy develops, can all of the boards be shipped together at the original position in the order queue? Or, do you think all orders will ship fairly quickly, say within a week, regardless of when of the order was placed? Thanks.
1500  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of BITFURY Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: August 14, 2013, 06:45:10 PM
I'm talking about pre-orders for October! They used to be listed on the site for anyone to buy and now they are no longer available to PRE-order. One real of chips does not constitute a 'large order' anyway. This is a reasonable question, unless Barntech has some other arrangement made.
