921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]Adrien Broner vs Chris Howard (Welterweight) Nov 4. . on: October 17, 2023, 01:05:52 PM
Yes, most likely this is the case, as we all know that Broner doesn't have the hype anymore and obviously his opponent? We don't know him really. So it's a good move for the promoters, or maybe it will be good if this could be in some undercard, so that there will be exposure.

But in any case that the promoters are going to make this a stand alone fight, might be difficult to make money. Unless they really low ball both of this fighters to accept the fight with small money.

Everybody knows Adrien Broner! He's a former champion and even went head-to-head with Manny Pacquiao. Maybe the reason this fight isn't for a championship is that they're trying to figure out how to make it appealing to the fans and generate a ton of money.

If they're having trouble finding the right timing, they could make this fight an undercard for a popular main event in boxing. Or, Broner might just decide to leave professional boxing and jump into the hype of exhibition matches. Who knows, maybe he'll even take on one of the Paul Brothers!
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 17, 2023, 12:19:49 PM

Bad news indeed but i do agree with your opinion mate that the PBA landscape will change a bit and most likely TNT Katropa will be the favorite to win as RHJ is a proven import and only Brownlee could match his intensity (as far as last year is concern). But with TNT Katropa also having issues with manpower, i do think that the Commissioner's Cup trophy is open for grabs for all as of now.

Hope this new network could deliver what is expected of them.

Based on what Rondae Hollis-Jefferson showed in the FIBA World Cup and Asian Cup, he is already a proven import who might easily dominate especially without Justin Brownlee in the league. TNT is lucky to have him back, and aside from already creating some chemistry, they know that he is a reliable import. This is unlike first-time imports who are often on a trial basis, and if they don't fit, the team has to look for another import, which can mess up their chemistry as the conference is going on.

I think Justin Noypi will have an extended vacation now after winning a gold medal for our country. He deserves that break. Unfortunately, there is some bad news. I hope he doesn't take it too seriously, as the result might not be true, especially since the host country is the team they beat. Even if it is true, he's not the only one who has violated rules, and he just needs to make sure he doesn't make the same mistake again.

For now, we are awaiting any possible sanctions that Brownlee might face. Let's stay up to date on that.
923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach all-time-high before halving. - BitQuant on: October 15, 2023, 10:25:23 AM
Now is the time that determines the conditions for the halving day that will occur in early 2024. If this year's price closes still as it is now then you can be sure that the halving day will be difficult to create a new ATH, and of course we have to be prepared for all conditions and if things go bad happens then holding on and being patient is a better thing.
I do not see much changing any time soon regarding the price of Bitcoin until we enter next year. Bitcoin need big news to make serious moves and so far there is no big news we are expecting that will cause this move. Even the war in Gaza does not seem like something that will make huge waves in Bitcoin.
Do you mean that the price of Bitcoin is relying only on the news? Bitcoin is not like altcoins which really have to hear big news in order for the price to move. AFAIK, Bitcoin remains so popular and people are investing in this even without hearing any news. Of course, we can't expect a huge price increase this year and even early next year but I was sure that the halving event had a huge impact on its price before and after.
ATH is still uncertain when it comes but based on my experience, it comes after halving which I think is still the same.
924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play equal to deposited funds before you can withdraw on: October 15, 2023, 05:36:53 AM
I've come across some sites that aren't too particular about that, but there are also those that implement such a rule. The best thing to do is to read their TOS so you don't end up complaining when your withdrawal gets put on hold. Just remember that the crypto gambling industry is a huge market, which means there are lots of players. So, choose the best one for you.
925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 15, 2023, 04:47:30 AM
TNT Katropa might not depend their crown as they are having these personal issues of their players. Pogoy out, then there is this rumors that Mikey Williams won't be back in the PBA as he might be pasturing a greener pasture in Japan, these not sounds good to coach Jolas.

Roger Pogoy having that medical condition will be undoubtedly bad for Coach Jolas. But for Mikey Williams? I should say Coach Jolas won't mind him even how good that player is because he settles for a player with good behavior rather than just allowing Mikey to do what he likes because he thinks he's the superstar for the team.
It's really sad for Pogoy. When we hear 'heart disease,' it sounds quite serious. I hope he'll be able to recover from that. I've seen some similar cases with an NBA player who also had heart disease; that's LaMarcus Aldridge, and I believe he's no longer active in the NBA.

