1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: April 10, 2023, 01:11:52 PM
Qatar managed to host the best FIFA World Cup in history. I hope more or less all football fans are satisfied with Qatar in this World Cup. Qatar's stadiums were beautiful to behold. But FIFA brings new surprises every time, hope next world cup we will see some great surprises.
Qatar's success in hosting the 2022 World Cup is inseparable from Qatar's very good finances

the 3 countries that will host the 2026 World Cup must be able to provide something that balances what Qatar provides, such as good stadiums and security for fans from other countries who come to watch because these two things are the benchmark for the success of hosting the world cup

apart from that the political conditions in the host country must also be fine, so that there are no worries from the fans, for example in Indonesia, only because some politicians hate Israel, Indonesia failed to host the U-20 world cup
the best thing they did it - gave so much protection to the women and banned alcohol
Alcohol is the root cause of all the evil and banning it is saving the community from so many ills
so you mean, qatar won't be successful in carrying out the world cup if they free alcohol drinks there, if so then I'm worried that if in the world cup 2026 later, the three countries will not be successful in carrying out the world cup because we know that alcohol in the three countries is quite freely traded buy especially for fans who are already adults

the effects of alcohol will be very severe, especially if ultras fans come, then clashes between fans will not be avoided. Therefore, the three countries that will be homeless for the 2026 World Cup need to think of a precise strategy so that fans, players from each country and local residents can enjoy the event in peace

And why are the homeless involved in this discussion?  You mean if there the likes of them, a certain event can't be peaceful and they will be a threat? Hold your horses mate, there's certainly no need for that kind of comment because being homeless doesn't mean that they will be dangerous nor a killer of somebody else's joy.

With or without any alcohol beverages, everything can still happen as it's somehow normal that some fans will be clashing with each other as they are supporting a different team. That's why event bouncers are placed everywhere.
1482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I still believe I am on the right path on: April 10, 2023, 12:41:28 PM
Even if I have bought some bitcoin a few days after the launch day, there is a 99% chances that I would have sold the Bitcoin, the enemies of holding Bitcoin for a newbie is

1. Market manipulators
2. My own psychology

Market manipulators must have made me want to wet my pants, in the past years there are many FUD about Bitcoin, calling it another bubble, this could have made me give up.

We all have our demons too, I could have listened to them, saying, sell, sell, sell, you dummy, this thing is going to die and you will lose all your capital.

I believe it's a good thing to have grown with Bitcoin all this past years and have grown the confidence to hold through any weather, Bitcoin have proven itself to be the best solution to decentralization.

Now I don't hear my demons trying to confuse me to sell, I was there once, I knew how it felt to believe in something you don't have trust in, today I've made up my mind, to always be with Bitcoin.

You are not too late, you just find the reason to keep supporting Bitcoin, to keep holding your Bitcoin bag. My confidence in Bitcoin is now 100%.

It's not just you, but anyone who bought Bitcoin back in the early days either sold it or lost access to their wallets. Market manipulators are always trying to mess with Bitcoin, and they will probably keep doing it in the future to make people panic and sell.

It's awesome that you're still holding onto this valuable digital asset, even today. It shows that your trust in Bitcoin is stronger than the fake news that those manipulators spread around.

In-fact, there are only few people who managed to hold their bitcoins from the first time they bought it way back when bitcoin was still really unknown. There is indeed a huge chance that even if you managed to held it into a few ATH, you will eventually sell it, just like lots of those holders who have sold theirs way back December of 2017.
Hence, why it's important if we stick into our timeline and hold it as long as we can even if the market is almost forcing us to sold what we have. I mean, that's quite normal and what's not normal is if we let them decide our fate.
1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 10, 2023, 03:24:32 AM
Suns picked Clippers instead of Warriors. They could've won the game if they wanted to, but lost to Clippers and became play-off first round opponents. This is pretty logical as they avoid the last champion. Paul George's return is still unknown.
Lakers won but it wasn't enough for 6th place. They need to pass play-in rounds now. Pelicans is also in form but Lakers wouldn't make mistakes here.

Agree, The Suns could've get that game with a win on their favor but they chose to rest the cores 2 games early and let the bench players handle the Clippers who are still chasing for a safe spot in the playoffs. It would've been nicer if the Suns will face the Warriors instead of giving them an easy way in the first round because the Warriors will face the unexperienced roster of the Sacramento Kings. Anyway, this season is really interesting, lots of unexpected turns. See you all in the playoffs mate!
1484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 10, 2023, 02:40:25 AM
Congrats as well @danherbias07, good hit on that Tapales win.

This is just one hurdle that Marlon did, he was a huge underdog, nevertheless he proved how smart he is, just outpointing Murodjon Akhmadaliev is very tough as this fight in the US. Good thing that 2 of the judges was fair, they even have the same score, so most likely it was very close but at the end Marlon did a good job.

But the biggest challenged for him will be the winner of Fulton vs Inoue. It's difficult fight, either who wins, IMHO.

So seems Filipino boxing fans got a very good news with Tapales' win.

Actually it feels like a treat, I am surprised that Tapales is able to get the split decision since the fight is too close.  The former champion also performs well and actually I thought he was winning the fight.  So I was surprised when the two judges gives the fight to Tapales.

And they don't expect that it will be Tapales who will face first Inoue (if Inoue will beat Fulton on their fight).

Who would have thought that Tapales would be the one waiting for the other title match to finish and possibly face for a title unification fight.

Because most are looking for Casimero to face Inoue, but it seems Tapales is on his track to face Inoue.

True! Tapales is actually out of the radar because Casimero is way more popular than Tapales but I think it is the other way around now.

If Tapales will do his job of preparing and not trash talk like what Casimero usually does, then, for me, he has better chance inside the ring.
But we all know, when it comes to odds, Inoue will still be the favorite. For now, let's wait for the Fulton vs Inoue's results.

I do not think Tapales can endure Inoue's punches.  We have seen on the final round that Tapales almost kissed the canvas.  So it is not impossible to think Inoue knocking Tapales out.

Right, I believe we were just too focused on seeing Casimero's movement rather than watching and seeing Marlon Tapales on his championship fight against the former 2-belt champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev. If I'm not wrong, we even don't a thread for that fight because Tapales isn't that famous compared to Casimero and as a Filipino, I'm guilty enough to admit that I didn't even know that Tapales got a championship fight last night.

Anyway, I looked a replay on that fight and was surprised that even if the fight was close, Tapales prevailed and managed to give a hard time on his foe. Even Eddie Hearn was surprised that the judges favored Tapales instead of his boxer, Murodjon.

Isn't it great, we got another Filipino champion again and I thought that Donaire or Casimero is the closest one to give that to us. Congratulations again, Marlon Tapales! Cool
1485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: April 10, 2023, 02:05:37 AM

This fight was made in order for Shakur to look good and they were successful as he dominated and toyed the Japanese Yoshino but still Top Rank will be having trouble finding Shakur an opponent that could earn him the respect of the boxing community, don't get me wrong but with Shakur fighting a nobody in the lightweight division is so boring to watch but I hope that it will change in his next few fights.

This is a bad fight and a bad preparation if he is going to fight whoever wins between Loma and Haney,
the match is very one-sided I thought I was watching a match between a professional and an amateur, Yoshino I believe is an unbeaten fighter but he is nowhere on the level of Shakur, this is the kind of fight that the boxing community will not watch even buy a ticket his promoters should give him a real challenge this is as easy as a walk in a park.

Yes, that was the first defeat in Shuichiro Yoshino's career and I bet he already knew that he will have his first defeat in-front of Shakur because he has been chosen to fight for Shakur's tune-up but I agree, this is really a bad preparation if Bob Arum is indeed letting him face the winner of Loma-Haney fight. Although, I somehow sense that Shakur is already ready for a fight like that.
1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 10, 2023, 01:21:29 AM
If you decide to invest in Doge, then it is important to follow the news and analysis in the crypto community in order to make informed investment decisions. It is also recommended not to invest more than you are willing to lose.
In general, the decision to invest in Doge or not should be based on your own research and understanding of the risks.

The same rules when selecting coins apply to all coins when investing. But the difference between Doge and other coins is precisely that you have to track all the tweets of Elon Musk that may be the reason for the pump of this coin. This applies to both positive and negative posts about Doge.

Elon Musk is very important character to follow if people want to invest in doge since he is somehow can manipulate its market thru his influence and other more. And we should not try to follow what other do if they are into long time hold with this coin because knowing Elon he can reverse back the price and create a fud just to make people panic on certain situation he want to create.