Remember when Coach Jolas was vocal about the unprofessionalism of Mikey Williams before? Even though he's the star of the team, a 1-week suspension was taken in motion to M. Williams. Even way before that, Williams did really show some boastful attitude during the re-signing with TNT several seasons ago.

Talking about Pogoy, he's one of the best cagers in the TNT. I even think no one from the team can even fill the space that he will leave.

That's why Mikey Williams is sometimes inconsistent; it seems like this guy really has an attitude problem. We all know he is talented, but he seems to think he's the best and deserves special attention. He goes as far as breaking the rules. This kind of behavior might not bode well for the team in the long run. I wonder why TNT signed him, especially considering the past rumors that he demanded too much for his salary.
926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The most risky adventure you must avoid on: October 14, 2023, 12:03:38 PM
Well, losing is so painful but we also remember that no risk, no gain. No matter what kind of investment we have to start, risk is still there and we can possibly lose time especially if we don't manage too carefully. It was very clear to us that no investment that has no risk and no way we can avoid it. The more we become afraid to face reality, the more we lose our courage and hope. In order to improve our living and reach our goals, we must have to take risks and we are obliged to do that otherwise, we'd rather stop thinking about our goals.
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 7 ways to earn free cryptocurrency on: October 14, 2023, 11:36:33 AM
I'd stop thinking about FREE as it never existed really. I'd rather spend money and take risks because I was certain that there is something that could get in the coming days than relying on FREE which is impossible to happen. We don't need to be fooled by those tactics but instead, use our knowledge and skill in a way that we can generate profit, not just promises.

Our experience will teach us how the crypto market works and we know that only we get rewards if we work hard and risk some money.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t push playing more on: October 14, 2023, 06:39:47 AM
Absolutely true. When the outcomes are no longer in our favor, and we start feeling stressed, it's wise to take a break and assess the mistakes we've made. Our ultimate goal is to win, and we can't rush it. Gambling sites aren't going anywhere; we can always return to them later. What's crucial is that we are fully prepared, both mentally and emotionally. Lastly, we need to take measures to prevent addiction because that can lead to a disastrous situation. It's a serious disease that's difficult to cure.
Taking a short break is indeed the best advice for someone who is starting to feel stressed after playing gambling for a while and not getting any wins at all. Instead of experiencing more losses, they should be able to stop, rest, and reduce the tension they get from gambling.

We also still have plenty of time to gamble another day and there is no need to rush to continue playing because that could trigger our emotions to rise again. When that happens, maybe we won't be able to control ourselves and cause us to experience more losses.
We must monitor what happens to us so that it is not too late to deal with it and we can still think clearly. But if we only follow our passions, we will experience more loss.

We can provide some valuable suggestions based on our experiences as gamblers. In the past, I made mistakes when I rushed things. Personally, I've experienced gambling where my emotions ran high, resulting in chasing some bets. Even though my mind told me to take a break, I just couldn't stop. It felt like I was in a battle, and I'd only stop once I won or lost. Consequently, my bankroll had to be wiped out before I was forced to stop.

However, with experience comes wisdom. Here I am now, more mature and able to control myself without any problems.
929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 14, 2023, 05:17:53 AM
You know, some teams excel in the preseason but face significant challenges when the regular season begins.

That's a common occurrence because what we witness in the preseason doesn't always mirror what happens in the regular season. During the regular season, star players are anticipated to log their typical minutes, but in the preseason, they may opt to sit out or play with restricted minutes. Personally, I view the preseason as more akin to exhibition games; the true competition commences in the regular season.

Exactly, coaches give some minutes to star players to show up for the sake of the fans but it isn't the actual minutes that they've got each time
they play in the regular season.

More on preserving them and preventing the chances of unnecessary injuries, I think also that pre-season is more on exhibition type of game.

We will see teams to excel during the actual season or more to expect when playoff starts knowing that the real rush will be on that
stage of the league.