And that seriously explains why Doge is not a reliable nor profitable coin to invest on, we all know about it that's why it's been labeled as meme coin because it has no utility as well. Moreover, there's no telling if we can really gain if we ride with Elon because he is surely not doing this for everybody's gain, he's just doing it for his own self gain. Every crypto whale is the same, why would you guys try and waste your time on this coin if there are dozens of other coins in the market that is more profitable and less risky.
1487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: April 08, 2023, 08:20:43 PM

Good news though for the boxing community knowing this fight is one of the anticipated fight for too long.

Lots of dramas already happened and some even gave up already that this fight will be materialized for real.

Although for me, not unless a formal and official announcement will be made on April 22, as per stated on the article, I will not still look forward for this to be happened for real. Let's wait for the official announcement.

It's a good news indeed, for someone who doesn't know what happened on their first negotiation Grin

But for those who knew what really happened, we cannot really blame them if they were acting that way or not yet convinced that it will really happen in June because even us here in this forum who are following the news about the unification fight isn't that convinced unless it will be announced officially in the Tank Davis vs Ryan Garcia bout.

There's no need to be excited about it for now because anything can happen along the way, we can't know for a fact if Al Haymon and Spence is playing again or not.
1488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 08, 2023, 07:53:40 PM

Honestly, I really don't expect that this fight will push through nor about the fight that just surfaced lately, the Crawford-Spence unification fight. It's truly hard to consider these two bouts because of the image that Spence and Al Haymon portrayed in the industry right now, I can't blame anyone if ever they aren't convinced that a unification fight will suddenly happen out of nowhere.
And in this bout, if ever this will not happen, let's expect that Keith Thurman will have his own interview or statement saying whatever happened why the fight didn't materialized.

It's been circulating on the internet, they will not feed it in the boxing community if something is not happening because it will have an impact on the gate and PPV receipt, once a fight is on the go only an injury can stop it, its like a breach of contract if Spence is negotiating outside of this fight.
Of course, we all want a Crawford - Spence fight but the community has been taken for a ride for a long time that news like this has not been getting a warm reception, even Thurman's camp is quiet when this news comes out, there should be an update this week.

Not all news or rumors that are circulating on the internet are going to happen, let's face that. These article producers or the likes of Mike Coppinger are just a news bringer and that doesn't mean that it will really happen even if they are already reputable on the news that they are giving in the past.

The thing is, Spence isn't afraid of breaching any contract for the mandatory fight against Thurman because what would be the effect on his side? Nothing, because his belts are situated at welter and not in super-welter, so there will be no stripping of belts if Spence won't show up or do something regarding the mandatory fight that has been ordered.
1489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 08, 2023, 06:24:26 PM
Ok , after last night , I do hate Irving and this guy has managed to broke Mavs team in just a few games after his arrival.  He has no passion to play basket anymore and even if he had , the way he thinks about life in general , won't be any help for his teammates or the team that is playing on.

I so upset on this guy to simply destroying a season of Mavs and man , I do hope they will trade him tonight or simply make him a free agent and leave Dallas tonight man as no one wants him there anymore. My boy Luka has such a great season and a hard working one just for a guy like Irving to come and tell them stories about flat earth society and what other crap he thinks about.
I understand the frustration bro. As a Mavericks fan, or should I say a Luka Doncic fan I am also frustrated about how things ended up in this season. I was very hopeful they will be in a safe spot in the Western Conference and would battle the Warriors again in the first round or end up in the Conference Finals but it had been a rough road for Luka especially when the trade happened.
Brunson, Finney-Smith, and Dinwiddie, these guys are what made Luka better because they are real roleplayers that are surrounding the star to look pretty. Now, I don't see that anymore. No great smiles from Luka even if they are losing as long as it ended with a competitive game. He doesn't enjoy the game anymore which makes it sad.
Mavs will be better, but I doubt that Irving will be the one to make it happen.

Well, we indeed expect that the Mavs will have a much better run because he will get his pair who is an all-star caliber compared to what they did before the trade, but when these two began playing side by side, the outcome is not that enjoyable anymore because they are really having a hard time chasing scores because their defense is not tough anymore. Look at the Nets now, they got a much better record compared to what we expected and they even clinched a playoff spot.
1490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 08, 2023, 04:00:35 PM
The only hot game today is the Mavericks versus the Chicago Bulls and they are still playing with 1 minute left. A very close game.
Edit: Bulls won, 3 point lead.
With that loss, the Mavericks are officially eliminated from the tournament already.

Kyrie didn't play because of foot injury, and at the same time, Hardaway Jr. didn't play because of ankle injuries. Their 2 bigs Kleber, and Wood didn't play as well. What do you expect from the Mavericks if they ruled out their main role players. It's a bit surprising that they only lost by 3 points against the Bulls without DeRozan, and Lavine.
And Luka only played for a single quarter, for the remaining 3 quarters. It's surprising enough that the Mavs almost got a win versus the Bulls because somehow the Bulls got more reliable roster without their core compared to the Mavs.

Quote
After having a very good playoff run, the Mavericks didn't even clinch the play-in position. I wonder what will the Mavericks front office will do in the off-season. Will they pursue Irving, and build a team around both him and Luka? Will they get better role players? Will Luka request a trade? Cheesy
That sounds interesting Grin surely, there will be some changes because the management isn't happy with the results they got after having a good run this season. But let's see what is it because as of now, no speculations yet.
1491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: April 07, 2023, 08:57:38 PM
According to the same article provided by the OP, the fight is not yet a done deal based on “Dan Rafael’s sources are telling him that the fight isn’t a done deal, though the sides continue to negotiate, and that if it does get done, it won’t be June 17.”

I’m still not convinced that these 2 boxer will ever continue this undisputed fight while they still have the best career they can ever have by avoiding each other. I’m sure no one is willing to give way for the profit split since they are both undisputed. Even the most recent news is still doesn’t show any confirmation for dream fight.

You don't understand Crawford if you think he is avoiding anyone.  Dude she'd his promoting team so that he can fight whoever he needs to.  He just wants his fair share of the purse.  But the dude never ducked anyone.  It's always people ducking Crawford no one wants to go 10 full with him.  No one.

Clear enough that he was not that informed on what happened in the past few months or why the first negotiation fell through despite the fact that the fans are already delighted because both camps has commenced their discussion. For the record, Crawford never ducked anyone and he even left the Top Rank just to make the unification fight into reality but even that wasn't enough to get Al Haymon's approval. And regarding about the purse split, Crawford said it himself that he was ready to take as low as 30% because there's nobody to share with unlike Spence who had his promotional camp.
1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 07, 2023, 08:33:21 PM
For sure if this first match would be ending up that interesting the anytime there would really be a rematch that would be arranged on which im also anticipating for this one which it wont really be that shocking..

I'm not sure with the rematch. Stephen Fulton is ready to moved up to Featherweight division and it's just that Inoue climbed at 122, leaving him with no choice but to face Inoue first. I do think that there will be no rematch here and regardless of the result, Stephen Fulton will moved up no matter what.

But let's see first what will happened as there's even no mentioned yet, even in some news, that there's a rematch clause on the contract.
It is possible a rematch may not happen and this could be the only instance in which we will see Fulton and Inoue fighting each other, because as you mention Fulton was already to move up a division, however the opportunity to fight Inoue presented itself and Fulton could not let this opportunity to pass him up, after all he wants to gain more recognition, and what better way to gain it than to beat the boxer many consider to be the best pound for pound on his own country?
We can only expect a rematch if it's written in the contract. And since it was not announced that there was something like that, we should not expect a rematch. However, it still depends on the outcome of this fight. If the outcome is controversial and this fight sells to the crowd, promoters would love to make a rematch as they'll make more money from it. The fighters just have to follow the orders from their promoters.

Yeah, let's not get ahead of ourselves, Fulton is also supposedly rematch Figueroa because the result of their first fight was a bit controversial. But he chooses not to and just go directly with Fulton here. While Figueroa make that good decision to go for Magsayo for the vacate belt and won.

But here, we can't discount the fact that there could be rematch or non at all, depends on the outcome of the fight as you have said.

And most likely if there is rematch, it could be in the States and it will be Inoue who will have to travel to Fulton's backyard.

Possible if ever they have a rematch claw when they've signed the deal/contract, I'm sure fans will love to see if they
will get the entertainment that they've paid for.

Both fighters are champs and they are likely to have a selection of fans though in my opinion, fans wise Inoue is more likely got a wider one
compared to Fulton.

correct me if I'm wrong, though it's just my opinion in terms of numbers of fans.