I understand that they want to protect their players from getting injured, but it's a real treat for the fans to see a superstar playing in the preseason. Well, I think we can already consider Wemby as a superstar, as he's likely to be one of the starters for the Spurs. We haven't seen a player like him, especially one with his height, generate this much hype before. He has a wide range of moves, and that's probably why we love watching him in action. However, you guys are right; we need to see what he can do during the regular season, and hopefully, he won't disappoint us.

The positive thing about this kid is that he's playing under Coach Spo, who is a great mentor. So, for sure, he'll continue to improve.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 14, 2023, 02:49:41 AM
Right now, we've got the Miami Heat facing off against the SAS, and it's been an exciting game to watch. Both teams are deadlocked at 72 points each.

What's really catching my eye here is Wemby - this guy is something special. He's already dropped 21 points, and there's still over 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. I get it, it's just preseason, but from what he's showing, it's crystal clear he's going to be a major asset for the Spurs. And mark my words, as long as he keeps healthy, he's going to give the Spurs a run for their money this season.

They won, and he finished with 23 points. However, it's worth noting that his turnovers were quite high. This could be a concern in the regular season when the defense might be more physical. Although his turnovers might be somewhat overshadowed by his high point total, being the leading scorer, any weaknesses in this area could potentially be exploited by opponents.

Congratulations to them! I hope their performance in the regular season is as strong as it was in the preseason. You know, some teams excel in the preseason but face significant challenges when the regular season begins.
931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 13, 2023, 01:21:26 PM
Holding will not be exhausting when an investor invests for a long period of time with a specific plan. Investors hold their investment for a certain period of time to get profit but after the desired profit is achieved those who hold their investment but do not get the profit as expected. I don't believe in holding all the time, I believe I must hold my investment for a certain period of time but if I get the desired profit within this period then I will sell my investment at that time and wait again for a better time. Those with less patience may get tired of investing. Before you become an investor you must be a patient person, whenever you become a patient person you can hold your investment for a certain period of time.
You gonna have to believe that because the truth is that nobody holds their coins forever, they will sell them right away when seeing a profit already. Perhaps, it is unbelievable to hear someone saying to hold your Bitcoin for 10 years in order to make more money, and why? because that person tried to assume that he could not be tired of waiting and holding especially when he kept checking his investment. I was certain that once you've got into doing this often, the temptation of selling them is very close. Of course, we can be patient but if we talk about holding for many years, that is optional depending if we can really do it. Selling them is okay as long as we are earning some profit.
932  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 13, 2023, 12:01:21 PM
Do you think that trading can be learnt well in a short time like three weeks for a quick trader? Can someone who is a proffesional trader just go straight to the point pointing out what is needed to make a successful trader to a newbie to learn quickly?
They can learn yeah but if we talk about between learning in a short period of time compared to spending a couple of months, you can see a huge difference with them. Maybe we could say it depends on the person but ideally, if we want to learn more, then must expect that it will take a longer time than usual. Better to know that there is no instant learning in trading and must remember that this is trading and we have a bigger chance to earn more if we have more experience and knowledge.

934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 13, 2023, 04:58:58 AM
At least it's just a temporary effect because the way to stop it is don't gamble at work.

But what if your employee or your boss know you're a gambler?
It's not temporary if the answer of the question is yes Smiley

it's a long term effect and every employees always know you're a gambler even you've stop to gamble. Most people always think gambler will give a bad effect at work, so you might be ostracized by other employees or kicked from the company.

It's best for employers to implement the rules effectively. They should ensure that they impose heavy penalties on employees caught gambling in the workplace. Not only does gambling have a personal negative effect on employees, but it also amounts to stealing time for which they are paid by the company which would affect the company financially as well.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: October 13, 2023, 02:31:25 AM
On the contrary, he was exposed, he doesn't have the gas tank and stamina, he was open for counter, doesn't have that reflex to protect himself, and then the poweris not there. Sure he hit Oguni and put him on skates, but it's not enough to even score a 8 count from the referee. And to be fair with the referee, he did good in officiating this fight, no biased whatsoever and stop it because Oguni can't see anymore and the injury is close to the eye.

I still want to witness him face Inoue, if only to finally settle their unfinished business. Given the way Casimero performed, fans of Inoue would eagerly anticipate their idol silencing him. The word "afraid" should no longer be in use, as Casimero's current condition is insufficient to defeat Inoue in a fight.