You might be right that Naoya Inoue got more fans around the world compared to Steph Fulton, although there's actually no statistics to confirm our theory but I guess it's safe to assume that one. Anyway, knowing that Al Haymon is with Steph Fulton, there might be rematch clause that they chose not to mention as of now, just like with the Canelo vs Bivol, we never knew there were any until Canelo was defeated.
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 07, 2023, 07:43:21 PM

Shakur By KO is 3.55. This is a very substantial odd I think Shakur can actually bring Yoshino down before 5th round. He isn't a boxer that rings a bell and indeed this is sort of a tuneup for Shakur.

It's surprising he is given an opponent that is not on a list that could potentially make a lot of money. He should be fighting the top contender.

Yes, I guess we can really call this a tune-up fight because it's a cherry-picked fight in the first place to highlight Shakur Stevenson's climb and first fight at 135 pounds. Win by a way of KO is more profitable compared to the win by decision because Shakur is not known as a KO boxer but in this case, via KO is more possible considering the fact you said above.

Not guess because it is indeed a cherry picked fight. Bob Arum made sure that his cow will make a good impression once he enters the lightweight division because before the Loma vs Haney discussion happened, I heard that it was rumored that Shakur Stevenson has been chosen by Devin Haney's camp as their next fight because they aren't yet due for any mandatory fight. So we can probably say that Shakur has already been groomed to have big fights as soon as he finishes Yoshino.
1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 07, 2023, 07:18:42 PM
4 losses in a row and Jazz is officially out of the play-in picture now. Mavericks have 2 games left, against Bulls and Spurs. Bulls guaranteed their 10th place so it's very possible for Mavs to win both games. Thunder have only one game left and they'll play with Grizzlies. Normally it'd be a though game but we probably see big rotation before play-off so Thunder may win this one. Last place for play-in will be determined in last games literally. I'm okay with both teams, either Thunder or Mavs for play-in but I don't think they'll get a spot in play-off.

If the Thunders will defeat the Grizzlies on their last game, the Mavs will still remain at the 11th spot which means they can't qualify for the play-in but even if the Thunders will get defeated here and the Mavs will just win one game out of the two remaining, they are still out of the picture because the Thunders have already defeated the Mavs this season with a 2-1 standing. So, even if they'll get a tie in the 10th spot, it belongs to the Thunder.
1495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOGE surges as Twitter change its website icon to Doge on: April 07, 2023, 05:59:44 PM
As a meme-based cryptocurrency, DOGE has always had a strong community following. The recent surge in its price after Twitter changed its website icon , the dog breed associated with DOGE, is a testament to the power of online communities and viral marketing. However, it's important to remember that DOGE's price is highly volatile and influenced by a variety of factors, so investors should approach it with caution.
There’s a huge risk here so deal with care because Elon can change his mind anytime and it happened already before for sure, the price will be more volatile. The hype of Elon to DOGE is very influential, by just changing the logo of the twitter the price reacts on this,

Elon Musk definitely know when to take advantage of his position and power to make a meme coin surge even for just a short period of time, for those who have successfully rode the wave during that time, I'm certain that they are just too happy right now but for those who didn't and failed, they maybe cursing after the drop. I mean, they can't blame anyone especially Elon because they are the ones who chose the coin and I know they know the risks with it.

...what will happen to DOGE if twitter backs its old logo? That can be more worst.

Well, here's what happened: Dogecoin Drops After Elon Musk's Twitter Stops Using Its Dog Logo
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is currently the best crypto to invest in? on: April 07, 2023, 05:28:51 PM
I think we shouldn’t debate much about this topic. We all know and agree that Bitcoins are the best coin possible to invest. At least it’s the best for long term trading and investment. The reason is pretty simple, we have seen what Bitcoins are capable of for the past 10+ years. Bitcoins have the largest marketcap and very much popular among the masses. Moreover the limited amount of Bitcoins makes the coin more valuable and hence you will definitely expected to get returns when the demand for the coin will increase. Now the choice is yours. Use your brain and choose wisely.