However, we can't rule out the possibility that Casimero might improve; we've observed his weakness, particularly his endurance, which his training camp should address.

In an interview, he expressed his desire to become the first champion from their boxing gym. This seems like a formidable challenge in the current division, with Inoue still reigning supreme.
936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a 20% Annual Return good ? on: October 12, 2023, 12:48:03 PM
I was not saying is not but it was more than enough to consider in trading. If someone got it to work consistently, then you can imagine yourself becoming rich a few years from the time you started. But the question is if that really exists in trading. Because with the volatility of the market and especially when bearish comes to happen, you can never expect such ROI. I would tell you OP that no matter what we do, we can't say there is consistency in trading. You may gain huge today but not sure by tomorrow and in the following days, it might be a big loss.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop discouraging Newbies from Bitcoin... on: October 12, 2023, 11:40:31 AM

I think I’ll reiterate this popular opinion: Bitcoin trading isn’t for newbies.
It’s always best to learn from someone’s mistakes so when  the majority of opinions from other members recommends gaining more knowledge and experience, the last thing you should feel is discouraged.

It was not just learning from someone's mistake but our personal mistakes. And it is not just we learn but have to do something to avoid such events. Most newbies come to invest with empty knowledge about it and no wonder why they will lose. We often give advice to DYOR, spend time learning to trade, don't rush- and all we did are a sort of investment warnings but too unfortunate that many we're tend not to listen but instead make their own way.

If they only just know how risky Bitcoin investment is, I could imagine that only a few people could take it. But it is not what we see, more and more newbies come because of this - "instant profit" which is circulated on the internet.

938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 12, 2023, 05:57:53 AM
Quote
I'm sure the Bucks' three-point shooting is going to be their best weapon, considering the size of the Lakers, so I guess they'll stick to what they're good at, especially Lillard.
Do you expect Giannis to focus on rebounding and not run much offense on the inside? Dame will definitely have his usual shots behind the arc but I'm actually expecting more of slicing and dicing from him. The Lakers will probably do the same so I'm looking forward to a physical game.
No way it's gonna be focus on 3-point shooting game for the Bucks, that's for sure. They can shoot from beyond the arc, but when it comes to Giannis, he's the "Greek Freak" for a reason. He knows how to own the paint, and he's in his prime, so that makes the Bucks way more unpredictable. Plus, they've got Lopez, who's a towering 7-footer, so they don't have any size disadvantages going on.

Now, the Lakers, on the other hand, struggle with those three-pointers. They're more likely to go hard in the paint, 'cause their 3-point game isn't strong.
939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: October 11, 2023, 11:17:57 AM
Odds are already out and it seems bookies are predicting that this would end via knockout so let us guess what round it may be.

Unlike Nghitumbwa, Oguni is very silent and secretive about his training camp and not so vocal about this fight so i think he is intimidated by Casimero. Since it is very hard to predict on what round this will end, i will just bet that this fight will reach over 6.5 with that @1.91 odds.

Just as anticipated, the odds have been released in advance of tomorrow's fight. I'm quite interested in observing how Casimero plans to defeat Oguni. He's the clear favorite, judging by the odds but odd is attractive on winning by decision. The probability of that happening seems quite low. So, it's either he faces the risk of losing if the fight goes to the judges' scorecards, possibly due to hometown bias, or he might secure a victory by knocking out Oguni.

The over 6.5 rounds option is tempting, but, to be honest, I'm more inclined to take a chance on odds greater than 1.91, but I wanna say good luck to you.
940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling vs trading on: October 11, 2023, 10:25:47 AM
...
With all these being  said it is important to note that hodling shitcoin is not advisable due to their exponentially high volatility which may lead to severe loss if not properly managed.
Trading and hodling is always a choice as they indirectly serve as balance to the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Some might be got into that situation but have learned already and besides, nobody will be able to hold for nothing.
Some people will choose to hold crypto rather than get into trading because they know themselves that they are not fit to trade. Of course, there is no reason to do that either if we know that we just lose while holding gives us of what we aim for. Well, holding is the best option I see...less risk, less possible chances of losing but most of all, we have a big chance to earn more.