Yep, bitcoin is truly and the only cryptocurrency that I can confidently advice. Bitcoin has been around us for more than 2 decades already and the fact that it is still alive up until now and helping people's lives to be comfortable is a definite evidence that it is the best crypto to invest in. Well, there are some altcoins as well if investors are also looking for some alternatives that they can add to their portfolio.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: April 06, 2023, 09:08:00 PM
Thanks for making a thread for us to discuss about this bout OP, let's hope that we can indeed use this thread and that this fight will be later announced just like what the article you shared was saying.

As of now, I won't deny the fact that I'm very skeptical on this one especially after the fact that their first negotiations fell down. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of this two because of what they've done on their career but recently, Spence has become an embarrassment for being so silent and worse, they wasted Crawford's time because none of their camp really wanted it to happen.

So again, I'd classify this as a speculation/rumor regardless of what the article have said and will only believe that it will really happen if it will be announced in the Garcia-Davis fight.
1498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 06, 2023, 08:46:46 PM

Assuming Garcia will walk inside the ring just like the confident and strong fighter that he was, then he has real chances of beating Davis. We've also seen Garcia not easily affected by a knockdown in the past. So he's probably not to be easily finished should Davis knock him down.

The fighter with the better strategy is likely to win in this matchup. Given that both are KO artists, they are aware that a single mistake could cost them the match. I don't anticipate an early knockout; it's more likely that it will come in the later rounds once both fighters get tired and become more aggressive.

Right, being biased here won't mean a single thing as even if Ryan Garcia or Tank Davis got the advantage of the given factor, it's not yet sure and guaranteed that either one of them will have a success on this fight. The fact that both of them is a KO boxer which means that both of them got an equal chance of destroying each other inside the ring, now the anticipated question is, in what way will this fight finish?
1499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 06, 2023, 08:02:47 PM
Yes, instead of making these fights easier to avoid conflicts in politics, Crawford's got the opposite outcome because his decision to leave the stable of Bob Arum seems to become his biggest nightmare now because he's not getting any good deals after that. I don't know what's the plan of Crawford because the last rumor months back was that he might sign under Eddie Hearn but nothing happened until now.

As Crawford stated last November:

"I just blame the business of boxing. I don't blame myself for [even] one portion of the fight not being made. ... I felt like I agreed to everything that I needed to agree to. "I feel like I've done everything I'm supposed to do as an independent fighter to get that fight made. But there's only so much I can do."

It's clear and he understands as an independent fighter and a free agent that he will just agree to everything regardless if it's fair or not on his side just to make the big bout against Spence will be materialized. But still, the negotiations fail, and what else he can do now? So unfortunate that he ended up like that.

I actually appreciate and admire Crawford for doing that. He took that huge risk and dive right into it in-exchange for a small hope that the unification between him and Spence will somehow happen after he severe his ties with Bob Arum and Top Rank. He even said in the interview after the negotiations failed that he was willing to take as low as 30% slice just to make it happen because he actually believe that Bob Arum was the only hurdle left, that's why he took care of it.

Little did Crawford know that Al Haymon and Spence actually doesn't want to make that unification fight happen, I even believe Bob Arum knew it right from the start but Crawford's mind was fixed on that moment and decided to leave the promotional company.

And Canada and Mexico will host a total of 20 games, right? Or are there any changes?

From what I know, Canada and Mexico will host 10 games each and the rest will be held in US soil. That is quite less because in this new format where 48 teams will play, there will be a total of 100+ games. I mean, it should be maximized because they also have a large stadium to host some of the games and it will be a big help to the host cities to boost their businesses.

As far as I know, this 10-match figure was decided earlier, when FIFA was thinking about a 3 team per group format. But then they changed the format to 4-team groups and therefore the total number of matches almost doubled to 104. So I guess both Canada and Mexico will get more matches to be staged within their borders. But I have a question here. If USA is hosting more than 70% of the matches, then why Canada and Mexico are being allotted automatic qualification to the 2026 World Cup? They are not co-hosts. They are just subsidiary hosts.

I guess so because I'm sure that Canada and Mexico won't be sitting quietly while they are just being handed with 10 games each while the USA will be hosting the remaining games which gives them more profits to their economy and business establishments near the venues. It's quite unfair to think that USA will be hosting 84 games if that's indeed the case.

To answer that question, Canada and Mexico aren't subsidiary hosts. They're co-hosts of USA this coming 2026, hence why their national teams did automatically got the advantage of being qualified directly. These 3 countries won the bid together, just like what happened in 2002 World Cup where Japan and South Korea hosted it together.
